Create Checkbox with Attributes from XML file

Hi
I have some problem. I want to create some checkbox with attribute from a XML file
my Xml file look like this:
<group type="Content Relation" color="255, 255, 255" active="true">
so I want to create for example a check box with name as Content Relation, Background color is RGB(255, 255, 255) and it's checked. All of these Attribute I have readed and save them as String. My question, how can I create a Color object with the color Attribute from the XML file?
Is it better if I define my XML file like this:
<group>
<type>Content Relation</type>
<color>
<red>255</red>
<green>255</green>
<blue>255</blue>
</color>
<active>true</active>
</group>

IMO attributes are much easier to parse then textnodes
altho
<color red='255' green='255' blue='255'/>
might be easier

  • 1.6 Dynamic Photo Gallery - alt and title attributes from xml file?

    Hi!
    I would like to attach information to my gallery images from
    the XML-file used by the gallery.
    Especially the alt and title attributes for the "img
    id="mainImage"-tag would add a bit more user friendliness.
    I found
    this
    example about adding caption to images very help full and
    everything worked just fine, thanks to clear information!
    (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?forumid=72&catid=602&threadi d=1306782&enterthread=y)
    Could someone come up with an example of adding title/alt
    attributes values from XML file?
    I'm sure there are quite a few out ther who would like to see
    a solution to this ;)

    You need to add your info to the XML.
    So something like:
    <photo
    path = "travel_01.jpg"
    width = "263"
    height = "350"
    title="my title"
    alt_text="Alt Text"
    thumbpath = "travel_01.jpg"
    thumbwidth = "56"
    thumbheight = "75">
    </photo>
    Then in your detailregion:
    <img src="{dsData::large/@base}{@path}" alt="{@alt_text}
    title="{@title}" />
    I am using
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/spry_photo_album.html
    as the source of my samples...
    So, just add the data to the XML and then you will have these
    attributes available as data references.
    Hope this helps.

  • Prepopulating PDF Fillable Forms with data from XML files

    How can I get a PDF fillable form to open pre-populated with data from an XML file automatically? I've been using Adobe Standard 9.0 and am willing to upgrade in a modest fashion if necessary. I am aware of the Navigation method > Forms > Manage Form Data > Import Data. This works fine, however, my users are not smart enough to do tis much clicking and selecting. Is there an automated way to have this XML data merged into the PDF file on the fly. These files will reside on an internal local area network and will be operated on local PC's that will probably have Acrobat Reader ONLY. I have been told that the only way to accomplish this is through Java Scripting. I would prefer to do this the 'old fashioned' way of command line switches, but that does not appear to be an option. Does anyone have a sample Javascript that would accomplish what I am trying to achieve. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Sharon
    The easiest way is:
    - Open your PDF form within Acrobat
    - From the File menu, import the XML form data into the form
    - From the File menu, use Save As... to save the file with a new name.
    The new PDF will be identical to the original one, but will have the data embedded in it. Voila.
    If you want the same form to pre-populate with different XML files depending on the circumstances, or if you're generating the XML on the fly, then things get more complicated. (And more expensive.) As your consultant said, LiveCycle Forms is one option, but it is expensive (actually even more than 10K). There are other options, including Cold Fusion, custom servlets, etc.

The closest I came was to use the ImportData method, but that only lets you specify a data file if the form is signed (certified), which these aren't and don't need to be because we're using them on an internal company web page. ImportData works if there is no file name, but then the user has to navigate to and select the correct file, which we can't rely on our users to do.
    I've researched this problem for days on this and other websites and haven't found an answer (one Adobe advisor suggested purchasing LifeCycle Forms, which is not an option because it's a $10,000 software package and the company wouldn't authorize a purchase that steep). We will buy a less-expensive option if there is one. We'll even hire a consultant if we can find one to who can design a supportable solution. All suggestions will be much appreciated.

  • How to create Inbound Idoc from XML file-Need help urgently

    Hi,
    can any one tell how to create inbound Idoc from XML file.
    we have xml file in application server Ex. /usr/INT/SMS/PAYTEXT.xml'  we want to generate inbound idoc from this file.we are successfully able to generate outbound XML file from outbound Idoc by using the XML port. But not able to generate idoc from XML file by using we19 or we16.
    Please let me know the process to trigger inbound Idoc with out using  XI and any other components.
    Thanks in advance
    Dora Reddy

    Hi .. Did either of you get a result on this?
    My question is the same really .. I am testing with WE19 and it seems SAP cannot accept an XML inbound file as standard.
    I see lots of mention of using a Function Module.
    Am I correct in saying therefore that ABAP development is required to create a program to run the FM and process the idoc?
    Or is there something tht can be done with Standard SAP?
    Thanks
    Lee

  • Creating array from XML file

    Currently my application uses the following arrays to populate a map with data depending on the user's selection.
    <fx:Declarations>
    <fx:Array id="fwo1">
    <ammap:MapArea instanceName="borders" color="#FFFFFF" mouseEnabled="false"/>
    <ammap:MapArea instanceName="SE" title="SWEDEN" value="4447100" customData="{dpSE}"/>
    <ammap:MapArea instanceName="CH" title="SWITZERLAND" value="47100" customData="{dpCH}"/>
    <ammap:MapArea instanceName="FR" title="FRANCE" value="447100" customData="{dpFR}"/>
    </fx:Array>
    <fx:Array id="fwo2">
    <ammap:MapArea instanceName="borders" color="#FFFFFF" mouseEnabled="false"/>
    <ammap:MapArea instanceName="SE" title="SWEDEN" value="2000" customData="{dpSE}"/>
    <ammap:MapArea instanceName="CH" title="SWITZERLAND" value="200" customData="{dpCH}"/>
    <ammap:MapArea instanceName="FR" title="FRANCE" value="20" customData="{dpFR}"/>
    </fx:Array>
    </fx:Declarations>
    I would like to spin the country data off into one or more external XML files so that rather than being hard coded, the arrays would load the data dynamically.
    <fx:Array id="fwo1">
    <ammap:MapArea instanceName="borders" color="#FFFFFF" mouseEnabled="false"/>
    [[include/loop through data from XML file to create rest of array]]
    </fx:Array>
    <fx:Array id="fwo2">
    <ammap:MapArea instanceName="borders" color="#FFFFFF" mouseEnabled="false"/>
    [[include/loop through data from XML file here to create rest of array ]]
    </fx:Array>
    After much searching, I just haven't quite found an example that will let me make the leap from hard coding to dynamically loading the data (in large part, because of the name space declaration as part of the array element).
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks so much.

  • Basic question, how to create rtf template with a given xml file

    Hello guys
    I am new to BI publisher and I am learning how to create rtf templates using given xml fiel definitions by following the bi publisher guide
    The steps I am following is:
    1, create template using template builders, which is downloaded into MS words.
    2, In the empty template, map the xml columns with template field using BI publisher tag
    3, upload the template to BI Publisher as a layout.
    That's all I can understand.
    My question is:
    1,in which above step do I import XML file into template builder (if not bi publisher), how to do so?
    2,After template is created, how to associate this template layout with existing reports in BI Publisher, or is it necessary at all?
    3,In the template content in MS Word template builder, what should I enter other than BI publisher tags for mapping XML field to desired template field
    Or, if my understand of this process is entirely wrong, what's the right process of creating rtf template with a given XML file definition
    Thanks

    If you have a BI Publisher desktop installed, have a look a the demos,.. should answer most of your basic questions.
    (Windows) Start->Programs->Oracle BI Publisher Desktop->Demos
    Invoice Demo - good one for those with E-Business Suite
    Report Demo - Sample using BI Publisher

    Option 2: Use SAP transaction SXDA_TOOLS (Object Type BUS2032), Program Type (DINP) and Program (RVINVB10).
    Option 3: Translate the xml to IDoc so that ORDER04 / ORDER05 Idoc can be used to create Sales order (WEDI transaction).
