If i try to run it(orabpel in application server control), i get the message that the application has been started while it is still down. If i try to click the particular application, i get the following error.
An error has occurred.

Hi,
1.Run opmnctl status -app command and see the status of orabple.
2.If this is down , then stop the opmnctl.
3.Rename J2ee/oc4j_soa/persistance folder.
4.Restart the opmnctl & see the status.

Also the BPEL process containing JMS adapter is not able to pick up data from JMS queue.
The same adapter was used in ESB service as well, which is working fine. There are no issues in ESB JMS Adapter connecting to JMS Queue of TIBCO EMS server.
    Your help is appriciated.

  • NO domains accessible to the user error while opening bpel console

    Hi all,
I have applied SOA patchset 10.1.3.5 on SOA 10.1.3.1 .After that when I am trying to access bpel console is givving the error like
'No Domains accessable to the user logged in'. I am able to connect to the database using jdeveloper.
I am missing any post instalation steps ?.Can anybody help me please.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Durgareddy Katta.

    Hi
It means that your bpel services have failed to start up. perhaps a failure with patching it.
Did you also patched the orabpel schema? Did you follow the post install tasks?
Look into $ORACLE_HOME/bpel/domains/domain_name/logs/domain.log and ORACLE_HOME/opmn/logs, oc4j_soa logs what kind of errors there are related to bpel startup

  • SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 loses instances in the BPEL console

    Hello,
One of my BPEL processes loses instnaces in the BPEL console.
    OS: AIX 5.3 oslevel –s:5300-04-02
    SOA Suite 10.1.3.4
I feel I hit the same problem as this thread, process is supposed to be in a jta transaction
But I have set following 3 values (all in seconds), and I still have the problem. The SYNC call is to query the Oracle EBS PO by PO NO, and get its po lines, line shipments, and shipment distributions by Oracle Database Adapter. If my PO just had one line, the process instance can be seen in the console, otherwise it won't, but all these instances are finished, because in the end the process will enqueue a message into a queue. And I can see all these messages there. Anyone can help? Thanks!

Edited by: Kerrs on 2/04/2009 12:15

    Hi Kerr,
These are the possible cause to the problem and their solutions:
Poor performance of the dehydration database If you are using Oracle Lite as dehydration store, please switch to use Oracle 9i or 10g. If Oracle 9i/10g is already in use, check the database parameter 'process' and 'session' to make sure it can handle the expected throughput.
OC4J has too few available connections to the dehydration database. Increase the maxConnection number of the BPELServerDataSource at the BPEL_HOME/integration/orabpel/system/appserver/oc4j/j2ee/home/config/data-sources.xml (for developer edition) or IAS_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_BPEL/config/data-sources.xml (mid-tier installation).
Size of message is too big Two ways to deal with this problem:
Increase the transaction timeout at PEL_HOME/integration/orabpel/system/appserver/oc4j/j2ee/home/config/server.xml (developer edition) or IAS_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_BPEL/config/server.xml (mid-tier installation) : http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28981/app_trblshoot.htm#sthref3957
Decrease the auditLevel from BPELConsole -> Manage BPEL Domain -> Configurations tab. Doing so will reduce the amount of data saved to the dehydration store.
Having said all that , its always good to be on latest 10.1.3.4 MLR # 5, so that if you have an SR logged with Oracle Support, they will not again ask you to upgrade to latest patch, rather they can focus on getting a fix for you on top of the latest patch itself.
    Hope this helps!
    Cheers

  • Error message in BPEL console when purging instances

    Hi
I get an error message in the BPEL console when I Purge All Instances. The problem arised when i patched SOA suite to version 10.1.3.3. (On 10.1.3.1 i beleive this worked.)
    ======================================
    Exception
    Operation failed because:
    Cannot delete instances.
The process domain was unable to purge the instances from the datastore. The exception reported is: [POL-5130] table or view SYSTEM.WI_FAULT not found
Please check that the machine hosting the datasource is physically connected to the network. Otherwise, check that the datasource connection parameters (user/password) is currently valid.
    sql statement: DELETE FROM wi_fault WHERE domain_ref = ?
    ======================================
I also get a similar error message when i use the search activity function in the BPEL console, and when I use the java-api:s to search among activities.
Does anyone know anything about this error?
    Thankyou

I got the same error, but long after I upgraded to 10.1.3.3.
As this was on Windows with Oracle Lite, I did like below to fix the issue. Unfortunately I seem to have more issues with the BPEL database so I'm going to try to find a way to reinitialize it from scratch.

    java.security.AccessControlException - access denied (com.collaxa.security.ServerPermission server read)
Though my esb console, orawsm, rule author, hw_service all are working fine. For your info I am using default file based security. realm is jazn.com
THe problem I fetched since I registered soa_oc4j with OID. and then assign orabpel instance level security provider to OID. later I switched to again my default existing file based security without checking OID is working or not. I restarted oc4j container, soa_oc4j and restarted database.DOne everything but all failed.
Tried all possibility gone in vain. My requirement is so urgent that I am dying for it.
plz if somebody can come up with a solution It will be highly appreciated.

    Hi AJ,
I have not followed the same. I have done to register OID from em console. and then simply changed the security provider as newly registered OID with bpel and hw_services.Is there any way to revert it back.*however I have found that the is_config.xml.BPM is missing from the <SOA_HOME>/bpel/system/services/config directory.*
Later anyhow I have restored file based security provider to all the component currently running on my OAS. Here is the status of my jazn.xml file. Now I do not need OID at all.

  • Error coming while opening BPEL console.

    Hi'
I am getting the below error if I am trying to go on the BPEL console, I am able to open rule author in the SOA suite.
I have to confess that I ended one opmn.exe process in the task manager, as the system was getting hanged. After ending the opmn process hanging was gone and SOA suite also started sucessfully but this error started coming.
    please advice what to do.
    thanks
    Yatan

  • Error in BPEL console (jdbc/BPELServerDataSourceWorkflow)

    Hi all,
When I enter in BPEL console I'm getting this error:
The following exception occured while processing this request:
No se puede recuperar una conexión de origen de datos.
El dominio de proceso no ha podido establecer una conexión con el origen de datos con la dirección URL de conexión "jdbc/BPELServerDataSourceWorkflow". La excepción mostrada es: [POL-3011] se ha detectado un error de lectura del dispositivo
Compruebe que la máquina que contiene el origen de datos está conectada físicamente a la red. De lo contrario, compruebe que los parámetros de conexión de origen de datos (usuario/contraseña) son válidos actualmente.
In English: Unable to get a connection to the data source. The process' domain couldn't establish a connection with the data source with URL "jdbc/BPELServerDataSourceWorkflow". Shown exception is: [POL-3011] a reading error has been detected. Make sure that the machine is connected to the net, otherwise, make sure the connection parameters for the data source (user/password) are actually correct.
I'm working with my local Application Server so I don't need to be connected to the net (although, I am) and I have never changed my user and password to enter to the console....
I have a BPEL process that is running correctly (it does some transformations that I've seen the results). When I enter in BPEL console and I look for the created instances I get the error I specified above. I would like to debug my processes, so it is necessary to access to the BPEL console. Anyone knows what could be happening? This error has happened suddenly, I've been able to enter to the BPEL console until today.
    Thanks for your help...

    Hi,
If your bpel process is changing to an OFF state, it means that there is an error.
For example, if you poll a file from a directory, and the file has a bad format, it might change to OFF.
Look at the log files and find out what is the error.

  • BPEL Console error

    Hi,
I am getting the below error in BPEL console:
    Cannot fetch a datasource connection.
The process domain was unable to establish a connection with the datasource with the connection URL "jdbc/BPELServerDataSourceWorkflow". The exception reported is: Listener refused the connection with the following error:
ORA-12516, TNS:listener could not find available handler with matching protocol stack
The Connection descriptor used by the client was:
    (DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=(LOAD_BALANCE=on)(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=localhost)(PORT=1521)))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVICE_NAME=XE)))
Please check that the machine hosting the datasource is physically connected to the network. Otherwise, check that the datasource connection parameters (user/password) is currently valid.
I checked the BPELServerDataSourceWorkflow source in server control and working fine but when I am running application and open BPEL consol, it is giving me an error.
Please let me know if I can get any solution for it.
    regards,
    Sreejit

    Hi sreejit,
Restart your database. Probably there is some problem with the database.
    or
Check your datasource connection details in EM-> JDBC connections.
    Cheers,
    Abhi...

  • Deployed processes stopped showing up in BPEL console

    Hello,
Our BPEL processes stopped picking up business events; BPEL console dashboard is empty. After, restarting oc4j_soa instance on secondary node, BPEL process picked up business events. After few minutes, BPEL process showed in console.
After one day, BPEL processes disappeared from console.
Following is the error message, I see in soa_err*.log on all nodes after the last successful pick up.

Also, EM console does not show any web services for ORABPEL application.
What do I need to do make the deployed process show up in BPEL console?
    Regards,
    Siva

I ran into a BPEL_OC4J_SOAP_Provider error today and it was related to my proxy. The proxy on my local machine with JDeveloper would allow a WSDL with an unqualified name through. For instance, the machine kronos:7779 would validate, compile, and deploy from my machine. But looking up the WSDL on the server would produce the above described error. When I changed the name of the server to kronos.whatever.com:7779 it worked as expected on the server.

  • Not able find BPEL console link in 11g

    Hi,
I have installed SOA suite11g, Oracle Xpress Edition 11.0.0.28844, Weblogic server 10.3, Jdeveloper 11g. But I am not able to see my BPEL Console when I use the link http://localhost:8001/BpelConsole.
All the above mentioned components have been installed in my machine only so there is no connectivity issue.
Please let me know if I am missing something or what are the steps to get to the BPEL Console. I am able to login to my weblogic admin console.
Any kind of help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Abhay

I am in the same boat please let me know if you find any solution.

  • Process instances do not show in BPEL Console

    Hi all,
I have a BPEL, which reads a files from a particular folder if any, Process records in that file and then stores it in database.
I am facing a problem, my records gets processed, this BPEL works fine, as i can see the output in database, however associated instances are not shown in the BPEL Console. But if i restart the process (i.e. Switch OFF the process and Again Switch ON) it shows me all the previous instances and also the current instances. But sometime again this problem occurs.
Has anyone faced the same issue? Please let me know in case anyone has solution.
    Thanks in advance.

[http://download.oracle.com/technology/tech/soa/soa_best_practices_1013x_drop3.pdf|http://download.oracle.com/technology/tech/soa/soa_best_practices_1013x_drop3.pdf] I found below in SOA best practices guide:
Why Does the Instance of an Invoked Process Not Display in Oracle BPEL Control?
If the process invoked is asynchronous, the message headers and payload are stored in
the invoke_message table. The invocation message is then processed by a
background thread to create an asynchronous BPEL process instance. If an error is
encountered while processing the invocation message, the transaction is rolled back
and the invoke message remains in its unhandled state in the invoke_message table.
See "How Does an Invoke Message and Activity Display in the Manual Recovery
Page?" on page 1-18 for more details on this scenario.
If the process invoked is synchronous, the cause for the missing instance is likely a
transaction rollback. The reasons for a transaction rollback are as follows:
    ■ Third party manipulation of the JTA transaction. As described in "How Do I Force
a Rollback in a BPEL Flow?" on page 1-5, a failed database adapter invocation can
cause the TopLink layer to mark the JTA transaction for rollback. Because Oracle
BPEL Server relies on the JTA transaction for persistence (not just as a signaling
mechanism between transaction-aware modules), any changes to the status of the
transaction impact Oracle BPEL Server’s ability to dehydrate the instance.
    ■ Transaction timeout. The synchronous process may be invoking one or more
backend synchronous services; the total time of all the backend calls may exceed
the timeout value for the transaction. See "How Do I Modify Transaction Timeout
Settings for Oracle BPEL Server?" on page 1-9 for details on how to increase the
    transaction timeout value.
    ■ Failure to dehydrate the synchronous instance to the database. If the
completionPersistPolicy is set to on, the instance attempts to save itself
before returning to the caller. Typically, errors are encountered during this step if
the database connection has been severed or the tablespace is full. Some customers
    Transactions
    Oracle BPEL Process Manager 1-9
have encountered problems with saving the audit trail of the instance. For
example, there are problems with JDBC batching in 10.1.3.1.0 that the audit trail
persistence code uses. When a synchronous invocation does not result in an
instance visible from Oracle BPEL Control (assuming that
completionPersistPolicy is set to a value of on, deferred, or faulted),
use the following steps to find the underlying error:
    – Enable all loggers to debug mode.
    – Resubmit the invocation message.
    – Check the Oracle Process Manager and Notification Server (OPMN) or
command-line log for the underlying exception stack trace.

  • Impossible to connect to BPEL server from Jdeveloper

We have installed the soa suite in the following way
    -     oracle home 1 on server 1: http server
    -     oracle home 2 on server 1: apps server with two oc4j, one for the jsso and em and another one for bpel.
I want to deploy the bpel process from jdeveloper.
I first do a server connection to the server 1. When I try to test the connection I get an error

So I tried to modify the opmn.xml of oracle home 2 by adding the following line
    <ipaddr remote=”0.0.0.0” request=”0.0.0.0”/>
After this modification I am able to connect to oracle home 2 from jdeveloper BUT the http URL of enterprise manager and bpel console are no more available.
So my question is how can I enable the deployment of bpel process from Jdeveloper to the server 1?
    Thanks for your help

Yes admin instance is running on home 2 and more precisely on oc4j_home.
BPEL and ESB is also running on home 2 but on another oc4j oc4j_soa
If I use the standard configuration (the one that has been created during the installation) I am able to reach all the consoles BPEL, ESB or Enterprise Manager.
