Converting boolean into number

How to convert a boolean button into the number that i wanted?
For example,
i have 3 boolean button,when the first button pressed, number 1 will show up, second button -> number 3, last button -> number 4
i have tried to use boolean array into number, but the number that show up was not like what i have expected
any help??

Boolean into array

Hi,
I am using entire port 11 and partially port 10 (10.7, 10.6) for 10 lines from NI PCI-6509 card. Since all these 10 lines can either be high or low, at the output of my DAQ Assistant, my data is represented in boolean, where I want to have all 10 boolean put together into array (orange) or double (orange as well). I don't know what do I need for the input of "Index Array", which is the place where those 10 lines will be connected.
So my question is what should I use to convert boolean into something that is input of Index Array.

It should look this. With this technique, the array of products have to match the index. For example, if the digital read returns numeric 14, then item 14 in the array should be that product name. For your combo box, the numbers do not have to be in order and they do not have to be sequential. For example, if 14 is the value returned by the Top Cap CCA, then select the combo box>Edit items and make the Value 14. The array constant you have, make item 14 in the array equal to Top Cap CCA.

Converting Exponential to number

I have a value 1.23365465451346E21 in my database column.i want to convert it into number as display as 1233654654513456546546.What would be the sql query for that.please help.

In SQL*Plus:

Converting char into dec

Dear all,
I have data as char for example: 3,52 as char, when i try to transform data directly into key figure as number dec, it gives error message saying: it can not be interpreted as number..
Is there any easy way to convert data into number?

First, I would try to replace comma sign in your char into dot, in abap routine, using REPLACE statement. According to what you wrote - 3.52 it returns 3,52 ok - it could work. After that, you can use formula to change it into number, if needed.

You can loop through and use a bitwise operator instead. Here is an example without the loop.

You should get something like 110 when you're done.
If you're wonder what & does (no, its not a boolean &&), it takes the bits in the two numbers you give it and returns a number with all the bits on that are on for each of them.
For example:
10011011 &
11001101 =
10001001
So if we take
110 (6) &
010 (2^1, or 2) =
010 (2 again)
Which means that the number (6) has the 2^1 bit on.

While downloading an eBook from internet, I found a book in a folder containing around 123 files, which is equivalent to the number of pages of the book.

How to convert exponential data into number for the downloaded excelsheet

I have downloaded one field data i.e. having char of 50, into excel sheet and it is displaying as exponential in the excel sheet.
The data numbers should display as text only i.e 1236547896321 and not exponential

Hello Pallvai,
The problem of exponential is with the excel. Excel converts the large numbet into exponential.
To avoid this you can make the number into text then excel won't convert it into exponential.
For that you can do a simple trick. Just prefix a single quote ( ' ) in the field.
eg:
field = 1236547896321.
then,
constants c_quote type c value '''. "<-- single quote
concatenate c_quote field into field.
" This will make the EXCEL to consider this field as text not number and hence it will not be considered
" as exponential.

WS20000081 and WS04200009 are triggering when i applied a leave.But i need to add some amore task in that.For that i created the Customized workflow.Then we tried to create Rule groups with custom workflow id number in ESS settiongs.It was saying that ws99900009 is unknown.And we tried to replace the WS20000081 by ws99900009.It was alos saying that ws99900009 transaction is unknown.
So pls guide me how to convert ws99900009 into transaction?

what the syntax for converting date into No. Ex from the first date of the month till current date how many days are there, this No of days needs to be divided by the net sale of the month.
i have searched in formulas fields but i am not able to find such option...

but if the month is of 31 days or 28 days (feb) how will the system will able to generate the report accordingly.
i want to make a report in which it should show the net sales by the current month and current date.
so the system should automated by the number of days in a month.

Converting Rows into Column in Oracle 10g

Hi All,
I m using Oracle Version 10.1.0.2.0 - Production
I have requirement to convert rows into column wise as per the following:
My Query is:
WITH t
AS ( SELECT 'A' AS x, 100 AS y FROM DUAL
UNION ALL
SELECT 'B',200 FROM DUAL
SELECT X, Y
FROM t;
X Y
A 100
B 200
My Requirement is
A B
100 200
So any one could help me that how I resolve this.

It's working fine for static cases.If the first column is dynamic then how come i will resolve it.
Example:
Create table mytab (ID_C Varchar2(15),Value_N Number);
Records Population into MyTab table is dynamic.
Insert into mytab values('HO',5000);
Insert Into mytab values('PG1',2400);
Insert Into mytab values('PG2',3000);
Insert Into mytab values('PG3',800);
Commit;
SQL> Select * From MyTab;
IDC_ ValueN_
HO 5000
PG1 2400
PG2 3000
PG3 800
Then My expected result will be as follows
HO PG1 PG2 PG3
5000 2400 3000 800

Convert data into Date Format imported from MS SQL Server.

I have imported Data from MS SQL Server. The "Date Column" received in number format like 41017.6361109954. How can i convert it into Date in Oracle SQL.
If i import same Data in Excel and change the Column Type to Date. It changes successfully. But in Oracle, I tried To_Date function with different parameters but it didn't work.
