Create logon for users to see the application only?

Hello,
I just built my application and I want to create a logon for only the user to see the application. I created a new user under Admin with no developer and administrator priveleges. I logout and when I logon as the new user, there is nothing on that page. How do I link the application that I built from developer logon to the new user's logon page. Basically, I want to logon as the new user and just see the application that was built. Any help would be appreciated.

To run the application, do not use the URL that takes you to the Application Builder. Start a new browser session and use a URL like http://host:port/pls/DAD/f?p=5000:1, where 5000 is your application's ID (example only) and page 1 is the page to display after login. Your application will probably have the default HTML DB authentication scheme so that you'll see a login page first, then go to page 1 after authentication.

Well, sorry but I am still not clear with your question. There are two diffrent things I can guess in the same message. I would request you to please let me know which is the one which exactly you want to do, and would explain you both of the cases as under:
1. Are you wanting to monitor if risk analysis is done on role creation?
OR
2. Are you wanting to monitor if the risk analysis is done on the assignement of the role to a user?
I'm asking this because each of these 2 requirements can be achieved by RE and AE respectively and the user carrying out these tasks need not even log into CC for doing either/both of 1 & 2.
For 1:
You can use RE and enable the Risk analysis step in the role creation process by enabling and using the web service which connects the Risk analysis from RE to AE. Here (in RE) you can enable the option "not to generate the role if Risk analysis is not done", to ensure everyone does a risk analysis before generating a role.
For 2:
You can use AE directly and do a risk analysis the same way as we did for RE (by using web service), before the role assignment is approved/done to the user.
CASE 3:
In case you do not have RE or AE installed (which is also one of the inferences I get from your post when you mentioned that there is one service desk who takes care of the role assignments), you may configure Risk Terminator in this case, wherein you can configure this tool at the backend to make it mandatory to do the risk analysis when:
a) A role is generated at the backend.
b) A role assignment is done at the backend.

Hi all, i'm new to Mac book & Xcode. I'm learning and facing problems while creating a new file for Xcode. Before i upgrade the software, i have no issue to create simple steps in apps. After upgrade Xcode to 4.6 version, i'm facing lot's of issue eg.
1) "the identity "iphone developer" doesn't match any valid certificate/ private key pair",

Unable to see the application in BPM Workspace for Sales Quote tutorial

I have created the Sales Quote tutorial steps and deployed the process. The Enter Quote Details user task is in the "SalesRep" role and I have assigned a user from WebLogic user store to "SalesRep" role in the BPM Organization artifact.
In order to kick off the process, I logged-in to BPM workspace with the user I have assigned as "SalesRep" role but don't find the Sales Quote application under the "Applications" tab.
I am using 11g PS4(11.1.1.5) and didn't seed the demo users, instead just created the user using WLS console.
Any thoughts why the user is unable to see the application in BPM Workspace?

Check two things:
1. Login to Workspace as weblogic and click the Administration link at the top to verify the role is actually set to a user (just to double check this).
2. Login to EM, click the SalesQuote composite, scroll down and click the EnterQuote human task component, and click the Administration tab.
This shows you if there is a task form URI associated with this human task. If not, the initiate link won't show up in the Applications menu in Workspace.
If not, you can either deploy again from JDeveloper, making sure you have selected the task forms in the deploy wizard and making sure the deployment is successful in the Deployments log window.

Windows 8 installation error: "We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information, see the Setup log files."

I recently tried testing Server 2012 for installation and I had a major issue. Windows 8 also uses the same method for installation so this should also apply to Windows 8. I thought this might be helpful for other people who have the same
problem. My setup is a 1U server with no DVD drive, no hard drives, and only USB. I have a new hard drive that I wanted to install Server onto, so I put it in and ran the installer off a thumb drive. I kept receiving the following error when
I tried to format the hard drive and proceed with the installation:
"We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information, see the Setup log files."
After hours of troubleshooting, I determined my problem was I was using a thumb drive to install it, and Windows didn't like it. Some people had similar issues when similar devices were plugged in (i.e. external hard drives, SD cards, CF cards, etc).
In my case, it was the installation drive itself was a thumb drive. I ended up digging up an external DVD drive and placed the installation onto a DVD. Worked flawlessly. Now I am up and running.
I tried
the steps here to no avail.
Hope this helps anyone else with the same problems.

HT3231 I ended up having to create a new user name because the migration assistant wouldn't let me put the data back onto my original user name. I now have to log into the new user name to see all my data, apps, photographs etc. What went wrong?

I have a Mac that was part of the recall involved with the faulty Seagate hard drives. The folks at the Apple Store near me changed the hard drive early December, 2012. I had my data, etc. all backed up on a portable hard drive. When the Mac was returned with the new hard drive, I used the Migration Assistant to bring everything back over. Trouble was, it wouldn't let me bring it over to my original user name. I was forced to create a new user name that became the place where everything was restored. I can't see any data on my old user name, just the basics. Everything is on the new user name but I wish I didn't have it (just want everything back the way it was originally). Any suggestions?

Probably the cleanest thing to do is to erase and freshly install the operating system on the new drive. Then, on the first boot up, don't create a new user, instead select the option in Setup Assistant to immediately bring things over from your backup, which you must connect via USB or firewire. Setup Assistant will then recretae your old user to look just like it used to.
Before doing this, make sure you realize you will lose everything on the new drive by erasing it, and make sure your backup is still viable.

Posted the entire text from the error window, when trying to update, using the normal NON-TECHIE way to update any and all Adobe CC products, via the Creative Cloud updater installed when Adobe Creative Cloud subscription was purchased when first offered.

Here's the crux of my frustration:
(1) Customer Service is NOT contact-able, to receive LIVE help.
(2) There is NO way for me to mitigate this "Download error", being a student learning InDesign, and NOT in any way capable of tweaking folders/files here and there.
Therefore, the real question:
Given that a significant number of subscribers are having the above referenced issue with attempting to download the current update for InDesign, WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO, in order to get our contractually paid-for updates to our legally and contractually paid-for Adobe software, specifically in my case, InDesgin's current update?
Please, NO TECHNICAL mumbo-jumbo which most likely will cause the overwhelming majority of users, like me, to seriously corrupt their computer files, but rather an honest, straightforward "what to do" from real CS/Engineers working for Adobe, as to how to FIX this issue, period.

Here is a way in which I think I was able to "update" my InDesign CC application:
(1) Sign-In to your Adobe Account

(2) Click on the MENU icon
(3) Click on the product InDesign icon
Your browser should display the page for Adobe InDesign CC

(4) Click on the Download icon,
Your browser should now display the page to download InDesign,

(5) a Pop-Up window should open, and display:
Launch Application
This link needs to be opened with an application.
with the first option to select being the CreativeCloud(URIHandler)
(5) Select this application and click OK.
What happened when I followed steps (1) thorugh (5) is that:
(a) InDesign CC(2014) was installed,
(b) InDesign CC, updated, and then
(c) InDesign CC(2014), also updated.
Why this all worked, is a mystery to me.
Looks like a separate, "new" version of InDesign, InDesign CC(2014), was installed, the existing "old" InDesign was updated, and then the newly installed Indesign CC(2014) was further updated.
A BIT MORE, when I launched my InDesign CC app, and checked to see if there were Updates Available, there in fact was an Adobe InDesign CC 64 bit (9.2.2) update.
I clicked on UPDATE and my "old" InDesign CC app was "successfully updated."
FURTHER INFO: I may have neglected to list some important info ... OS: Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center, 64-bit
Confused, I am able to launch BOTH of these apps, and hopefully I may use one of these versions of the InDesign CC app, to do some InDesign work.

The applications are two: the first is "Layers - Standard, J. Benjamin Gotow, version 2.7.2" and the second is "Brushes - iPad Edition, Taptrix, version 1.2.2". The help files don't aswer to my curiosity. I'm looking at developer's website for a support forum just now, many thanks.

Cannot see the application window when the program is run

I wrote a java GUI using Jbuilder. I cant see the application window when i run the program. THe program compiles successfully but the application window pops up only showing the blue title bar and minimize maximaize and x out icon on it. I done see my GUI or anything below the 1 inch long blue title bar. Can someone plese tell me what i am doing wrong. Thanks.

A quick look-up in the API confirms that pack is not deprecated. Setting the size of the window to a specific size is quite a bit different than what pack accomplishes. Pack determines the preferred size of all of the components, lays out the layout manager and then sets the size of the window based on the size of the components inside of it. Calling setSize, however, will force the window to be a specific size no matter what the components want and thus creates a window that is probably not the right size for the components inside of it.

Restrict user to see the contents of a transparent table

i want to restrict users in seeing the contents of a database table..
ithat is, when they go to se16 and hit enter.. and try to execute F8 button.. it should not show any records and no access should be available to that user...
Can this be possible with auth object - whoever is authorizeed they only shoud see the contents..
how to do this.. this table doenst not have table maintanence -- no SM30 data maintancne..

This is part of the table definition in the data dictionary (not sure with what release that was introduced, but if you're not on an old system you should probably have it). I.e. in the data dictionary (SE11) on the Delivery and Maintenance tab for the table you have a field Data Browser/Table View Main., which you should set to N Display/Maintenance not allowed. If you check the F1 help on the field you'll get a nice long explanation.
If you don't have this option (on an old release) check out OSS note [26909 - SE16 - Security|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/26909], which explains your other option via authorization object S_TABU_DIS (access control might be a bit too coarse). Any way I still don't understand the issue:
You said you are able to connect using webexcel. If you are able to connect with webexcel that's means you are able to see the application because otherwise you can not login.
Also into admin console you should be able to see all the application from that appset?
Are you saying it is one application which should be there but it is not?

Unauthorized User can see the aggregated result?

Dear all,
I got a problem that, unauthorized user can see the aggregated result.
e.g. A user who is allowed to read data of Sales Office (0SALES_OFF) 0001 only. (It is done in the RSECADMIN already)
Now a cube contains Sales records of Sales office 0001 & 0002 :
Sales Office 0001 Sales Value 3000
Sales Office 0002 Sales Value 2000
When the user execute a query from the cube without any selection criteria, it give the aggregated Sales Value 5000.
But if the user try to drill down for each sales office, it can then give error, because the user are not suppose to see Sales Office 0002 records.
What I expect is an error at the very beginning when the user execute the query, saying the cube contains data that the user is not suppose to see, the user need to put in the correct Sales Office as criteria first.
Is there anyone can help on this issue?? I have no idea how can this happened?

Hi,
Now I understood your concern correctly. Unfortunately, I do not have prompt answer for you. So, User should be able to view the aggregated result, but not to irrelevant sales office. If you don't have condition on Aggregated Result, restricting to individual Sales Office can be done in RSECADMIN.
