CREATE A NEW TABLESPACE THAT IS LIKE AN EXISTING TABLESPACE?

Hello,
Does anyone know how to create a new tablespace, e.g, bk_USERS, based on an existing tablespace, say USERS tablespace? The EM has option 'create like' to accomplish this, but I'd like to use the statements from command line.

I am using Oracle 10g Enterprise and would like to create a new tablespace based on the structure of the existing tablespace. In other word, is it possible to copy existing tablespace and have the newly created one under the new name?
I tried something as follows but it does not work:
CREATE TABLESPACE new_tablespace_name LIKE existing_tablespace_name DATAFILE '$ORACLE_HOME/oradata/datafle SIZE 10M;

Thanks, Gary. I should have mentioned that the previous slide moved and scaled several groups of objects. So, at the end of the slide's activity the groups of objects were in different positions and were of different sizes than they are when I return to the slide. So if I copy the opbject sn paste them onto the next slide, I still need to get them to the right place, and scale them. That's tricky, especially since text objects don't scale like graphic objects. Under the Assets menu there is a tab called “Styles”. My question is how do I create a new Style that I can apply to an object??? A link to a tutorial or something like that would be useful because I can’t find anything!!! Thanks in advance for helping me eliminate this frustration!!!

Have a look at the menu file/process multiple files. You can choose to add your signature (or the caption) to the image and export the new files.
If that solution is not flexible enough, consider using the very affordable (12$) Elements+ add-on which offers a 'meta stamp' script :

Otherwise, have a look at other free and good solutions like Faststone Photoresizer, Xnview...

Is it possible to create a new tablespace whose datafile will be on a filesystem instead of ASM?

All of our datafiles are located in ASM disks (we have only one ASM diskgroup). Now, we are running out of space in this ASM diskgroup although we have a planned ASM disk expansion, but it will not be happening anytime soon.
Now, I need to move partitions in order to be able to resize the database files considerably. When moving partitions I need to create a new tablespace where the partitions can be moved to (in filesystem), and afterwards, be moved back to original tablespace (in ASM). But since our partitions are so big (in GB), I don't have enough space in ASM. I only have a filesystem which has enough space to do the above. My question is: Will there be no problem if I create this move tablespace in this filesystem having in mind that my database uses ASM? This is just temporary until I'm done with this. Unfortunately, I don't have a testbed where I can test this.

Ok. Thank you very much. I created new tablespace in a filesystem without any problem neither an error. Now, our DB is a mix of ASM and filesystem, but as I've said earlier, this new tablespace is just temporary until I finish the relocation of partitions and back.

can anyone suggest any possible reason?

Cause: Failed to allocate an extent for cluster segment in tablespace.
Action: Use ALTER TABLESPACE ADD DATAFILE statement to add one or more files to the tablespace indicated
Pls check out the disk space. The command you issued is working for me and for all. Might be some errors in your disk.

Extending using a wireless connection always results in a performance compromise.
If the Express is going to extend using a wireless connection, then the Express will need to be located about half way between the AirPort Extreme and the general area where you need more wireless coverage. The more that you have line-of-sight between the Extreme and Express, the better the network will operate.
Remember......the Express can only "extend" the quality and signal speed that it receives, so it needs to be located where it can get a very good signal from the Extreme. Although Apple cleverly uses the term "extend", a more accurate term for the Express would be "repeater".
If the Express will extend by connecting to the Extreme using a permanent, wired Ethernet cable connection......highly recommended for best performance.....then the Express can be located exactly where you need more wireless coverage. There is no signal loss at all through the Ethernet cable, so the Express gets a full speed signal no matter where it might be located.

Is there a way to create a new Calendar that replicates all events from a subscribed calendar ? Mobile Me is great but my most important Calendar is technically in the "Subscriptions" category so it doesn't get pushed to me iPhone. I want to create a new Calendar and have it just automatically copy all the events from the subscribed calendar and keep up to date with that one.

I subscribed to a Holiday calendar that I also wanted to be published, and the only workaround that I found was to export the calendar, delete the subscription, and then import the calendar.
This obviously will only work with a subscription that is not often updated/subject to change.

How do I create a new document that is 8" X 8" and with Print as the document profile?

Page 47 in Chris Botello's Adobe Illustrator CS6 of Cengage's Illustrated Series asks this for the Independent Challenge for Unit B. "Create a new document that is 8" X 8" and with Print as the document profile." As long as its CMYK it's "Print". Right? If I go and change the size the profile goes custom. I'm a Graphic Design Student at a local university. If there are others who have used this book, Please giver me a holler. I wonder what they want there? You think they want to change the "Print" profile? That hasn't been covered. I'm on CC not CS6 but haven't found differences in that area. Probably just not written very clearly.

I have a very old appleid that I've used for store purchases. I had a MobileMe account that was upgraded to iCloud. I'd like to merge the account data. I've been hoping Apple would come up with a solution to this, but they haven't yet.
So, I'm wondering if I should make a new account of some sort and try to transfer data to it from both of the old accounts. It sounds like that can't work.
I suppose then that the only thing to do is manually transfer all the information from the old MobileMe account to the primary appleid (which is some sort of iCloud + Store combination, no?). That might not be that hard to do, but it is somewhat high risk.

Windows 7 Ultimate isn't installing on my iMac. Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition

I have a 21.5" iMac (Late 2012) running OS X Mavericks. I'm trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate via Bootcamp but whenever i get to the setup part it goes wrong
These are the steps I followed
I selected all the options since I didn't have the drivers or an install disk
it copied the Windows 7 iso image, downloaded the support software, and saved the support software to the flash drive (8GB)
I selected a partition size - I gave windows roughly 100GB
and I let it install
Right now I'm at the part where it says " where do you want to install windows? I selected the bootcamp partition and formatted it. It now says
"Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the Setup log files for more information"
WHAT DO I DO?

I had to read the apple instructions several times before they started to make sense. I burned my iso onto a DVD and had the required USB for support software. Are you trying to use the single USB method?

I would like to give you a workaround for your problem.
If you have BO Server installed on your machine then do the following
-> Go to 'Central Configuration Mangager(CCM)'
-> Right Click on 'Server Intelligence Agent(SIA)' and click 'STOP' then
-> Double click on 'Server Intelligence Agent(SIA)'
-> Go to 'Configuration' Tab
-> Click 'SPECIFY' on 'CMS System Database Configuration' button then
-> Select any one of the 3 options(depending on ur requirement) and connect to ur Database (Firebird) by giving the credentials of ur database.
-> After doing all the necessary things Restart the SIA by clicking the buttion START on CCM and now check if u r getting Firebird database while creating a new connection.
This is just a workaround. I hope this would b helpful to you. Please try this and see if its useful to you.

I know that BO universes can be linked to Sybase, Access, Oracle databases, etc. but i don't know if it is possible to create a universe with a connection to a Firebird database .
Is it possible? In Universe Designer I try to create a new connection using the Connection Wizard, then I press Next and then it displays a list of databases nodes, but I can't find an option for Firebird. Which option should I select? Can I select Generic ODBC datasource?
Has someone else used Firebird for his/her universes?

When I try to create a new BW object that begins with Z (infofuente, infoarea, component application), I skip the following error.
Namespace''is not a valid namespace BI
Message no. R7017
Diagnosis
Namespace''must be entered in both the BI RSNSPACE table and the basic table TRSNSPACE or the view V_TRNSPACE. You also have to enter the relevant generation namespace '& V2' in TRNSPACE table. This value is taken from table RSNSPACE.
Both namespaces must be set to 'Changeable' - providing they are not empty.
Response System
You can not edit or create an object in this namespace.
Procedure
Use a different name.
Or contacct your system administrator. He / she can switch to the namespaces' Changeable 'using SE06 transaction, or - if they do not already exist - enter them in the table above named using sm30 transaction.
If the namespace '& V1' is empty, then the problem is with the generation namespace '/ BIC /'.

Try to create the objects again and take the screenshot of SU53 when you get the error and see the authorization object for which you are getting the error here.
It is possible that you dont have development authorization.
Also the issue could be that the system is not configured to create the objects begining with Z.
Check this with basis as well.
