Create recordset join, date = todays date

hi,
i have been trying to create a recordset on my page which joins my clients table to insurance table which is fine.
however i need to be able to show on my page due date = today's date.
so in my insurance table i have a duedate column with data type DATE
i need my recordset query to return duedate=todays date and also show if passed due date?
can anyone help me write this query?

thanks bregent, the database was helped setup viaa posts on mysql forum and by my understanding of mysql of learning over past year or so.
i have queried using just a simple join statement.

To query against more than one table using standard SQL you could use a UNION query. MySQL also has functionality to query against multiple tables but I don't use MySQL. But I need to ask why you are storing these due dates in more than one table? Who designed this database?

This is all just simple date math. Please use the reference I gave earlier for examples or search the web for MySQL date math.

Yes, You can create a viewObject that is based on entities.
When you shuttle the base entities to the right in the wizard there is a check box at the bottom that let you specify if they are updatable or not.

How to calculate the days between last movement of material till today date

Could someone help me please?
I have a key figure in the InfoCube 0IC_C03 witch contain the last date of movement of material.
(it is a key figure created in format date and contain the max value).
How can I to calculate the number of days between this date (last movement), till today date (system date).
I need to show:
material........last movement.....days without movements.
xxxxxxxxxxx.....dd/mm/yyyy..........9999
Im trying to do this calculation in bex using variable formula but it doesn't work becouse current date (customer exit) brings sy-datum in format yyyymmdd and the kf-last-mov is in format number (I dont know what kind of number)

Here we are using the version 7.0 and SP 10, I'm afraid I could not understand you. I Can't find the function DATE_DIFF (Where is it?)
I'm using the formula and it doesn't work. Coud you see the result is:
last movement date     Today date        result

18.05.2007                  20.070.625       19.337.810
the "today date" is from customer exit and the result is a strange number to me.
Could you help me?

Present date - posting date

the query contains char posting date(0pstng_date).
query should bring the values which are longer than 6 months.when the user run the query it should calculate the present date(sys date) - document posting date .if it is longer than 6 months it should bring that record.
*how the query calculates the sys date(todays date)?
*how to get whether it is older than 6 months?

Search for it here, you will get a no of posts describing the steps for a user-exit. One such post is Re: Bex : selection variable - write default values
In the code of the user exit, you may write something similar to
data : w_date like sy-datum.

If you want to exclude the last six months data from the report, mention "l_s_range-sign = 'E'." instead in the above code. (current code will show the last six month data).
Once done, you can restrict your pstg_date field (context menu-->restrict) with this variable.

Join two unrelated data sources

Is it possible to join two unrelated data sourcesin OWB, if yes, how?
The closest which comes to my mind is union (outer join) thru two proxy expressions with redundant column holders for reciprocal columns.
But I am thinking, above would lead to excessive wastage.
So is there a better way possible.

I think there are 2 different things you are trying to achieve:
1) With a grand total, something along the lines of:
select emp1.empno
, emp1.ename
, count(emp2.empno) count_empno
from emp1
, emp2
This query will retrieve a grant total, and because there is no relationship, you do not need a join condition. You do access the emp table twice.
OWB would implement this like:
select emp1.empno
, emp1.ename
, (select count(emp2.empno) from emp2) count_empno
from emp1
The other thing you seem to like to implement is a join on the customer_id, or similar for the simplified example, say on deptno in the emp table:
select emp1.empno
, emp1.ename
, sum(emp2.sal) dept_sal_sum
from emp1
, emp2
where emp1.deptno = emp2.deptno
group by emp1.empno
, emp1.ename -- this does not add anything, but...
Again, the way OWB would implement this (something similar):
select emp1.empno
, emp1.ename
, (select sum(emp2.sal)
from emp2
where emp2.deptno = emp1.deptno
) dept_sal_sum
from emp1
group by emp1.empno
, emp1.ename -- this does not add anything, but...
Anyway, so the way you would create this is by using the same source multiple times, include the aggregates and put in the join conditions appropriately.

Date modified/Date Created/Date Added(timestamp) - not showing the actual date?

In finder, none of the date info seems to be accurate.
By example, I just downloaded a new app from a website (onyx in this case), todays date is Nov 13th and when I install the new app (i.e. drag and drop into Apps folders) in finder the Date modified says Nov. 1st, Date created says October 31. Should one of these columns not reflect the true date that the app actually got onto my mac? I understand that one of these clumns probably relfects the info contained within the downloaded app, but surely one column can tell me that I installed this app on November 13! The "Last opened" columns is the only "accurate" date column I have. (as I write this however, i've noticed that the 'Date Added column does say "Today").
I gues my question is what columne reflect what the file itself has imbedded in it, and what relfects the actions i've done (I.e. installed the app on Nov 13)
Any help would be very much appreciated. Note sure if this is somehting more worrisome or not, but i've had it for a while with no major issues other than frsutration of not understanding this. i'm on 10.7.2

The Date Modified column for the Applications folder itself will reflect the actual installation date. The others aren't supposed to.

Not sure if it needs those #, although it is a date so maybe

Schedule line bringing todays date altough stock available earlier(backlog)

Here is the issue,
The project is in the backlogging stage.On the mm side the postings are done for august and plenty of stock is available for sales orders to be created.
Now when we create sales orders we basically change the pricing date, document date and required delivery date for the backlogging of month august.
When the avaialbity check runs it brings schedule as given below

Altough the stock is avaialble for month of august and this is the first order that I created on the production system so no chance of stock being resewrved for other orders.

I think that ATP will never confirm in the past, as it doesn't make any sense from an ATP point of view.
If it is not what you need, then just dissable ATP, and the system will confirm anything on the required date.

Create table with overlapping parallel dates in individual columns

I am trying to combine data from two different tables into a single table.
The data in table 1 contains unit locations of patients within a hospital where each record represents one location. Patients can be transferred many times between different beds resulting in many records for a single visit.
The data in table 2 contains operating room activity of the patient in the hospital where each record represents either the OR of the recovery room stay. A patient may have multiple operations in one visit.
I would like to join/merge/mashup the data into a single table that has the data parallel to each other. That is, the dates for the unit activity on one side of the table and the OR activity on the other. The difficulty is that the two sets of in/out dates overlap. I would like the final table to split the original records into new records when the overlaps do not coincide.
Example:
Original Events in two records (one per table)
> Unit Event A - from 2pm to 6pm
> OR Event B - from 4pm to 5pm
Results in 3 records (in final table)
> Event 1 - Unit from 2pm to 4pm, OR dates null
> Event 2 - Unit from 4pm to 5pm, OR from 4pm to 5pm
> Event 3 - Unit from 5pm to 6pm, OR dates null
Of course the overlapping may be more complex that the above example, and adding in and out code to indicate "phantom" transfers will be needed as well.
In the code below, the first OR visit occurs during the first unit record.

I edited one of the dates in the original post.
Both the inpatient unit and OR events are contiguous for a given patient (no overlaps and no gaps -- after data is cleaned) .
I have no problem with a view instead of a table, and would probably prefer a view.
There are about 3 million records in the inpatient unit table and 0.5 million in the OR table.
Below is how I would like the final table (assuming I correctly split the records). I've used X's to represent the phantom movements. It seems that one should never have a phantom X in both the UNIT_IN_CODE and the UNIT_OUT_CODE (same for out codes).
FYI, The B's mean transfer within a unit (change room/ed), the T's transfer between units, O's enter OR, R's enter recovery room.
Also, the may be a future need to add an additional set of parallel dates (attending physician service)!

Reporting Services is used for rendering the report with data retrieved from datasource. In Reporting Services, we can retrieve data from the datasource then design a report, after the report processed, data is fixed on the report. So it’s not supported
to have the end users selection and do summary. For your requirement, it’s can’t be achieved currently.

How to create a report using XML data source from Crystal Report Designer

Iu2019m having Crystal Report Designer XI R2 SP4. Iu2019m trying to create a report using XML data source stored on disk. This is a customer order report and the xml is structured in such a way that it has an order details header part (master) and then it has several order lines (detail). One order line can have several order line characteristics (detail-detail). So what I need to know is now I can design this layout from the designer. If this was done using views I can do it with sub-reports but using xml data this seems to be different. Can you help me to design this layout? I have included the xml and xsd as well.

Thank you for the response and ideas you have given me so far. I can get the fetch the data from the data source without any problem. That is I do the following,
1.     New Report
2.     From Create New Connection-> XML
3.     Provide the u201CLocal XML Fileu201D and have u201CSpecify Schema Fileu201D checked -> Next
4.     Provide the u201CLocal Schema Fileu201D -> Finish
Then I can see the following under XML

This is the Mac mini forum not the iMac forum however...
Applications written for average users like Photoshop, Word, i.e. GUI based applications provide a 'Save' dialog box which while allow selecting second drives or any drive. The dialob box initially shown might be in the simple mode but you just need to click on the triangle to show the full set of options. You should then see the different drive names amongst other options.
If your referring to an application your writing yourself then you need to build a pathname. This can be in one of two styles depending on the programming system your using. This could be a POSIX style path or a Mac style path.
POSIX = /Volumes/volname/foldername

Is there a way to create a reminder from a date that appears in an email that was sent to me? I know that when a date is entered into an email I can create an event on my calendar for it, but is there a way I can have it be a reminder instead?

Here is a method for extracting a still from iMovie 09.
Are you working in iMovie and realize that certain frames in the movie would be perfect as photographs? Here is how to extract them...
*To get a still frame from an Event*, right-click on the frame and select "Add Still Frame to Project". The still will be added to the end of the current project. Right click on the still frame in the project and select "Reveal in Finder". You will see a jpeg file that is highlighted. Drag this jpeg file in the finder to the iPhoto icon on your dock.
*If you want a still from a project*, rather than an event, the process is similar, except you right-click on the frame and select "Add Freeze Frame", and it adds the freeze frame at the end of the clip rather than at the end of the project. Right-click/reveal in Finder, drag JPEG to iPhoto icon in dock.
*If you are not using iPhoto*, and just want to save to your desktop, click Reveal in Finder as above, then COPY, then PASTE to desktop.
Hint: If you do not want to clutter up your iMovie Project with stills at the end that you would have to go back and delete, then create a separate iMovie Project just for your stills, and follow the instructions for capturing stills from an Event.
Note: If you do not have a right mouse button, then control-click will work instead of right-click.

How to create a single large bitmap data at run time?

Hi All,
Please help me in overcoming the issue that is mentioned below.
Requirement: Create single very large bitmap data which contain some 30 PNG images loaded and for each image it should have some text. Images and text are loaded dynamically (AS2 code. Images are stored in a remote server). The bitmap data display should show 8 images at a time and corresponding text. We can see rest content by scrolling (kinetic scroll is implemented). How can I go for it?
Some questions:
· Is there any limit for size of bitmap data ( As per link there is restriction on the height of the bitmap we can create in AS2 (max value is 2880 which is not enough for some 30 element list http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashLite/2.0_FlashLiteAPIReference2/WS84235ED5-9394-4a52-A098 -EED216C18A66.html ) How to overcome this limitation?
· If we create individual bitmap data for 30 individual PNG files, we find some jerks in scroll. How can we have smooth scrolling?

The number of bitmaps are not 30 always. It can vary in real time and since all PNG files are stored in a remote server which are also vary during runtime; so we can not predefine the number of child movieclips. It could be 10 at some duration and may be 20 at some other time.
