Create table from XML schema
HI,
is there any possibilty to create a relational table from a XML schema?
Can you use a schema when we compose XML doc from Database tables?
Actually, I'm using SQL Server (sorry, wrong forum). But, I thought a Java tool would have a solution for me.

How to create table for XML schema-based Interface form
Hi All,
With tcode SFP to crate a XML schema-based Interface form, how to create a defined table can be listed in "Data View"?
Just like APAP Dictonary- Based Interface form, that we can drag a defined table from data view to the panel.Hi,
Just follow these steps:
1. Create interactive form UI element in your view.
2. Now provide Datasource and PDFSOURCE to it in form properties.
3. Now give a template name prefix with 'Z' or 'Y'.
4. Double click on it. It will prompt for interface name.
5. Provide interface name prefixed with 'Z' or 'Y'.
6. Click on Context button in the Pop up window and provide the node you have selected as DATASOURCE.
7. Click ok and it will open the form designer.
8. In this way you can create a XML Schema based Form.
9. Activate the interface and design the form providing layout type and other details.
Hope it will help.

I am wondering if it is possible to create a bean from an XML Schema that I have defined in JDeveloper. In BEA Weblogic xml beans are automatically generated for you when you create a schema.
What I am trying to do is create a web service that has an input of an xml document based off the schema I have created. But I don't know how to specify that as an input.
Thanks.Asking a similar question I was guided to TopLink 10.1.3 in this thread:
ADF Faces: Paginated Table backend (EA15)
I looked at XMLBeans but was surprised to find out that it does not generate JavaBean compliant javabeans which caused problems with JSF.
I have been using Castor, http://castor.exolab.org/, I don't know about it integrating with JDeveloper.
TopLink would be the most obvious choice if you need to integrate with JDeveloper. Keep in mind that it is TopLink's XML to JavaBean functionality is new but Oracle has been working with XML for a while. XMLBeans is also a young technology. Castor has been around for many years.
Good Luck,

Unable to create xml from xml schema
JDeveloper 10.1.3 EA1
I am unable to create a new xml file from an xml schema when the starting root element is a complex type (but it works with a simple type). It does not matter if the xml schema is registered within JDeveloper.
Is this a bug or intended behaviour?
Error message:
''XML Document from XML Schema creation could not be competed succesfully. Make sure the source schema is valid and that you have write permissions to the output directory."
NB The xml schema is valid and I have write permissions on the specified directory. When I do not register this (or other) schema with JDeveloper, I can create an xml document from xml schema. However, when I register this schema and then try to generate an xml document (either from the registered xsd either from a filesystem xsd) with person as starting node it fails with the mentioned error. However, when I use city as starting node it is generated successfully.

APEX How do I create a Form based on a Database Table from other schema
My APEX schema is WISEXP. I have a database table that resides in WISDW schema on the same database. I want to create Tabular form based on this table.
I am not able to create a FORM based on the table from WISDW schema. I am able to create a FORM based on SQL though from this table in WISDW schema - but it does not do any action on Update/Insert rows.
Appropriate Synonyms and grants are created. Is there a limitation or am I missing something? Please advise.
thanks
RupenIf Rupen is using 2.2 or 2.2.1, it is likely he is running into the bug described here: Re: Workspace to Schema Assignments
In that case, it may be a necessary and sufficient workaround to assign the foreign schema to the workspace.

Thanks,When you give CREATE ANY TABLE TO A then user A will create table on any schema. But you can create stored PROCEDURE on schema B for creating table and give GRANT EXECUTE <PROC NAME> to A. -
How to identify objects created by registering xml schema
Hi Everyone,
We are using Oracle 9i Rel2. I have registered an XML schema and I saw that there were several objects created for it table ,some types and a trigger . For some build purposes I want to exclude all of these objects which are associated with xml schema and should be able to drop and recreate the whole of oracle schema.
I see the user_types table does not have any parameter to indicate that these are autogenerated or are different. In user_types they look like any other type that a user would have created. Do any of you know how to differentiate these types created by registering XML schemas from the normal types.
Thanks for your helpThere is no way I know of to differentiate between a type created by Schema Registration and another Type. You can query the XML Schema itslef to get the Typenames it relies on.

Accessing tables from different schema in CDS and AMDP
Hi All,
We are working on a HANA system which has several schema replicated from SAP R/3/Non SAP systems. We have BW 7.4 SP9 deployed on the same system and accessing the HANA views using latest BW virtual objects such as Open ODS , Composite providers etc.
We are also using the BW system for few ABAP based data processing developments. We are currently accessing HANA views in ABAP programs by creating dictionary views based on external HANA views.
We would like to however use recent possibilities of CDS and AMDP for better life cycle management of ABAP based solutions. The open SAP course on this subject was of very good help. Thanks a lot "open SAP team" for that. I would however have few open questions,
As I understand AMDP gives us full flexibility of writing sql procedures within ABAP development environment, but can we access tables from different schema into AMDP code. If yes, then sample code would help.
If the answer of first question is yes, then how do we manage transports between development and production systems where the schema names would be different. Currently in open HANA developments, such transport is manged using Schema mapping.
Can I also use different schema tables in CDS views.
We are updating few tables in ABAP dictionary after applying processing logic in ABAP program as detailed in step 1. With the new approach using AMDP, can we directly update database schema tables which will give us an optimization advantage.
New ABAP HANA program interfaces are quite promising and we would like to use them to optimize many data intensive applications.
Thanks & Regards,
AnilHi Anil,
I can only answer 1. and 2. (and would be interested into 3. as well):
1.
Yes you can access tables from a different schema and also HANA views. In this case no 'using' is needed.
Examples:
RESULT = SELECT
FROM
"SAP_ECC"."T441V" AS t,
"_SYS_BIC"."tmp.package/AFPO" AS a.
WHERE ...
2. In this case, if you need schema mapping: You could use HANA (projection) views which just forward to a different schema, also see example.
Best regards,

How do I move a table from one schema to another schema?
How do I move a table from one schema to another schema?
Grant access to the table from the source schema to destination schema.
GRANT SELECT ON <TABLE_NAME> TO <DESTINATION SCHEMA>A simple way would be to use CREATE Table with select syntax (in destination schema)
CREATE TABLE <TABLE_NAME> AS SELECT * FROM <SOURCE SCHEMA>.<TABLE_NAME><li>However, you would be in <b><u>trouble when the table has index, constraints and triggers</u></b>.
So you can better of grab the DDL statement of the table(and any additional components) andd then create the table in the destination schema. You can use SQL developer, Toad or Apex's Object browser for this.
After the table is created, Insert the records using SELECT.
INSERT INTO <TABLE_NAME> SELECT * FROM <SOURCE SCHEMA>.<TABLE_NAME>This question is discussed in great detail in this <b>AskTom thread</b> -
XML Document from XML Schema Bug
When an XML document is generated from an XML Schema the XML document does not have all the elements specified in the XML Schema. The XML document only has the root element.
1. Register an XML Schema.
2. Create an XML document with File>New>General>XML>XML Document from XML Schema. The "Generate only Required Elements" is unchecked.
3. The XML document has only the root element.
In JDeveloper 10.1.3 all the elements in the XML Schema get generated. Also, the component palette for the XML document generated from the XML Schema does not list all the elements in the XML Schema, only the root element is listed. Even if elements are specified as required in the XML Schema with minOccurs="1" and the "Generate only Required Elements" checkbox is selected only the root element gets generated.

Java code to generate XML File from XML Schema
Hi I need this asap... "Java code to generate XML File from XML Schema i.e XML Schema Definition, XSD file".
Thankz in advance...JAXB has been available as an early release download for some time. There are also XML Binding packages available from Borland (JBuilder) and Castor. These tools create Java classes from a source document, xml,dtd etc. You can use these classes to marshal-unmarshal XML documents.
