Hi
this is a public Oracle JDeveloper and ADF forum. If you have a problem with your Applications environment, please post the question to the related Applications forum here on OTN. We don't have access to appl core on this forum and can't get you out of your problem for this reason

  • Unable to create attachment view link in jdeveloper

    Hi ,
    I am trying to configure an Attachment view link in Jdeveloper - using FUSIONAPPS_11.1.1.5.1.linux_x64 series.I followed the steps mentioned in the developer guide.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E25178_01/fusionapps.1111/e15524/ui_attachments.htm#BABFJBFH
    I am getting an error
    java.lang.NoClassdDefFoundError : Could Not initialize class oracle.apps.fnd.applcore.oaext.model.OASeedDataProperty.
    I traced this class file to mw_home/jdeveloper/jdev/oaext/adflib/Common-model.jar and added in the model project library class path.
    Please let me know if someone has faced this issue and the resolution.

  • Unable to create a view link

    Hi,

    Error occurred trying to activate the wizard pageView objects.
    Unable to find referenced object.

    I checked for these files on both the server and my local jdev.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi,

  • How to create graphs on JSP page in JDeveloper 10.1.3

    Hi all,
    Is there an easy way to create graph objects with JDeveloper 10.1.3? I have taken a look to some tutorials, but it looks like they all use the "drag/drop graph from the data control palette" method.
    E.g. I got example 88 to work from http://radio.weblogs.com/0118231/stories/2004/09/23/notYetDocumentedAdfSampleApplications.html, but I have no idea how to get the BIGraphDef1.xml object and how to link it to a set of data.
    Are there some tutorials to show how graphs can be used in JDev 10.1.3?

    Frank,
    This is what I did to implement the graphic manual, but I think, I forgot something...
    1. create a new application with projects DataModel and UserInterface
    2. in the DataModel I created a similar master/detail view as the one of Steve, this is named:
    TestModuleDataControl
    \--DepView
    __\--Deptno
    __\--Dname
    __\--Loc
    __\--EmpView1
    ____\--Sal
    3. I created a new jspx page and added a graph tag:
    <f:verbatim>
    <graph:Graph data="${bindings.DepartmentsEmployeesInDepartmentGraph}"
    imageHeight="200" imageWidth="400"/>
    </f:verbatim>
    4. in the page definitions I added
    <graph id="DepartmentsEmployeesInDepartmentGraph"
    IterBinding="EmployeesInDepartmentIterator"
    ControlClass="oracle.dss.graph.Graph"
    SeriesLabel="Ename"
    GraphPropertiesFileName="userinterface.BIGrap1hDef1"
    SeriesType="SINGLE_SERIES">
    <AttrNames>
    <Item Value="Sal"/>
    </AttrNames>
    </graph>
    5. I added also the iterator:
    <iterator id="EmployeesInDepartmentIterator" Binds="EmpView1" RangeSize="10"
    DataControl="TestModuleDataControl"/>
    6. I copy/pasted the BIGraphDef1.xml from Steve's project into 'Application Sources'\userinterface.
    7. in the web.xml file in WEB-INF I added:
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>GraphGeneratorServlet</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>oracle.jbo.html.jsp.graph.GraphGeneratorServlet</servlet-class>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>GraphGeneratorServlet</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/GraphGeneratorServlet</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    8. when I run the page, I can't see the graph and there are also no errors. I think I mis a global setting somewhere...
    Is there anything I forgot to do?
    note: if I add a new jsp page into steve's application, I do can see the graph if I perform the steps mentioned above...
    I just found out that, If I create the graph on a page which is in the root directory, then it works. If I put it in a subdirectory, it doesn't:
    - create graph as mentioned above on a page: web content/myGraph.jspx --> works
    - create graph as mentioned above on a page: web content/app/myGraph.jspx --> doesn't work...
    Does somebody know where to put a setting/parameter to get the Graph visible in the subdirectory app?

  • Create dynamic view link

    my problem is
    I build the first view link by using createViewObjectFromQueryStmt method on my application module instance ,then I build the second view link by using createViewObjectFromQueryStmt method on my application module instance,now when I use myAppModule.createViewLink(),he give me an exception about the definition of the viewLink.
    please can you explain the first parameter of the method createViewLink() and how I can get it.
    thanks in advance

    In that case, the first parameter is the name of the ViewLink which you can freely assign. Later you can retrieve the VL from the AM by calling findViewLink( name ).
    But if you create your VOs dynamically from a statement, then you probably need to use createViewLinkBetweenViewObjects() since you don't have a prepared VL definition. Haven't done it myself yet, but it should work.
    Like explained here:

  • Create dynamically View Link

    hi
    please can you explain the first parameter from the method (createviewlink(string,VO,VO)),because i want to build view link between two dynamic VO's
    it better as an example
    thanks in advance

    If that's DBTransaction.createViewLink() then the first parameter is the full def name of the ViewLink.
    For example "some.rather.long.package.path.Dept2EmpViewLink".
    So you define the ViewLink using the wizard in JDev at design time, but instantiate it according to that definition at runtime.

  • Is there a way to create a web link page in Captivate 7?

    I would like to create a source page for training that includes web resources with multiple links, but when the slide stops playing the links no longer work. At this time the links are on a PowerPoint slide and pulled into Captivate, but I have also tried it using buttons in Captivate. A work around would be to extend the time out 15 minutes or longer for the slide, but I am hoping to find a cleaner solution.
    Any ideas?

    Just ran a sample powerpoint slide with three hyperlinked webpages through Cp7- worked with a click box pausing the slide and still worked after allowing the slide to play out and end the presentation.
    Not sure what could be causing your page and text links to behave differently - if the only actions on this page are the links and a click box, I've never seen the links go inactive before. Will continue to poke around and see if theres any other answers lurking about.

  • How to create a view link between ViewObject Instance in nested AM

    Hi all,
    I am using JDev 11.1.1.0. I am a bit confused about working with nested AM
    I have found the sample #33 in http://blogs.oracle.com/smuenchadf/examples/ to solve my problem, where the link is created programmatically.
    Is it that an old example? Because it seems to be that I can create the link in a declarative way in a tab of the Application Module.
    What is the advantage of creating the link on runtime?
    Thanks

    This sample is really old.
    If you can do the link declarative just do so. I guess this was not possible in the older version of jdev.

    I created a static view object called StaticDepartments with the data from the DEPT table, but typed in statically.
    I created a normal, entity-based EmpView VO over an Emp EO.
    I created a 1-to-* view link between StaticDepartments and EmpView based on the Deptno attribute.
    I added the master/detail to the AM's data model and tested, and it worked ok.
    What's different about the way you're creating the view link here?

  • Create view link programatically

    Hi all,
    I am working on this weird requirement.
    Basically, I have to create a detail table on a search resullt table. The search result is seeded search, for Item Advance search in Oracle PIM module which is not based upon a VO. The search result table is dynamically built at run time in the EgoItemSearchHelper class and that's where they build the search result VO (EgoItemSearchResultsVO).
    Now, I need to access this VO in the controller class, and create a view link programatically between details table VO and this VO. The problem is since I do not have Impl class for the EgoItemSearchResultsVO, how do I accees the column that is the key attribute. Second I do not know how to create view link between the two VOs programatically.
    Please help it's urgent.
    Thanks

    Pratap, My problem is the seeded VO is in seeded AM and my details VO will be in my custom AM, I don't know if we can have a view link between View objects that are in different AMs.
    To bypass that problem, I tried to create a VO in the seeded AM programatically and then created a view link. Now since the AM is seeded, and I am adding my details VO to this AM programatically, I thought of creating a table also programatically on the detais VO.
    In the end it does not work, I end up getting a show button on the main table, but when I click I get an error (Cannot find <null> attribute in the EOGITEMSEARCHRESULTVO) which is the seeded VO class. Unfortunately there is no boolean variable on the dynamic seeded VO, so don't know what to put in oatablebean.setDetailViewAttributeName("") method;
    Any clues on this, appreciate all responses from the forum gurus.
    ViewObject voEmp = oaapplicationmodule.createViewObject("MyEmp", "xxuss.oracle.apps.ego.item.eu.server.DetailsOrderLinesVO");
    ViewObject voEmp = am.createViewObject("MyEmp", "xxuss.oracle.apps.ego.item.eu.server.DetailsOrderLinesVO");
    AttributeDef[] prjLinkAttrs = new AttributeDef[]{oaapplicationmodule.findViewObject("EgoItemSearchResultsVO").findAttributeDef("INVENTORY_ITEM_ID_B")};
    System.out.println("definition for attr = "+ prjLinkAttrs[0]);
    AttributeDef[] taskLinkAttrs = new AttributeDef[]{voEmp.findAttributeDef("InvId") };
    ViewLink vl = am.createViewLinkBetweenViewObjects("MyLink3",
    "DetailInv", // accessor name--more on this below
    am.findViewObject("EgoItemSearchResultsVO"), // master
    prjLinkAttrs, // department attributes
    voEmp, // detail
    taskLinkAttrs, // employee attributes
    null); // assoc clause
    System.out.println("view link =" + vl.getName());
    OATableBean tb = (OATableBean)createWebBean(oapagecontext,TABLE_BEAN,null,"table");
    tb.setViewUsageName("MyEmp");
    OAMessageStyledTextBean beans = (OAMessageStyledTextBean)createWebBean(oapagecontext,MESSAGE_STYLED_TEXT_BEAN,OAWebBeanConstants.VARCHAR2_DATATYPE,"number");
    beans.setPrompt("column1");
    beans.setViewUsageName("MyEmp");
    beans.setViewAttributeName("InvId");
    tb.addIndexedChild(beans);
    oatablebean.setDetail((OAWebBean)tb);
    oatablebean.setDetailViewAttributeName("SelectFlag"); // I just tried this, SelectFlag is not a boolean attribute though, is there a way to create a boolean attribute programatically for seeded VO EGOITEMSEARCHRESULTVO and set it here, will it help
    oatablebean.setAllDetailsEnabled(true);

  • How to pass parameter when create view link

    Hi,
    I used R12 to implement OAF. I create a VO with paramenter such as SELECT item_code,parent_item_code,month_budget_id
    FROM cux_ce_month_budget_lines_t
    where month_budget_id=:1
    But when I create VL for this VO. It seems the parameter :1 can not be passed.
    Could some one to help lookinto this?
    Best Regards,
    Eileen

    You donot need to pass parameter while creating the View Link. Once the view link is created then you assign the bind parameter to the master VO and execute the View link. The Child VO would automatically be executed.

  • Is it possible to create view link on programatic VOs

    I tried creating a view link between 2 programatic VOs but did not get a clean way to get the where clause.
    It appears that the where clause has to be dependent on the EOs which does not exist in this case.
    On creating the view link,i need the following where clause:
    VO1.col1 = VO2.col1 ( i.e. :Bind_col1 = VO2.col2)
    Is this possible ? The query getting built here is showing up as null bind variable i.e. :Bind_col1 is null
    Please suggest how to get over this issue.

    How/where do you want to accomplish it?
    Within the document? Using Acrobat? Using another application?
    Using Acrobat within the document would be possible using Acrobat JavaScript. You can access the annotation objects of your document, and you then can evaluate the properties of each of these objects. Have a closer look at the Annotation Object section in the Acrobat JavaScript documentation.
    You will look for the contents property, and evaluate its content. When you have found something looking like a URL, you can create a link (using the rect property of the annotation), and you have what you want; you might then think to destroy the annotation, as it may overlay the link.
    Hope this can help.
    Max Wyss.

  • How to create view link?

    Hi,
    Would somebody please tell me the brief steps for creating a view link.

    OAF ... Oracle Applications Framework? As in 'a technology or product question'? (See the description of this forum for reference to why I ask.)
    Please note that Oracle has over 100 products and technologies. When asking questions about the product or technology, it is important to either ask in context (the correct forum) or make sure you give lots of detail to alloow the readers to actually be able to identify the product and the platform.
