CPS Simple File Deployer corrupts XLSX and DOCX files when copying to server. Solutions?

When Contribute Publishing Service Simple File Deployment copies XLSX and DOCX files from our staging server to the live production web server, it is corrupting them. The resulting file on the live web server is a few bytes different in size. I published a 9015-byte docx file to our staging server using Dreamweaver (or Contribute). The resulting file on the staging server opens correctly and remains 9015 bytes. Then, using CPS Simple File Deployer, I deployed the file from our staging server to our live web server. The resulting file on the live web server is 9017 bytes, and it won't open. Something similar happens with XLSX files. It works fine with XLS, DOC, Html etc. Well, there is an issue with dependent files unless I synchronize with Dreamweaver, but that's another story.
Once File Deployer has corrupted the files, opening them brings a message, such as "Excel has found unreadable content in filename.xlsx. . . ". With Word, it says "The Office Open XML file filename.docx cannot be opened because there are problems with the contents . . . The file is corrupt and cannot be opened." Sometimes the docx files can be recovered, but that doesn't help.
When I take the same original docx file and put it on the web server with an FTP program, it remains 9015 bytes and opens successfully on the live web server.
For several reasons, such as many users updating the website with Adobe Contribute and not let them use FTP directly to the live server, we need to keep the staging server and use File Deployer (or something) to deploy the changed files from the staging server to the live website.
I read somewhere that the programming code the uploads files can have problems and fail to work properly with Office 2007 files. I don't have access to CPS's core.ctc and deployfile.cfc files, and I don't have Cold Fusion.
Any suggestions?

Select the extension (for example DOC, or XLS) of the file that is slow to open.
In the Details section, click [Advanced], and another dialog box will open.

I am working with a small office that has 3 Windows 7 Pro PC's. Two of these PC's have shared folders that hold Word and Excel files and all 3 of the PC's have drives mapped to these shared folders. When browsing these mapped drive in Windows
Explorer and double-clicking a file 1 of the computers takes about 30-50 seconds to open any file with a .doc or .xls extension. It opens .docx and .xlsx files in a couple seconds though, it also open PDF files very quickly. The other 2 PC's
have no trouble any any type of file. I have tried many things over the last couple weeks to get this fixed. I have added the file locations as 'trusted locations' in the Trust Center and added a couple Registry tweaks to the SMB/ lanman workstation
and server. 2 PC's are running Office Pro 2010 SP2 and the other is Office Pro 2013, the one having the slow access is running Office 2010. Has anyone come across this problem and have any advice??

Opening .doc and .docx files in Pages

I've been trying to make pages a default application to open .doc and .docx files instead of Textedit, but couldn't find a way?

I have installed BusinessObjects XI 4 SP02 on server 2008 R2. BO Client tools with sp02 and Patch 8 is also installed.
When tried to install BO Server patch 8 (ENTERPRISE02P_8-10009484) I get this error;
"Some installation files are corrupted. Please download a fresh copy and retry the installation."
while unzipping, WinRAR window throws below message in red;
CRC failed in dunit
\crystalreports.boe.clientactions.java.webpath_bundle-4.0-core-64\content.cab
I have tried twice with fresh copy downloaded on same server and still can't pass this error.
Loading latest patch such as patch 10 is last option since all client machines here are on patch 8.
Has anyone seen this behavior?

Hi,
I'm installing an updated version of Dashboard Design (SP04 Patch 0 - includes FP3). However, during the extraction of the installation file, I get the following message :
"Some installation files are corrupt.
Please download a fresh copy and retry the installation."
I tried to download the application again from SAP Service MarketPlace but the same message rises during installation.
The downloaded file is XCELSIUSENT04_0-20006661.exe
Did anyone manage to correclty install this version ?

I deployed the ear file.Now i try calling http://localhost/myapps/test.jsp ??

This is right provided you have installed the webserver & app server
on the same machine and the port number for the web server is 80 by
default.

when you have a large number of images/css/javascript/static(html/pdf/doc) files. It takes some of the processing load from your app server and also reduces the network traffic (otherwise traffic must flow between webserver and weblogic as well). it is also reasonably trivial to configure cache/modification/etags headers from a webserver and they are probably more featured than a weblogic server (e.g. to turn on gzip for static files dynamic is just a setting in the webserver but probably needs a custom filter developed in weblogic).
Again this applies if you already have a webserver (normally because your firewall policy dictates this approach). If you are considering whether to have a webserver at all then there are different considerations.

If the same website is opening each time you launch a browser (Safari?) hold down the shift key as you launch to prevent previous pages from opening.
Have a look at your settings in Safari > Preferences. Especially General and Privacy.
Reset Safari to remove cookies and other stored data.

Have a look at your settings in System Preferences > Security & Privacy.

It seems that you file has become corrupted.
One thing often tried first is to create a new document and File>Place the corrupted one to see how much may be rescued that way.

Problem viewing .xlsx and .xlsm file in DMS using Display from Archive Link

We are using IXOS as a content server for storing the documents through SAP Archive Link.
We are not storing any documents in SAP DMS.
The client has an requirement to manage .xlsx and .xlsm documents.
1. xlsx - We defined a new document class xlsx under SAP NetWeaver ..-> ArchvieLink and made the required mime and sheet settings. This allows to upload a .xlsx file to IXOS server succesfully (using Check in Archive) link.
But whenever we try to view the file using "Display from Archive", the browser gives a warning message that the file is in different format than xls. Do you want to still open (Standard Excel application message). On clicking yes, the file opens in .xls format instead of .xlsx.
The client doesn't want to change the format to .xls. What can be done to preserve the .xlsx files.
2. xlsm - Any clue as to does SAP ECC 6.0 support this file type for DMS? And if how the config settings are to be done?

based on your description I think that maybe SAP note 1289314 could help here and made sure that the local copy also has extension XLSX or XLSM.

Thanks.For reading the text content from PDF files I have had moderate success with the PDFBox library. docx is an XML format, so you can use a SAX parser to read those. Search for "java docx" using Google to get some hints. There is also the Apache POI project, but the Word support in that API is sketchy at best; the project page openly admits that it is not actively developed.

Simple Edits to Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop files

We need to be able to make simple edits to Photoshop and Illustrator files -- e.g. fixing typos. I am hesitant to buy a copy of both programs at over $1000 when we will be using 0.01% of the program!
Desire is to open, make edit, save in original format.
Anyone know a way?

Bridge CS5 is Corrupting Raw and JPG Files Right Before My Eyes

I am using Bridge CS5 on a Mac to work on Raw files from a Canon camera. The files all looked good in the cameras review, and looked good when downloaded to the computer then the files started to corrupt and become unusable one at a time as I watched. They became all white or lines of color. Not all of them corrupted yhough (about 225 of 1100 did though). I eventually worked the uncorrupted files and even turned them into JPGs and sent them out. The next day I pull up the pics in bridge to see if they are still bad. All of a sudden files I opened and worked on yesterday started to corrupt one after another. Both the JPG and Raw files are corrupt and unusable even though they worked yesterday. It only happens when in Bridge. What is going on? This is riduculous.

Thanks for responding. What happens is I highlight a large group of files then click on open with Bridge or in Bridge I go to the subdirectory with the files. All the files are in a filmstrip on the left side of the screen. All of a sudden the file that I am viewing becomes corrupt (that is it turns into multiple horizontal lines of colors. Then I can watch as it happens to one file after another. I would compare it to when you quickly view film strips that were just uploaded and the initial thumbnail is blurry and then slowly all the thumbnails get clear as they process. But here they appear to already be fine thumbnails but then turn into the files with horizontal lines or sometimes just 30% or so so of the pic is visible and the rest is white or gray. When I try to open it the file cannot be opened because it is corrupt. It happens to both the RAW and the JPG file (I shoot in Raw+JPG). The first day it happened to about 200 of the 1200 files. So I was able to process the 1000 good ones in Raw convertor and create JPGs with no trouble. The next day I open all the files in Bridge again to see if the bad ones are good now and files I had already opened and were perfectly fine in RAW converter start to corrupt one after another like the ones did the day before. So I doubt it is the card or hardware it only happens in Bridge. Bridge must have the capability to do something to the files. It isnt making XMF files so thats not it, it is actually corrupting the RAW and JPG files. Have you ever heard of that. But this happened to Windows and I use MAC.....but I do use a 7D like them. I still wonder if Bridge just doesnt work well with Canon 7Ds or something like that. The above thread never found a solution. Maybe someone from Adobe has heard of this from others and discovered a reason or solution. Until then I cant trust Adobe products at all....which really sucks after how much it cost me, but whole shoots lost is worse, I guess.
