Create connection  exception weblogic8.1

dear friends,
i started weblogic from startweblogic.cmd its started fine, and when
i tried to open console ,it opens but only right frame is visible.
i tried following command(on a seperate command prompt.)
java weblogic.admin -url t3://127.0.0.1:7001 -username weblogic -password weblogic ping 11
the error came no connection found ,nested exception
java.net.connection error. no router is available. like this
though server is running smoothly.(i deployed my stateless ejb and
everything goes fine till deployment through weblogic builder ,when
i tried to access through client prog. then following erorr came
mentioning that java.net.CreateConnection error, i serched the net
one suggestion is to check the server through upper mentioned
command.result you knew that.
other one suggestion is to check firewall should be off, thats ok
too.
it is on weblogic81/windows xp.is there any solution. .(i checked all the classpath
related things.if having some spare time. kindly advice me how can i
solve this connection related probs.
thanks and regards

I am wondering weather WL workshop does supports this feature
if not could you explaing me the best method to do?
Aso I am looking for the webservice authorization process.
In fact we are building .NET client application and webservices on WL8.1.
I think validating userid/password at the begining of .NET client login
is the
ideal and there onwards passing the SessionID thru SOAP headers as valid
session.
Do you have any built in mechanism for this with Welgoic8.1/Workshop??

    Thanks

    In your applicaion module configurations check if you are using 'JDBC URL' or 'JDBC DataSource'. You should use JDBC DataSource. Then make sure that your deployment descriptor (menu 'Application->Application Properties->Deployment) has the 'Auto Generate ...' checkbox set.

  • Can I create connection pool by oracle oci driver?

    Can I create connection pool by oracle oci driver?My weblogic's version is 6.1 sp2 and oracle is 9.0.1.2.
    I have some trouble with connection pool created by weblogic jDriver.
    I try to read Timestamp from table and I always get the exception.It told me that ORA-00932: inconsistent datatypes.
    So I created another pool by oracle thin driver and everything was right.Then I created other pool by oracle oci driver,but something were wrong. 'Could not create pool connection. The DBMS driver exception was:java.sql.SQLException: ORA-06401: NETCMN:Invalid driver designator'
    The oci pool's parameters are below lines.
    url: jdbc:oracle:oci:@COCO
    Driver Classname: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
    Properties: user=scott;password=tiger;protocol=oci
    If I get connection directly,don't use connection pool,I can get right connection.But why didn't I create pool by oci driver?Maybe weblogic7 or weblogic8 will work good?

    create a conn pool using Oracle Oci.. Just the driverclass and url is enough
    or need any classpath settings etc..
    Thanks in advance for your quick reply.Hi. As far as driver properties, just use what Oracle says to. Any pool properties
    that we recommend for XA would still apply. Note that Oracle themselves recommends
    the thin driver over their OCI one:

  • Problem with EJB and JMS - Failed to obtain/create connection

    hello ejb and jms programmers,
    My problem is my topic MDB keep on retrieving the same message when there is a database connection failure. Maybe somebody could help me how to prevent to retrieve the same data?
    Given:
    - I purposedly turn off the pointbase database because im testing my error handling.
    - Im using SJSAS 8 as my application server.
    - My message Driven Bean of topic type.
    - Im using CMP for my entity bean
    Here is the scenario of whats happening - step by step:
    1. A separate application publishes a message to JMS queue server
    2. My MDB retrieves this message and do some processing then inserts a record (transaction history) in my database
    3. But my db is turned off or down
    4. My MDB sends a successful processing reply to the JMS queue server
    5. Then i noticed that my server.log keeps on growing so when i opened it, the record was not inserted and printed the stacktrace below "RAR5117 : Failed to obtain/create connection. Reason : javax.transaction.SystemException" (complete stacktrace below)
    6. I understand the cause of the stacktrace is because the DB is turned off. But what i dont understand is that my MDB keeps on reading the same message. Since my MDB is of topic type, isnt a topic MDB supposedly reads a message only once???
    So my questions are:
    1. how do i handle insert database error?
    2. how can i stop my MDB from processing the same message?
    3. any better suggestions?
    Thank you in advance :)

    Hi annie,
    Wherever you are handling database transactions,
    you'd not be able to create a Connection if database
    is closed (I think you mentioned turning off the
    database) then at this condition, you should
    certainly throw a System level exception and stop all
    processing with some meaningful flow to indicate a
    failure (like display message on UI). Even
    network problems are handled by exceptions... so I
    don't see a reason why you didn't wrap it in the
    first place.
    Anyway, try handling specific exceptions rather than
    the general Exception... this will give you a better
    idea of what to do in case of an exception.Yes i know this. I am practicing this in my non-j2ee server applications. But the j2ee app im making, i just pass the db url in the descriptor and the app server automatically creates the connection for my app. So where would i put exception handling?
    2. how can i stop my MDB from processing the same
    message?Guaranteed delivery is not supposed to stop
    processing. It will continue to process the message
    after certain intervals till the message is
    delivered. You shouldn't deliver it at all, if you
    are able to detect that the database is off
    The problem here is that my MDB automatically retrieves the message from the JMS queue server. Im not the one retrieving the messages manually.
    My assumed behavior of topic MDB is once the a certain MDB retrieves a message it will not retrieve the same message anymore.
    thank you in advance.

    But the connection pool for the SQL Server was not there in the list.
    What may be the possible reason for this error.
    i was trying to deploy a BMP entiy bean using the Sun Application Server.
    Prior deploying i just tried to create connection pool and test the connection using the Admin Console

    KritiHi. I am no expert, but it sounds like a problem with the privileges the user
    has... The best thing is to step back to a simpler environment. Can you try
    connecting to DB2 with a simple program like utils.dbping? Please look at our
    driver docs for the DB2 driver, because there are several variations in connect

    Solution
    (generate seperate url for SERVICE NAME)
    jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521/SERVICENAME
    ------------------------

    It is so clear: host not found error for network connection and the other SID servcie name not found means your oracle instance name is not up. check with srvctl status for given servcie name or node, else check CRS_Stat -t if you are using RAC.

  • Problem with creating Connection pool and JNDI, driver is not detected

    Hi,
    I have an issue with creating Connection Pool and JNDI.
    I'm using:
    - JDK 1.6
    - OS: Linux(ubuntu 8.10)
    - Netbeans IDE 6.5.1
    - Java EE 5.0
    - Apache Tomcat 6.0.18 Its lib directory contains all necessary jar files for Oracle database driver
    - Oracle 11g Enterprise
    My problem is that the Oracle database driver is not detected when I want to create a pool (it works pretty well and is detected without any problem when I create ordinary connection by DriverManager)
    Therefore after running:
    InitialContext ic = new InitialContext();
    Context context = (Context)ic.lookup("java:comp/env");
    DataSource dataSource = (DataSource)context.lookup("jdbc/oracle11g");

    Has anyone succeeded in creating a connection pool with JNDI by using Tomcat 6 or higher ? If yes, could kindly explain about the applied method.
    Regards,

    Hello again,
    Finally I managed to run my application also with Tomcat 6.0.18. There was only two lines that had to be modified
    in the context.xml file (the context of my application project and not server's)
    Instead of writing
    <Context antiJARLocking="true" path="/WebApplication2">
        type="javax.sql.DataSource"
        factory="org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp.BasicDataSourceFactory"
    </Context>we had to write:
    <Context antiJARLocking="true" path="/WebApplication2">
        type="oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSource"
        factory="oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSourceFactory"
    </Context>- No modification was needed to be done at server level (niether server.xml nor server context.xml)
    - I just added the ojdbc6.jar in $CATALINA_HOME/lib (I didn't even need to add it in WEB-INF/lib of my project)
    - The servlet used to do the test was the same that I presented in my precedent post.
    For those who have encountered my problem and are interested in the format of the web.xml and context.xml
    with Tomcat 6.0, you can find them below:
    Oracle server: Oracle 11g Enterprise
    Tomcat server version: 6.0.18

  • Can't Create Connection to one particular html page.

    I have a Contribute user in my company who can edit all pages in Contribute except one particular html page.  Every time she visits that one page she is prompted to.  Her permissions are fine, she hass access to that html page and the folder containing that and many other html pages.  She experiencies no issues with other html pages contained in that same, or any other, folder.
    I have tried to edit this one page myself without any issues.  I have tested it out with other Contribute users and found no issues.  I even had our IT people take a look at her machine, and there was no issue.

    If you add a Shared Document list view web part and add connection to the report viewer web part (RVWP), there will be no error. Since when the RVWP gets row from list web part in the connection, it will get data from DocUrl column. And the row passed from
    Shared Document list view wp contains this column, whereas other list view wps don't.
    Datarow passed to RVWP by Shared Document list view wp:

  • What's wrong with this MySQL connection? "Could not create connection to database server"

    I'm able to connect to other MySQL databases but this one particular remote MySQL connection isn't working and I cannot figure it out.  It probably has something to do with the remote server, not CF, but I thought I'd post it here if anyone had an idea.  The MySQL account has full priviledges.
    Here is the message when I try to validate the data source:
    Connection verification failed for data source: test
    com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.MySQLNonTransientConnectionException:  Could not create connection to database server. Attempted reconnect 3  times. Giving up.
    The root cause was that:  com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.MySQLNonTransientConnectionException:  Could not create connection to database server. Attempted reconnect 3  times. Giving up.

    This happened on two servers.  One one, the cause was that skip-networking was turned on.  In the other situation, it appears that the database name was case sensitive, so TEST was not the same as test.  Even though I edited the data source in the CF administrator, it still didn't work (very misleading).  When a coworker entered a new data source with the same information (uppercase database name this time from the start), it worked.
    Has anyone else seen this problem with the case sensitive database names?  And with the data source in CF not updating the case correctly?  Seems like a bug in CF.

  • What ACLs need to be defined to dynamically create connection pools?

    Hi,
    What ACLs do I need to define in order to dynamically (i.e. programatically)
    create connection pools? I've spent several hours reading doc
    and searching on the web but found nothing.
    I have defined the following:
    weblogic.allow.admin.weblogic.jdbc.connectionPoolcreate=someId
    But I still get the following exception when I try to invoke jdbc.createPool(aWeblogicPoolProperties);//jdbc
    is an instance of weblogic.jdbc.common.JdbcServices:
    java.lang.SecurityException: User "guest" does not have Permission
    "modify" based on ACL "weblogic.jndi.weblogic.jdbc.connectionPool"
    Can someone PLEASE list the ACLs I'd need to define for this to
    work?
    Thanks much,
    Andrew

    I'd like to know the answer to your question as well.
    On page 4-7 of the Programming WebLogic JDBC, the manual says to "modify the following
    ACLs to set up security configuration that supports the dynamic creation of connection
    pools.
    * acl.admin.dynapool
    * acl.admin.weblogic.jdbc.connectionPoolcreate
    * acl.modify.weblogic.jndi.weblogic.jdbc.connectionPool
    * acl.lookup.weblogic.jndi.weblogic.jdbc.connectionPool
    * acl.reserve.dynapool"
    These ACL's are not in my ACL list on my WLS6.1. So how can I modify these when
    they don't exist for me?
    thanks,
    Dennis

  • Unexplained Connection Exception

    I have created a connection to an Oracle Lite database using
    JDeveloper 3.0. When I test the connection it posts an error
    dialog with the title "Connection Exception". The body of the
    dialog contains the phrase "java/util/Hashmap". There is no
    indication of what the problem is.
    I am certain the class is in the classpath. My guess is that the
    class is being invoked incorrectly by the code. But there is no
    information. What's going on here? How can I fix it?
    null

    Hi, my friend
    Last week I had the same problem. The solution (at least for me)
    was recompile the project using JDK 1.2. The HashMap class
    belongs to 1.2 version.
    In JDev menu Project/Project Properties inspect the item "Target
    JDK Version". It should apears "JDK1.2_JDeveloper".
    I hope could help you.

  • Closed Connection exceptions every day with WL813 SP3 and 10g

    Every day we get closed connection exceptions (which I think in turn leads to Heuristic Hazard exceptions), the first time we run the tests after restarting Weblogic and database.
    I tried various WL parameters so far but not with much luck. The parameters I tried include setting "Test Reserved Connections", "Test Created Connections", "Test Released Connections", "Connection Creation Retry Frequency", disabling "Allow Shrinking" etc.
    I tried weblogic support but so far not much progress. Any help is greatly appreciated. Following are the log traces.

    Server.log Fragment:Hi. The jdbc log shows that some native code error is killing your type-2 JDBC connection,
    and depending on what C bug it is, it could corrupt any other native connection or code.
    I highly recommend you switch to a type-4 driver.
