Create a countdown

hi
i want to create 2 differnt countdown. i have tried so many scripts and variations allready but failed.
1st one is a 10.00 minutes countdown that goes down very fast and ends whithin 12 seconds. 2nd is a simple 100-0 countdown in 12 seconds as well. they start and end at same frames.
i want to make them both in as3.0 and then place them in an existing fla.
never did it before and saw some stuff on the web but couldnt manage with what i found.
thanks.

yap your works bueatiful . i was looking up for other scripts in my fla.
except of what i end you there are only stop actions and the action of the
changing number that you gave me last time:

  • How to create a countdown sequence?

    Does anyone know of a way to create a countdown for use with an video background - that is, to count down the minutes before an event begins?
    You can assume i'm on a shoestring budget - something free would obviously be best.
    Thanks,
    Nathan.

    What Piero hasn't mentioned is that his generator is excellent!
    You can customise its size, colour, font etc. and place it anywhere on the screen.
    I used it last year (with a suitably modified technique devised by Piero) to put numbers on a slideshow I had done in FCE.
    Actually it was more a "library" of 1,350 slides which needed identification digits on the screen.
    With Piero's generator it only took a few minutes to number every slide consecutively from 1 to 1,350.
    Doing it manually would have taken days!

  • How to create a countdown?

    Dear list
    I am looking into ways to create a countdown until the launch
    of a website (days - hours - minutes - seconds )...
    I guess I could try looking at the user's clock but that one
    could not be on time...
    Another way I was thinking would be to get the initial time
    from the server and then count down with a setInterval from
    there...
    Anyone ever done that? Any insights? other ways of achieving
    this? Do's and don'ts?
    Thanks in advance
    Cheers

  • How to create&reference countdown timer on a column in Apex ?

    Hi all,
    I have a table with some info about online auctions and in there we have 2 columns : Start Date/End Date.
    I want to create a report based on that table in which to show the details about the auctions and the "Remaining Time" (as End Date - Start Date)
    For this specific column,on the last 5 minutes of an auction, I want to have a count down timer that will be refreshed every seconds, thus reflecting the time left.
    Has anyone tried this before? If so, I would really appreciate some advice or an example ...
    Thank you,
    Ana-Maria

    Hello Ana-Maria,
    You need to incorporate a Javascript timer to achieve that kind of behaviour. Just Google aorund (something like [http://www.javascript-page.com/timer.html]).

  • Easiest way to create a countdown timer

    I need to make a countdown timer for a wedding webpage that I'm, but having trouble finding a good code for it. Anyone know a simple way to do this? don't need anything real complicated, just simple numbers that count down will work

    Hi,
    You can download the files to any location on your computer. Then open dreamweaver, open the HTML page within the downloaded files. Open in code + design view. Go back to the downloaded file outside dreamweaver. Copy the css and java script files to the respective website root folders on your computer. Open the index.html or any html page where you want the counter to appear. Now, the first html page you opened in dreamweaver which was from the downloaded file, check how the css and java script files are placed on the html page. do the same in your html page. then check how the counter information is placed inside the <body></body> tags.
    Save your work. launch the offline page on the browser and see if the counter works.
    All the best.

  • Countdown Timer Error Msg: "Warning: 1090: Migration issue"

    Hey folks,
    New to Flash here (using CS3), trying to create a countdown
    timer.
    Following is the error message I receive when trying to test
    the
    movie:
    "Warning: 1090: Migration issue: The onEnterFrame is not
    triggered
    automatically by Flash Player at run time in ActionScript
    3.0. You
    must first register this handler for the event using
    addEventListener
    ( 'enterFrame', callback_handler).
    Does anyone know what this means? And please "dumb it down"
    for this newbie. :)
    Following is the actionscript I'm using:
    this.onEnterFrame = function() {
    var today:Date = new Date();
    var currentYear = today.getFullYear();
    var currentTime = today.getTime();
    var targetDate:Date = new Date(2007,5,10);
    var targetTime = targetDate.getTime();
    var timeLeft = targetTime - currentTime;
    var sec = Math.floor(timeLeft/1000);
    var min = Math.floor(sec/60);
    var hrs = Math.floor(min/60);
    var days = Math.floor(hrs/24);
    sec = String(sec % 60);
    if (sec.length < 2) {
    sec = "0" + sec;
    min = String(min % 60);
    if (min.length < 2) {
    min = "0" + min;
    hrs = String(hrs % 24);
    if (hrs.length < 2) {
    hrs = "0" + hrs;
    days = String(days);
    var counter:String = days + ":" + hrs + ":" + min + ":" +
    sec;
    time_txt.text = counter;
    Thanks in advance!!!

    It just means that you can't do things the "old" way. You
    have to use the
    AS3 event model, like so:
    this.addEventListener("enterFrame", enterFrameHandler);
    function enterFrameHandler(evt:Event) {
    var today:Date = new Date();
    var currentYear = today.getFullYear();
    var currentTime = today.getTime();
    var targetDate:Date = new Date(2007,5,10);
    var targetTime = targetDate.getTime();
    var timeLeft = targetTime - currentTime;
    var sec = Math.floor(timeLeft/1000);
    var min = Math.floor(sec/60);
    var hrs = Math.floor(min/60);
    var days = Math.floor(hrs/24);
    sec = String(sec % 60);
    if (sec.length < 2) {
    sec = "0" + sec;
    min = String(min % 60);
    if (min.length < 2) {
    min = "0" + min;
    hrs = String(hrs % 24);
    if (hrs.length < 2) {
    hrs = "0" + hrs;
    days = String(days);
    var counter:String = days + ":" + hrs + ":" + min + ":" +
    sec;
    time_txt.text = counter;

  • Countdown timer to NEXT WHOLE HOUR..?

    Hello.
    I need to create a countdown timer function.
    Normally that would not be a problem for me, but this timer needs to countdown to the next whole hour. As an example, if the time is 23:42 the countdown would say 17:35 (17 minutes, 35 seconds).
    When the timer hits zero, it will start from 59:59 and so on.. Always counting to the next whole hour.
    Im kind of in a jam and need this done ASAP, any help would be greatly apreciated!
    / Rasmus

    Im sorry if i implied that im a great actionscripter, im not
    What i would normally do is just grab a counter script from a google search and modify it to countdown to the correct time, but i havent been able to find a counter that counts down to the next whole hour.
    It should just be plain and simple and display the time in minutes and seconds like this: 25:14
    I found this one on google, counting down for christmas. If that could be modded into showing only minutes and seconds and of course counting down to the next whole hour, that would be awsome!

  • Quickly creating an intro to multiple compositions

    Thanks for checking out my post! He is an overview of what I'm trying to do:
    Take approximately 200 videos, insert a 10 second countdown (I have a pre-rendered video, but I don't have to use that particular one), and slow the videos down, and render them as individual videos.
    What I did before I realized a countdown was necessary for this project was drag all the clips to a new composition, apply time stretch, and use "rd_layers" to render out all the layers in a single composition. However, adding the countdown makes this more difficult, does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thank you!

    I take it that you have 200 video clips now slowed down and rendered to a single movie but you now want to insert a count down at the head of each of these 200 shots.
    That's not the way I would have approached the project at all. If there are no cuts inside each of the videos then there's a script that you can get that will look for each cut and slice up the videos into comps.
    If each of these 200 videos, which are now one longer video that is rendered, then:
    I hope you rendered to a lossless or nearly lossless codec to so that when you re-render you don't introduce a bunch of compression artifacts and spoil the look of the project.
    I hope you have some kind of easily identifiable mark or consistent time that is going to make it easy to make the 200 cuts necessary to separate the videos into individual pieces.
    The fastest way to add and render a countdown or slate to a video is to use a non linear editor like Premiere Pro or Final Cut. Most of the time a slate must contain information about the shot like the name, duration, and other pertinent information. You're going to be putting a fair amount of time into just creating the countdown and slates. Again, I'd do this in a NLE.
    Please tell us a little more about your project. Maybe we're misunderstanding what you want to do.

  • Countdown timer in FCE

    Hello there. I wonder if someone can help me. Is there a way in FCE that I can create a countdown timer (say from 5 minutes).
    I would like this over a still image or over a video clip?
    If not FCE is there any software that I may be able to use.
    Your help is appreciated.
    rob

    Last year i5m made a counter for FCE which can display minutes, seconds and frames.
    It actually counts UP but with a bit of trickery you can reverse it to make it count DOWN:-
    http://homepage.mac.com/heywood_si/i5m/archives/2005/11/
    I have the reversal instructions somewhere that were written by Piero Fiorani.
    The counter can be customised with size, font, position on screen and colour etc.

  • AS Countdown to time of date?

    I need to create a countdown timer to a date and time. I created a timer with the following code from a tutorial online. Problem is, I can't seem to figure out how to make it countdown to a time like 8am on that date. below is teh code I am working with. can anyone help me out?
    this.onEnterFrame = function()   {
        var today:Date = new Date();
        var currentYear = today.getFullYear();
        var currentTime = today.getTime();
        var targetDate:Date = new Date(currentYear,05,13);
        var targetTime = targetDate.getTime();
        var timeLeft = targetTime - currentTime;
        var sec = Math.floor(timeLeft/1000);
        var min = Math.floor(sec/60);
        var hrs = Math.floor(min/60);
        var days = Math.floor(hrs/24);
        sec = String(sec % 60);
        if (sec.length < 2)  {
            sec = "0" + sec;
        min = string(min % 60);
        if (min.length < 2)  {
            min = "0" + min;
        hrs = string(hrs % 60);
        if (hrs.length < 2)  {
            hrs = "0" + hrs;
        days = string(days);
        var counter:String = days + ":" + hrs + ":" + min + ":" + sec;
        time_txt.text = counter;

    The constructor for a Date instance is...
    Date(yearOrTimevalue, month, date, hour, minute, second, millisecond)
    So if you want to have it countdown relative to 8 AM you can add the hour designation in as well...
    var targetDate:Date = new Date(currentYear, 5, 13, 8);

  • Countdown

    Hi everyone. I suck at scripting and I need some help. If
    anyone have the time to find or create a countdown script which
    counts down in days, hours and seconds (and milliseconds if you'd
    like) towards the 8th of december this year, I would be as happy as
    can be. I'm sorry for being such a complete n00b, but that's how it
    is...
    Thanks in advance for any help.

    i think the following will be accurate but only because
    october and january have the same number of days and we won't have
    a problem with the fact that feb and nov have a different number of
    days. (so, the code doesn't generalize..):

    Show us what you have got so far. PHP has no difficulty displaying the time, but I'm not clear how you're creating a countdown timer with PHP, which is a server-side language. The normal way to do a countdown timer is on the client side with JavaScript.
