Copy function problem

Hi all,
We have created a multiplanning area consisting of Actual planning area and Plan Planning area for Cost Centre.We are using standard cubes 0CCA_C11 and 0SEM_C18.
We have extracted the last Fiscal year's data ie,2005 in actual cube.Now we want to copy the actuals data into plan cube.Our layout is as follows:
Costcentre CostElement Currency PlanData ActualData
101001 T80010 ISK 0.00 293673.00
Now I want to copy the actuals data into Plandata.The ActualData is restricted on FiscalYear=2005,ValueType=10,Version=0 and PlanData is restricted on FiscalYear=2006,ValueType=20,Version=0.
In my Copy function I have taken PlanningArea,ValueType and Version as <b>Fields to be changed</b>.After I execute the copy function with trace I get the following result:
3540 data records were read, 0 of them were changed, 3540 generated.
Then why I am not able to see it in my layout ?

From the trace I can see that for Value type=20 and version 0 the value in planning area CCAPLN01 is 293.673
Then where else I could be wrong ?

Problem while copying function modules..

Hi,
I am trying to copy a function module called MRM_ENTRY_ERS to Z function module.
Now the problem is there are 6 performs inside the function module and again in those 6 performs there
are around 10s of performs.
So its really hectic to create includes for form-endform for all of those performs.
Is there a way that when I copy all those form-endform without creating includes for every perform ?
I mean is there some easier way to do it ?

I think copy the total Function group MRMN of this FM (MRM_ENTRY_ERS) into new function group like ZMRMN.
Please go to SE80, select function group, enter MRMN, press enter. Select the Function group MRMN, press the right butoon, click copy option, now you enter the new function group like ZMRMN,click copy, then after you select the copy function module(only if you need to Z fm), given the Z FM name and then press copy button, then it copies the function module successfully

ASSIGN_TYPE_CONFLICT in copy-function

Hi,
I'm having a problem in BSP0.
When I execute a copy-planning function (the option "execute with trace").
BW is giving me the message:
"0 data records were read, 0 of them were changed, 52 generated".
The moment I click on the "save"-button, BW throws me the error message "ASSIGN_TYPE_CONFLICT" in a GP-program.
The copy-function is based on a "multi planning area".
The function just copies version "#" to a variable version, and 1 planning area to another one.
Does anyone knows what causes this problem?

I checked the infoobject Version, and it exist in the destination cube.
The infoobject Version doesn't exist in the source cube, that is why we copy from "#" to variable input.
How can I check your first proposal?
What I found strange is that the GP-program (that gives the error) wasn't regenerated.
How can I do that?
The report is GP4N5NAZ6...

Why the copier function of Photosmart 5520 just can copy A4 size paper?

I just bought a Photosmart 5520. It works great and have no problem doing photo printing, scanning and wireless printing. However, when I use the copier function. I found that I always missed part of the copied sheet. After checking the setting I found that it has a paper size setting of 8.5x11 inches (Letter) while the sheet size I'm using is a A4 size paper. Going into the setting and checking whether I can change the paper setting to A4, I found that there are just 3 size to choose - 8.5x11 inches (letter), 4x6 inches, and 5x 7 inches. How can this be? Why isn't there A4 size (which is also a very common size) to choose from while I have no problem selecting A4 with print funciton or scaning A4?

A4 size paper only. There is no prompt for adjusting the paper size. BTW, there is no problem printing A4 size document.

M276nw Copy Function Corrupt Output / lines

Issue is when I go to copy, the printer is in a power saving sleep state, I wake it up by pressing a touch screen, and I copy and the copy is corrupt. Now I can fix this by doing a complete power cycle but that really is stupid to have to do every time I need to use it. This is a repeating problem and happens on copy functions and I did copy and save to flash as PDF right now to show issue "see picture". So if this could get reported to the support area that does firmware fixes that be great. Again I can temporarily get it to work properly by doing a complete power cycle but as soon as it goes to sleep and is idle for an extended period and is used again the problem is still occurs.
Can this get fixed in firmware please.

Is the printer directly connected to the power source or may connected through any power strip, extention or a surge protector?
If it is not directly connected, plug the product directly into the wall socket and check for any difference.
Please let me know the results,

Officejet Pro 8500 Premier: How do I force the Copy function to use paper from Tray 2?

I set the default tray to Tray 2 and locked Tray 1 to protect my envelopes and this works fine when printing from the computer. But when I copy a document using the START COPY button, the printer pulls from Tray 1 and complains about the media being the wrong size.
When I use the printers control panel to set the Copy function to use Tray 2, it resets itself to Tray 1 the next time I copy something.
Surely I am not the only one in the Universe who would want to configure my printer to do this.
Has anyone else out there tried this?
Also, is there a specific forum for the Officejet Pro 8500 series printers?

I had the same problem but found that if you go to the copy menu through the touchscreen, change the tray to tray 2 and then scroll to the very bottom there is an option to "Set as new default". This also changes the default for the Start Copy buttons - at least it did for me anyway.

Copy function not working in nw2004s-ip

I am using NW2004s BI-Integrated Planning. I am using the Planning Modeler tool.
I am trying to create a copy function to copy actual data from 2006 to become plan data for 2007.
There are no variables involved. I have specified the infoprovider, fiscal year/period and value type for reporting.
The copy function reads as:
FROM :
Fiscal year / period: 001.2006; InfoProvider: CO-OM-CCA: Costs and Allocations; Value Type for Reporting: Actual
TO:
Fiscal year / period: 001.2007; InfoProvider: Plan Data; Value Type for Reporting: Plan
The fiscal year/period value chosen in both cases is a V3 variant.
I get the same error message every time
" Inconsistent time characteristics: 0FISCPER,V3/001.2007 and 0FISCYEAR,V3/2006"
Ultimately I want to copy to all periods of 2006 to 2007, but to get something working would be nice!
What am I doing wrong?
Any suggestions gratefully received (and points given).

We are experiencing the same problem. We've just implemented BW-IP and we are trying to configure through the Modeler a simple copy function from 0cca_c11 to a transactional InfoCube with plan data. Also changing characteristics as: 0fiscyear, 0vtype, 0version and nothing else, both InfoCubes are selected in the filter area, and I think the Multiprovider that we've created in BW is ok. Everything seems to be so straight forward but .. .nothing is working (we had this working in the previous BW-BPS).
Can someone give us a hint of what we may be doing wrong, or a kind of checklist of the things that we have to validate so as to be sure to get this working.?
(tips about the multiprovider in bw? , tips about the filter options?, tips aobut the copy function parameters?)

Copy Function Doesn't Work After Updating user.js File

I tried the Copy Function at the web site www.gogvo.com and got an error message from Firefox that Copy wasn't enabled. I got more info and created a user.js file in my Profile with the above site inserted following directions on the Troubleshooting Help page. I restarted Firefox but still can't use the Copy Function when I right-click a highlighted field to Copy. I have no problem when I use Internet Explorer 9 with my Windows 7 Home Premium. I have the latest version of Firefox. I have no problem copying on other sites, such as MSN Hotmail.

I tried {Ctrl+C} and that doesn't work. I deleted the user.js file and downloaded the allowclipboard-helper file extension, and that doesn't work. I only have this Copy/Paste problem HERE: [http://www.gogvo.com/affiliates/optin_message.php GVO Responder Opt-in Message Edit] and don't have any Copy/Paste problems anywhere else. Is there another solution to try?

COPY function on a Multiprovider - - Not saving data

Im facing a wierd problem.
Im tryin to run the COPY function on a Multiprovider.
I've selected 2 fields as 'To be Changed' : 0INFOPROV and 0VTYPE. and 1 KF (ZACCINS) to be copied.
I tried to run the PF through a Planning Sequence in 'Execute with Trace Mode'. The result of which is shown below for 1 block.

So far so good.
Now I clicked on Save Plan data. Now when I try to view the Contents of the Target Cube (ZHR_R20), it does not display any data.
Just to cross check, I have created a query on the Multiprovider and tried to call the same PF through the Analyzer. On click of the button, the system displays the "NEW" rows that were generated. Now, on clicking 'SAVE AREA', the newly generated rows disappear!!
Again to cross check, I have deleted old requests in RSA1 for ZHR_R20 and tried to execute the function again wherein a new request was generated. On changing the Request to Green(Status OK),the Added Records and TRANSFERED RECORDS are shown as 5.( the number of records in Source cube which im trying to copy = 5 in ZHR_R10).
Have also checked the Fact table of ZHR_R20 but could not find any entries in the table... Not sure where the problem could be !!

InfoProvider: Staff Costs Plan; Value Type for Reporting: Plan - To Change .
Can you pls explain why do you think the function was not executed properly.. Iam absolutely clueless with this behaviour ... I have been tryin many number of times but in vain. The behaviour is the same. Each time I execute the PF, the Transferred records and Added records count keep on increasing .. but with no contents in the cube... .

No reference data for copy function between two infoproviders

Hello,
I am trying to copy data from an actuals cube into a plan cube. Both cubes are assigned to the same multi provider.
The planning function is defined as follows:
Characteristics to be changed: InfoProvider (from: Actual; to: Plan)
Condistions: none
To keep it simple I am using a filter with no entries.
When I am executing the copy function with a trace I find that the function reads the entries from the Plan Cube (which I expected) but it does not generate the entries that are available in the Actuals Cube in the plan cube (which I hoped it would do). It seems that the function cannot find any reference values in the Actuals cube.
The structure of the two cubes is different. Could this be the reason that the copy function does not work?
I will appreciate any hints.

Hi,
The structure of the cubes being different is not a problem. Anyway, the records get aggregated depending on the characteristics you have included in the aggregation level on which the copy function is created. Because you say not even one record is getting copied from the actuals cube I feel there is some basic problem. Check the below things (some might sound very basic but I am just noting them)
1) Actual cube has data in an active request with green status
2) You have identified the characteristics and key figures properly in the multiprov (on which the aggregation level is built) from both the cubes.
3) In the copy function, you have selected the desired KFs to be copied.

BPC 5x - bad performance of standard copy function

Hi,
when applying the standard copy function in BPC 5x, it takes 1 min 30 seconds to just copy 2500 records ... we are still in the development phase of the project, but fear performance when copying real live production data ...
in the formula log, we can see 95% of the time goes to running the SQL query:
Total Time to build queries = 0,1 sec
Total Time to run queries = 77,5 sec
time to post records = 1,5 sec
Is this normal behaviour?

I investigated further, and apperantly it is caused by the following simple script in the default logic:

#PL220=(PL010_QTYPL220_UR)-1
Why is this piece of coding causing so much performance problems ... If we put this in comment, the copy only takes a couple of seconds ...

These calculation statements get their data from the database. So it will create a query or some queries for that.

#PL220=(PL010_QTYPL220_UR)-1
Since you put them in Default Script, for every single data update/send, BPC is going to execute the the content of the Default Script.
If you don't have the need, you can move the statements out from the Default Script, put them in other script logic and run it on demand.
Otherwise, you need a powerful and optimum database server to serve the queries faster.

Is anyone on this forum aware of any problems with adobe flash player and JavaScript?
The reason I am asking is that for some reason the actions/copy to clipboard function in our CiscoWorks SecMon console has stopped working. I did some searching and came across some article the say the flash player 10 interferes with the copy function in a lot of JavaScript and I was wondering if this could be the cause of the problem.

Copy function labels qpr1

Hello experts
I create samples in QPR1, view it in QPR3 with no problem, create inspection lot via QPR5. No problem.
Please explain the steps to print say 25 labels using the copy function.. extended, and answer if I I must creat 25 lots to assign those 25 labels to.
Lab must take sample 25 times per day, would like to create sample labels in advance.

Copy-function: Where to select data-target?

Hi experts,
First, I worked on a cube for consolidation and created several input ready queries.
Second, I have buid-up a second cube for disribution planning. (Because there are lots of additional dimensions being used; such as country, region, products[...]).
Now, I want to copy planned turnover in distribution cube to consolidation cube. In other threads I've read, that it would be possible to copy data from cube to cube.
The problem is that I don't find any properties defining the data-target.
So. what needs to be done to reach my goals? Do I have to buid-up a multiprovider as well?

Hi Martin,
copy function can only copy from a char value to another value. It can not copy between key figures.
For this you need a fox formula.
Copy functions in BI IP will always overwrite the values that were in the target before it is run.
Fox functions usually will also overwrite the values that were there before the function is run. If you want to do it different, your fox code would have to include some checks and so on.
if you do not change other characteristics, you take only the 0Info_prov into the fields to be changed and make a formula like:
{keyfigtarget, infoprovtarget} = {keyfigsource, infoprovsource}.
when including the function button into a web template you can choose:
planning function simple - you will need a data provider type filter or query to fill info the selection binding
planning function - you can choose you "filter" by naming each individual char that has to be restricted while running the function
planning sequence - aggrlevel, filter and function are fixed in the sequence
I usually prefer sequences (I trust them more than the selections for individual functions)

Copy function without writing empty records in BI Integrated Planning

I've got the following data model:
- one source cube which acts as a buffer, holding only a small amount of new data records
- one target cube, which holds the whole amount of data
- both are on the same aggregation level
I want to do the following:
- copy the new data in the source cube to the target cube
- by doing this, I want only those records changed which are actually in the source cube. All other other data records of the target cube should stay unchanged
The problem is:
I tried this using the standard copy function, but if there are only a few data records in the source cube, the copy function sets all other records in the target cube to zero.
Question:
How can I change only the data records in the target cube which are copied from the source cube? I don't want the copy function to write empty records in the target cube for not copied records.

This is the normal functionality of the standard copy function. It will copy source to target if the characteristics matches and would post zeros to the other records in target.
I got a similar requirement and I had gone with FOX for copying the data.
Write the FOX to copy the key figures from source to target for all the characteristics in the target.
