Create a Java File

Hello,
I have some java script that I embed into my html, is it possible to create a java script file with this script? This way I only have ot update the script.
I have dreamweaver and I tried to create a java file using that but when I choose to insert an applet and choose the file I create nothing happens.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Use a JS (Javascript ) file and embed it into the HTML. Use relative path to refer the JS
The script to include the JS file in a HTML is :
<script language="JavaScript" src="javascriptfilename.js"></script>
let me know if this helped you.

  • Creating a java file in the project.

    Hi
    I am using jdev 11.1.2,
    And i have created a table type in database navigator in my hr schema.Now i want to create a java file for this table type.
    In jdev 11.1.1.3 i guess i can do it by just right clicking on the type and selecting the 'Generate to java' option, but i cant find the same here in 11.1.2,
    How can fulfill my requirement now.
    Help needed .Thanks/.

    Since you have not specified the technology, i will take a dig and assue you are wanting to create a JPA/EJB project

  • How to create a .java file through a j2me program?

    I am trying to develop a small application in j2me which needs dynamic creation of a .class file. For this purpose I tried to create .java file through my j2me code, but i could not do that..I want to know whether a java file can be created on a mobile phone or not..
    I would be grateful to you on your help in this regard..

    ...develop a program xyz.java using j2me which performs the following functionalities:
    1.create a file called abc.java
    2.extract its class file...For +1+ ie to create a file (any file, no matter java or not) from j2me, device need to support File Connection specified in [jsr 75|http://www.jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=75]. If you're interested, learn the jsr API on how to create and manage needed file.
    For +2+ described as extract its class file one needs to have java compiler (javac) on device. *) If you're interested, ask for more details at [Java Compiler forum|http://forums.sun.com/forum.jspa?forumID=7]. Also, if the class file is for CLDC then javac needs to support "JDK 1.3-compliant" compilation. To create CLDC classes on device, one also needs to have a preverifier tool. Check this at Java Compiler forum if needed.
    Good luck - I think you'll need a lot of it...
    *) javac on device -- it should not only be present but also provide a j2me API allowing to invoke it for particular java file with needed options. Same applies to preverifier tool.

  • Creating any .java file

    can it be possible to create .java file from .class file? if yes then how? here basically i want to get source code through .class file , is it possible to get?

    Hi,
    It depends. Well, if you are going to use only a web application,
    then creating an .war will help. If you are using EJB's then .ear file
    is suitable. In your case, I believe .war could be sufficient provided
    the application is not too complicated. Hope this helps.

  • How to create a .java file with multiple classes

    I have all the below classes declared in a file say ABC.java under
    a common package called somepackage
    Abstract class A
    Void abstract metod1();
    Void metod2();
    Class B
    void method3();
    Void method4();
    Class C
    void method1();
    Void method2();
    In Client.Java
    On compiling the Client.Java I get errors

    Public class Client
    A a1 =new Samp(); //error undeclared class A

    As long as you have only one public class and your .java file is named after it you shouldn't have any problem.I did exactly that, but still i get the same error "Cannot find symbol"
    i have used the import command on top as import somepackage.*;

  • How to create a java file from an xml file

    anybody who can help me? i'm really trying to get this job in a hurry..thanks

    wondering if velocity template engine can help.
    a. parse XML
    b. construct bean (will XMLBeans help?)
    c. write java files (velocity may have helped here) from predefined template.
    Looking forward to other suitable solution.
    JSP to servlet is, I guess, such example.

  • Create a Java file runtime and Execute to get result

    Hi,
    Is this possible to generate a Java Class run time and execute it to get result..if yes how...any example or site reference..
    Thanks

    Yes: http://www.java2s.com/Code/Java/JDK-6/CompilingfromMemory.htm
    It would be better if you tell us what the problem is that you want to solve.
    The above may not be optimal, as it requires you provide your users with a part of the JDK (not JRE!): tools.jar, placed correctly in a jre directory, if I remember well.

    So how does it take this file

    and create these three different one?
    1.)
    <statement>
    <name>John Dow </name>
    <address>123 Main</address>

    Is it not going to just grab each element after the file tag? I'm just confused about that.

  • Calling a created Java file from an AIR application

    I've got a guy helping me out who is creating a Java file that outputs an F1 keypress to the operating system/desktop (which Flex alone can't do.
    My problem is I need to know how I can call/activate this file from within an AIR application. I want my app to be ready for when he has created it for me but I've never used Flex to call an application so I would not know what classes need to be called or if any script would be required.
    In the following simple code lets say if the Java file itself was called keypress.java (or whatever file extension a java file has) what code would need to be added in, including imported classes, to make the click of the button activate this java file?
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <mx:WindowedApplication xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute">
    <mx:Button id="KeypressButton" label="Button" horizontalCenter="0" verticalCenter="0" click=""/>
    </mx:WindowedApplication>

    I think one solution is to use a Java proxy to call the Web services.
    In the Java proxy you can have a method that accepts the user/pass and sets them correctly for the Web service.
    Then you expose that Java proxy as a data control (right click, create data control) - and then create a page that invokes that method.
    (For the basics of working with a POJO data control see: http://blogs.oracle.com/shay/2009/07/java_class_data_control_and_ad.html )

  • Creating a .bat file to compile .java files

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a .bat file to compile java files. I have created the .bat in the same folder as teh .java file I am trying to compile. I know the path is set to the proper folder to find the compiler, but I keep getting an error saying the system can not find the specified file, or can not read fileName.java. Everything is spelled correctly, and I know it works because it will compile from the command prompt. Any suggestions?

    rather than including a sourcepath, just specify the full location. Using your example, this would read like
    javac "C:\Documents and Settings\Kevin\Desktop\School Stuff\AP Comp Sci\PowerPoints\Chapter 02\Executables\Section 2.2\Facts.java"Note that everything is inside the inverted commas " "
    I tried this on a hello world Java program inside a brief case and it works fine.
    The class file is created inside the briefcase.
    If you want to create a bat file to do this from anywhere, modify your batch file to look like this:
    c:\
    cd "C:\Documents and Settings\Kevin\Desktop\School Stuff\AP Comp Sci\PowerPoints\Chapter 02\Executables\Section 2.2"
    javac %1.java
    java %1Again, you would use this as follows
    mybat FactsDon't forget to leave out the .java extension.
    This will compile the java file and attempt to run it for you.
    If you don't want it to run, leave out the java%1
    If you create other java files in this same briefcase folder you can use mybat to compile them too.
    For example
    mybat Facts2

  • Compiling / Running a Java file in JSP

    Hi,
    ok, I have a jsp page, which we will call page 1. Once I go to that page, I all I want it to do is compile a certain file.java, and then run the file.java. The user doesn't actually know that this is going on in the background. Page 1 automatically redirects the user to page 2 (also a jsp page).
    The java program that I created (that was previously compiled and ran) creates a special javascript file. After running the file.java in page #1, the java file creates a javascript file that will be used in page 2 to display a tree node (group of information).
    so, right now, I'm trying to figure out how to write the jsp code that will tell how to compile and run a java file. I was thinking about using javabeans before, but I think you HAVE to actually display the contents of the java file into the jsp (I think). Anyhow, thanks for the help!

    sorry about being ambiguous before. What I mean by
    running a java file was that I already created a java
    file. I don't want to hava my java statements inside
    the jsp file. I just want the jsp file have a command
    in it that would call a java file, tell the java file
    to compile and run. All the jsp file would do
    (hopefully) is just give commands for a seperate java
    file to compile and run. Thanks again for any help!Ok, so this other java file has some entry-point method, like main(), right? So call it...
    <%
    YourJavaClass.main(appropriateArgumentsGoHere);
    %>
    or better yet, it's an object you can use:
    <%
    YourJavaClass x = new YourJavaClass();
    x.callSomeMethodHere(withAppropriateArgumentsHere);
    x.callAnotherMethodMaybe();
    %>
    You don't need the jsp file to "compile" this java file, you'd already have compiled it beforehand, and it's class bytecode needs to be in your classpath (on the server side) of course.

  • Is it necessary to put .java file in 'bin' folder

    when ever i am creating a .java file i have to put that in bin folder then only javac compiling the file.
    otherwise its not compiling the file.
    how can i compile my java file by putting in any folder of mine?
    even if i am creating any folder inside the bin folder then also its not compiling my .java file.

    when ever i am creating a .java file i have to put
    that in bin folder then only javac compiling the
    file.That's a huge mistake. You should never do that.
    otherwise its not compiling the file.
    how can i compile my java file by putting in any
    folder of mine?Add the Java /bin directory to your PATH so the operating system can find the javac.exe and java.exe apps.
    even if i am creating any folder inside the bin
    folder then also its not compiling my .java file.Then you've got a bigger problem. You must have compiler errors that you need to read and fix in your source code.

  • Java files work but jar files do not

    Hello everyone!
    My java files run normally and I get a response that I expect (which is successful). Imagine my surprise when I collected them in a Jar and the very same files inside the jar no longer work! I get a response (still generated by my java program) from successful, it turns to Query Expire.
    My problem is, when executed as normal java programs, the expected result is produced. However, when the jars are executed, the result is expired. What is wrong? The classes and the ones in the jar are the same. Is there something different with the mechanism of Jars that make it erroneous?
    Many thanks in advance. I have been working with this for a week with no progress! =(

    Hi!
    Thanks for your reply. Here's what's happening so far:
    I created my java files using Eclipse and using the Export option, I exported them as a JAR.
    When I run my application on Eclipse with the Java files in tow, the output I expect is Done sending: wait for responses now
    Received response from billing api- A: null(0), C: 13, E: Account already registered
    Register: Failed: 1 Failure(s)Now, on to the JAR file.
    I executed the JAR file using the command java -jar <jar name.jar>
    Here's the response:
    Done sending: wait for responses now
    Received response from billing api- A: null(0), C: -1, E: Query expire w/o response
    Register: Failed: 1 Failure(s)My program communicates with a database and this generates the reply that should be received by my program. My ordinary Java file gets the expected output, but the JAR does not.
    Is it possible that the JAR file somehow slows down the transaction? The reply sent by the database isn't received by the JAR -- somehow, the message gets lost.
