Convert to xls

I am trying to convert a pdf to xls , and am getting an error message " AN ERROR OCCURRED WHILE SIGNING IN"
I dont know what the error is , or how to correct it .

We're sorry to hear you're having trouble. Could you try opening Adobe Reader XI and choosing Edit > Preferences (Windows) or Adobe Reader > Preferences (Mac), then select 'Adobe Online Services' from the left-hand side. Click 'Sign Out...', then sign back in with your Adobe ID and password.
Once this is complete, try accessing ExportPDF from the Tools pane again.

Convert doc/xls document to html

I'am sorry if my post isn't in the appropriate category. I would like to convert an Excel document (.xls) and an Word document to html using Java.
Do you know if exists an API which permits to do that ? I tried to use Poi but it converts my read xls File to Text file and don't really translate the contain.

BIJ001, I know exactly what you are requesting. I too am using Apache POI and have the same dilemma. If you already found a solution please let me know. I am starting to look now.
Apache POI doesn't support the XLS to HTML conversion. There are Win APIs out there and I will try and assist.

How to convert an .xls file to .csv file using procedure or function

My requirement is as follows.
1. In my database server(linux), my excel file will be loaded in a particular directory.
2. I need to load this excel file's data into an external table.
3. Can i load the data from an excel file to table directly? Or do i have to change the format into .csv, if so how to conver the .xls file to .csv file via backend.

Converting from .xls to .xlsx without losing jpeg image quality

I am trying to covert .xls to .xlsx. But I have a lot of jpegs in my .xls and I notice the image quality of the original jpegs is severely eroded. How do I preserve that -- click Option, Advanced, Do not Compress? Do I have to do it a file at a time?

Elance for mac stuff? convert XLS - Numbers and make it look good

I often use elance.com for small projects. I have a project to convert some XLS sheets to Numbers. One of the main purposes is to make it look better, so I need a consulant who not only knows how to use numbers but understands design.
is there a group like elance but more mac focused...in order to get bids? or a few groups i should look at for small projects like this?
Also, as an aside, has anyone made a plug in for Excel so it can import numbers and actually work like numbers (ie, i know i can covert numbers to excel, but i really wish numbers was also available on the PC, barring that at least some plug in or somthing close?)

There is no Excel plugin available to decipher Numbers documents.
Given the past behaviour of M…Soft, I would be surprised if they offer one some day.
Apple always made a serious work to allow its customers to import/export M…Soft created files but there was no effort of this kind in the other world.
I would be surprised too if a Window version of Numbers was delivered one day.
Apple development resources aren't large enough to allow them to waste these resources on such a project.
At this time, it seems that they have some difficulties to maintain the two versions (mac and iPad) of iWork applications so, it would be very bad news for users of these products if they move some engineers on such a new task.

Mac OS batch convert .xls to .pdf not option

Mac OS batch convert .xls to .pdf not option....WHY NOT???? This was never issue on Windows, and the software notes it supports pdf convert from .xls format (BUT NOT IN MAC VERSION) Any work arounds? Will this becoming in update? Really not acceptable for such expensive software.

in previous versions of office (2003) you could save your excel file as dbf.
now we have Office 2013. but it seems that this function is not available anymore.
Does anyone know if there is a free add-in or software package where i can convert or save my excel file into dbf?

If you have Access 2013, you would be able to import excel data and than export the data (table or query) to a DBF format. Not ideal, but it will work.

Convert .cwk to .xls

AppleWorks 6 files are no longer supported on Mac OS 10.7. I have lots of old .cwk files I need to convert to .xls files. What is the best solution?

Or install Appleworks on your G5. You can't use 10.7 on a G5 anyway. Put it in Target Mode once you are done with the conversion. To put the G5 in Target mode, boot it with the T key. Then attach it with a Firewire cable to your newer Mac.
