Create ADF Dynamic row

Hi to every one
Here i am using two adf table in same screen .... if i enter value 4 in one filed of first adf table then it should create 4 new rows in that second adf table ...(create new rows based on input value from someone...) i dont kknow how to create this one ............

Hi,
just create a method binding for the CreateInsert option of the VO used onthe second table and call it 4 times. However, be aware that the current row focus will be on the 4th row. Users will have to set the selected row before editing the table row. The web model isn't really suited for creating empty rows in advance

    Oracle supports feedback form metalink was; "What you exactly want to approach is not possible in Htmldb"
    I can guess that it is not
    exactly possible since I looked at the forums and documantation etc. but
    couldnt find anything similar than this link; "http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/htmldb/howtos/tabular_form.h
    t". But this is a very common need and I thought that there must be at least a workaround?
    How can I talk or write to Html Db development team about this since any ideas, this is very important item in a critial project?
    I will be able to satisfy the need in a functional way if I could make the
    select lists in the tabular form dynamic with the noz_id;
    SELECT vozellik "Özellik",
    htmldb_item.select_list_from_query(2, t2.nozellik_deger, 'select vdeger

    SELECT

    'HTMLDB_ITEM.freetext(' || rownum || ', NULL) ' || vozellik
    WHEN (t2.nozellik_deger IS NOT NULL AND t2.vcihaz_oz_deger IS NULL) THEN
    'HTMLDB_ITEM.select_list_from_query(' || rownum ||

  • How to create multiple new rows in ADF Table?

    Hello,
    being new to ADF Faces/BC I managed to display data in an ADF Table and create new entries using the "CreateInsert" operation (one at a time).
    Now, the next task is to create multiple new rows at the same time, set some default values and display the new rows in the ADF table. Then the user will enter additional data and commit the new rows.
    Where do I step in? In the EntitiyImpl? Can this be handled declaratively or do I have to implement custom method(s) in the AM?

  • Dynamically creating policies for Row-level security (RLS)

    Hi everybody,
    I’m looking for suggestions on how to configure Row-level security (RLS).
    I have a large number of tables (about 500) and about 100 database users. Each user must see a portion of the data, filtered on a specific field. The field used to filter the data is a Client Id (let’s assume for simplicity that this field is present in all tables and has the same name everywhere).
    Some users must be able to see just one client, other users must be able to see a group of clients, and some other users must be able to see all the clients. The association between Users and Client Id’s is stored in separate database tables.
    I’d like to avoid having to manually create a policy for each table, so I’m looking for a solution that makes use of pl/sql programs to create policies dynamically.
    Has anybody already implemented anything similar? Can you share your approach? Of course I’m looking for the easiest / most robust / most flexible way to implement this.
    Andrea

    It sounds like you would want a single policy function and that you would then apply that policy function to all 500 tables (at least given the simplifying assumptions you make in your question). If your policy function simply returned the `WHERE` clause
    client_id IN (
        SELECT client_id
          FROM table_mapping_user_to_client
         WHERE user_id = <<something that identifies the current user>> )Then you would simply apply that policy to all the tables
    FOR x IN (SELECT * FROM dba_tables WHERE <<condition to find the 500 tables>>)
    LOOP
      dbms_rls.add_policy(
        x.owner,
        x.table_name,
        'Restrict by client_id', -- name of policy
        <<owner of function above>>,
        <<name of function above>> );
    END LOOP;Justin

  • How to create adf component dynamically from backing bean

    oracle.adf.view.rich.component.rich.RichPopup popup = new oracle.adf.view.rich.component.rich.RichPopup();

  • Creating a New Row Using an ADF Iterator Binding without primary key value

    I dropped a Create action onto a DataAction which forwards to a UIX entry page which contains an enabled Commit button. Part of the primary key value is held in a session bean and it is also current in another view on the model side, but I am unable to access this value to set the EntityImpl primary key attribute.
    Upon submission the following error message is returned from the model:
    ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("GTR"."EMPLOYMENT"."ACCOUNT")
    I would like to accomplish this with databinding and not create a custom create method on the application model. Is there a way to update the binding value for the new row in cache before the submission? Any advice would be welcome.

    I should add that I want the user to enter every attribute value, except for the account number. It must be possible to create a new row and have the account number supplied to the bindings another way.

  • Create ADF Table at runtime

    Hi,
    I am trying to create ADF table at run time. Initially I tried to include all the tables at design time. Then I turned the setVisible property to false. Then , based on the condition, I turned it to true at runTime, so that to give the effect of the table getting created at run time.
    But now, I would like to know , is there any option to extract the table component from the ViewObject or from the iterator, at run time.
    say,
    I have my ViewObject like this.
    DCIteratorBinding dcIter=(DCIteratorBinding)bindings.getControlBinding("Table1View1Iterator");
    ViewObject vo=dcIter.getViewObject();
    Now, I have a panel, 'pb1'. I am able to add input boxes at run time. Now I want to add the table that corresponds to the above View also at run time.
    Could someone pls give me the suggestion..
    Thanks,

    well, in that case you can create table dynamically from managed bean. I am giving you a sample code which add row dynamically to a table on click of "Add" button.
    jspx code:
    <af:document id="d1" title="XXXX">
          <af:form id="f1">
            <af:commandButton text="Add" id="cb1" action="#{MyBean.add}"/>
            <af:table varStatus="rowStat" summary="table"
                      value="#{MyBean.collectionModel}"
                      rows="#{MyBean.collectionModel.rowCount}"
                      rowSelection="none" contentDelivery="immediate" var="row"

  • JClient/ADF dynamic isAttributeUpdateable problem.

    Hi,
    JDev 10.1.2 JClient/Struts/ADF
    I have a same Entity based VO that is used by my Struts and JClient application.
    In my Entity I have a flag field that enables/disables input in other fields:
    The problem is that the JTextFields are not refreshed when the flag is changed and the the fields are not enabled or disabled.
    My question:
    What is the best method to call in the model so that the JClient panel re-reads the IsAttributeUpdateable method?
    The main problem occurs when creating a new row.
    I found a solution by calling for all fields with dynamic IsAttributeUpdateable value:
    this.populateAttribute(ADDRESS1LATIN,this.getAddress1Latin(),true,false,false);
    in the set method of the flag but I have following side efect:
    When submitting a new created row in my Struts app. with errors, the pending changes on those fields are reset on the first submit.
    On the second submit pending changes are displayed.
    I tried a JClient solution by calling:
    this.getPanelBinding().refreshControl();
    when the checkbox state is changed but it doesn't work, the previous state is recalled.
    More info:
    Entity extract:
    Entity Address:
    Flag IsInLatinLang 0/1, default is 0
    If set to 1 then following fields are enabled:
    AddressPart1Latin
    AddressPart2Latin
    public boolean isAttributeUpdateable(int index)
    switch (index)
    case ADDRESS1LATIN:
    case ADDRESS2LATIN:
    case CITYLATIN:
    case CONTACTNAMELATIN:
    case NAMELATIN:
    if (this.getIsInLatinLang().equals(Constants.NUMBER_YES))
    return true;
    else
    return false;
    Any advice will be appreciated.

  • Dynamic Rows in Report Painter

    Hello everyone,
    I'm new to report painter and m using the SAP Library help  material to understand report painter. I've one query though i.e
    Is it possible to create a report hrough report painter with dynamic rows ? if yes then pls let me know how.
    Regards
    Anik

    Thank you.
    See I have the below Rows
    Total Revenue
    Cost2
    Cost3
    Direct Cost
    Gross = Total revenue - Direct Cost
    Gross % = (Gross/Total revenue ) * 100
    I have Columns as with basic Key figures and Formulas
    Year(basic key Figure)
    Year+1(basic key Figure)
    Total = Year + (Year+1)
    Its giving me correct values in case of Basic Key figures and not in the formula case.
    It giving error when there is formula both in Row and Column.
    In the above case last row and last colum. Only Column formula is getting implemented.
    Here for example I have mentioned 4 rows and 4 columns.. But I have 15 Rows and 30 columns .. out of which 15 rows and columns have formulas...
    % Rows are problem.. which gives me errors... I tried using Special cells, but I am not 100% sure how to use them.
    I would be very thankful if you can help me out.. Please

  • How to create a dynamic form with bind variables :schema & :table_name

    My application has two LOV's, one to select a schema, and the next to select a table within that schema. I then have a button which passes me to a report which displays the data in that table.schema.
    I now want to create a link to a form where I can edit the record based on the rowid of that table.schema, but it doesn't appear that I can create a dynamic form where I pass the schema.table_name and rowid. Is this possible? Can anyone advise how I can do this? The form builder only wants a fixed schema/table name.
    Thanks in advance.
    Stuart.

    Hi Stuart,
    In this sort of situation, you will need to be a bit creative.
    I would suggest a pipeline function called as if it was a report.
    Then you can pipe out the required fields.
    Since you will have a variable number of fields, you could use two of the multi row field names for your field names and values.
    Then after submit, you can create your own procedure to loop through the fields (stored for you in the Apex package) and update the table as required.
    Not very specific I'm afraid, but it should work.

  • How to create a dynamic table (repeating) with static header?

    Hello
    My purpose is to create a table which should be dynamically filled at runtime depending on the number of elements in the datasource($record.list). If the list is empty, the table shouldn't be displayed at all.
    I created a subform which holds a table, ticking "Repeat Subform for each data item" and I set the binding of the table elements to $record.list[*].myelement. This works fine so far.
    For the table header I created a second subform with a table having exactly the same size like the other table with text fields that contain the table header texts.
    My problem now is that I would like to control the display of the subform which serves as table header row depending on whether $record.list is empty or not.
    What's the best way to do this? How can I have access to the datasource for a form?
    Thank you very much for your help!!!
    Best regards
    Bettina Hepp

    Hi,
    Instead of creating the header row outside the table.
    Create it inside the same table as header row.
    So when you create a condition then automatically applicable for the header row also.
    This is the best option.

  • How to create a new row for a VO based on values from another VO?

    Hi, experts.
    in jdev 11.1.2.3,
    How to create a new row for VO1 based on values from another VO2 in the same page?
    and in my use case it's preferable to do this from the UI rather than from business logic layer(EO).
    Also I have read Frank Nimphius' following blog,but in his example the source VO and the destination VO are the same.
    How-to declaratively create new table rows based on existing row content (20-NOV-2008)
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/13-create-with-params-169140.pdf
    I have tried:
    1.VO1(id,amount,remark1) and VO2(id,amount,remark2) are based on different EO,but render in same page,
    2.Drag and drop a Createwithparams button for VO1(id,amount,remark),
    3.add: Create insertinside Createwithparams->Nameddata(amount),
    4.set NDName:amount, NDValue:#{bindings.VO2.children.Amount}, NDtype:oracle.jbo.domain.Number.
    On running,when press button Createwithparams, cannot create a new row for VO1, and get error msg:

    Hi,CM,
    I'm really very appreciated for your quick reply! You know, today is Saturday, it's not a day for everyone at work.
    My principal requirement is as follows:
    1.select/check some rows from VO2, and for each selection create a new row with some attributes from VO2 as default values for VO1's corresponding attributes, and during this process the user may be cancel/uncheck or redo some of the selections.
    --so it's better to implement it in UI rather than in EO.
    2.it's better to implement this function with declarative way as in Frank Nimphius' blog.
    --little Jave/JS coding, the better. I only have experience in ORACLE FORMS, little experience in JAVA/JS.
    In order to get full information for the requirements of my use case, can take a check at:
    How to set default value for a VO query bind variable in a jspx page?
    (the end half of the thread: I have a more realworld requirement similar to the above requirement is:
    Manage bank transactions for clients. and give invoices to clients according to their transaction records. One invoice can contain one or many transactions records. and one transaction records can be split into many invoices.

  • Problem creating a new row when using tabbed regions

    I am new to JHeadstart and ADF and have been using the evaluation version of JHeadstart (in JDev 11.1.1.3) to judge its efficacy for a new significantly-sized application. As part of that evaluation I have created a small application (you can do this with HR schema using say the Departments table) with a single entity and VO. On JHeadstart I have then placed some of the fields into multiple Item regions within a Tabbed region on the same page and below the Group (layout style Table, Table Overflow Style below With Splitter). Existing rows display fine and I can view the data on the separate tabs.
    However, if I try to create a row, I can fill in the data on the main region, but if I fill in data on the first tabbed region I cannot switch to the next tab without an error being generated.
    e.g. using Departments - fill in DepartmentId and DepartmentName on main region, fill in ManagerId on first tabbed region and try to switch to second tabbed region to fill in LocationId:
    Missing mandatory attributes for a row with key null of type HRModule.DepartmentsView1
    Attribute DepartmentId in HRModule.DepartmentsView1 is required.
    Attribute DepartmentName in HRModule.DepartmentsView1 is required.
    If you save, then you can navigate.
    You can also demonstrate something similar (different error message but probably the same root cause) on the myJHSTutorial demo. If you navigate to an employee off the regions page and try and create a new employee (using the '+' button below the 'Employees' label), then the tabs are not refreshed and any attempt to change the tabs results in an error
    Failed to validate a row with key oracle.jbo.Key[999 ] in HRModule.EmployeesView3
    Attribute Salary in HRModule.EmployeesView3 is required.
    Salary must be between 6000 and 12000 for this job.
    The JHS devguide does not help. Any thoughts? I can send the HR sample if you wish.

    OK, I was able to reproduce this. The problem is that when you switch tabs, a partial page request is send to the server which does not include the items filled in the table row itself, hence these items are not updated in the underlying view object row.
    Solution is to have a partial trigger at the table or group level listening to tab events. We will add that to the next release, but you can also apply the fix yourself by adding the following lines to the stackedRegionContainer.vm template:
    #if (${JHS.current.pageComponent.tableLayout} && !(${JHS.current.pageComponent.hasOverflowInline}))
    ## when creating a new row in a table, and using overflow right/below, when switching overflow tabs
    ## the items filled in the table itself must also be processed as part of JSF model update phase, to
    ## prevent required item error when clicking another tab in overflow area
    ## we can enforce this by making the whole group listen to tab events
    #ADD_CUR_GROUP_PARTIAL_TRIGGER("#REGION_ID()Tabs")
    #end
    Add these lines just before the line starting with
    <af:${elemName}

  • Error while creating VO dynamically and assigning it to Table Region

    Hi,
    I am getting the below exception while running my OAF page
    oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: Programming error. Row (oracle.jbo.server.ViewRowImpl@1e) must be of type oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OARow.
    I've created a dynamic VO using createViewObjectFromQueryStmt(), and used setViewUsage() on messageStyledTextBean of my table.
    Couldn't find anything related to the error on forum.
    Any sort of help is appreciated.

    Check in Corresponding VORowImpl ---
    change the Import Statement -- from -
    import oracle.jbo.server.ViewRowImpl; // 11i
    to
    import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.server.OAViewRowImpl; // R12
    Hope This will help Out..
