  • How can WLS use JSP pages in a Web Application witth just a JRE [Web Application, WAR, JSP, weblogic.jsp.pageCheckSeconds and JRE]

              How can WLS use JSP pages in a Web Application (either a .war file or a war directory structure) without a java compiler?
              I suspect either the JSP specification is flawed (i.e. it doesn't take account of servers using just a JRE), or BEA's implementation is broken.
              Production servers do not have a JDK installed. They only have a JRE. Therfore a java compiler is not present on the machine that the Web Application is deployed onto.
              On the development machine, when the server is requested to load the JSP it creates a tmpwar directory within the Web Application directory structure. This is then included in the resultant .war file thus:
              D:\war>jar -tf gmi.war
              META-INF/
              META-INF/MANIFEST.MF
              gmiService.jsp
              WEB-INF/
              WEB-INF/classes/
              WEB-INF/classes/com/
              WEB-INF/classes/com/bt/
              WEB-INF/classes/com/bt/gmi/
              WEB-INF/classes/com/bt/gmi/gmiService.class
              WEB-INF/getList.xsl
              WEB-INF/getListByConnection.xsl
              WEB-INF/getListByDistrict.xsl
              WEB-INF/getListByDistrictConnection.xsl
              WEB-INF/lib/
              WEB-INF/source/
              WEB-INF/source/build.bat
              WEB-INF/source/gmiService.java
              WEB-INF/web.xml
              WEB-INF/weblogic.xml
              tmpwar/
              tmpwar/jsp_servlet/
              tmpwar/jsp_servlet/_gmiservice.class
              tmpwar/jsp_servlet/_gmiservice.java
              When deployed on the production server with the web.xml file set to use the following values (note XML stripped):
              weblogic.jsp.pageCheckSeconds
              -1
              weblogic.jsp.precompile
              false
              weblogic.jsp.compileCommand
              javac
              weblogic.jsp.verbose
              true
              weblogic.jsp.packagePrefix
              jsp_servlet
              weblogic.jsp.keepgenerated
              false
              And in the weblogic.properties file:
              weblogic.httpd.webApp.gmi=war/gmi
              I've also tried with the .war file, but that insists on creating another tmpwar directory outside of the .war file.
              Then, although I have set pageCheckSeconds to -1 (don't check and don't recompile) ter production server still attempts to recompile the JSP's:

    The default Java compiler from sun lives in the tools.jar that comes with
              the JDK. Just add that to your set of JARs which are deployed in production
              and you should be fine. No need to install the full JDK - just make the
              tools.jar available to WebLogic.

    You mean Servlet.
    FrontEnd: Netbeans6.0Netbeans is not a front end to anything. It is an IDE.

    I need Jsp code and table creation code i want to create in the Database.This site is not a place to get codes. This site is a place to get help with codes you have written. This site is also not an Oracle or general database or SQL question support forum.

  • Error with Portal JSP Page Upload

    i've run into a problem with trying to deploy custom JSP pages to Portal. basically, if i enable JSP page types for the Page Group, generate a simple page, download it using the Download JSP link, and then try to upload it again as a JAR or WAR via the JSP Source tab, even without modifying the page at all, i receive the following error:
    Unexpected error - User-Defined Exception (WWC-35000)
    Unexpected error - User-Defined Exception (WWC-35000)
    Path ID does not exist. (WWC-50001)
    i've tried logging in as ORCLADMIN in case it was a permissions thing, but that didn't help.
    anyone else experience this? any ideas?

  • Problem with running jsp pages

    Hello everybody,
    I have created a simple jsp page in JBuilder10.
    I have also installed tomcat 5.5.9
    When i run the jsp page, it appears the following error :
    LifecycleException: Protocol handler start failed: java.net.BindException: Address already in use: JVM_Bind:8080
    What can i do in order to view my jsp page in a web browser?

    you can change the address, because the address 8080 has already been used. open the file <CATALINA_HOME>/conf/server.xml , replace all 8080 by other value, like 1234.

  • Cancel- and main-button dynamically generated using JSP-pages

    Maybe a HOWTO for the Jdev-team.
    HOWTO get rid of the delete and main-button in your jsp-pages?
    Very simple!
    Go to the container_bottom.jsp page in your webapp/jsp-folder and delete the code for the cancel-button => now the user can render his own buttons by using a header.html, contents.jsp and footer.html for the jsp-pages.

    We tried the same thing you are trying to do and got
    very far, but it quickly became very complicated. We
    realized it was just simpler to use the screenflow as
    intended.
    By this I mean, if your parent form has 4 buttons
    (A,B, C and SUBMIT), you should design different
    paths in your screen flow for each button. so when a
    user clicks button A, the parent form submits back to
    Fuego engine, engine looks at screenflow and send
    them down the button A path to the Form A. When they
    hit submit on Form A, screenflow goes back to parent
    form.Hi, bcespinola:
    Our team finally decide use jsp with YUI (Yahoo User Interface Library) to achieve this design. Wish this could help you. All popup window would be replaced by Dialog of YUI. Thanks for your help.

  • Please help me with the jsp page

    Hi,
    I have a parent jsp page. I have a button in that page. If I click the button in the parent page, a child page will be opened which consists of huge data. I have set an option such that if I click the jsp page it asks to open directly or save so as to edit the data in MSWORD format. The child page has a print button at the end of the page which prints all the data. But since the data is very vast I want page breaks at certain places so that when I edit the data and click print button it prints the data with page breaks at certain points. I know that in MSWORD we have page breaks. But I should not do it manually as there would be thousands and thousands of pages to be printed.
    ANY IDEA OR HELP IN THIS MATTER IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO SOLVE THIS MATTER AND POSTED IN MANY SITES. BUT NOBODY RESPONDED. ATLEAST PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THE IDEA WHICH I MENTIONED IS WORNG OR NOT.
    THANKYOU

  • Event handler when using partial page refresh ?

    Hi
    I have a calendar, which uses partial page refresh. The problem is how to make javascript wait until the calendar has loaded and then do some updates on the calendar (after the user has pressed the next button that runs apex.widget.calendar.ajax_calendar('S','next');, for example ). I thought I could add "onreadystatechange" (or onload) event handler to the calendar like this: onreadystatechange="checkState()", where the function would check the state and if ready then do the updates. This doesn't work. Could somebody please tell me why not ?
    Tiina

    Hi,
    It seems that ajax calendar missing event apexafterrefresh.
    I do not know is this "bug" or just feature.
    That event would be useful to your case , if I understand correct what you looking for.
    For workaround , you can over write original function by placing this to calendar region footer
    <script>
    apex.widget.calendar.ajax_calendar=function(p_calendar_type, p_calendar_action, p_calendar_date, p_calendar_end_date){
    var l_cal_type_field = $v('p_cal_type_field_id');
    var l_cal_date_field = $v('p_cal_date_field_id');
    var l_cal_end_date_field = $v('p_cal_end_date_field_id');
    var l_cal_id = $v('p_calendar_id');
    var l_calendar_region = 'calendar' + l_cal_id;
    if ( p_calendar_type != 'C' ){
      $s(l_cal_date_field,$v('p_calendar_date'));
    }else{
      if ( $v(l_cal_date_field) == '' ) {
       $s(l_cal_date_field,$v('p_calendar_date'));
      if ( $v(l_cal_end_date_field) == '' ) {
       $s(l_cal_end_date_field,$v('p_calendar_end_date'));
    // create and apex.ajax.widget object
    var a = new apex.ajax.widget('calendar',function(){
      /* start the return function */
      if(p.readyState == 1){
       document.body.style.cursor = "wait";
      }else if(p.readyState == 2){
      }else if(p.readyState == 3){
      }else if(p.readyState == 4){
       $x(l_calendar_region).innerHTML = p.responseText ;
       $s(l_cal_date_field,$v('p_calendar_date'));
       if (p_calendar_type == 'C') $s(l_cal_end_date_field,$v('p_calendar_end_date'));
       document.body.style.cursor = "";
      /* DO HERE THINGS AFTER CALENDAR REFRESH */
      }else{return false;}
    // code for next,previous and today
    if (p_calendar_type == 'S'){
      p_calendar_type = $v('p_calendar_type');
    }else{
      $s(l_cal_type_field,p_calendar_type);
    a.ajax.addParam('p_widget_mod',p_calendar_type);
    a.ajax.addParam('p_widget_action',p_calendar_action);
    a.ajax.addParam('x01',l_cal_id);
    var lDate = (!!p_calendar_date && p_calendar_date !== '')?p_calendar_date:$v(l_cal_date_field);
    if (p_calendar_type == 'C') {
      var lendDate = (!!p_calendar_end_date && p_calendar_end_date !== '')?p_calendar_end_date:$v(l_cal_end_date_field);
    a.ajax.add(l_cal_date_field,lDate);
    if (p_calendar_type == 'C') a.ajax.add(l_cal_end_date_field,lendDate);
    a.ajax.addParam('x02',lDate);
    if (p_calendar_type == 'C') a.ajax.addParam('x05',lendDate);
    a.ajax.add(l_cal_type_field,p_calendar_type);
    a._get();
    </script>Where I have comment *"do here things after calendar refresh"*, you can hook own scripts.
    Of course this is not best way, but might help you till ajax calendar support dynamic actions fully

  • Error message when using JSP pages

    Version 6.0
    The error I'm getting is as follows:
    trying to POST headerFragment.html, internal-redirect reports: no way to service request for headerFragment.html
    All I'm trying to do is a jsp:forward on JSP page 1 to JSP page 2 which, at the top of it, has a jsp:include (the headerFragment.html page mentioned in the error).
    Any thoughts on how to remedy this problem would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mark

    By default, the server will not serve static files in response to POST requests, even when using jsp:include.
    This bug was addressed in 6.0 SP2, but instances created in an earlier release will continue to exhibit the problem even after upgrading. To fix the problem, locate the following line in the obj.conf configuration file:
    Service method=(GET|HEAD) type=*~magnus-internal/* fn=send-fileChange the above line so it reads as follows:
    Service method=(GET|HEAD|POST) type=*~magnus-internal/* fn=send-file

  • Trouble with using several page tag in pagedef and including jsff-page

    Please, help!
    I have the .jsff-page with table (refNMU.jsff with own pagedef), which used as ref-book on main page. On main page it simple include in dalog content:
                  <af:popup id="dlgNMU">
                    <af:dialog>
                      <jsp:include page="/Refs/refNMU.jsff"/>
                    </af:dialog>
                  </af:popup>In main pages pagedef I include the pagedef of jsff-page:
        <page id="PD_refNMU" path="Refs.refNMUPageDef" Refresh="ifNeeded"/>and in jsff-page replace binds from
    bindings.refNMUView.collectionModelto
    bindings.PD_refNMU.refNMUView.collectionModelIt`s work fine.
    But if I add two ref-book (in main pages pagedef insert two <page> tag before existing ("PD_refNMU") then table on refNMU.jsff page "no row yet" show (but "estimatedRowCount" method work fine).
    If I move <page> tag on first position then its work fine again, but the other two jsff-page not working ("no row yet" in table or "QueryModel object not defined" in console)!

    Hi,
    binding file references are supported for template bindings only and here you are allowed to have a single template only. So what you try is not supported. Please use a region for adding the page fragment (bounded taskflow) or copy the bindings into the main file

  • HANDLING CHECKBOXES USING JSP AND EJB

    HI SDN MEMBERS,I AM LEARNING HOW TO CODE IN J2EE.I DISPLAY A FORM WITH CHECKBOXES AND SOME ITEMS BY THE SIDES.NOW THESE ITEMS CAME FROM THE DATABASE BUT ON DISPLAY THE USER SHLD CHECK HIS CHOICE CHECKBOXES THEN SUBMIT.PLS HOW DO I GO ABOUT THIS?

    You need to put the checkboxes and submit button in a <form> tag.
    However, I suggest you read a book on JSP (or read a free comprehensive on-line tutorial) since there is a lot to learn that having a few questions answered in these forums can't begin to cover.
    Also, why are you using EJB? That's an advanced topic and I suggest you use something simpler such as JSP and servlets.
