Counting non-blank rows when calculating a cumulative number

Hi
I have tried the below formula and derivations of it (using counta, countax) in trying to create a cumulative number that does not count blank cells/records.
Every variation I try however still counts blank cells/records. Does anyone have any ideas?
=CALCULATE(count(s9JudgeFTC[entity_id]),FILTER(ALL(s9JudgeFTC[ExitMonthCategory]),s9JudgeFTC[ExitMonthCategory] <= MAX(s9JudgeFTC[ExitMonthCategory])),s9JudgeFTC[reentry]=1)
Paul

Hi Paul,
use "&&" to add filter arguments:
=CALCULATE(count(s9JudgeFTC[entity_id]),FILTER(ALL(s9JudgeFTC[ExitMonthCategory]),s9JudgeFTC[ExitMonthCategory] <= MAX(s9JudgeFTC[ExitMonthCategory])
&&  NOT(ISBLANK([entity_id])),s9JudgeFTC[reentry]=1)

  • JTable Blank Rows When INSERT/DELETE in other panel with same ViewObject

    Hi,
    Jdev 10.1.2
    JClient
    2 panels based on same ViewObject in same AM
    One panel with Grid UI => JTable
    Other panel with Form UI
    When I insert or delete a record in the panel with Form UI and return to the panel with JTable blank rows are displayed.
    The problem remains even after commiting before returning to JTable panel.
    When I activate the execute button in the JTable panel, the display is OK but the currency is lost.
    I suppose calling the refresh method when returning to the JTable panel should solve the problem.
    Can you please suggest me a server-side/model workaround:
    refresh (which option to use ??)
    Thanks
    Frederic
    PS I tried the workaround of thread 10.1.2 JClient binding Error. but that doesn't help.

    Same problem with default wizard generated Master-Detail Form.
    When in the detail more then 10 rows exist, the scrollbar shows that not all rows are displayed.
    If I use the scrollbar to view the last rows they are blank, in order to display them I must activate the next button one time for each additional row.
    The workaround is to enter -1 in the range size of the iterator.
    But what if the range size is 10.
    Is the blank rows display a bug?
    OR
    Must the scrolling area (size of JScrollPane) be defined according to the range size of the iterator?
    If the latter is true:
    Can somebody give me some clues on which attributes of the JScrollPane must be set (PreferredSize, MinimumSize ??) and on how to calculate this area: total width & total height if the row height for the table is set to 20?
    Your help will be appreciated

  • Function to replace division by zero error cells with blank cells when calculating a numeric average

    Hi everyone,
    I have a five sheet spreadsheet that uses data from four sheets to calculate numeric averages in the fifth. The problem is that there is not always data in all four sheets which produces a division by zero error in the averages sheet. Is there a function or setting in Numbers 2.3 (not yet ready to upgrade to Numbers 3) that will allow these division by zero cells to be replaced by blank cells.
    I have tried using statements of the form =AVERAGE(IFERROR(Sheet 1::Table 1:: B4,""),IFERROR(Sheet 2:: Table 1:: B4,""),Sheet 3:: Table 1:: B4,""), Sheet 4:: Table 1:: B4,"")). however instead of a division by zero error this produces an error telling me "the function AVERAGE expects that a number, date or duration but found "." ". It looks as though I will have to make about 400 changes to my sheet as these errors are in this and approximately 100 other cells!
    I am hoping that there is some way if possible of correcting these errors without having to manually edit each cell individually.
    Thanks,
    Hugh

    Hugh,
    You may want to consider an intermediate sheet to handle the errors and then pass the result on to the main sheet.
    In the following mockup, I've created a small interposing table the consists of a list of sources in column A and the result from each table. In the example, I perform some operation on those intermediate results, to be passed on to the main table. This may not be a good example, and since I don't know the overall goal of your project it's just a surrogate. (In real life we probably wouldn't be interested in finding the average of averages.)
    The expression in Summary::B2 is:
    =IFERROR(INDIRECT(A&"::B4"), "SourceError")

  • Concatenate with Commas in Non-Blank Cells

    I am concatenating last and first name cells in a pair of long columns.  I do not want to display commas in the non-blank cells when extending the formula down the sheet.  On the web I found a formula which almost works:  =C7&IF(B7="","","
    "&B7) .
    But, I need to put a comma between the last and first names.  So, instead of "Smith Hal" it would read "Smith, Hal".  Please advise.
    PS, An alternative would be to delete the commas from blank cells in the concatenated column from earlier today.  But, Excel does not see them for some reason and will not allow me to replace them with nothing.  Is there a way to do this en masse?
    Thanks.

    I stumbled upon the solution.  Here is my note to myself for future reference.
    COMMAS in CONCATENATE BUT NOT IN BLANK CELLS – FORMULA
    To concatenate a long column of names (last, first) without leaving extra commas in the blanks cells use the following formula:
    =C7&IF(B7="","",", "&B7) .

  • Excel export contains a blank row for the Report Header

    Hi,
    I am getting a blank row as the first row in my SSRS report when exported to excel. I have already taken care of following things,
    1. I have hidden all of the Page Header items using Globals
    2. The position of Report Body Tablix is 0, that means there is no space between report header and Report Body.
    I have developed this Report in SSRS 2012, please let me know if any more details are required. I think even after hiding Header Items, excel creates a placeholder for page header. I can't remove header from my reports as it is needed to be published in
    pdf.
    Regards
    Mohit

    Hi Mohit,
    According to your description, you are getting a blank row as the first row in your excel report when you export the report to excel, you have hidden all the items in the Page Header by using the Globals, right?
    This blank row is for the page header, although you have hidden all the items in it, but it will still display when export report to excel. Because we can’t hidden the page Header directly. Normally, we can hidden all the items in the page Header, So in
    the design phase we can also see the blank area above the report body when preview.
    We have an alternative way by add the “SimplePageHeaders” setting in “RSReportserver.config” file, after configuration the page Header will not display in the first row of the worksheet but is rendered to the Excel page header. In Reporting Services, the
    “SimplePageHeaders” default value is “FALSE” and it indicates that the page header is rendered to the first row of the worksheet. In order to display the page header in the Header/Footer section of Excel, we need to set the “SimplePageHeaders” setting value
    to “TRUE”. I did a test on my local machine and here are my steps:
    Navigate to RSReportserver.config file: <drive:> Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS10.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportServer\RSReportserver.config.
    Backup the RSReportserver.config file before modify it, open the RSReportserver.config file with Notepad format.
    Set the Excel rendering extension code like this:
    <Render>
    <Extension Name="EXCELOPENXML" Type="Microsoft.ReportingServices.Rendering.ExcelOpenXmlRenderer.ExcelOpenXmlRenderer,Microsoft.ReportingServices.ExcelRendering">
    <Configuration>
    <DeviceInfo>
    <SimplePageHeaders>TRUE</SimplePageHeaders>
    </DeviceInfo>
    </Configuration>
    </Extension>
    </Render>
      4.  Save the RSReportserver.config file.
    Note: Changing the rendering extension parameters only affects rendering operations on the Report Server.
    When I access to Report Manager and export the report(includes a page header) to Excel format, the blank row will disappear now.

  • SharePoint Designer 2010 Error occurs when accessing Edit Form: "The server returned a non-specific error when trying to get data from the data source ..." This occurs when using "" in a calculated column in a SharePoint List

    I created a calculated column "Expiration Date" in SharePoint 2010 with formula, =IF([Contingent Hire]=TRUE,(Created+90),(IF([Contingent Hire]=FALSE," ")))
    This works in the SharePoint list but when I go to edit the Edit Form in Designer. I get the error specified in the title of this post. I'm trying to make it so the Expiration Date is blank when another column, "Contingent Hire" (a YES/No
    column) is FALSE.
    The Edit Form is essentially a DataViewWebpart. If I remove the " ", like so, "(IF([Contingent Hire]=FALSE,))" from the calc column, the error goes away; however, the Expiration Date field does not
    remain blank like I want it to.
    Does anyone have any suggestions? (Below is the error generated when I open Designer and then try to open the Edit form for the corresponding list containing the calc column)
    JackSki123

    Hi Jack,
    Could you provide a screenshot about this issue?
    As Dimitri suggested, you can install the update for your SharePoint Designer and check again.
    And you can also check if you can display "NA" instead of " " in your calculated column per the following post.

                 Hi there ,
                 If you 're working with advance table then you have an default option to create a blank row , please through topic 'add another row '
                 in jdev guide .
                 If you are working the regular table region then you might follow the below code suggested .
                 Create a new item of the type button ( not submit button ) and handle the event in PFR of your controller class
                String addRow=pageContext.getParameter(EVENT_PARAM);   //  "addRow " is an event attached to table
                if("addAnotherRow".equals(addRow))
                      am.invokeMethod("AddRow");
              In AMimplementation class :
       public void AddRow()
        OAViewObject headerVO = (OAViewObject)getsdaPacelineWorkupHeaderUpdateVO1();
        sdaPacelineWorkupHeaderUpdateVORowImpl rowh = (sdaPacelineWorkupHeaderUpdateVORowImpl)headerVO.getCurrentRow();
        rowh.getPacelineHeaderId();
        OAViewObject lineVO = (OAViewObject)getsdaPacelineWorkupLineUpdateVO1();
        Row lineRow = lineVO.createRow();
        Row lineRo = lineVO.last();
        lineRow.setAttribute("PacelineHeaderId",rowh.getPacelineHeaderId());

  • Adding a blank row to a JTable when a user begins to edit a current row

    Hi, this may be a daft question, but I've been looking through the forum and didnt find anything that really helped me. So I'm posting this in the hope someone will be a ble to point me in the right direction.
    In my current application I have a JTable. It currently contains a single emptry row. What I wish to happen is when a user begins to edit that empty row a new blank row is added to the bottom of the table.
    I'm using a custom table model, as there maybe data loaded from a Oracle database at a later date and have included an "addRow()" method which will add the blank row.
    What i'm struggling with is a way to detect when the user has started to edit the blank row and so when to call my "addRow()" method.
    I tried experimenting with propertyChange listeners but they didnt seem effective. Could someone please provide me with either a solution or a pointer in the right direction.
    Thanks for your help

    What I wish to happen is when a user begins to edit that empty row a new blank row is added to the bottom of the table.Well a user could start to edit the last row, but then they could use the escape key to cancel the cell editing. So I would only add the empty row once a cell has actually been updated.
    For this I would use a TableModelListener. The listener will only fire when the data in a cell is changed. So once the event is received you simply check if the row of the edited cell is the last row of the table.

  • [10.1.2] Blank row issue again when validation of new row fails

    Hi,
    I have read Steve's tip (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/tips/muench/blankrow/index.html) about the new 'Create-no-direct-inset' article. I tried out the new feature and it works as long no error occurs when transaction commits.
    When a validation indicates an error, the row gets inserted into the iterator and and if you don't fix the error (Back-Button) you have the blank row again.
    I think, the current feature is a good starting point for a complete solution to the problems:
    1.) Handling of Back-Button in Struts/ADF
    2.) Inserting of newly created but never committed rows
    Just a guess: Do the problems come from the new ADF binding style because all data which is rendered in a table or form comes from a binding?
    Does anyone has implemented a workaround to that problems (JDev 9052 and 1012)?
    Thanks,
    Markus

    Once you have submitted the data, the row is no longer STATUS_INITIALIZED, it becomes STATUS_NEW.
    To remove it, you need to call remove() on it.
    This is not new behavior in 10.1.2.

    I need to calculate avarage for each restricted key figures. There are some blank values in this restricted key figures. Now I need to sumup and divide by non blank count. Do you know how to do it? How to count non blnak values and find avereage.
    Thanks,
    Phani

    In the properties of Key figure used in column/row, Calculations section, you can maintain calculation type for result as well as single value. There is "Average of all values not equal 0" option is available.

  • How to get a "blank" answer when using "if" statements in a table

    I'm using a table for an invoice where an item is ordered, but more may be shipped than ordered. I have the formcalc expression figured out where I can get a 0 in the "backordered" column if the amount shipped is more than the item ordered, but I can't get rid of the 0 in the rest of the backordered column when there isn't any information in the "ordered" and "shipped" columns. Trying to get that column to be blank if there is no shipping or ordering information.
    So far this is working for the math part. Not sure how to write a "blank" into the calculation
    Sum(ordered-shipped)
    if (Sum(ordered-shipped)>0)
    then backordered=Sum(ordered-shipped)
    elseif (Sum(ordered-shipped)<0)
    then backordered=0
    endif
    Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    I'm still getting a 0 in all the backordered columns when I'd like them to be empty. The form has more rows than I will be using, so when there is no information in the shipped and ordered row, I'd like the backordered row to be empty/blank. I've tried writing this at the end of my formula
    elseif ordered=null and shipped=null
    then backordered=null(but I really want it to be blank)
    or elseif Table1.Row1.ordered=null and Table1.Row1.shipped=null
    then Table1.Row1.backordered=null
    And yes, backordered is a numeric field.
    Any more advice? Thanks!

  • How to keep a calculation field blank until the user enters a number?

    I am building a sales sheet for a school that sells scrip as a fund-raiser. I have the document set so that when the user enters the number of scrip certificates he wants (say, two $25 gift certificates at Lowe's), the program will automatically calculate that this user owes $50 for that scrip category. However, there are more than 100 companies that one can choose from, and if the user doesn't enter a number, the calculated field shows $0. Is there a way that each field can stay blank until the user enters a number bigger than zero? By the way, I'm using this calculation to determine the value (borrowed from a user on this forum): event.value = 50 * this.getField("Lowes").value
    Thanks!

    There are two approaches. You can either add the following Validate script:
    // Custom Validate script for calculated field
    if (+event.value !== 0) event.value = "";
    Or you can change your custom Calculate script and set the Format type of the field to "None":
    // Custom Calculate script
    (function () {
        var v = +getField("Lowes").value;
        event.value = (v !== 0) ? util.printf("$%.2f", v) : "";
