Could we install flash paper on linux server?

just wondering if its possible.

Hey mate, I answered this to another question so I'll copy paste where I'm at for you.
Also, see here: http://vimeo.com/57973290
Okay! I'm working on OSX. Trying to get this on Ubuntu Server.
I am still waiting for Adobe to get back to me but in the meantime I have done some tinkering.
Basically, you just need to copy the Resources folder inside the AUSST tool (Show package contents).
Click on "Show Original" to anything that looks like an alias inside and replace with the original content. (I think this is the "includes" folder and the "config" subfolder under lib).
From there you have to edit the main AdobeUpdateServerSetupTool2.0.py and delete line 33 "from version import *", you also have to remove the "%(ToolVersion)" on line 1351. I just discovered this from trying to run python and getting traceback errors.
From there, I think you can use the tool like normal. In ubuntu server I ran a command in bash like "python AdobeUpdateServerSetupTool2.0.py --root=/home/serveradmin/test/" (where "serveradmin" is MY username, and "test" is the folder to store the downloads,  your config may differ).
I can confirm this then gets the files downloading. I am not at a stage where I have tried setting up apache to host this out. Just a start!
Ideally Adobe would have had much better documentation if they mention it can be run off Linux in their Enterprise video!
I have also made a video I can post to vimeo showing these steps, should anyone request!
Best of luck!
James

  • Installing Flash Player on Linux

I've removed the older version of Flashplayer and installed
the new version both via the install script and manually. Help,
    About_Plugins shows its installed:
    File name: libflashplayer.so
    Shockwave Flash 7.0 r63
    MIME Type Description Suffixes Enabled
    application/x-shockwave-flash Shockwave Flash swf Yes
    application/futuresplash FutureSplash Player spl Yes
    Howver, going to the site
    http://www.usanetwork.com/series/the4400/,
and trying to view other videos I keep being taken to the "install
flashplayer site". This in on Mozilla 1.7.8 on Mandriva 10.1
Official. As far as I can tell the libflashplayer.so and
flashplayer.xpt are in the correct places. I'm wondering though why
at the end of the script it says to remove the xpti.dat file?
Never seemed to have had this problem before, any help would
    be appreciated.

  • Could not install SOA on my linux box

    Hi,
I downloaded soa_linux_x86_101310_disk1.cpio from OTN (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/business_rules/index.html). unzip it, and run the install/runInstaller, but I got the following error. I also run the uname, and "cat /etc/issue" command. As you can see from below, my OS is Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 3). I do not know why the OUI said my OS does not meet the requirement. I also tried to set/unset ORACLE_HOME before the install, same error for both cases. This is pretty urgent. I appreciate your quick response.

  • Installing problem on Windows 2003 Server 64 bit

    Dear All,
I'am trying to install XE onto a Windows 2003 Server 64 bit.. The installation process ends without any errors but the database itself seems not to start.
I tried several hints that have been mentioned here within the forum. But none of them worked. While experimenting I saw that there is not a single registry entry of Oracle within HKEY_LOCAL_MASCHINE\Software .
Is there a possiblity to set those needed registry entries manually? Is there a script for that purpose?
Thank you very much for your help!
    Regards
    Matthias

    Hi,
thank you for your reply. As 32bit programs should run under Windows 64bit I thought the XE should run under 64bit, too.
The installation of XE itself seems to finish without any errors. But within the log files it can be read that the database has not started up due to a out of memory problem. This causes many log entries within all other logfiles as no database could be created.
The out of memory problem might be the same as within Advice on running XE on a small virtual Linux host ("Virtuozzo") because I am using a virtual windows 2003 server with "Virtuozzo", too.
At this time I am on discussing the issue with the provider. Maybe I will get a dedicated server with Windows Server 2003 64bit. Hopefully the XE could be installed on the 64bit Windows Server because 32bit dedicated servers are rare.
    Best regards
    Matthias

  • Installing Studio 8, I could convert web pages/pdfs/.docs to flash paper CS3 I can't?

If so, we need to bring it back, I used it as part of my
workflow for clients. Some clients give me articles they've
appeared in in the newspaper. Flashpaper was a great way to post
the article in a printable format that wasn't pdf which I feel is a
    lot better/faster loading.
Also, taking a .doc file into flash paper was awesome as
well! please help me! somebody help me! I'll even pay for
    flashpaper functionality/exportability!
    -Line

Although I don't think there was anything
“official” it seems clear to most that Adobe no longer
has any plans for Flash Paper.
I believe you can still buy Flash Paper 2 as a standalone app
    however.
I went with Print2Flash which has a tad more flexibility than
Flash Paper 2 for about the same price.
It is a great tool and maybe Adobe will release something
better but if that's the plan they are keeping it very close to the
    vest.

  • How to install PEAR on Linux server

    Hi
I have PHP installed on one linux server and developers are using it already. I have been given the task to get the oci8 (oracle connectivity) done on this same server. I can not do the reinstall of whole PHP again. During the install of OCI extention I got many errors for missing PEAR files.
So I went through the PEAR document and found "php go-pear.php" command to install the PEAR package. This command fails with below error.
download of http://pear.php.net/get/PEAR?uncompress=yes failed: Failed to parse address "" (0)
The problem is this Linux box does not have direct internet connectivity so I had to download all the required packages as per go-pear.php on my local machine and I am FTPing them to this linux box. I have kept the "PEAR-1.8.1.tar" file in the same directory where go-pear.php file exists but still the above command tries to download it from internet.
Could you please tell me how can I overcome this problem. Please let me know if there are any RPM's that I can use to install PEAR rather that "php go-pear.php" command.
    Thanks
    Shelly

    Hi CJ.
It has been more than 4 weeks that I am strugling to get PHP-Oracle work on my system. You are the only hope right now. I have gone through so many articles and white pages that I am totally confused and starting to hate PHP or actually Suse Linux. :-)
Below are the details of my system.
    more SuSE-release
SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9 (i586)
    VERSION = 9
    PATCHLEVEL = 4
    rpm -qa php* No results

This is what I see on my system
    */usr/bin> ls -l |grep php*

    /usr/bin> whereis php
php: /usr/bin/php /etc/php.ini /usr/lib/php /usr/include/php /usr/share/php /usr/share/man/man1/php.1.gzI see that PHP is already installed on my system which is version PHP 4.3.4.
    Question.
    1) Do i have to upgrade the PHP version to the latest to get OCI8 configured?
    2) If the answer to the above question is Yes than could you point me to any reference doc?
    3) If the upgrade is not needed, how can I configure PHP to use OCI8 to connect to database?
    Thanks in advance
