Converting spool output to MS Word format

Is there any way to convert the SAP Script output to MS word format (like how we convert it into PDF) ?

Unfortunately SAP only provide ASCII and PDF conversion from OTF. (look CONVERT_OTF)
You may check the function module
CALL FUNCTION 'RSPO_DOWNLOAD_SPOOLJOB'
     EXPORTING

But some formatting will be loss.

I have just upgrade the creative cloud CC version and upgrade the acrobat pro to XI version.
when I convert a pdf file to word format, it show the error "Save As failed to process this document. No file was created."
Actually, I have delete the image, use other pdf file and download a sample pdf file to test it. Same error is shown. I have try all the other format , like the excel, rtf, text, powerpoint, still same thing happen.
Please show me what else I can do to fix this problem.

We have background job , which creates a spool output in Internet Explorer format. Customer needs this in Excel format.
Wondering, if any authorizations to be changed for file type? or this is a set in program level?

Yes....Currently the customer email address is added to "Spool list Recipient" in SM37. This way, spool output is sent to customer through email. Currently it is in HTML format.

Hi Sam,
This need to be fixed at the program level only,so you need an ABAPer to make the changes in out put. There is nothing to do with authorizations.

Convert billing output to an ASCII format

It's working fine except
The formatting is not as we would expect, and we are missing some data.

Convert spool output of ABAP list into excel and send email

Hello All,
I have a requirement where we need to
1. schedule a background job programtically
2. moniter backround job (if complete or not)
3. once its complete take spool output ,convert into excel and email.
I have following difficulties.
1. i have reached upto stage 3. However, i am not getting proper ouput of excel via mail. it contains junk characters. I searched SDN and tried various option but not successful.
2. AT last i have submited report and collected output in memory rather than submiting back ground job. Now excel out put is coming somewhat as required but while sending mail , i am getting limitation of 255 chars . My excel row has more than 255 line size.
Please suggest.

What type of document was it prior to becoming a PDF? Is it a scanned document? Perhaps a secure document?
Please provide more detail so we can troubleshoot together.

Converting report output to a word document

Hi,
Can anyone pls help me by providing the program for converting displaying/inserting the internal table values along with the table frame aound the internal table(in the sense displaying the rows and columns lines) to the word document not in the excel format, instead of displaying in the report.

Converting spool request into multiple pdf formated documents

             I am designing a report with several pages of output and running it in background.
Is there a possibility to convert each page into an separate pdf format document ?
If I use ALV report as output, if its more than page, do I face any issue with pdf conversion.

Converting a PDF file to Word format issue

I am using Adobe Reader XI 11.0.09 with the paid side bar to convert the pdf file to an editable Word 2007 format. The problem is that the formatting after conversion is really bad and getting worse, example of the most recient: "I n a cont ingent circumstance, an effect results from clearly definable causes, t hough t he effect could be different, given an entirel y possible and different interrelation of causes. In short, a contingent event or thi ng is a nonnecessa ry event or thi ng tha t either might not exist or could be other than it is."
The conversion in the past was never this bad and I was hoping it was some setting but I have not found a way to tweak the settings in the converter. I have converted many pdf files and had no problems with the outcome of the conversion until recently.
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Delivering RH9 Output in MS-Word format with auto numbering

I am creating an RH 9 project that must be delivered to the customer in MS Word (2007 or higher) with paragraphs defined in a strict numbering format.
The RH9 project will make extensive use of the RH9 autonumbering feature at both the paragraph and topic levels.
Will this autonumbering translate into the generated MS Word document? Can I count on the numbering to appear in Word as it does in my RH9 project?

Multilevel lists should work fine for your paragraphs in a topic but be aware the numbering works only within a single topic, it starts over again in the next topic. You can force the start of the numbering so you could use that to make topic one have 1.1 and topic two 2.1 etc if that is what you want.
I don't think numbering is designed to work with heading styles so you will have to experiment a bit there.
As to your original question, what I was trying to convey was that you are trying to use that for a purpose it wasn't designed for I cannot give you a categoric confirmation. In any case, if you are going to take on a contract, you really need to test this will work to your satisfaction. I'm not intending to be unhelpful, it's just that's the way it is. Also bear in mind the output in Word may have the numbering applied but if changes are made direct in Word, may not autonumber.
