Coverflow view issues

I just upgraded to Windows 7 and got Itunes up and running and everything seems fine. Playlists are restored, all music accounted for, etc.
My only issue at this point is when I go into Coverflow view, the area in Itunes where the album artwork is displayed is just a big black square.
I've tried some settings and searched for fixes, but so far have been unable to resolve the problem.
Any suggestions anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

I figured out what the issue was with this. It turns out that I couldn't turn on accelleration on my video card because it was outdatad. To check this run dxdiag and look at the display tab. You will see the directdraw accelleration. If this is off, turn it on. If it say's 'not available' see if you can upgrade your driver.
But...if you are like me, the video card was just outdated. I bought a new video card for around $35, installed it and presto...coverflow is working perfectly.

Coverflow view of Finder flashes white

Any ideas what might be causing this, or has anyone else the same issue?
Basically whenever I have Finder in the coverflow view, and double click to open a folder, the black space of the coverflow view flashes white.

And I've run the extended hardware test with no problems reported, but this just looks like another little thing.

The icons may just take a while to show up. Restart your computer and see if the problem's resolved.

ITunes 9.1, MacBook Pro, 10.6.3, coverflow view of music is corrupt?

I have updated to iTunes 9.1, on my MacBook Pro running 10.6.3.
The coverflow view of the music in my library appears to be corrupt somehow.
It only shows the list of music and the list extends all the way up into the usual coverflow area and into the controls area as well. I cannot even scroll up all the way to the top of the listing for some reason.
The coverflow view of the other types shows up and works just fine.
Any help?

No one else has this issue? No advice on cache files perhaps or plist files to move out of the iTunes folders?

Coverflow view bug

In coverflow view, when you encounter a song without an entry in the album field,
it shows as Unknown Album. Fine, but then when you flip it over, it includes EVERY song with no album entry.
I don't think this is intentional.....

It's not a fault, it's a feature!
Well, I don't really subscribe to that view, but your issue is a subset of a bigger design flaw, namely the failure to fully implement the Album Artist field and identify individual albums (within iTunes & iPod) by unique combinations of Album Title & Album Artist. If you look closely you'll probably find you've a "Greatest Hits" album in coverflow. Flip it over to find the tracks and it will have every track from every Greatest Hits album you have. Until Apple take this flaw on board and fixes it the only thing you can do is trawl through the libray giving each album a distinct title. E.g. "Artist, Greatest Hits" or "Greatest Hits (Artist)". FYI iTunes will also ignore a leading "The " when comparing names so "The Album" matches with "Album". From this you can see that all the untitled albums will be treated as one in CoverFlow. Simplest solution is probably to go for "Untitled #1", "Untiled #2" etc. Another annoyance related to this is that compilation albums are usually credited to the artist of the first track rather than whatever value you put in the album artist field.
Daft question, but don't any of Apple's programmers use thir own product? This fault/feature is so obvious & irritating I can't see why it is ignored.

Coverflow font issue

Hey guys... I'm having an issue w/ the font in Coverflow.

You'll notice that the font that displays the song title and album name seems to be very pixelated.
What can I do to fix this?

Weirdly, that does work in the full-screen version of coverflow view -- and the font stays okay-looking even after I put the size back to small. But doing that seems to make the cover art look even worse (more pixelated) than before and the changes don't stick around if I exit full-screen mode.
I also sometimes see distorted cover art. It'll just turn into a bunch of coloured vertical lines until I delete it and re-download it again.
Not a huge deal, obviously, but annoying.

Edited name not shown in coverflow view

I'm using iTunes 7 with no problems at all. When I purchase music, I capitalize every word in the tracks' titles. On one album I purchased today, however, the edited name doesn't display capitalized in coverflow view. It display correctly in list view and in the lower left corner of the screen with visualization turned on. I've tried restarted iTunes and I've tried using Onyx to clear our the application caches and restarting my MacBook Pro. Nothing's worked so far. Any suggestions?

Anyone having problems with CoverFlow view in iTunes 8?

Okay I've heard some rumors about iTunes 8.0 on Windows having errors in CoverFlow view with music, music video, TV show, audiobook and movie related album artwork not showing up correctly. I am writing to ask if anyone has noticed a problem like this on iTunes 8.0 for Mac?
Everything still seems to be working fine for me in iTunes 7.7.1 as much as I'd like to upgrade to iTunes 8.0 don't want to risk problems developing. CoverFlow works just fine for me on my Mac Mini running OS X Tiger 10.4.11 within iTunes but don't want to risk upon upgrading to iTunes 8.0 it causing problems.
Every time a major new update to iTunes or other software by Apple comes out it can cause problems. I remember when I installed iTunes 7.0.0 afterwards iTunes kept crashing as soon as I tried to open it. I know there are problems on the Windows side but don't want to risk messing with my existing iTunes software if it breaks, or any feature within it like CoverFlow breaks down.

you should just reinstall it again, usually it fixes bugs on its own.

is it possible to add the external hyperlink in these emails instead of the internal hyperlink?

ITunes 7.1.1 freaking out on coverflow view

Like the subjact says, I downloaded 7.1.1 last night, and now when I go into coverflow view (windowed or full screen), when the mouse is over the window, it starts freaking out and counting down (jerkilly, not smoothly) all the way back to the first album.
Does anyone know what the problem is?

Adjusting volume from coverflow view

When I"m playing an album in coverflow view can I adjust the volume? I can't figuer out how

Viewing issues with Adobe Acrobat Professional 8

We have Adobe Acrobat Professional 8 installed, and we are having some issues when viewing pdf documents. Once a Word document is converted to a pdf document, some of the hyperlinks are appearing thicker (almost bold) than others, and some of the text appears lighter/darker than the rest of the text. There is no pattern to this, it is all very random.
When we print the pdf document, everything looks correct, so this only happening when we view the document on the computer.
Can anyone provide a suggestion on how to fix this issue?

I am attaching screen shots of 1) a page where the hyperlinks appear thicker and 2) the document properties pages showing the fonts.
We have tried creating it with both the Adobe PDF Maker and the MS PDF tool and it happens using both. I am thinking that this really is a viewing issue, because it prints out fine. Also, it looks the same no matter what the zoom setting is.
Please let me know if you have any other advice.

Coverflow Display Issue

I'm using coverflow on a network drive (1gb link) of pictures.
Finder has loaded all the thumbnails/previews and everything looks ok.
However when you scroll to the next picture, you get a brief flash of the blank ? icon, before the picture shows. Very disconcerting.

Shuffle when in Grid or Coverflow View

So I have my collection set to display in either grid or coverflow views, and when I want to shuffle through one playlist, I cannot get that to happen. If I go to the top and select shuffle under controls and put it to album, it will not shuffle that album. When I set it to shuffle by groupings, it will shuffle all the albums by a single artist, but not only a single album. If I have 3 albums, I only want to listen to one, but I want it to shuffle that one. Does anyone have a solution to this? Thanks.

glad to know that switching to list view is a quick fix for the time being.
i'm not sure what the cause is, but it seems like the search field is being cleared periodically. perhaps when iTunes updates podcasts? i have no confirmation of that, though. however, skipping ahead through a filtered list on shuffle works fine, but letting it play over a period of time always results in jumping back to the full library.
i've also noticed that the search field is cleared any time that you view another source (even in list view). this didn't used to be the case, and although that behavior is probably classified as a feature not a bug, i'm guessing this buggy behavior is directly related.

Album artwork not displaying for all albums in Coverflow view

Very interesting problem I'm having. All of my music has album artwork assigned to it and can clearly be seen in the preview pane at the bottom left of the iTunes window. However, not all the albums show up in the new Coverflow feature in iTunes 7. I've been trying to figure out what might be different about these images that would cause them to not show up. Also, the albums that don't show up in Coverflow view don't show up on my iPod nano either; all the other ones are fine though. Any ideas?

I'm experiencing the same. It is funny, I can definitely not see something the displayed (or not displayed) graphics have in common. Some were fetched from the iTS, some bought from iTS, some fetched from other locations ...
At first I thought that it might be because of my old but brave little iBook, but if you see the same on an G4, this is probably not the reason.
My library is on an external hard drive connected via FireWire, and it is quite big (almost 15,000 tracks).
Any help is appreciated

Coverflow works by clicking the Coverflow view and then selecting the file. I've checked with Pages and Keynote both work perfectly. Perhaps you would post more info.
