Hi,
this can be informative...
the system field 'sy-linno' is Current row during the list creation.
Counting begins at 1 and includes the page header.
SY-LINNO is set by the output statements:
WRITE, ULINE, SKIP raise SY-LINNO by 1 in the case of a line break.
NEW-LINE raises SY-LINNO by 1.
SKIP TO LINE <lin> sets SY-LINNO to <lin>. If <lin> does not lie between 1 and the page length, the system ignores the statement.
SY-LINCT
Page length of list. SY-LINCT is 0 for a standard list of any length and has a non-zero value for lists with fixed page length.
LINE-COUNT in the statements REPORT, PROGRAM sets SY-LINCT for the current program.
ex: report < rep > line-count 10. this sets sy-linct to 10.

Inserting a new extension field in the line item details page

Hi!
Is it possible to insert an extension field/collection in the line item details page of the master agreement? I have tried supplying several Field ID found on that page on the DISPLAY AFTER field of the extension, but nothing works - the new field still gets displayed at the header page.

Hi,
Line Item is an independent class. You cant add an extension to Line Item through Master Agreement. This is the reason why the extension you add appears on the header tab of Master Agreement.
When I go to create an extension definition, I don't find Line Item in the drop down of Extended Class Name. So, my guess would be that we cannot create an extension definition for Line Items.
Let us know if you, or anybody, has a way to achieve it.

Applescript - how can I count the number of records in a Word data source?

I have written a script in AppleScript to open Word and then perform a mail merge from a data source and everything is working fine.
One thing I want to do but am struggling with is to return the number of records in the mail merge.
I am trying things like:
get last record of datasource of mydatasource
and also haven't been able to find anything in the AppleScript 2004 Word Reference Guide.
Can anyone help as I have been searching the web and trying things all day and I am sure it can't be difficult.

I don't think there is an automatic way to get a line count, but I don't have any problem just counting the lines on a page. Maybe some more information about what you are trying to do and why you can't do it would help someone to come up with a helpful suggestion.

You can not set the No of Lines per page in the SCRIPT programetically, but here is the way to count the lines per page and you can restrict the lines per page also, just count the Total lines of all winodws in that page, lines mean The length of the windoe, lets say all the window lenghts are 20cm, then 20 lines will be printed. and you can convert this lenght cm to Lines also in the script. by converting the lenght Cm tyo lines you can count and reqtrict ..

Actually, if you are looking for kloc statitics, it is more complicated. You would not want blank lines counted. You may also want to separate out the counts for comments vs. code. Also seprations between JavaDoc comments and commented-out code. There are free and commercial programs which do this, or you can write your own.

I wonder how can I count the lines of the specified files?

Counting the number of lines for each procedure in a package

Hi,
I would like to write a query on USER_SOURCE that can display the number of code lines for each procedure/function in a package.
Is it possible to write such a query? Maybe by using analytical functions?
for example in the following example i would like to count the lines between "PROCEDURE proc1 IS" and "END proc1;" and between "PROCEDURE proc2 IS" and "END proc2;"

Varying the line count in every page

Hi All..
I want to vary the line count in a page in my report.
I have mentioned the line size n line count at the starting of the report, n it prints the same no of lines in every page but in the subsequent pages , I want to increase the line count .
How can I do that ?

well,the code u suggested does not work..NEW-PAGE is jus a standalone command with which the line count cannot be associated.
I actually have some header details that shud only appear on 1st page , n basing on the line count all works fine on 1st page ..but on the 2nd page the header details ned not appear , so only the itab details are getting printed , so the sy-tabix value remains the same but the line count is less than the 1st page leaving some space at the bottom of the page .
And in the subsequent pages the printing takes place but from the begining of the page n also leaving more space at the bottom of the page.
I want that equal no of lines get printed each page , also leaving equal no of lines at the bottom of each page.
Hope I'm sounding clear.

BDC for FF67 not displaying the line itmes of second page

How to print header lines at the top of every page with Alv list display?

Dear all,
I need a requirement with printing issue. A program list should be printed with the function reuse_alv_list_display.
The list has several pages and then can be printed but the header lines appear only first page when they printed. The other pages don't have header lines, they continue with the next record of the list remaining from previous page. I use the alv parameters as below:

Your point might be very close to solution.
Because in the selection screen of the program there are two radio buttons, one of them visits 'REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE' function and the other doesn't. The one which visits has a problem with header liens in every page when printing. But I couldn't find out the solution yet.
reuse_alv_list_display uses 4 event and of course I call subroutine. There are end_of_list, end_of_page, top_of_list and top_of_page. I use in the subroutine for top_of_page:

You can enable your Known & Trustworthy Add-ons later. Check and tell if its working.

I did a COPY of some text from a web page, and then did a PASTE into notepad.exe (Windows). The text from each line was duplicated -- on the line! Instead of "Fred", it became "Fred Fred".

I just recently installed Firefox for the first time. It seems nice and quick. The version is reported as: "10.0.1".
I wanted to save some text from a web page, so navigated to that page, selected the text, and pressed the Control-C combination to COPY the selected text to the buffer. For example, the text I selected looked something like this:

Ron
Hermione
Hagrid
Albus
NOTE: Each line of text has a small icon to the left of the text.
It is not reasonable to COPY and PASTE each line individually, as there can be hundreds of lines of data. I recall, however, that
doing a COPY and PASTE on this data into Microsoft's Excel will produce cells which have the icons included in the cell, but unfortunately one cannot can't get rid of them! At least I've never found a way to remove them, but that's another issue. :)
Once I'd done the COPY operation I switched to a Notepad window and did a PASTE operation. To my surprise, the text from each line was duplicated. It looked like this:
Harry Harry
Ron Ron
Hermione Hermione
Hagrid Hagrid
Albus Albus
Thinking that there might be something unusual about the web page I looked at the source, but it appeared "normal" -- that is, as expected.
Note: I have done this operation several times before, and have never seen this occur before.
Note: In the actual data some of the lines have quoted text in them. Curiously there is weird behavior on these lines. In some cases the entire line is shown only once. (These occur at the top of the line, and the quoted text is at the beginning of the name.)
When quoted text appears "later" in the name, in some cases the quoted text is duplicated, and in other cases the quoted text is missing altogether! I have also noticed an error with the quoted text, and so will be reporting that to the web site which generates the HTML.
Note that each line of "text" is "anchor text", so if I click on a name the browser navigates to a page for that name.
I believe that the problem is that the COPY operating in Firefox is not simply copying the visible text, but also the ALT=
Below is a sample of what the source HTML looks like:

(Because of the true length of the lines in the source HTML, I have stripped out the actual URL of the site.)
To make sure I wasn't imaging this difference I repeated the process within Internet Explorer. In that browser I did not get duplicated data.

How to find out the Last line of a page in Smart forms

I need to find out the last line of a page in smartforms.
I have Heading in a text element and its text in another text element.
If the heading falls in the last line, its contents will be displayed in the next page. I want to print the heading in the next page.
Please advise on this issue.

You can put both the heading and contents in a Folder node and check the page protection checkbox of the Folder node. This way both will be displayed on the same page always.
