Hi,
where can I create a Sequential number of RF menu.
I need it to define the menu management.
thank.

Hi,
If you see, the menu management, in mobile data entry.
Copy the main menu option from that, there u can see the serial numbers also based on the no. of menu options

  • Sequential Number into Dimension BPC NW

    Hi expert
i hope that you can help me, i need to create a sequential number as a Member into a one Dimension in order to identify any load data in our planning process, this number have to be create when the user send data to applitation by data input schedule.
Please any idea to do that.
    Regards

    Thanks again,
I have also created another property in order to group all the values I want to consider, but the script logic delivers an exception and it does not work.
    Example:
    Dimension: DIM
    ID       PROP1    GROUP
    A        10           Y
    B        13           Y
    C        17           Y
If I need to multiply by 2 the value in the dimension PROP1, I have tried the following:
    *SELECT(%VAR%,"[PROP1]",DIM,"[GROUP]="Y"")
    *WHEN DIM
    *IS<>""
    REC(EXPRESSION=%VAR%2)
    *ENDWHEN
However, the system delivers an exception error: UJK_VALIDATION_EXCEPTION: Unknown DImension Name in Keyword:¨3
In the other hand the following gets saved and processed correctly:
    *SELECT(%VAR%,"[PROP1]",DIM,"[PROP1]="10"")
    *WHEN DIM
    *IS<>""
    REC(EXPRESSION=%VAR%2)
    *ENDWHEN
I am using BPC NW 7.5 SP03 but I was not able to find an OSS Note regarding this.
    Many thanks in advance

  • How to add 16 bit message sequential number to the byte array

    hi
iam trying to implement socket programming over UDP. Iam writing for the server side now.I need to send an image file from server to a client via a gateway so basically ive to do hand-shaking with the gateway first and then ive to send image data in a sequence of small messages with a payload of 1 KB.The data message should also include a header of 16 bit sequential number and a bit to indicate end of file.
Iam able to complete registration process(Iam not sure yet).I dnt know how to include sequential number and a bit to indicate end of file.

    HI Rolf.k.
Thank you for the small program it was helpfull.
You got right about that proberly there  will be conflict with some spurios data, I can already detect that when writing the data to a spreadsheet file.
I writes the data in such a way, that in each line there will be a date, a timestamp, a tab and a timestamp at the end. That means two columns.
When i set given samplerate up, that controls the rate of the data outflow from the device, (1,56 Hz - 200 Hz),   the data file that i write to , looks unorderet.
i get more than one timestamp and severel datavalues in every line and so on down the spreadsheet file.
Now the question is: Could it be that the function that writes the data to the file,  can't handle the speed of the dataflow in such a way that the time stamp cant follow with the data flowspeed. so i'm trying to set the timestamp to be  with fractions of the seconds by adding the unit (<digit>) in the timestamp icon but its not working. Meaby when i take the fractions off a second within the timestamp i can get every timestamp with its right data value. Am i in deeb water or what do You mean!??
AAttached Pics part of program and a logfile over data written to file

I am working on the application for the client to insert their vendor informaton to our database. We have a refvendor table and vendorid is primary key. • Auto-Create a form number when form is opened.

    Hello,
I was wondering if I can auto-create a number to populate in sequence every time I open the form?  For example, Microsoft Word, Excel auto populates the date when the form is open.  I'd like the same functionality when creating a form to auto-populate a number counter each time the form is opened.
    Any ideas?

That depends on how the PDF is being created and served to users.
If you are simply putting an interactive PDF form on a file share or a web site, you could attach script to a form event to generate a unique id but it will not be a sequential number. To create a sequentially unique id you will have to call a server process which maintains the sequential number through a call to a persistent store (a database, XML file, flat file, etcetera).
If you are generating the PDF form using LiveCycle (server solution), the server process used for generating the form could call a process as described above.

  • Sequential Number for Non-Approved Forms

    Hello-
I'm building an InfoPath form that is submitted to a SharePoint library.  There is an approval workflow created in SP Designer.  Once the form is approved, it is moved to another document library and then deleted from the current one.  Our
goal is to assign a sequential number (RQNumber) to each form.  In InfoPath I have created 2 fields:  One that looks in the initial form library and grabs the max RQNumber and another that looks in the other form library and grabs the max
RQNumber.  Then I have a field that takes the max of those two numbers and adds 1.
The issue I'm having is I can't get the formula to grab the max RQNumber from the first form library.  I'm guessing this is because the form hasn't been approved yet, so it doesn't pull from the form until it's approved.  Is that correct?
Is there any way around that?
    Thanks!

    Hi Nivek,
Question: At what stage is the RQNumber assigned to the form in the first form library? Is it during submission of the form or during approval? If you are deleting the document from the first form library, arent you getting the max RQNumber same everytime?
If this number is assigned during form creation, you should be able to lookup in the form library from a data connection to the same form library. During Form load, set a field to have max of RQNumber. Hope it helps.

  • Sequential number visible to user

Is it possible to have a field which shows a distinct sequential number for each form? I want to set up a Purchase Order system where a distinct number is visible to the person filling out the form online.

This is not supported by Adobe FormsCentral.  This is something that you would be able to achieve using pdf forms created in Acrobat Pro.

  • Sequential Number SharePoint List

    Hi
We are attempting to create a custom number that will automatically increment and decrement depending on the position of a new list item.
For example, if I have a custom column named Sequence No. and I create a new item number 3, then all items from number 3 onwards should be automatically +1. The user should be able to capture the sequence number and have this value recalculated
    for other list items.
The ID of the item cannot be used because there may be a situation where a user deletes an item. We have used this URL{SiteUrl}/_layouts/Reorder.aspx?List={ListId} for the reordering of items and we made the hidden order column
available however if we change the position the order number is not always consistent - 200,250,275,300,400,450.
We assume that an additional list to contain the numbering maybe a solution. Any suggestions for workflow and Jquery would be greatly appreciated.

How do i create a styled spry mysql driven menu using dreamweaver cs4?
I have cs4. I gave up on using MS sql as a datasource. I finally got a php successfull connection in my PHP web page.
I would like a nice video tutorial for creating a dynamic menu.
I guess i can style it by attaching a css file to the page. Are their any already designed css files out there in some online area?
i am not a good designer. so i would like to simply have a collection of menu_style.css files and choose what looks good.
But first i need to build the spry menu from the mysql database.
    Any help is apprechiated.
My first choice was to maintain the data in an MS sql server file. If i could directly attach to an ms sql datasource then that would be the best option.
I dont think i want to have to re-generate an XML datasource each time i add or modify the menu. I would like to maintain the MS Sql or mySql file instead.
If i could generate an XML datasource from the MS Sql database then I may even prefere that, but i have spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to do that and not had any success. So i prefere working in MS sql but would settle for mySql if i had to.
    Thanks

Then remains the manner in which you create the XML file which can be found here http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/samples/utils/query2xml.html
One you have your menu up and running, you will be able to apply styles and effects

Can I create a dynamic number of inputs during runtime?
    Oracle 11g
    Application Express 4.0.2.00.06
    Here is my problem:
We have a table that holds metadata about files (hardcopy or softcopy files).
We expect we may need more columns in the table at some point and don't want to modify the table or the application.
So in order to do this I would like to create:
A table called TBL_FILE with the columns:
TBL_FILE_ID               NUMBER                (This will be the primary key)
TBL_FILE_NAME          VARCHAR2(1000) (This will be the name of the file)
A second table will be called TBL_FILE_META with the columns:
TBL_META_ID               NUMBER               (This will be the primary key)
TBL_FILE_ID               NUMBER                (This will be the forign key to the file table)
TBL_META_COLUMN     VARCHAR2(30)     (This is what the column name would be if it existed in TBL_FILE)
TBL_META_VALUE          VARCHAR2(1000) (This is the value that record and the 'would be' column)
So a person can have as much meta data on the file with out having to add columns to the table.
The problem is how can I allow users to add as much data as they like with out having to re develop the page.
Other things to note is that we would like this to be on a single page.
I know how to add we can create multi-row inserts by using a SQL Query (updateable report),
however the TBL_META_VALUE column in the TBL_FILE_META will sometimes be a select list and other times a text box or number field.
So I don't see now a SQL Query (updateable report) would work for this and I can't create an array of page items at run time can I?
Any idea's how I could accomplish this? Is there a better way of doing this?
Also is there a term or a name for what I am doing by creating these 'virtual' columns in another table?
I found this method when looking at Oracles Workflow tables.

Creating Page Items dynamically is not available. You will have to create excess items and hide/show , etc. But you cannot change the Item Type. All in all, too many limitations in this approach.
    >
Other things to note is that we would like this to be on a single page.
    >
The 100 item limit will hit you if you go with extra item on page. With Tabular Form that should not be a limitation, unless you are exceeding the 50 item limit of APEX_APPLICATION.G_Fnn items, and the 60 column limitation of Report region with "Use Generic Column Names (parse query at runtime only)" of Dynamic region.

I know how to add we can create multi-row inserts by using a SQL Query (updateable report),
however the TBL_META_VALUE column in the TBL_FILE_META will sometimes be a select list and other times a text box or number field.
    >
If the type if item is variable it only means you need a way to store the item type. Meta Data of the Meta Data.

So I don't see now a SQL Query (updateable report) would work for this and I can't create an array of page items at run time can I?
    >
Yes, you can do it. Updatable report/ Tabular Form query can be constructed from the Meta Data using PL/SQL Function Returning SQL Query . It will be a bit of coding in PL/SQL where you use the Meta Data and the Meta Data of the Meta Data to piece together your SELECT with the right APEX_ITEMs. It might have a performance penalty associated with it, but will not be a serious degradation.

Any idea's how I could accomplish this? Is there a better way of doing this?
Also is there a term or a name for what I am doing by creating these 'virtual' columns in another table?
I found this method when looking at Oracles Workflow tables.

I guess that is just a good TNF. It is the Master-Detail Design Pattern, that sound more modern ? ;)

  • Tax report for Spain - Sequential Number

The layout that I have prepared for the Tax report (RFUMSV00, Tx: S_ALR_87100833) shows the column "Sequential number." Thus, I have a relationship without jumping straight to the numbering of all invoices with VAT.
The system assigns a "Sequential number" for SAP document number. The "problem" arises when there is a bill, a SAP document, with more than one tax indicator of VAT. Then some lines appear in the Declaration of VAT with the Sequential number field in blank and that is because the number of the document (this bill) is already listed in the Declaration in another line with its own Sequential number .
How do you work with it? Can I somehow avoid that remove this Sequential number blank?

    Hi (again)
After reading the SAP note number 1628714 ( https://websmp107.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=01100107900000000342&_EVENT=REDIR&_NNUM=1628714&_NLANG=E ), I think that there isn't an SAP-standard solution.
    Best regards.

I am having problems interacting with Microsoft Office programs since the last update:cannot create a pdf through the 'print' menu in exel and both Word and Exel docs sent in Mac Mail end up being received as .dat files.
Both these situations have cropped up on my MacBook Pro since the last update.
    Thanks for your help.
    Cheers
    Bob

The 'Winmail.dat' problem has been extensively covered in these forums, I would search for that (a Google search works well) and unfortunately I have not seen the pdf print problem before, but assuming the software is current and functions normally (other than the pdf print problem) I have no suggestion other than the obvious (but time consuming) re-installation of Office.

    Hi..,
Once you have created a menu bar, you enter the individual menu entries. Each menu can contain up to 15 entries.
A menu can contain any of the following:
Function names (with function code and text)
    Submenus (pull-down menus)
    Separators
You may include submenus up to three levels deep.
Menu functions that logically belong together are grouped together using separators. This makes the menu easier to use. Separators also make long menus easier to read by dividing them into smaller parts.
    Defining Menu Functions
To add functions to a menu that is already open in the Menu Painter:
Open a menu list in the menu bar by double-clicking the menu title.
The system opens the menu. The menu entries list contains the two columns Code and Text.
In the Code column, enter a function code (this may be up to 20 characters long).
If you want to enter a function code that is longer than the input field, you must first change the displayed length of the field in the user settings. (Choose Utilities ® Settings ® User-specific.)
Enter the function text in the Text column.
The name you enter here appears in the menu at runtime. You can also determine the contents of function texts at runtime (see Defining Dynamic Function Texts).
Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each item in the menu.
    Creating Cascading Menus
To add a cascading menu (sub-menu) to a menu:
    Leave the Code column blank.
Enter a menu name in the Text column.
Double-click the cascading menu to open it.
The system opens the menu entry list for the cascading menu.
Complete the menu as you would any other.
    Inserting Separators
Place the cursor on a line.
Choose Edit ® Insert ® Separator.
If you want to insert a separator between two existing menu entries, place the cursor on the line before which you want to insert the separator.
    Editing Menu Entries
You can cut, copy, paste, and delete menu entries.
Place the cursor on a line.
Choose Edit ® Entry ® Cut (or Copy, or Paste, or Delete).
If you double-click a function code, the Function Attributes dialog box appears. Here you can, for example, change the icon assigned to a function.
