Counter returns garbage values

I am using cDAQ 9184 and 9401 Digital I/O card,I am using the counters available for frequency measurement(pulses are generated by a hall sensor,whose frequency i want to measure to estimate DC motor speed.But the problem is that counter returns garbage values.I have tested the card and its counters they are working fine.What could be the possible causes of this happening?

Are these garbage values much higher frequency than you would expect? If so you're probably picking up noise and should enable the PFI filter for your task.

Return multiple values from a method

For a school project I have to make a parameter-less constructor that can input values from the keyboard and calculate those values. Now that I have the values how do I return them? I need to return 3 values from this parameter-less method.

I suppose you could define a class whose constructor queries the user, and which would have a method to return values. That could be pretty simple; the method signature would be like this:

In conclusion: I have to have two methods. One method is a constructorConstructors aren't methods. If your teacher told you that they are, then he/she doesn't know what he/she is doing.
that has NO parameters that will get input from the keyboard (done) and do the calculations (done). The other method must print that values to the screen on separate lines (not done). I don't know how to get the values out of the method.If they're two methods in the same class, then the constructor just needs to store the user input into a field of the class, and the other method can read the values in that field.

Returning multiple values from a table

Hi there i am working on a bit of sql which will return values when they exist in a table.
The code I have returns the correct value when there is only one entry in the tbl_studentmodules table, as soon as there is more than one entry in this table it displays no rows at all :(.
Can anyone point out how I go about returning multiple values?

I'm not quite sure I understand what you are looking for, but I think a simple join may be what you need. something like:
select modulename
from tbl_modulefeedback mfb
   join tbl_studentmodules sm
      on mfb.modulecode = sm.modulecode
where upper(sm.student_id) = upper(:APP_USER)This will return the module name for all modules that the given student has provided feeedback for. If there is a possibility that a student/module combination could appear in tbl_studentmodules more than once, something like this might be better to show the modulename only once.

Vbscript RegRead function not behaving consistently and/or returning correct values when they exist in the registry

I seem to be having a problem using the RegRead function within vbscript to return a simple value from the registry. When I run it on my workstation (windows 7 x64 sp1), it seems to miss certain registry values that are indeed there (specifically, I am looking
for instances of "Adobe" in the displayName value of HKLM\Software\wow6432node\microsoft\windows\uninstall). However, when I run on a test VM, it returns the values fine. I am hoping someone might be able to explain this inconsistency and why it
is happening.

When I run "cscript regread.vbs remoteHost Adobe" on my local machine, it does not "find" any instance of Adobe within the registry of machine "remoteHost". However, when I run it from a test VM, it does find the existing instances

Does anyone know why this might be happening? The only main difference is that the machine that the script does not work on, has visual studio 2013 installed.

Well I think we can agree that it is not supported remotely. Because while it did initially work remotely, it didnt behave consistently; that is, it worked on the VM, but not my desktop. That's the whole reason I created this thread. Sorry if you are confused,
but I most certainly was not lying and not trying to troll the forum or whatever it is you are insuinuating. Chill out a little bit and maybe you might get that Microsoft MVP.
I am trying to get you t understand why what you are saying is wrong. You may have thought it worked but there were a number of things that make it impossible to actually work.
You were enumerating a remote key. You were using that key name with RegRead and it was looking up the local value. That is why it could not find remote keys and values. The local and remote machines will not match on all keys.
The correct call is the "GetStringValue" of the registry provider because it is the only call that can read remote values. My point is that you were fooling yourself by thinking that it ever actually worked. If anything it was just dumb luck
that the keys would match.
So maybe you weren't actually lying but you were surely foolingyourself and confusing us.
Anyway - glad you fixed it and just remember to not mix calls like you did. Also don't use On Error Resume Next unless you plan on test every call for an error.

Will a sequence return same value for two different sessions?

Is there a possibility that a sequence will return same value to two different sessions when it is referred exactly at the same instance of time?

@Justin... Thanks for your insight; indeed, we too feel this shouldn't ever happen and never heard of it either, but there it is. (No, we haven't logged a TAR yet -- whatever that is -- partly because it didn't occur to us and partly because we only recently came across the issue and sensibly want to do some testing before we cry foul.)
However, the code is pretty straight-forward, much like this (inside a FOR EACH ROW trigger body):
SELECT <seqname>.NEXTVAL INTO <keyvar> FROM DUAL;
INSERT INTO <tblname> (<keyfield>, <... some other fields>)
VALUES(<keyvar>, <... some other values> );
(where <tblname> is NOT the table on which the trigger is fired). This is the only place where the sequence is ever accessed. The sequence state is way below its limits (either MAXVALUE or <keyfield>/<keyvar> datatype size).
In this setup, end users sometimes got an out-of-the-blue SQL error to the effect that uniqueness constraint has been violated -- as I said, we used to have a unique index on <keyfield> -- which leads us to assume that the sequence generated a duplicate key (only way for the constraint to be violated, AFAIK). We released the constraint and indeed, using a simple SELECT <keyfield>, COUNT(*) FROM <tblname> GROUP BY <keyfield> HAVING COUNT(*)>1 got us some results.
Unfortunately, the <tblname> table gets regularly purged by a consumer process so it's hard to trace; now we created a logger trigger, on <tblname> this time, which tracks cases of duplicate <keyfield> inserts... We'll see how it goes.

Returning a value from a LOV to the main document

Hi,
I'm using jheadsrart with uix, I have a form with a LOV. When I chose a value in the LOV, I need to return another value from that LOV to a hidden field in my main document.
How can I do that?

Hi Rohit,
Just declare the two variables var1(variable for checking data) & var2(variable for counter) in your include program.
Inside the include you can do the coding as under:
IF VAR1 <condition for checking data>.
VAR2 = VAR2 + 1.
ENDIF.
Now you can check the value of the variable VAR2 in the main program & call the desired function.

Function not returning right value

I have this following function, based on the return value from this function, I am inserting a row into the GROUP_MAP table.
This function is returning a value greater than zero even though constrains would not let it select any rows.
It looks as if it is not applying the "AND STRING_CODE = String_Code" constraint to the result set. If there are two records matching the groupOID I passed it is returning two as the count(*). I checked by executing the query directly and I got 0 as the result. I sounds so strange. Is there any thing I am doing wrong ?

Return array value based on selection criteria

I have one data field that holds text data similar to below:
"Meeting Room 1 (Projector), Meeting Room 2 (Whiteboard), Meeting Room 3 (Video Conferencing)"
"Meeting Room 3 (LCD Display), Meeting Room 1 (Video Conferencing), Meeting Room 2 (Whiteboard)"
The meeting rooms are not always in the same order, I cant count on Meeting Room 1 being followed by Meeting Room 2 etc.
My objective is to only return the meeting room that has the Whiteboard.
I'm aware that I can use SPLIT to seperate the Meeting Rooms by the comma and place their components into an array.
What I'm not sure how to do is return the meeting room with the Whiteboard when that could be [1] in the Array or [2] or [3] in the array.
I need to return the array value based on its contents. Could someone help me 'search' the array created by the SPLIT command and always return that value with the word 'Whiteboard'

Webservice returns null values (Flex)

Hi all,
I created a webservice in abap,
(a RFC and a Function Web Service).
It exports a table type and contains data from a Ztable.
When i request it from Flex, it returns rows, but they contain NULL values, why ?
I can request and display bapi webservices that comes with in SapNetweaver trial 7.1 but i cant display my own webservice.
Result like this;

Why is the formula column returning garbage?

I've set up a query that performs a full outer join on two tables, returning one field from each table. Each of these fields is created by concatenating several other fields from that table, i.e.
Select a.field1 || a.field2 fielda, b.field3 || b.field4 fieldb from tablea full outer join tableb
on a.field5 = b.field5
where (a.field5 = :value or b.field5 = :value)
For any :value one or more records exists in either tablea, tableb, or neither-but never in both. This works fine in SQL*Plus, returning values in fielda, fieldb, or neither-but never in both, just as it should.
I then set up a formula column in the Group for the query, returning either fielda, fieldb, or an empty string depending on :value, i.e. If :value = 'A' then return (:fielda); ElsIf :value = 'B'; then return (:fieldb); Else return (''); End If;
In the layout I set up a repeating frame sourced to the Group, and in the frame I put a field sourced to the formula column. But the field is displaying garbage. Any ideas why?

OK, it's not returning garbage-it's just not returning the right data. It was appearing as garbage because the field was only large enough for 2 characters & I'd mistakenly left it set to Fixed.

Since I'm so new to OS X Server - I have made many mistakes with it in my home learning environment - and therefore learned quickly to make image backups every step of the way - so restoring to v2.1 was very quick and simple.
I also wanted to point out - this problem is not limited to the main screen of the Wiki. If you disable the Wiki - but leave the default website enabled - the default website will display - but if you click on the change password link - it should pop up an enter user id, old password new password window and should also automatically switch to a trusted ssl connection - assuming you have a trusted certificate correctly configured. This functionality works fine in Safari, Firefox and Chrome - but the same behavior occurs on the password change screen in IE9 as it does in the Wiki.
I am now looking into submitting this to bugreport.apple.com. I will report back after I do that.

F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST - how can I return all values from the line?

I'm using FM F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST to show a pop-up with my internal table values. The internal table has 3 fields, ATINN, ATZHL and a description field ATWTB. ATINN and ATZHL are needed to complete the unique table key, however this FM will only return the value of one field in any line I select.
How can I see all the values in the line I select in the return table?

Use the structure DYNPFLD_MAPPING
With this internal table you can easily define that you want to return
other columns of the hit list in addition to field RETFIELD to the
screen.
In this IT you can MAP the screen fields to the serch help screen fields this has three fields
FLDNAME this is the field anme from the search help
FLDINH This has to be blank which would be field with the field value that you want to map
DYFLDNAME THis is the screen field name.
So here you can get the values for the other fields that you want which are on the search help just populate the name of the fields in FLDNAME.

What is reason for cl_fpm_factory= get_instance( ) return initial value?

how sure are you that the DEV and Test system running the same Netweaver SP versions ?. My doubt is that the test system is not NW7.01 (Ehp-1) . Or some thigs are not enabled in the configuration.
