Could not retreive datasource oracle in webdynpro

Hi,
I've defined a datasource for oracle in the visual administrator :
jdbc datasource :
Data Source Type:   driver-based
Driver Library:  ojdbc14.jar
SQL Engine:   vendor sql
Isolation Level:   default
driver class :   oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver
URL:  jdbc:oracle:thin:@<host>:<port>:<sid>
I try to use it in my webdynpro :
javax.sql.DataSource ds=(javax.sql.DataSource)ctx.lookup(<dataSource name>);
java.sql.Connection con=ds.getConnection();
java.sql.Statement stmt=con.createStatement();
con.close();
But it throws the following exception :
com.sap.engine.services.jndi.persistent.exceptions.NameNotFoundException: Object not found in lookup of Baical_V1.
Does someone know what I could do ?
Thanks
Regards
Claire

Thanks Anilkumar,
I've resolved my problem :
this parameters can't work :
Data Source Type: driver-based
Driver Library: ojdbc14.jar
SQL Engine: vendor sql
Isolation Level: default
driver class : oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver
URL: jdbc:oracle:thin:@<host>:<port>:<sid>
like it is explained in thread :
JDBC Connector in NetWeaver Dev Studio WebAS
I couldn't issue with a "driver-based" dataSource type AND the ojdbc14.jar driver like indicated in note 941594.
I've used this parameters :
Datasource type: ConnectionPoolDataSource
JDBC Version: 2.0
Driver: <name of the ojdbc14.jar deployed driver> (this driver has to be deployed before ! : http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/80/4f34c587f05048adee640f4c346417/frameset.htm)
SQL Engine: vendor sql
Isolation Level: default
Driver class: oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSourceFactory
CPDS Classname: oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleConnectionPoolDataSource
Additional properties:
url = jdbc:oracle:thin:@host:port:instance
user = xxxx
password = yyyyy
(Names of properties must be lower-cased)
A good solution to find where was the problem, was to try to declare the datasource directly in the application (adding a data-sources.xml in the META-INF directory http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/64/0bee3da7138e5be10000000a114084/frameset.htm
) so you can have the detail of the exception in the datasource when you deploy the application, whereas when you create a wrong datasource, in the WAS, you have no message !

Claire

    hi, you should not do nothing with user root.
    please, don't use root again for weblogic administration.
    list all files with root permissions:
    move to Middleware Home, example: cd /u01/app/oracle/Middleware
    find . -user root
    if there are files with root permissions, change it to oracle:oinstall
    I saw this:
    Could not load Logmanager "oracle.core.ojdl.logging.ODLLogManager"
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.core.ojdl.logging.ODLLogManager
    Please check in DOMAIN_HOME/bin/setDomainEnv.sh file if exist this:
    JAVA_OPTIONS="-Djava.util.logging.manager=oracle.core.ojdl.logging.ODLLogManager ${JAVA_OPTIONS}"
    export JAVA_OPTIONS
    MWCONFIG_CLASSPATH=${FMWCONFIG_CLASSPATH}${CLASSPATHSEP}${COMMON_COMPONENTS_HOME}/modules/oracle.odl_11.1.1/ojdl.jar
    export FMWCONFIG_CLASSPATH
    if exist, replace for:
    JAVA_OPTIONS="${JAVA_OPTIONS}"
    export JAVA_OPTIONS
    if not existe, its necesary for you to use /prosun/jasper/org.apache.commons.logging_1.0.4.jar in your classpath?. If it isn't necesary delete it, and restart the AdminServer.

  • Could not retreive download information in App Store via Wi-Fi!

    I have a very very critical problem about downloading stuffs in App Store! The detail is when I open App Store, after loading stuffs, it said: "Could not retreive download informations, please connect to iTune." I don't care about the message, so I continue anyway. After entering my account informations, the second problem
    appeared, there's another message said: "To ensure the secure connection, please check your setting in Date & Time." some like that. It's okay, I configured the setting, but after that, it showed me the same message. So I have no idea about what happening. Because this is not work, so I follow the first recommandation: connect to iTune. But it also not work. Is there have any relations in these 3 problem? Now I feel lose and I need some help!!!

    Are you accessing the App Store on iPod Touch or iTunes?? maybe you should try the other.

  • Could not connect to oracle OLAP

    Hi

    Thanks
    Younis

    I think you forgot grant OLAP_USER, D4OPUB role to younis
    Make sure D4OSYS user is created. D4OSYS is the owner when the Discoverer OLAP catalog is created.
    Make sure the OLAPSYS user and OLAP_USER/OLAP_DBA role is created in order to grant D4OPUB. You might need to run $ORACLE_HOME\olap\admin\olap.sql to create those accounts eventhough you have OLAP option installed.
    I found directly install latest Oracle database patchset (10.1.0.4) and then create database doesn't have those accounts automatically, unless you are upgrade from 10.1.0.3.
    Hope this can help

  • Could not start the oracle service on local computer

    Could not start the oracle service on local computer, did not return an error blah, blah.
    I am running Oracle 9i r2 Windows, and have choosen to start my instances manually. When i start them up I get the above error message. But if I am a little patient the services do start up and all is fine, so far as i can see anyway.
    I am curious to know why does this error message arise.
    Thanks in anticipation
    Fergus

    To start the database in windows you have to start first the OracleService<SID> service.
    These are the steps that you have to do at the command line:
    NET START OracleService<SID>
    SET ORACLE_SID=<database sid>
    sqlplus /nolog
    conn sys/password as sysdba
    startupJoel Pérez

  • "could not start the Oracle BI Presentation Server on Local computer error"

    Hello Folks,
    i am trying to start the OBIEE Presentation services, The OBIEE server and Java Host Services are started.
    i am getting this error and i didnt change any settings and finally getting this error
    "Windows could not start the Oracle BI Presentation Server on Local Computer. For more information, review the System Even Log. If this is a non Microsoft service contact the service vendor, and refer to service-specific error code -1."
    thanks

    Here is the solution from another freind
    1. Stop BI Server Service > Start BI Server Service > Start BI Presentation Service. If that doesn't work...
    2. Restart machine and follow step 1. If that doesn't work...
    3. Check instantconfig.ini file and check syntax is correct. Also check java directory path mentioned is the valid one. If that doesn't work...
    4. Rename the catalog folder to something else and follow step 1. It will create new catalog folder. Then copy _Shared from old catalog folder and you are good to go.
    catalog folder will be in oraclebidata/web/catalog...
    either delete the folder and create a new empty one or rename it
    also have a look at instanceconfig.ini file
    thanks

    Thanks,
    Ravi

    The problem is OBIEE server not able to read the tnsnames.ora file. That depends upon the what you set as ORACLE_HOME. that can be find with tnsping command at command line. Follow this article about setting up oracle home and oci drivers
    http://oraclebizint.wordpress.com/2007/10/03/oracle-bi-ee-101332-identifying-oracle-homes-for-oci-drivers/
    please make sure that your DB-home is the first entry in your PATH environment variable.
    Have you created TNS_ADMIN environment variable. Create a environment variable TNS_ADMIN which maps to location where tnsnames.ora file located.
    let me know if you are not able to load after this steps.

  • Fix MSBuild error = Could not find .datasource file

    Hi,
    I have a VS2010 solution that I opened in VS2013 and followed the automatic conversion process.  After that I edited the TFS build process template to remove the extraneous references to Version=10.0.0.0 which were duplicated due to a VS2010 bug (I
    found a blog by an MS employee that pointed to this issue).  The solution builds fine from my VS2013 but when I submit it to TFS build server using the modified build process template, I get an error (please see attached) referring to missing .datasource
    file for one of the WCF projects.
    What could I do in terms of possible adding build parameters to the MSBuild or changes to the WCF project to remove this error?
