Corruption Help!

I was watching a movie with my ipod while i was downloading a song and as soon as i finished downloading it i opened itunes to load it onto the ipod and it froze. I tried to restart it but it now says it's corrupt and when i try to restore it it does nothing. Please Help!

Try unplugging your iPod, restarting your computer and try a different plugging in your iPod into a USB port.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:

Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

Time Capsule sparsebundle corruption help please

I went away for a week and when I came back I found that the Time Capsule was not backing up. Apparently, my family tells me there was a power outage during my absence and, therefore, this might be the cause of the problems.
I have a Time Capsule acting as our Time Machine drive which is accessed wirelessly from a MacBook.
Double clicking on the sparsebundle got me a message that 'Resource not available' and some searching of this forum makes me think the bundle is corrupted. I followed some advice to use the Terminal to force a mount of the bundle into Disk Utility and this is what appeared in the Terminal window:

I am no Unix guru and I have no intention of using the Terminal except with explicit guidance as I really have no idea what I'm doing with it. As a result, I have no idea what the output means, but it doesn't look good. However I am generally technologically savvy.
As you may imagine, I would like to try to save the back ups contained in the bundle if at all possible before I hook up the laptop via ethernet to the TC and start everything again.
Right now, I have stopped further TM backups. I have already tried switching off TM, rebooting and then reselecting the TC but to no avail.
Any/all help will be so gratefully received.

Please don't post messages this way. They are difficult to read. For problems with Time Machine I would suggest
you start here: User Tips for Time Machine.
Note that if you cannot mount the sparsebundle in order to repair it using Disk Utility, then the sparsebundle is beyond
help. Erase the backup drive and start over. For a Time Capsule open Airport Utility, click on the Manual Update button.
Select Airport Utility Help from the Help menu and search for "erase." This will get you the help file on how to erase a
TC drive.

IPod drivers(?) corrupted: HELP!

It's been almost a month since I have this serious problem: my 5.5G iPod is recognized by iTunes and Windows, but it's like it disconnects randomly making it impossible to sync/restore. I also tried to restore it on another PC and it worked, but I still have the same problem.
It seems like I have a corrupted driver, as in other PCs this problem won't happen.
I REALLY tried every article about this in the Tech Support (10 DLLs, restoring, reinstalling drivers...). And even when I reinstall the drivers, I have the same problem. Please, I can't live without my music! Help me!

Urgent!! Oracle Portal Schema Corrupt - Help!!

We have a new installation of Oracle Portal Release 2 (version 9.0.2).
The portal schema somehow got corrupt. We tried two different recompile scripts, and still, after running it several times, we end up with 86 invalid objects, all of them either a package or type body.
Does anyone know of a script that will allow us to recompile this from source code?

try running this as portal schema ,it creates a file called c1.sql ,just run c1.sql to compile all invalid objects:

H520s Windows 8 DVD-ROM disabled and error 19 - registry corrupt Help please!

Hi all and hoping for help with H520s, 64bit OS Windows 8. Error message showing problem with DVD-RAM Mat**bleep**a SW820; this is disabled in the device manager, and I can't use the DVD drive as a result. (yellow triangle)
Have tried windows fix utility on pc ; drivers are up to date. Have disabled, enabled etc. But it's still error 19
This was working perfectly until a couple of days ago when Microsoft ran a mega load of updates, including critical windows 8 updates. Am wondering if there's some conflict?
Have searched the Lenovo solution centre for up to date drivers for the dvd-RW but there aren't any. Don't really want to uninstall the DVD-ROM drive and attempt reinstall unless can definitely reinstall and can't find anything that reassures me I wil be able to do so.
Wondering if Is this similar to another issue on Toshiba pcs where it seems, according to various searches, it was a corrupted registry entry due to conflicts with pre installed pc rescue type utilities?
I'm no IT expert and the idea of registry fiddling is not reassuring.

Ipod classic corrupted help

So i've had my iPod classic for a couple of years now with very few problems, but I plugged it in to my Imac today when a pop-up tells me that my ipod has been corrupted. i tried disconnecting it a few times but found that after pressing the eject button the ipod will still say connected until i actually take the cable out. I also tried to restore the ipod but that didn't help at all and now i have no music.
I have looked a bit online and found how to get to the stats but i have no understanding of them whatsoever so i'll post them here:

Start/Stops: 9193
Temp: Current 31c
Temp: Min 4c
Temp: Max 54c

The max temp. is a little high. Not supposed to go above 50. Other than that there are no apparent problems. Try working through the suggestions for restoring in Corrupt iPod classic.

Graphical Corruption Help

Hi,
Recently a graphical corruption appeared on my mac. There are little green lines all over the screen. Rebooting does not make it go away however rebooting in Safe Mode does make the problem go away. So it leads me to believe that it is a software issue (probably something that I installed which I cannot seem to remember... :()
Anyways, I was wondering if I could get any advice on how to start troubleshooting this issue? i.e. a list of things that would help me nail down what is causing the problem.

Sorry for the delay. Last month at work had not given me a chance to look into this issue myself.
I looked at the Safe Mode resolution. It is using the highest resolution available.
I also looked in Login Items and there is only iTunesHelper. also I want to note that the graphical corruption occurs on the login screen as well (i.e. before any user logs in)
I looked in /private/var/run/StartupItems and there is nothing in that directory
I looked in /Library/StartupItems and moved everything out of that directory and the problem still occurs
I looked in /System/Library/StartupItems and have the following, but I am afraid to move any of it without knowing the consequences of moving them. It lists the followig:
Apache
AuthServer
FibreChannel
Metadata
NetworkTime
SNMP
AppServices
CrashReporter
IFCStart
NFS
PrintingServices
AppleShare
Disks
IPServices
NIS
RemoteDesktopAgent
Any further assistance would be greatly appreciated.

OCR mount point got corrupted --- help me

I installed ORACLE RAC in Linux. After some time I noticed the disk which have OCR files and votedisk got corrupted. I recovered votedisks from backup taken using dd command. But I can't able to recover OCR files using ocrconfig. Can any body help me.
When I gave the command
ocrconfig -import or ocrconfig -restore
it is saying that error no. PROT-00020.

Disk corrupt - help!

Hi all,
One month ago I did calibrated my Mac Pro battery, so as you know I have to drain battery first. And what my stupid is I left my mac run a long movie with auto sleep mode was off. So I guess It run movie until the battery dead.
Next day when I charged and turn the Mac on, it go very very slow. I did Repaired disk, erase disk and install a clean Mac OS, restore files and applications... and it seem work fine, the error also disappear.
But today before I try to install Lion, I run verify disk and found old-disk-failure-error again. It say some thing like below:
Checking extended attributes file.
Checking volume bitmap.
Checking volume information.
Invalid volume file count
(It should be 683003 instead of 683007)
Invalid volume directory count
(It should be 215683 instead of 215679)
The volume Macintosh HD was found corrupt and needs to be repaired.
Error: This disk needs to be repaired. Start up your computer with another disk (such as your Mac OS X installation disc), and then use Disk Utility to repair this disk.
So please help me to identify problem - do I need to replace the harddisk? I am plan to get the install disk to Repaired disk but would like to hear your oppinion. Thanks!

It "maps" the HD for bad blocks/sectors, then it won't use those areas. So it doesn't really fix them, but works around them. If the media on the platters is starting to decay and fail, this issue will just continue to get worse and worse, but it shouldn't be happening at 7 months. My nano says it's corrupted - HELP!!

Before I have to go and buy a new one, My nano floze so I reset it. It then said it needed to be fixed by iTunes so I connected it to my laptop and went through the 5 R's as recommended on the help site but iTunes says that it detects a corrupted iPod every time I connect it. Is it truly knackered or is there a way to fix this?

Be sure to disconnect all USB devices except your iPod, keyboard and mouse before attempting to change the drive letter, and use something much higher like M or P or Z.

N96 Mass Memory corrupted -- Help!!

Hello, the other day without any other trouble I discovered that my mass memory is corrupted.. I tried to make a picture and phone told me this.. I even tried to format memory, but unsuccessful as system says that is used by another application!.. Could anyone help?

have you tried to restart the device and then try again to format the card?
you can also put the card to a card reader on your pc, format it, and then put it back to the phone and format it again.
a pc will format the card no matter what. you just have to reformat it after you put it on the phone.

Hey all,
I've been trying to install transcode on arch 0.6.
If i do
pacman -Sy transcode
I get an error
error: archive transcode-0.6.12-1.pkg.tar.gz is corrupted
I think it may be because my connection was interrupted during the download of transcode (even though pacman picked up where it left off later on).
I've tried removing transcode, but I can't because it's not installed. How can I remove all traces of it, and re-download the package?
