Create an iview from a program/transaction

Hi experts,
I have a requirement for you.
I would like to call a Program from an iview in my netweaver portal.
The transaction is RSD1 to maintain master data of an object.
When I check the details of the screen I have a number of program under the transaction :
"GPDCB8EYF77KKGRUEREVIB2UNVA"
When I try to execute this program on SE38 transaction I get the selection screen to maintain my master data.
This is really what I would like to have under the portal.
The problem is that I don't find how to execute this program from the portal.
When I try to launch my iview I have the next popup which appears :

Hi ,
You have to follow the below steps to execute the T-Code in portal.
1.You have to create a system and configure it in portal which will connect you to the back end system where the T-Code presents.
2.You have to add a system alias for this created system.
3.Create a iview with the template SAP Transaction iview and select the required system alias from drop down while creating iview.
3.Give Tcode parameter.
Now you can preview the iview in portal.
Also you can test the t - code under system admin>Support>SAP Application -->SAP Transaction
then from drop down the correct system alias for your back end system and select SAP GUI Type and then go.

Create DMS document from direct object transaction instead of CV01N

Dear Experts,
I have raised an issue for the same thing in past and got helpful reply also. However it is not working here. I have searched enough but did not get satisfactorily answer.
My requirement here is to create and store DMS document directly from the object attached to DMS document type instead of CV01N e.g. create PR ME51N, create project CJ20N etc.
So far I have done the required configuration to get create option in transaction while entering DMS document number. I kept document description field as an optional for respective document type and created and assigned role in Define profile step. Number range is internal. So I think all necessary configuration in place. Now problem here is when I am clicking on create easy document icon, it ask me to select document type and file from local machine also. But nothing is happening afterwards and document is not getting created and stored. Transaction return on screen without any number and so. Please help me out. Did I miss anything?

Select the document type in question,navigate to "Define object links".Please verify if the following values have been maintained:
Screen no-233
When new version-1
Create document-1
Document version-1
Additional functions-checked
Post this,re-test the scenario and share the results.Also,do confirm if you are able to create documents of the above document type using CV01n transaction successfully.

I know there is a feature whereby you assign asset classes per material group and then you create assets from within the PO. I never used it though
Let me tell you one thing or rather ask you. Will you as a finance consultant be willing to let a MM guy create the assets??
Or will a MM guy be willing to create it?? If you allow them, you should be ready for surprises.
Honestly, this is a feature not worth exploring unless a FI guy is willing to create the PO. I would suggest the creation of asset masters should be with FI only

How can you create a spoolfile from a program where have Error Message?

I have a situation where I need a report to come out - even if I have an Error or Abort Message.
I need the report so that i can email the users in a second step of a Job.
We want the CANELLED to show in the JOB queue but when that happens by doing a message with the error it does not output any spool file.
The code is simple:
   CONCATENATE c_errors
                c_error_645
        INTO z_msg_line SEPARATED BY space.
    WRITE z_msg_line TO z_output_line.
    WRITE: z_output_line.
    lv_errors = 'X'.
    MESSAGE ID 'ZX' TYPE 'E' NUMBER '645'.
The job stops, shows CANCELLED but not output to the spool file.
If I change message type to I for imfomation I get the spoolfile but the JOB queue shows COMPLETED so a Basis person will not catch the Cancelled job.

Does the email processing have to occur within the same job? Why not establish a polling process for cancelled jobs where you control the job name(s) to poll for and the linked users to email? When you find a canceled job you can read the job log messages (assuming you have logged your errors using 'S' messages and then used a final 'E' message to stop the job) using function BP_JOBLOG_READ. You could establish a spool from that (and attach it) or just embed the messages in the email body itself.
I'm not sure what your scenario is though - I would separate application errors from technical errors in your error notification process, i.e., handle error notification/emailing within your programs themselves and avoid abending jobs if possible. Are these Basis-handled errors or user-handled errors that you're talking about?

Cannot create iView from PAR file

I am trying to create an iView from PAR file. But when I select the option,
"Portal component - create an iView from a portal component contained in a deployed portal archive (PAR) file"
and click next, I get the following error.
Error______________________________________
Step 1: Portal Archive Selection
No templates to display. You are not assigned to any existing templates.
I have portal_configurator and developer roles assignmed to myself. Which other role do I need? I cannot get admin role.
Note: Other users with admin roles can create iViews.

What is your portal version details ?
In EP 7.0 you do not have the option -- New From PAR.
So to create IView from Par, you should select the option New --> IView and then there will be an option to select par file.
Otherwise
1.Check if your par file is deployed on server.
2. Check the portalapp.xml, if you have configured your components properly.

Unable to create iView from template

Hi,
I'm unable to create new iView from a template
If I try to create a new iView I get no selection of iView templates.
The step 1 of Template selection shows the message:
"No templates to display. You are not assigned to any existing templates."
I have the super_admin role but I cant see any tempates.
I checked the template folder in PCD and found my role has access to it and to the templates objects.
I have searched for an OSS but no luck.
Does anybody know a solution for this problem.

Hi,
The reason for this is in-sufficient permissions to the user on the applications folder.You can resolve this by navigating to :
System Administration -> Permissions -> Applications , right click on the folder and open permissions. Then assign the <b>content_admin_role</b> to this folder.
The issue will be resolved.

Publish to portal error when creating a iview

hi gurus,
I have done complete BI-EP integration. SSO is also working fine. But when i publish a query from query designer to portal, i am geting a error when creating a iview for the query as show below.
Error:
Java system error: call FM RSRD_X_MAP_TO_PRTL_USERS_PROXY to ProgId EPD_PORTAL_B07 on host epdev with SSO not authorized: Authentication failed.
when i manually create a BI Query iview,its working fine but to create a iview from publish to portal in query designer it is througing me error.

In iView defines the integrated view,which is going to give all integrated sourcesystems information to portal.
The Portal Content Studio provides a framework for creating iViews in 3 ways.
1.iView wizards
2.Copy&Paste actions
3.Content mirroring tools.
Creating iView Instances Using Copy-Paste
Use
You can instantaneously create new iViews without a wizard (see Object Creation Wizards) by copying existing iView instances using the portal's Copy, Paste, and Paste as Delta Link actions.
Both paste actions (Paste and Paste as Delta Link) create new iViews that are delta links instances; however, the relation of the new object to the one being copied differs. This difference is illustrated in the figure below.
■ The Content Mirroring tool can also be used to duplicate content. Delta links are generated between the original and copied objects. See Content Mirroring.
■ To view the delta link source objects and dependents of an object, use the delta link tracer. See Tracing Delta Link Dependencies.
Procedure
You use the Copy with the Paste and Paste as Delta Link actions with iViews just as you would other object types in the Portal Catalog.
For general usage instructions and a description of the commands, see Copying an Object or Folder (Copy & Paste).
As the first step you have to navigate to the right Portal Content folder, where you want to add the BI report as Portal iView.
Then you have to create a new iView using the context menu: New -> iView
Now you see the iView Wizard. In the first step you have to choose iView template create an iView from an existing iView template as source type.
In the next step you have to choose the iView template BEx Web Application iView.
Then you have to provide an ID (technical name of the Portal Content iView), a description, the iView ID Prefix and the master language of the iView.
Then you have to choose the version of the BEx Web Application. If you created the Web Template using the Web Application Designer based on SAP BW 2.x/3.x, you have to choose the appropriate option. If you have created the Web Template using the new Web Application Designer based on SAP NetWeaver 2004s, you have to choose the option SAP NetWeaver BI 7.x
In the next step you have to type in a prefix (depending on the version of the BEx Web Application) and the technical name of the Web Template. If you have used the SAP BW 2.x/3.x Web Application Designer version you have to use the prefix TEMPLATE_ID=. If you have used the Web Application Designer based on SAP NetWeaver BI 7.x, you have to use the prefix TEMPLATE= (e.g. TEMPLATE=MYTEMPLATE_ID).
In the last wizard step you can check your entries, you have made before. You can also set the flag Open for editing, when wizard completes. Then you can directly work on the BI iView to do some further adjustments.
After pressing the Finish-button in the iView wizard the iView properties show up. There you can select the property category Appearance Size. For the property Height Type you should select Automatic in order to avoid scroll bars on the portal page later on. Save your settings and close your BI iView
In the next step you want to add your newly created BI iView to a page. Therefore you have to first navigate to the page you want to add the new iView (or you can create a new page). Then you have to open the page via the context menu &#56256;&#56518; Open &#56256;&#56518; Object
To add the iView to the page you have to navigate again to the newly created iView. Via context menu you can add now the iView to the page: Right-mouse click on the iView &#56256;&#56518; Add iView to page &#56256;&#56518; Deltalink. Afterwards you save the page.
Finally you can do a preview to have a look at your new BI iView that is integrated into the portal page. Depending on the result you can adjust the page layout.
As a result you will see the BI iView on your portal page.
Before you can create a BI iView in the Enterprise Portal, the system connection and the alias of the BI system has to be defined. This can be done in the System Administration of the Portal &#56256;&#56518; System Configuration &#56256;&#56518; System Landscape
Also the user mapping to the BI system has to be maintained (in order to use single-sign on). This can be done in the user administration &#56256;&#56518; Identity Management

Hi,
It looks like a permission issue. You should check the permissions of the folder containing the system in the portal. (System Administration > System Configuration then Open Permissions on the system object). Every user who is supposed to have access to the iView should be there as End User (for instance : Everyone (group), Administrator = none, End User = checked).

Open object for editing...--> Object is a Template to Yes.
Result :
content Admin --> portal content --> <folder>new --> iview --> seleting "iview template- create an iView from an existing iView template" <next> which displays the same message.

IView from portal application in SAP Portal 7.3

I´m starting with SAP Portal 7.3 and I have developed a hello word JSPDynpage with NWDI 7.3.
I have successfully deployed it to the server and I can see my application under Portal applications, and do a success preview.
But I´m not able to create an iView from this portal component.
How do you create an iView from a deployed custom portal component?
In other words, what is the alternative way of u201Cnew iView from paru201D in the new portal version?

How do I create an iView with multiple links to R/3 transactions

Hello Portal developers,
I'm looking for a solution for displaying multiple links on a single iView or Page. The requirement is calling for several SAP Transactions and a link to an external web application from a single view. Could or should this be done using KM Navigation iView, or creating separate iViews for each link and placing them in a page?

Are the SAP Transactions fixed ?
I mean have you fixed that only these many transactions have to be displayed ?
If yes, better option would be to create separate iviews for each and assign these to the "Related Links" or "Dynamic Navigation" of a page.
IF no, that means, you want the user shall enter the transaction code and that transaction should open up in iview, then ofcourse you cant go in for the above solution.

Payment of Expense Report invoice created from credit card transactions

We are implementing corporate credit cards into iExpenses using the company pay method. When expense reports are created from aquitting credit card transactions and exported into Payables does anyone know if it is possible to pay the expense report invoice that has been created without needing to run the Create Credit Card Issuer Invoice program? The reason for this question is that I want to avoid running this program as our credit card provider direct debits our account from our bank account rather than us transmitting the funds to them and don't need to create an invoice for the credit card provider. Any assistance would be gretly appreciated. Thanks

You can use the badi TRIP_POST_FI .you can create custom table & mention the different symbolic account number & change your symbolic account based on your expense type by using the above badi. While you do FI posting your expense types will get posted in two hit two different G/L account
It will surely solve your problem.. I had same issue in my earlier project which i have done the above solution.

Printing SAP Reports (Transactional iviews) from Portal

I am having problem in printing the SAP Transactional I views (SAP Reports Output) from the Portal page. On selecting the Print Option under Menu from the SAP transactional iview page, it shows the list of the printers in the backend system. On selecting the printer configured in backend abap system and issuing a print command, it only creates a spool request in the backend system and nothing is sent to the printer itself.
I have also tried to use "PDF1" device type by creating a new output device and it does bring the contents of the report on a web embedded PDF page, hoever the characters are too small and to read and the ALV Report is no longer aligned. The line separating the rows and columns are not aligned.
Can anyone help in suggesting the best way to print contents of SAP Reports (created as Transactional i views) from the SAP Portal.

Hi Margie,
It is not necessary for a developer to have access to that area, and certainly not in a production system.
Ideally, there should be developer, test, QA and production systems, and the developer can have access to the developer system. The UI you are talking about gives access to all WD applications deployed to the AS Java, and the ability to run them as well as change some settings. But this is the domain of the administrator.

Call transaction LM05 from Z program

Hi,
I need to call transaction LM05 from a Z program, and when LM05 finishes then continue with the process in Z program. But when i use CALL TRANSACTION 'LM05' the process does not return to program Z, when LM05 finishes,it returns to main screen of 'LM05' but not Z program.
I change CALL TRANSACTION by SUBMIT zrlmob001 AND RETURN, but it happens the same, because transaction 'LM05' continuosly evaluates the system variable SY-TCODE, and therefore SY-TCODE contains code transaction 'ZXX'.
it exists a way to call a LM05 transaction from Z program, and then continue in z program after LM05 finishes?
can i create a user exit screen for transaction LM05 and use the user exit to continue with the process that i wish in Z program after call transaction 'LM05'?
I'm in SAP version ECC 6.0.

I want to share how i resolved this topic:
I searched for user exit, badi and did'nt find a correct way to solved this issue. Also, i tried to create a screen exit for transaction LM05, but the dynpro 2100 of program SAPLLMOB is used for transaction LM02, LM03, LM05 and for each one show a diferent initial screen, this logic cannot be suplied with my custom screen.
Finally, how the final option, i used a enhancement implementation to add code in SAP standard program RLMOB001, and the problem was resolved. i am in version SAP ECC6.0, in this version is posible to create enhancement implementation, and for support package and upgrade, SAP will not overwrite your custom code.
