Create Object when Runtime ?

Hi, everyone. Is there anybody could give advice about creating object on Forms Runtime? (I mean, I could create eg:Button when in Form runtime). Any help would be appreciated.

Any help here...

  • 'Failed to create object' when trying to open PDF attachment in Dynamics GP 10 OLE notes

    Microsoft Dynamics GP 10 users who updated to Adobe Reader X are getting errors when trying to open or create an OLE attachment on a note.
    They get 'Failed to create object' when trying to open an existing and getting 'Failed to connect.
    And " Link may be broken" when trying to create a new one.
    PDF attachments work pretty fine with previous version of Acrobat reader 7,8,9 up tp 9.4
    Now that we install Acrobat X, something has changed.
    It only does this for PDF attachments, Other file types work fine.
    I was able to remove Adobe Reader X and install a prior version to work around the issue.
    Has Adobe developed any Fix for the integration of X and OLE objects.
    regards,

    Hi Gestis,
    What version of Adobe Reader are you using?
    If its less that 10.1.2, please update it to 10.1.2 and then try to open PDF attachment inDynamcs GP OLE notes.

  • Creating objects when count is greater than 1

    Hi
    I'm trying to create a runbook that checks service manager for incidents that have been created in the last 10 minutes of the same category. When the result of this check brings back more than 5 objects I want a problem to be created with the incidents linked
    to the problem.
    I know a junction will be required somewhere in order to stop the create object running multiple times but when this occurs I cannot address the scobject guids in the create relationship step. I have attached a screenshot of the runbook below.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Flatten the "Get Object Count" Activity so it triggers only once.

  • ActiveX can't create object when VB Script called from Labview

    I have an interesting issue that I can't find a solution for. I am using the DIAdem Run Script.VI in Labview to call a script that opens an Outlook object and sends an email. When the script is called via LabView I get this error:
    However, when I manually run the script from the DIAdem script tab it works as expected with no errors.
    This is the code:
    'Begin email send function
    Dim oOutlookApp
    Dim oOutlookMail
    Dim cnByValue : cnByValue = 1
    Dim cnMailItem : cnMailItem = 0
    ' Get Outlook Application Object
    Set oOutlookApp = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
    ' Create Mail Item
    Set oOutlookMail = oOutlookApp.CreateItem(cnMailItem)
    ' Set Mail Values
    With oOutlookMail
    .To = "[email protected]"
    .Subject = "Report: " & Data.Root.ActiveChannelGroup.Name & " for " & CurrDate
    .Body = "test automatic report emailing with VB Script."
    ' Add Attachement
    Call .Attachments.Add(strLocFileName, cnByValue, 1 )
    ' Send Mail
    Call .Send()
    End With
     (Original code includes Option Explicit and all variables are properly included/declared, I just took the snippet of what's causing the error).
    I have looked at the following threads for info already:

    -I tried running the script via Windows explorer (per Brad's suggestion) by itself without the DIAdem specific functions and it runs fine.

    Thank you.

    Hey techerdone -
    I'm afraid I personally can't be of much help - I tested your code both from DIAdem and from LabVIEW and each worked without issues in both cases (Outlook closed, Outlook open).  I'm using DIAdem 2011 SP1, LabVIEW 2011, and Outlook 2007...

  • Automation server can't create object when calling a jsp from a button

    Hello,
    I have created the following jsp that allow me to execute an external program that is located on the client side:
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    function execAppli(app)
    var wshShell = new ActiveXObject("WScript.Shell");
    wshShell.Run(app+".exe", 1, true);
    -->
    </script>
    If I call this jsp in a simple html page is works correctly when i call it from a button in apex (3.0) I got the error message Automation server can't create object.
    Any idea ?
    Thanks,
    Claude-Alain

    Hi Claude,
    Just be sure that you really (like really) trust your endusers, because I can see some huge opportunities for exploiting that JavaScript routine you've shown. If you're not taking steps to prevent cross site scripting (search this forum or Google for details on what that is), then it's not beyond the bounds of possibility for someone to do something 'nasty' which would do horrible things to your end users if your executing a program on their client machines without any warning or validation of what that program actually does.
    Sometimes it's best to work backwards from the point of view of....what if you walk into work one morning and find that 400 end users machines have had their hard-drives wiped because the script arbitrarily executes whatever command you pass to it? Then you can perhaps see that what sometimes looks like a good idea might not be such a good idea after all ;)

  • Create object in runtime phase

    Hi all,
    i would create a data grid and pass it an array...
    for example th array looks like this:
    <mx:Array id="planets">
    <mx:Object planet="Mercury" kind="Terrestrial"
    year_duration="0.24" moons="0" cost="1250" />
    <mx:Object planet="Venus" kind="Terrestrial"
    year_duration="0.62" moons="0" cost="2400" />
    <mx:Object planet="Jupiter" kind="Gas giant"
    year_duration="11.86" moons="63" cost="500" />
    <mx:Object planet="Eris" kind="Ice dwarf"
    year_duration="557" moons="1" cost="3000" />
    </mx:Array>
    and datagrid takes dataprovider property equal to "planets".
    ok it'all ok but how can i create an object with those
    properties (planet, kind,...) and values dinamically?
    for example i would create a method that returns a value and
    inserts it in a properties in the object array
    <mx:Object planet = method1() kind = method2() />
    maybe i have to create MyClass that extends Objects...infact
    i see that the dataprovider propertiy is an OBject class...i dont't
    know...
    i appreciate any help..thanks a lot

    Thanks for the reply...
    an other question
    i'have an xml file like this:

    > <cds>68</cds>
    > </production>
    > ...other weeks production...
    > </week>
    > </root>
    i would create objects for every products: book and cds
    for example for book
    <mx:Object monday="23" tuesday="56" />
    and for cds
    <mx:Object monday="56" tuesday="68" />
    can you suggest a procedure to rich this result?

  • Dynamically create objects at runtime - Collections?

    Dear Experts
    During runtime i need to create several objects. Can you help me by pointing out the best practice here? Is it possible to store Man and Dog object in the single collection?
    Thank you for the help
    The code is as follows
    abstract class Mammal {
        String name;
        Mammal(String n)
            name = n;
        void sleep()
            System.out.println( name + "! is asleep! zzzzzzz!");
        abstract void talk();
    class Man extends Mammal {
        Man(String n)
            super(n);
        void talk()
            System.out.println("H1 My Name is "+name+" How do you do?");
    class Dog extends Mammal {
        Dog(String n)
            super(n);
        void talk()
            System.out.println("Wrf!Wrf!");
    public class Main {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
           Dog d1 = new Dog("Dots");
           Man m1 = new Man("Joe");
           Dog d2 = new Dog("Dollar");
           Man m2 = new Man("Mike");

    }

    i tried this. If it is wrong please let me know. If all you need is a List, it may work fine. I didn't try it. Some suggestions:
    Declare 'al' as a List:
    List al = new ArrayList();Then if you decide you need a LinkedList or other List, you only have to change the right side construction.
    Try to use generics (as YoungWinston suggested).
    Use an Iterator or an "enhanced 'for' loop" for the iteration, instead of constantly checking "size" and using "get(i)". Since you have a short random-access list (ArrayList), your loop may work okay. But, if you had a long non-random-access list (such as LinkedList), an Iterator or "enhanced 'for' loop" (which uses an Iterator behind-the-scenes) would work faster.
    If you do need thread-safety, there are other considerations, too.

  • Run-time error '429': ActiveX component can't create object

    HI,
    I am having the following error in my Excel VBA Run-time error '429': ActiveX component can't create object  when running the following code:
    Dim objDistiller As New ACRODISTXLib.PdfDistiller6
    objDistiller.FileToPDF2 filePath & ".PS", filePath & ".PDF", "T:\Templates\PDFSettings\Standard.joboptions", 1
    This code has been working for years on all our systems, but due to recent security issues our administrator changed all user accounts to not have local administrator rights and now when we run this code we get the above error message.
    I have had a look at DComcnfg.exe to try and get it to work by setting the default property permissions to allow access by Everyone but I am still getting the error.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards.
    Shane Chapman.

    Hi Shane,
    Here is another way to create PDF with Macro using another API than Distiller. This API is faster too.
    Probably this post is not of interest anymore but here is how I have done it:
    1. Download PDFCreator: http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/
    2. Use the following Macro:
    Option Explicit
    Sub printPDFmacro()
    'Author : Ken Puls (www.excelguru.ca)
    'Macro Purpose: Print to PDF file using PDFCreator
    ' (Download from http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/)
    ' Designed for early bind, set reference to PDFCreator
    Dim pdfjob As PDFCreator.clsPDFCreator
    Dim sPDFName As String
    Dim sPDFPath As String
    '/// Change the output file name here! ///
    sPDFName = "Facture-" & nclient2 & " le " & Format(Date, "yyyy-mm-dd") & ".pdf"
    sPDFPath = "E:\Partenaire Scolaire\Comptabilite\Factures"
    PDFFileName2 = sPDFPath & "\" & sPDFName
    Set pdfjob = New PDFCreator.clsPDFCreator
    With pdfjob
    If .cStart("/NoProcessingAtStartup") = False Then
    MsgBox "Can't initialize PDFCreator.", vbCritical + _
    vbOKOnly, "PrtPDFCreator"
    Exit Sub
    End If
    .cOption("UseAutosave") = 1
    .cOption("UseAutosaveDirectory") = 1
    .cOption("AutosaveDirectory") = sPDFPath
    .cOption("AutosaveFilename") = sPDFName
    .cOption("AutosaveFormat") = 0 ' 0 = PDF
    .cClearCache
    End With
    'Print the document to PDF
    ActiveSheet.PrintOut copies:=1, ActivePrinter:="PDFCreator"
    'Wait until the print job has entered the print queue
    Do Until pdfjob.cCountOfPrintjobs = 1
    DoEvents
    Loop
    pdfjob.cPrinterStop = False
    'Wait until PDF creator is finished then release the objects
    Do Until pdfjob.cCountOfPrintjobs = 0
    DoEvents
    Loop
    pdfjob.cClose
    Set pdfjob = Nothing
    end sub
    Have any questions, just have to poke me.

  • Error message: Automation server can't create object

    Hello
    I'm currently receiving the error message: 'Automation server can't create object' when trying to view reports. This only happens when i try to view them through the IIS server using the .net launchpad. It happens with both reports that i have produced and Feature example reports, it also happens from both client machines and the server.
    Any ideas on how to fix this issue?
    regards

    Hi,
      I am not sure if you still are having this issue. In my experience I have seen this issue if for all the BO related services the rights are not proper. These have to be given from dcomconfig.

  • How do I create multiple objects during runtime?

    I don't know how to create multiple objects during runtime, here's my problem:
    I get a String as input. Then I create an object called newobject. I put the object in a hashtable with the above string as key.
    Then comes the problem, in order to create a new object, I have to rerun the same class, which uses the same name (newobject) to create a 2nd object. Now my hashtable doesn't reference to my 1st object anymore...
    Is there anyway I can fill up the hashtable with different objects, and make each key point to each object it was supposed to?
    For those who want to see a bit of the program:
    public class PlayBalloon{
    public Hashtable ht = new Hashtable();
    for(){
    Balloon pB = newBalloon;
    newBalloon=new Balloon(pB);
    ht.put("Some input from user", newBalloon);
    for(){
    ht.get(s).draw;<= s=string, draw=own meth. in Balloon
    }

    I think i can see the problem that you are having. You have, in effect, duplicate keys in your hashtable - ie, two strings used as keys with the same name.
    The way that a hashtable works is as follows...
    When you ask for a value that is mapped to a key it will go through the table and return the first occurence it finds of the key you asked for. It does this by using the equals() method of whatever object the key is (in your case it is a String).
    If you cant use different Strings for your keys in your hashtable then i would consider writing an ObjectNameKey class which contains the String value that you are trying to put in the hashtable and an occurrence number/index or something to make it unique. Remember to override the equals method in your ObjectNameKey object or else the hash lookup will not work. For example
    class ObjectNameKey {
        private String name;
        private int occurence;
        public ObjectNameKey(String name, int occ) {
            this.name = name;
            this.occurence = occ;
        public String getName() {
            return name;
        public String getOccur() {
            return occurence;
        public boolean equals(Object o) {
            if (!(o instanceof ObjectNameKey)) {
                return false;
            ObjectNameKey onk = (ObjectNameKey)o;
            if (onk.getName().equals(name) && onk.getOccur() == occurence) return true;
            return false;

    Hello,
    We have an Addon developed with VB6 that run without problems with SBO 6.5.
    We have upgraded to SBO2004A and I have referenced in the source code to the 2004 UI and DI. I debug mode (from IDE) we don't have problems, but when I try to execute the addon from a client, I get this error message:

    I'm using Installshield 10.5 to generate the setup file. It's much more easy and not requiered to install Framework 1.1 in each PC client before to install the Addon.
    You have to create and msi project, and write the Installscript to retrieve the install directory from parameter string passed by SAP.
    After install you must execute the AddOnInstallAPI.EndInstall to notify SAP:
    #include "ifx.h"
    prototype  LONG AddOnInstallAPI.EndInstall();
    prototype  LONG AddOnInstallAPI.RestartNeeded();
    // OnFirstUIBefore

  • Vbscript runtime error 429 activex component can't create object

    hi i am writing a VB Script where it runs a batch files
    but when the batch file is called from the script its giving error as
    runtime error 429 activex component can't create object
    my script is as follows
    strcmd = "utility.bat"
    Set wshSystemEnv = wshshell.Environment("USER")
    wshshell.Run strcmd
    can some one help me with this ?
    Thank you

    Sorry, your script makes no sense. You never create the object wshshell
    and you never use the object wshSystemEnv. Start the code with
    set WshShell = WScript.CreateObject("Wscript.Shell")

  • Creating View Objects at Runtime for Validation

    In Oracle® Application Development Framework
    Developer’s Guide For Forms/4GL Developers tutorial there is a topic about Creating View Objects at Runtime for Validation.
    Is there any sample code available for this topic?
    Please help
    Regards
    S Karar

    I have created a helper method . The code is given below
    protected ViewObject getValidationVO(String viewObjectDefName) {
    // Create a new name for the VO instance being used for validation
    String name = "Validation_" + viewObjectDefName.replace('.', '_');
    // Try to see if an instance of this name already exists
    ViewObject vo = getDBTransaction().getRootApplicationModule().findViewObject(name);
    // If it doesn't already exist, create it using the definition name
    if (vo == null) {
    vo = getDBTransaction().getRootApplicationModule().createViewObject(name,viewObjectDefName);
    return vo;
    // Validation_bc4j_project of type ApplicationModule not found
    and created a validation method.
    The code inside validation method is given below.
    public boolean validateAvgMr(Number data) {
    String batch_catg = getQuality();
    // Get the view object instance for validation
    ViewObject vo = getValidationVO("bc4j_project.v_sqc0150");
    if (getTestStage()=="DOLLOP" && getQuality()=="DECO")
    // Set it's bind variables (which it will typically have!)
    vo.setNamedWhereClauseParam("batch_catg","DECO");
    vo.executeQuery();
    Number dol_mr_lcl=(Number)vo.first().getAttribute("DolMrLclStd");
    setStdMrLcl(dol_mr_lcl);
    return true;
    return true;
    I have checked the validation view and it is returing value with the same bind variable value but is not returning any value when using inside this method validation.
    I have checked several times but can't find the fault in the code.
    Please help
