Create a table editable in Web dynpro

Hi,
I want create a Web dynpro in Abap where there is a table editable. I 'm a beginner of web dynpro anyone could tell me how to do?

Yes , it is possible through dynamic programming in wdModify of the View.
You can do this ,for example, using cell variants.

Using this code you can control even specific cells in the table and not only columns.

i am new to web dynpro for java.i have already done an application
"Creating a Web Dynpro Application Accessing ABAP Functions" this application
have good document on sdn.
this application is working fine .
Now i got an requiremnt for creating a purchase order in web dynpro for java.
in normal report when i call the bapi the parameter are the header, headerx,item, itemx is an internal table.

Hi Gopal,
I'm not sure what is your issue, it seems you're not really understanding how the Model structure works in WDP.
I'll assume few things here, like you know how to Import the Model into the WDP, and you know a little bit about what Java Classes will represent this Model in the Project.
Try these steps:
1. Import your Model into the Project;
2. Open your Component Modeler, create a Data Link between your Model / Component (Or Custom Controller, as you prefer)
- You can also use the "Apply Template -> Service Controler"
3. Map the Input of your Model as the Main Node, check the Input Tables (you prob. will have two, POITEM = ITEM - POITEMX = ITEMX)
4. Also, check the Return box, since this is BAPI return (You can use to display Backend messages)
Now you have the Model mapped into your Controller, you need to develop the Java function to execute it.
1. Create a new Input class, like
BAPI_PO_CREATE1_Input purchaseOrderCreateInput = new BAPI_PO_CREATE1_Input();
2. Bind your Input Node, in the Controller, with your Input Class;
wdContext.nodeBAPI_PO_CREATE1().bind(purchaseOrderCreateInput);
3. Set any Import parameters you need:
purchaseOrderCreateInput.setEXPPURCHASEORDER(XXXX);
4. To Add references to the Table, you will perform something like:
First, you need to know what "Structure" you need to add (POItem Structure) - You have a Java class that represents that Structure..
POITEM_Element poItemElement = new POITEM_Element();
poItemElement.setPROPERTY();   /// Set your Properties
purchaseOrderCreateInput.getPOITEM().add(poItemElement);
5. Execute your Input,
purchaseOrderCreateInput .execute();

Creating a Sales Order using Web Dynpro

Hi SDN,
I want to create a Sales Order using Web Dynpro application. For that i have used "Bapi_Salesorder_Createfromdat2" as a adaptive RFC model. Every thing is fine and i could able to create a sales order for a single line item. But my intension is to create a sales order for multiple line items. So in the "Intialview" i have used a "Table" UI element to pass multiple line items. When i execute this application i could pass only single line item from this table. The table UI contol is not allowing to enter the second line item in the second row of the table. Can any one suggest me to solve this problem.

You need to create new element for the model node manually. For example: Create button "New item" and in action handler put someting like described here:

Hi Kaleemullah,
To create OTR Text, T-Code is SOTR_EDIT. If you run this transaction then one screen will appear. There you can choose Long Text or Short Text based on your
Text. You can choose language also. In Text field you can enter your text. You can put WDYV in your Object Type field. In Text block Length can be increased to 25 as it may be problem if language conversion of Text happens. You must fill your package field and save the OTR.
I hope you can be able to create OTR Text now.

hi,
your question is very unclear and does not relate to performance.
SRM uses webdynpro ABAP so the recommendation will not help.
Do you need a technical UI element?
Or the application table where the business data of an UI is stored???
If it is the later, then you can use the SQL trace, change to element you are interested in, and trace it. The table should appear in the trace in connection which an UPDATE command. Still a bit cimbersome.

Hi,
When u create the table, choose apply template option>choose table>select the context node to be bound. In the Table Binding Wizard, choose the editor as Input Field.

How to set first_visible_row for a table on a web dynpro

How can I set the attribute first_visible_row in a table which I placed on a Web Dynpro?
I need the table to scroll automatically to a specific row depending on a date. So I'm calling a method using this date, but how can I change the attribute of the table?

Follow these steps,
1- Create an attribute with char1 in the view context e.g first_vis_row
2- go to the table properties in view and bind the property first_visible_row to this attribute.
3- NOw go to the wddoinit method of the view...
4- read the internal table and find out the index of the row which you want to set as first row. As in ur case you want a specific date in first row. So read the internal table and findout the index.
5- now write this code, say your attribute name is first row inside node flag1...(you can change it for yoru requirement)

lo_el_flag1->get_attribute(
 EXPORTING
 name = `FIRST_ROW`
 IMPORTING
 value = lv_first_row ).
here change the lv_first_row to the index which you got after raeading the internal table.
suppose it's
lv_first_row = 4.
lo_el_flag1->set_attribute(
 EXPORTING
 name = `FIRST_ROW`
 value = lv_first_row ).

Table Control in web-dynpro for java

I was working on a web-dynpro application where I has to display a table control.
Here I am listing my Requirement.
1) A table with 7 columns are to be displayed.
2) 5 of the columns are Drop down list where 3 of the 5 drop downs have dependency of the pervious drop down selection.
3)other 2 columns are input box.
4)The list for the drop downs come from a bapi.
5)the user is to be allowed as many rows he can
6)when he clicks save button the values are to be stored using table of another bapi

I have better solution, I will explain solution for your design and then I will explain new design.
Solution to your problem
How many values each drop down contains? If its not large, execute all drop downs in the beginning of the application and store them in HashMap with dependency key and value as the list of populated values.
- Create a top Node
1) A table with 7 columns are to be displayed.
Create 5 Value Nodes with simple type attributes under your topnode. Set singleton property for each of the node to false. And attach them to the Drop Downs. Populate the parent drop down and non dependent drop downs in the begining itself.
2) 5 of the columns are Drop down list where 3 of the 5 drop downs have dependency of the pervious drop down selection.
Attach onSelect events and based on the current selection of the values, check your pre populated HashMap and fill the node with new values.
3)other 2 columns are input box.
This is normal, create two nodes with simple types under Top Node.
4)The list for the drop downs come from a bapi.
As mentioned previously all these values are pre populated. so you need not to call the BAPI for each request.
5)the user is to be allowed as many rows he can
Provide Add,Delete buttons which dynamically creates rows which means your context elements.
6)when he clicks save button the values are to be stored using table of another bapi
Read the values from nodes and send it to other BAPI.
New Design
As per your requirement create a form with 5 drop downs and 2 input fields( for dependency you can use the logic mentioned in the previous design). Provide Add,Delete and Update Buttons under the form. And also create a Result table with 7 columns with simple attribute types. Once user enters some values in the form and clicks on Add button then add a new value to the Bottom result table which doesn't have any drop downs. When user needs to update any row on selection of the row populate the values back to the form, then user clicks on update button. Same logic applies to delete also.

You can create Button in your ALV table column with below code
DATA lo_button TYPE REF TO cl_salv_wd_uie_button.
CREATE OBJECT lo_button.
 CALL METHOD lv_value->if_salv_wd_column_settings~get_column
 EXPORTING
 id = <your column name>
 RECEIVING
 value = lo_system_select_hdr.
 lo_button->set_enabled( value = abap_true ).
 lo_button->set_text( value = 'Avaliable List' ).
 lo_button->set_tooltip( value = 'Avaliable List' ).
 lo_system_select_hdr->set_cell_editor( value = lo_button ).
And for button click action,
Create a method (say SHOW_DATA( ) ) with on_click event handler.And when you click button on your ALV table, SHOW_DATA( ) method will trigger.

Dynamic table columns in web dynpro abap

Hi,
In my current project I have got a requirement whose solution I am not able to figure out.
My requirement is this:
I will have a table containig budget owners name(since its compensation management in HR).There will be a table popin inside this table on the click of the personal number of the budget owner. Now the table popin will have another table with all employees name under that particular budget owner.
The problem is that the table inside the popin will not be having fixed columns.Actually the columns will be coming from a standard java web dynpro application (say in the form of an internal table).
My requirement is this how can this be handled?Can we include all the possible columns in the node(which i bind to the child table) and make them visible/invisible during runtime? or create a dynamic node and assign it to the table(but in this case a node needs to be bound to the table during design time,what to bind?) ?
Can u please help along with code snippets.

I have a tabstrip.Indise one of the tabs is my main table and inside one of the columns is the popin.Inside that a transparent container and finally the table inside that.

How can I open a popup after clicking in a table cell using Web Dynpro?

Hello,
I am using Web Dynpro to create an application and I would like to click in a table cell and then a popup with confirmation appears.
I already have a table with the information that is displayed in the browser. In fact, I just added a column with images that are print icons.
My problem is that I don't know how to implement the method to set the action: when clicking on the print icon, a popup appears.

To quickly create dialog boxes of a standardized layout (for example, for the confirmation of changes to current data) you can call the CREATE_POPUP_TO_CONFIRM method of the IF_WD_WINDOW_MANAGER. How to create one complex project in web dynpro

i have 2 transations.i m going to create one project for one transaction each.but in my carse there are 20 views in each project.i want to distribute all the views to 10 developers.i mean how to distribute the different view or application or component for 0ne project among all the developer....this is my doubt that how to clubbing together all the views,applications and compoents altogether in web dynpro later.

Hi ,
One way is dividing your project into DCs.
1. You can keep your model in one DC.
2. Create different DCs for different functionalities and place the views under appropriate components
3. Expose the components as public parts so that the views can reused by the developers.
Please go though the documents on DCs for creating public parts and resuing DCs
