Could I be the only Pages user in the world this is happening to?

Is it true that Pages does not recognise page breaks from imported Word documents? Has anyone actually done this? Would anyone try it for me? Just create a Word document with some page breaks in in and import it into Pages. Hello? Hello?

I'm talking about forced page breaks, as in at the end of a chapter. I think I may have solved this though: The word document I was loading was exported into a .doc from another program. And algthough opening it in Word showed the page breaks correctly, opening in Pages did not. The answer was to save it in Word as a new document. Opening this new document in Pages then showed the page breaks correctly.

Why doesn't the only Admin user have Admin permissions? (with pictures)

So a while ago I ran into the problem that I couldn't run certain programs because I don't have certain Permissions. But I am the only Admin user and I still can't go throught some of the program files without manually having to give myself permission.
I see the ONLY user is Admin
But when I go through the security tabs, I see
2 users with the same name but slightly different description
Is there any way I can fix this?

I started having this problem on Nov.11th and it happened after I reset the IE on my computer because I was unable to use IE to get on the internet. I don't know if resetting IE is the reason for this problem, but after reading your comment it probably didn't. Below is a copy of my comment on this forum. Right now my comments and a reply by Travis can be found on page 5 of thuis forum. Are you using Vista Basic or Home Premium? I have a feeling some kind of update changed this.

A few days ago I couldn't get on the Internet as IE wouldn't work and connection for the internet was ok so out of desperation I did an IE reset. It still didn't work so a family member came over and got it working, but now I get the User Account Control permission popup each time I sign on the desktop by clicking on the IE shortcut. I went to the security folder and turned off the User Account Control and now I'm not getting that popup each time I click on the desktop IE. This popup never used to come on when clicking on the IE shortcut, so something must have happened when I did the reset of IE. Does anyone know how to keep on the User Account Control for all but the IE?
I have a feeling I by accident changed a setting on IE and probably wouldn't have had to do an IE reset.but now the problem is I would like to keep the User Account Control permission popup for all but the IE shortcut on my desktop.
By the way my family member right clicked the desktop shortcut for IE and did something with Run as Administrator to get IE working again.

Thank you for the response. I tried to fix the problem with some of the suggestions on that page, but none seem to work. I believe that is the only website that I'm having that problem on. I got to fooling with it a bit more and when I highlight the whole page and select to print the selected area, it actually prints the whole page then, but it won't do it as a default. I guess I can just do it like that from now on, but I thought there would be something in the settings that I could have changed. Thanks again for the help.

Only one user at the time can execute VE01 (due to blockage of VEIAV)

As I understand it only one user at the time can execute VE01 (or MEIS for arrivals). If someone is already executing the VE01 transaction the error-message "Table VEIAV is blocked by user XX" appears. It does not matter if one tries to execute it for different legal entities - no parallel processing seems to be possible.
This is a huge limitation for a global concern with many entities operating in the same SAP instance. Does anyone recognize this problem and are there any ways to get around it? It does not make sense that dispatches (VE01) and arrivals (MEIS) cannot be executed for several organizational units at the same time in parallel?

yes I know this problem.
One should not maintain much thru this transaction.
for me it is not more than an emergency transaction, as it is not really more than table maintenance thru SM30
You should investigate what entries/changes the users have to make.
Limit these manual entries by having better data in the system, so that SAP can itself create the entries for this table.
Organize more, less users , maybe just one per company who shall maintain VEFU manually.
Train them to prepare their entries before they start using VEFU.
Explain that they should leave VEFU as soon as possible as the block other users.
assign maintenance windows to the users.

The idea to jumpstart by change was not the smartest one, but gives you an opportunity to use that "temporary" account as permanent. You do not have a choice cause obviously despite you thinking that old account is no more -it does exist on Apple servers. And if you are unwilling to share your [email protected] with friend, just create one extra [email protected] for your friend. One suggestion - do not use gmail.

When I print a web page it only prints the first page and not the rest of the web page below the page break.

How to make adding attachments in the oaf page mandatory to the user.

Dear Friends
I did a attachment section with item style as attachment table,entity map,primary key concept in my details page
But I want to make this section (adding attachments in the oaf page) mandatory to the user.
Without adding the attchment user should not click SUBMIT.
[ Just like we give REQUIRED property to ant text input fileds to make entering them mandatory , Is there any property to set ]

When I open TB the start page is not the usual. I lists Local Folders only. Nosend, tool or menu bars.

I do not have a normal opening page when I open TB. The only thing listed on the screen is a list of the Local Folders on the left of the screen with only 3 columns listed. Subject, From and Date. There is no address list, tool or menu bars, write, send, view etc. The change in the screen happened several weeks ago. I depressed some key and the screen changed from the normal to the one that shows only the local folder screen. I have not been able to answer any of my email or write any new ones. I have concluded that if there is no other option, other than uninstalling and reinstalling TB again please let me know. I have been without email for about 3 weeks now and that has to be fixed. I'd appreciate any help that you can give. I am not computer literate and technical language or program writers explanation are usually not easy for me to decipher so if there is no easy solution to my problem let me know and I will uninstall and reinstall the latest version. Thank you

I want to thank Grospen for the solution to my problem. I started TB in the safe mode as he suggested and followed his instructions and behold I got the original start page back. I still have to add a few things but because I now know that I can get back to to the factory default settings I won't hesitate to try some of the options that are available. Thanks to all for a job well done.

Facebook still is the only page that has a problem loading-

Only one user has the site coming up as insecure how do we fix this?

Our company webpage is coming up with the shield and displays with no graphics. We can allow it to display manually by clicking on the shield, but then when Firefox is restarted it is back to not displaying again. . We have checked all of the settings and cannot find anything to "white list" the site. I would think that if it was going to do this for one person it would do it for everyone? The computer is a Dell laptop running Windows 7 Enterprise with Firefox 33.0.3. He does not have this issue with IE 10.

Is it possible to reduce the web page to fit the window? Therefore loosing the need for the side bar sliders

Although I have two screens I still need to keep my windows quite small and I was wondering if it was possible to automatically reduce the size of the web page to match the size of the available space in the window instead of having side bars sliders so if I needed to read text then I could just increase the window size and the web page would expand accordingly.
