Create widgets

how to create new widgets in muse widgets library.

Hi
You can use pre-built widgets in Muse that you can find under widgets panel.
If you want to create your own, then you would need to create Mucow file and add to library items in Muse.

  • How do I resolve Firefox crashing when IMVU client tries to Create Widget?

    Firefox 3.6.13 running on Windows Vista 64 bit service pack 2
    Intel Core 2 Duo p8700 @ 2.53 GHz with 4 GB RAM and plenty of available memory. IMVU client version 456.14 will occasionally crash either itself or Firefox and the error pinpoints to a Create Widget attempt as the root cause. IMVU's technical support is worse than a joke at the moment and couldn't even understand the problem, though I'm sure it's their software causing it.
    I've included some extra information from Crash Report Helper since this seems external to Firefox itself. Perhaps that will help you pinpoint the cause

    Hi Aquil0,
    If there was any way to access the library, I'd think it would be through a Captivate Variable (Accessed via movieHandle I would guess).
    Pipwerks has a rather extensive list of Captivate Variables, but none of the ones listed there seem to access the library. You could try following the pattern and seeing if  'cpLibrary' or something similar exists.
    I'm very interested to see if this problem can be fixed, because this is probably one of the main roadblocks in creating a drag and drop question widget. I had thought before that you would have to pull in a image file from the server, and I'm a bit disappointed to hear it doesn't work for IE6.
    Just out of curiosity. Could you share how you passed the image information into the widget XML? Anything regarding Widget parameters generaly interests me.

  • How to create widget Dynamically at run time using action script

    i have created  widget's in my application . but in the main page i want only selected widgets to be displayed..
    lets say i have 3 categories of users for which i've created 3 widget groups i.e. search , update , report. with in these groups i have number of widgets. if user belongs to searchUser category only search widget group has to be displayed in my main page, if user belongs to updateUser group i want to display search and update widget group in my main page and so  on..
    thanx

    Assuming these widgets are always on your main page, you could bind the visible parameter of the widget to variable, and then set that variable depending on the users group.  So you could mark your groups search =1, update =2, report =3.  Have a Bindable variable that you can set corrisponding to the group of the current user
    [Bindable]private var groupLevel:int;
    then in your search widget tag, set the visible parameter like so visible={(groupLevel>=1)?true:false}
    user widget would be visible={(groupLevel>=2)?true:false}
    and report widget visible={(groupLevel==3)?true:false}
    that should allow the widget so appear for the appropriate group.

  • User created widgets? YES!

    Just a quick suggestion for iBooks - It would very helpful to let users create widgets [for personal use in their own book or) to share with other authors.
    Something similiar to Adobe Exchange where you can go download plugins for Adobe apps, is what I am talking about here and hoping to see with iBooks. The couple widgets that already exist in iBooks is just NOT ENOUGH. Please consider this idea, Apple. It would definitely make iBooks Author more user friendly.
    Thanks.

    Apple used to have something vaguely like what you suggest - it seems to have died back in 2009, as I recall.
    Now, it's the Mac App Store - search there on: widget - I see 20 there now, but no idea if they are iBA applicable as-is, etc.
    As always, tho (and since Apple doesn't monitor here), feel free to use the 'Provide iBooks Author Feedback' menu item for features you'd like added in the future, etc.

  • Creating Widgets for Google Services like Reader, ...

    How can I create widgets like this on my phone?
    http://store.ovi.com/content/70180
    Although N8's browser fully supports Google Reader/Calendar as an apple iphone, google redirects you to a page that have very basic functionalities on these services.
    Since google have very good support for these services on Android/Apple phones, i have searched and found these URLs for Google Reader/Calendar that has full functionalities on N8.
    Google Reader : www.google.com/reader/i/?source=mog&gl=us
    Google Calendar: http://www.google.com/calendar/gp?source=mog&gl=us
    After that i created bookmarks for these on my phone and put shortcuts of these on my home screen but my problem is icons for the bookmarks are the same. can someone help me create some widgets like the one above or at least change icons of the bookmarks?

    as an update, I wanted to add that when firefox gets stuck, in the status bar at the bottom, it will usually say that it is trying to load ajax.googleapis.com (or something like that).
    I have also started opening the console in firefox (cmd+opt+k) to watch the behavior of sites when they load. Under the network tab in console, google type sites will take 76000+ ms to load. i am only beginning to use the console and don't know exactly what to do with it yet, so i will be experimenting and updating as i learn more.
    if i experience a loading hang with a google site in firefox, clearing the cache/history does not work. however, it seems like if i quit and restart firefox, the google site will then load. i am unsure whether this "clears" something in the browser or just gives the connection enough time to fix whatever is causing the hang.
    other possibilities: in console it seemed like one of the delayed site attributes was a javascript from google (a .js file) - it took 70000+ ms to load. perhaps there is a problem with javascript?

  • Created widget is not entering in the SAP system.

    I have created a simple widget to directly enter in the se38 transaction in SAP-ABAP.I have created 2 files.
    My tra.sap file contains---[System]
    Name="AD4"
    Client="100"
    [User]
    Name="in016508"
    Password="mandar"
    Language=EN
    [Function]
    Command=SE38
    Title=ABAP Editor
    Type=Transaction.
    And my se38.kon file contains --
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <widget version="4.5" minimumVersion="2.1">
       <debug>off</debug>
       <window title="Shortcut Widget">
           <name>ShortCut</name>
           <width>128</width>
           <height>128</height>
           <visible>1</visible>
       </window>
       <image src="winter.png">
         <name>IconImage</name>
         <onMultiClick>
                filesystem.open("tra.sap");
         </onMultiClick>
       </image>
    </widget>
    After executing with the help of yahoo widget engine,the widget is not able to login in SAP sysytem and giving error message as--
    Input field contains prohibited characters(already deleated).
    If the user is already loged on the system then widget is running fine.
    widget foundation is also installed on the system.
    So what is the appropriate solution to this problem?

    Jaideep,
    Your widget is good, but I guess takes into account the standard saplogon.ini
    But what if we are not given an saplogon.ini and we just configure the SAPlogon via User Definable way, without a saplogon.ini? Then it will not find our system list (i.e. BW8) on saplogon.ini, thus widget will not work.
    When executing main.sap (by the way on your article you state execute main.kon, which is wrong. It should be main.sap. When i execute, it comes back with a SAPGUI popup warning.
    Logon to SAP failed.
    The System description 'BW8' cannot be found in the system list.
    Make sure that saplong.ini exists and choose an existing description in the system list
    We do not use saplogon.ini files.
    Regards,
    James

  • Creating Widgets not working

    I have followed the instructions to begin creating a widget but after I click OK on the "Create a new widget" box, nothing happens. I have Adove Flash CS4 and Captivate 6.

    You can create animations in Flash, but be careful to choose AS3 because CP6 only supports that version. However, widgets allow communication between Captivate and the widget. Have a look at InfoSemantics website, they have a great widget API, maybe you'll find the information you are looking for over there:

  • Create Widget Test Reports.vi

    Someone please Help!! Please see the attached file.
    Download that file and see how it works. I am developing an application similar to the same example,however, I want to append more data to the word document. Also, I want to format it the same way as is done in the example. For example, I want to have multiple tables in the same word document with the Table Titles one after the other followed by the table. Can anyone help? Please reply asap. Thanks in advance.
    Attachments:
    LV-Word2.zip ‏382 KB

    Hello,
    You should be able to modify this example to generate multiple tables. The reason it only generates one table in its current state is that it is only generating one Table Refnum from the "Format New ATE Doc" VI. If you include this subVI in your For Loop, you will generate multiple tables. Of course there will be other changes you need to make, but this should help you get started in the right direction.
    Also, if you are going to be performing a lot of Report Generation with Microsoft Word, you may want to look into purchasing our Report Generation Toolkit for Microsoft Office, which makes it very easy to program report generation...you won't even need to worry about the ActiveX side of things, because it is already taken care of. You can learn more abou
    t this toolkit at www.ni.com/catalog.
    I hope this answer helps. Good luck, and have a pleasant day.

  • Can a Salesforce lead be created automatically upon completion of an Echosign widget?

    I have created an Echosign widget that is hosted on my website to collect information from potential customers. I would like the information collected in that widget to be sent to Salesforce to create a new lead. Much of the documentation I see is how to send a document from inside Salesforce. I want the relationship to flow the opposite direction where EchoSign pushes information to Salesforce and creates a new lead upon submission.

    see the chapter
    Updating Salesforce with Push Agreements
    of the installation and customization guide. (page 83 of the v16 guide)
    You can use Adobe Document Cloud eSign API to send agreements for signature or create Widgets and
    embed them on your website and have all those agreements pushed and created in Salesforce.com just as if
    they were sent from Salesforce.com. You can also send agreements via the echosign.adobe.com web
    application and have them all pushed back to Salesforce.
    Note: This feature is not supported in Salesforce Professional Edition.
    if the agreement is signed by an email address which is ot yet a contact in your instance, it can be created as a lead.

  • Creating a widget that shows youtube movies

    Hi All,
    I'm trieing to create a captivate widget, usein widgetfactory, that can play youtube content in my project. So far I've succeeded in creating an AS3 script that loads a youtube move and places it on the stage. Here's a part of the code i use in stagemode:
    override protected function initiate():void {
       super.initiate();
       WidgetDebugger.debug("MainStage class");
       r = new myRect();
       r.addEventListener(Event.ADDED_TO_STAGE, myInit);
       addChild(r);
      public function myInit(e:Event):void {
       p = new youTubePlayer();
       addChild(p);
    my idea was to add r as a movieclip to the stage and add p, the youtube player, to it as a child. When i run this as a standalone swf it works. But when i try to load the youtube movie into a widget nothing shows up. Anyone any ideas? Or someone who can point me to a site where i can find more information about creating widgets using widgetfactory (Allready looked at CPGURU an WidgetKing).
    Thanks,
    Dennis

    Xcode is not really meant for building widgets. Widgets are built primarily with html, css and javascript. You can code them by hand or you can get a copy of the recently released "Dashcode" beta.
    Dashcode is a development tool specifically for building widgets. It is supposed to be released along with Leopard but Apple recently released a beta that's supposed to run in Tiger (I haven't tried it yet). If you've signed up for a free online developer account at Apple Developer Connection you can logon and download the beta.
    Steve
    PS - by the way, if you go to Apple Developer Connection and do a search for "widget" you'll get some hits on Dashboard tutorials and programming guides (these are not geared toward "Dashcode" and should be useful even if you're handcoding your widget)

  • Is there a way to use a statically defined appearance stream in a dynamically created annotation?

    Hello,
    I want to create a document with cascading 'popups'.  Not the built-in text-only popup, but an annotation containing an appearance stream that defines text and images.  I'm currently using widget annotations based on a pushbutton field.
    Each page in my document has many citations that refer to other pages in the document.  When a user hovers over the citation, I want a 'popup' to appear containing a depiction of the destination.  However, as the destination will itself have citations, I also want the 'popup' to contain citations that the user can hover over, triggering another popup, etc.  In this way, a user could navigate throughout the document without leaving the page or even clicking the mouse.
    Obviously, with even a modest number of citations per page, pre-calculating and statically defining all of these widgets causes a combinatorial explosion, making the document sluggish and very large.
    Instead, I'd like to statically define appearance streams once per document, and then dynamically create annotations and assign the appropriate appearance stream using JS as the user navigates.
    So far I've created a named AP in the names dictionary, but I haven't been able to use it to dynamically set an appearance stream of a dynamically created widget annotation.
    Also, I've called Doc.getIcon(), passing in the named AP, which returns an Icon object.  However, after field.buttonSetIcon() and passing in the named AP, the button does not display the icon.
    Is there a way to use a statically defined appearance stream in a dynamically created annotation?
    Thank you,
    Dave

    Hi George, I've gotten named APs to work, and I expect hidden buttons will follow.  Thank you very much!
    Quick follow-up - I will have many documents embedded within the same pdf file, and some of these documents will contain identical popups.  However, I don't want to store identical icons in each document on account of file size.
    Instead, I'd like to store one instance of each icon for all documents in the file.
    Can I store all of the icons in a single document, and then access them by calling <DocName>.getField().getIcon() from any document in the file?
    Thank you again,
    Dave

  • How to create pop-up text boxes?

    Hello,
    Does anyone know if it's possible to make pop-up text boxes/windows in iBook Author? For instance, I can click on a text on the layout and a window pop-up with another text, in my case, they're references/citations. If this isn't possible in iBook Author, is there work-around for this, preferably, in iBook Author itself instead of creating widgets/imagest for every instance of the references. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Hoa

    The glossary offers this capability. However, using it for that purpose might be a bit confusing, especially if you also have "real" glossary entries.
    I'm not aware of any other way to create a pop-up.
    Michi.

  • How do I make it so that people can download my widget?

    Okay, so I tried the zip thing right? and it worked and it got downloaded, but my computer says: Unable to unarchive "MyWidget'sname.zip" into "Desktop" (Error 1 - Operation not permitted.) Thats what it says. So I thought It was in the wrong format. So, then I just tried uploading it on the server (geocites) just with it's .wdgt tag and then the server said wrong file. Then I said no, your wrong! but it naturally didn't listen to me. Any ideas? Oh and by the way, it does work on mine. The icon on my widget file looks just like the other widgets. Please help!!!
