Create XML form in a collaboration room?

I've created a XML form, and I'd like to be able to create documents based on this form directly in a collaboration room document area. Currently, I'm only able to create Links, Text and HTML documents, as well store uploaded documents into the document folder.
Can the room UI be enhanced to allow this functionality? If so, can someone give me a push in the right direction? KM configuration is such a large area, it's difficult to know where to start.
I believe that the AppDocumentExplorer layout set is used to render the body of the document folder, but I'm not sure what controls the menu.
Suggestions?

I found the answer - you have to add the command group 'CreateXMLFormsGroup' to command group 'AppDocumentNewGroupSubCollection'. Once that's done, the 'Forms' submenu will show up in the 'New' menu.

Create XML Form Resource with Repository Framework API

Hi KM Experts,
What's the procedure to create an XML Form Resource based on an exisitng XML Form Type?
I'm working with SAP EP 6 SP2 so I assume I need to use following interfaces:
IXMLForm
IXMLFormManager
IXMLFormsService
But how do I create a new resource of XMLForm type ...

XML form field choice list to be populated by collaboration room names

I would like to create a news form used within collaboration rooms where one field should include the name of the room where the news entry is created.
Preferably this should be done automatically as works for date and author fields ($date, $sap_user), but could also be done manually if there is a way to populate the list with all available room names. If so, how do I get these to show up in the XML forms builder. There is a property 'Room' with sub-property 'Name' in the builder's property menu, but I can't see how to use this to get the room name displayed in the form.

Thanks! After working with the example you sent me, I was able to get it to work -- great! However, this method seems to overwrite all the other XML in my xfa:data -- not great!

It looks like the data the script loads is overwriting all of my other xfa:data. This is quite bad, as my process is dependent upon this data. Is there a way to append the dropdownlist data to the xfa:data, or perhaps load it into another node, rather than overwriting the existing xfa:data elements?

Hi,
If u want to create your own property do the following:
Create a property group and a document property with the permitted values(ie. you want to display in the dropdown list box in XFB).
<b>To create a Group:</b>
For that, goto System Administration -> System Configuration -> Knowledge Management -> Content Management -> Global Services -> Property Metadata -> Groups -> New -> Give Name for the Group -> Ok
<b>To Create a property Values:</b>
System Administration -> System Configuration -> Knowledge Management -> Content Management -> Global Services -> Property Metadata -> Properties -> New -> Give values to Unique ID, Description, Data type, Group (What u have created in the Group, select that from the dropdown list box), select maintainable check box, Default Value and Allowed Values.
To reload the properties from the configuration in the XML forms Builder,use the secondary mouse button to click on Properties on the tab page Data Model, and then choose Reload Properties or just close and open the XML Form Builder once. The property appears under the name of the group. Create a combobox control with a reference to the property on the Edit form.
Finally, your own properties will displayed in XML Form Builder.

cRoom templates are defined in portal.
Check with your portal team. They can provide you the path and details of cRoom templates.

Filter Predefined Properies, Feedback Search, XML Forms Show form issues

Hi all,
I have created XML forms with XML builder and I have some questions.
1. When filtering by predefined properties I want to filter by two properties, which are the same. For example, if there is a publication with two authors and author is the predefined property, in the first field I write the name of the first author, in the second field I write the name of the second author, the result is all publications, which are by both authors and all publication, which are either by the one, or by the other.
I don't have this problem when I filter by two different predefined properties. For example the author and the year. Than the result is all publication, which are by the author AND published in the requested year.
How can I set this option to be able to filter by two same predefined properties and the relation between both properties to be AND?(only publications by both author)
2. In the Show form I have created link to the feedback, using XML Forms BUilder, but I need to write first the feedback to be able to see already existing feedbacks,
if there are any. In the ResourceRendering Form I have created link to the feedback by LayoutSet, where I can see first, if there are already existed feedbacks.
If there is any possibility to set a LayoutSet for the Show Form or any other way in the Show form to display first the existing feedbacks and than to be able to write a new.
And something else reffering to the Show form, is it possible to rate the item from Show form or at least to have link to the rating, not a link to the Details.
I have tried to create a link to the /Properties/col:rating, but it doesn't work. The link dispays the value, if it has been already rated.
3. Is it possible to search for any information in the feedbacks(to make the feedback searchable)?

i have created one xml form using form builder...there are three views..edit, renderer list and show....then in portal, i created one iview using newsexplorer layout set for edit form and newsbrowser layout set for show form . My problem is...wich layout set i have to choose for getting rendererlist form? one more thing, before creating iviews, should i have to create any folder in km repository ? i am using ep 6 sp2.

There are some steps that you could follow :
1. Create the XML FORMS using the XML FORMS Builder
    a) On Edit panel create your form that will be visible on NewsExplorer Layouset.
    b) On RenderList create how your form wil be visible on NewsBrowser Layouset.
2. Create first Iview for Admin:
   a) Set the layouset to "NewsExplorer"
   b) Set the "Path to Initially Displayed Folder" to "/MyFolderForXMLFORM"
   c) Set the "Path to Initially Displayed Folder" to "/MyFolderForXMLFORM"
3. Create second Iview for users:
   a) Set the layouset to "NewsBrowser"
   b) Set the "Path to Initially Displayed Folder" to "/MyFolderForXMLFORM"
   c) Set the "Path to Initially Displayed Folder" to "/MyFolderForXMLFORM"
That's all! Now you can create new items using the Admin iView, which will be storage on KM path that you had set on steps 2 and 3. When you open your User Iview will be show all xml files that exists on your "/MyFolderForXMLFORM".

How to change the Hyper links color in the XML form

HI SDNs
Do u have any idea how to change the hyperlink color in the xml form. My requirement is as follows.I have created xml form by using xml template and i displayed this xml form by using Km document iview. I need tochange the hyper link color in the xml form content. I dont want to go for manual process by editing the xml form. because i have several hundreds of xml forms.

The most convenient way to change the hyper links is by using the Theme Editor. Go to System Administration --> Portal Display --> Select Theme --> Component-Specific Styles --> Links --> Function/Result Link.

XML Form Builder-How to access data saved from a form?

Hi All,
I created a form in XML Form Builder. This form include checkboxes and input fields.
Also i include a Save button.
I used this form in a iView.
Many users will access this iView and save their input data.
So, after the user Save this data, in the KM folder , is created a XML form where i can see the inputed data.
So for every user's Save is created a XML form .
The question is,
how can i collect all these data for each created XML form, so as i can process them?
Please i will appreciate if anybody has any documentation or can give me step-by step instruction .

You can directly use query in form personalization Conditions like
select date_probation_end from per_assignments_x where person_id = :PERIOD_OF_SERVICE.PERSON_ID
and put in your condition like if you want to validate Probation end date is less then sysdate then in condition put in like.
TRUNC(SYSDATE) < (select TRUNC(date_probation_end) from per_assignments_x where person_id = :PERIOD_OF_SERVICE.PERSON_ID)
set the error message.

Hi Jasmine,
XML forms are suited to document types that always have an identical or a similar structure. For example, a news item always has a title, author, creation date, and body text.
It is just like an application form. The text given by the authors are got using these forms, so that there is some format or pattern followed.
XML forms are like Templates, using which data are entered. The data entered can be resrticted to suit some conditions, for example, date format.

IView error in XML Forms

Hello, I am currently working on the following tutorial for XML Forms: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/documents/a1-8-4/creating xml forms 6.0
I have created the forms in XML. However, when I save my project, I get a message which says, "The consistency check reported errors or warnings. Do you want to Save anyway?", to which I hit "Yes". Then I went to "Content Administration" > "Portal Content" > "temp" and created an iView named "News Authoring". I did apply all the 4 settings mentioned in the tutorial. Then when I preview the iView, I get a message which says: "Item not found - /documents/myTest1". (myTest1 is the name of my project)
I checked under "/documents" and I could not see "myTest1". I am a bit new to iViews and Forms and hence I am not able to identify where exactly I am going wrong. Can anyone please help me?

Thanks for all your help Patrick. I did go to "Documents" and create the folder. So now, when I preview the iView, I don't get any error message. I am working on XML Forms because I need to design an XML Form which accepts input from the user. When the user clicks on the "Send" button in the XML Form, the data needs to be sent by email as well as saved. Can you please point me in the right direction? it is hard to help you by just reading your error message - but:
It seems that you mapped an XML node to some text control in your form.
Could you remove all mappings and try again? If it works, please add your mappings step by step and see when the error occurs.
