Could not find i386-glibc21-linux.env.sh
I need to install Oracle 816 for RedHat 7.1.
But when I check file under /usr. There is no i386-glibc21-linux
directory. Anyone know why??
Also, how do I install package?? (rpm??) I need to install
compat-egcs, compat-glibc and compat-libs (6.2 compatibility
package)..thanks..
u haven't installed the rpms so
u cant see the i386---.sh file
to install a rpm.
use
rpm -ivh <rpm-file>
or if u have access to X then
either use kpackage or gnomrpm
they are graphical front ends to rpm

In other words, may be you are reading from a coaster.

Wrong forum. Your question has nothing to do with Oracle Database Installation. You might try the [url https://forums.oracle.com/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=822] Oracle Linux forum..
When you post there it will be helpful if you will provide some detail on what you actually did and and the result. So far all you've really said is "Here is a picture of a Ford. Why can't I get my Chevy to run?" -
Could not find symbol 'SQLAllocConnect' for generic connectivity
Hi,
I am using Oracle 10gR2 64-bit on Linux 64-bit. I am trying to connect to an MSSQL box on Windows. I know that hsodbc is officially not supported on 64-bit OS.
My connection using freetds works as well from unixODBC (verified by tsql, isql). The problem is in the next layer up - hsodbc. I copied it from a 32-bit Linux box as it was 0 bytes on 64-bit box.
Here is what I have in initSQLGUY.ora -
HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO = sqltest
HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL = 4
HS_FDS_TRACE_FILE_NAME = freetds.trc
HS_FDS_SHAREABLE_NAME = /usr/local/lib/libodbc.so
# ODBC specific environment variables
set ODBCINI=/usr/local/etc/odbc.ini
set LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib:/opt/oracle/product/10.2/lib32
where sqltest is the name of my dsn. My listener.ora has -
(SID_DESC =
(SID_NAME = SQLGUY)
(ORACLE_HOME = /opt/oracle/product/10.2)
(PROGRAM = hsodbc)
(ENVS=LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib:/opt/oracle/product/10.2/lib32)
My tnsnames.ora has -
sqlguyid=
(DESCRIPTION=
(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=myhost.mydomain.com)(PORT=1521))
(CONNECT_DATA= (SID=SQLGUY))
(HS=OK)
with this configuration, tnsping works -
Attempting to contact (DESCRIPTION= (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=myhost.mydomain.com)(PORT=1521)) (CONNECT_DATA= (SID=SQLGUY)) (HS=OK))
OK (0 msec)
However my db link fails with -
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message:
[Generic Connectivity Using ODBC]DRV_InitTdp: DB_ODBC_INTERFACE (718): ; [C077]
Could not find symbol 'SQLAllocConnect' in dynamic library
DB_ODBC_INTERFACE (722): ; [C079] Failed to load dynamic library
'/usr/local/lib/libodbc.so'
ORA-02063: preceding 3 lines from SQLGUYLNK
I am sure that others have gotten this to work in the past. I must be missing something trivial. Can anyone please point out what I need to do to get this working?
ThanksYou didn't explicite mention it, but I assume you are using a 32bit ODBC driver?
The SQLAllocConnect function is built into the ODBC driver manager which is refered in your case as: /usr/local/lib/libodbc.so
- check out this library exists and has sufficient permissins to be loaded by the Oracle user
- check out this library is 32 bit
- check out this library contains the SQLAllocConnect symbol -

Could not find agent library on the library path or in the local directory
Hi all,
I'm trying to write a jvmti agent that write any information in a mysql db. I've written a simple agent that work correctly and now I'll try to insert the mysqlpp library in my agent:
1) I've added #include <mysql++.h>
2) and I've added mysqlpp::Connection conn(false); (global variable)
I've modify my Makefile and the compiler and linker work correctly but when I test the agent the VM says "Could not find agent library on the library path or in the local directory"
Below the code:

It will not load otherwise, and you must specify -agentlib:x (rather than saying libx.so). Yes, it is "funny" how it gives the same uninformative error message for a wide variety of errors. It will also give you this same error message if there are still unresolved symbols upon loading your library (which would be my second guess).

Error: Could not find file for old Adobe Reader Bundle
We are running Zenworks 11.2.3a (just upgraded to this version last week) on a linux server. Today, I received calls from a number of users, their computers were displaying the following error message:
Could not find the file "/var/opt/novell/zenworks/content-repo/tmp/zpm/plp//windows/x86/en/E8833D51-5176-4B73-B6D2-A47603C3270D.plp" to install.
They are getting this pop-up message 2 times every time Zenworks refreshes.
I tried to find this file on the Zenworks server but the directory does not exist on the server. In fact, I can only navigate as far as /var/opt/novell/zenworks/content-repo/tmp/zpm - there is only one folder in this directory named dauzip.
Here is the error message from the zmd-messages.log on one of the workstations:
[GenericActions.FileCouldNotBeFound] [Could not find the file "/var/opt/novell/zenworks/content-repo/tmp/zpm/plp//windows/x86/en/E8833D51-5176-4B73-B6D2-A47603C3270D.plp" to install.] [] [fd868047b8dda3fab8f372c803a2a4f3]
Any idea what's causing this error or how to fix it?No idea what is causing this.
To fix, maybe just delete the bundle and create a new one ? -

2 Do we have any workaround for this issue?
3 When will the final 12.4 release be available?I can't say for sure whether your problem is fixed in the final release without a test case, but I'd say the chances are very good.
The final release will be announced soon. Watch this space, or the Oracle Solaris Studio page for an announcement. -
I have been searching the forums and the web for hours and have not found a solution to a problem we are having. We upgraded our reports from VS.NET 2003 to VS.NET 2008 and started getting the below error upon our Report.Export code.
Logon failed. Details: mscorlib : Could not find file 'C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\xxx\ConsolidatedReports\Designers\xxxFringe\xxxFringeFunderDetail.xsd'. Failed to export the report. Error in File C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\temp_90ed8e07-481c-4bdb-8c50-885854a143d0 {B8EC61FE-7931-4979-AD92-432C21013D77}.rpt: Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters.
So when I verify the XSD and set the data source location (XML File Path: C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\xxx\ConsolidatedReports\Designers\xxxFringe\xxxFringe.xsd) the report works fine. The problem is that when another developer trys to run the report on their machine and their machine has a different path for the code, the report fails. The odd thing is that some of our reports are working fine, it is only a few that basically are looking for the hard coded XSD path.
So, as far as I can tell the XSD are not needed (Re: ADO.Net (XML) Data Source File Path). I have applied SP1 for Crystal Reports. I am totally confused why this started and why the report is looking for a "hard coded" path to the XSD.The RunReport is called by a button click on a form. This method calls ExportFile which works until the line "Report.Export()" is hit.

Could not find agent library in absolute path
Hi,
I have a JVMTI agent which works on windows that I am trying to port to linux.
I have compiled to code on Ubuntu 10.04 using Eclipse and have created shared library .so file.
When I try to run an application with the agentpath argument, I get the error: "Could not find agent library in absolute path"
When trying to run the mtrace sample from the java JDK, it works fine.
My Java version is:
java version "1.6.0_20"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_20-b02)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 16.3-b01, mixed mode, sharing)
I also tried running nm | grep Agent_OnLoad and got the following:
00029220 T Agent_OnLoad
00036230 b ZGVZ12AgentOnLoadE4data
00030720 r ZZ12AgentOnLoadE19__PRETTY_FUNCTION__
00036240 b ZZ12AgentOnLoadE4data
My agent references several libraries such as boost asio and log4cxx could it be related somehow to these?
I think it might be some sort of compilation issue because on windows it works fine.
ThanksI managed to solve my problem.
It turned out that the error was caused by missing referenced libraries that were not linked in to my so file.
Once I added all of the required libraries, the agent started working. -
Could not find -Xrun library: libjmeter.sl
Hi ..
My environment is:
[oracle@yavuz] /oracle # uname -a
HP-UX yavuz B.11.11 U 9000/800 4205714048 unlimited-user license
[oracle@yavuz] /oracle # java -version
java version "1.4.2.10"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2.10-060112-14:28)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 1.4.2 1.4.2.10-060112-16:07-PA_RISC2.0 PA2.0 (aCC_AP), mixed mode)
And Oracle 10g App Server..
I have installed HP Jmeter 3.0 and followed the installation instructions. I have added
-Xbootclasspath/a:/opt/hpjmeter/lib/agent.jar
-Xrunjmeter
to my Java options.. (in Oracle App Serv.)
In .profile
SHLIB_PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/lib32:$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/lib32:/opt/hpjmeter/lib
/PA_RISC2.0;export SHLIB_PATH
(libjmeter.sl is in /opt/hpjmeter/lib/PA_RISC2.0)
Note: I have also tried to change LD_LIBRARY_PATH (with/without SHLIB_PATH)
and I have updated my env with
. .profile
And I When I run my Oracle App, got the following error message
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not find -Xrun library: libjmeter.sl
What can be the problem.. ?
TIAI had the same error message.
I forgot to set the SHLIB_PATH. So after reading your post, I set this variable (actually I did it in the app startup script rather than in .profile, since root has to start the app in question).
After this all worked, so I would suspect your env variable is not being applied somehow. -
