Created serializable object, but get "Class not found" on "createObjectMessage()" cal

I'm using OC4J 9.0.2.1 and JDeveloper 9.0.2 with Oracle db. I have a set of queues created in the database.
Before I try to send my request, I create an instance of the serializable object I want to send. I do all of my queue connection setup, then I call:
queueSession.createObjectMessage(request);
Where "queueSession" is a QueueSession obtained from "queueConnection.createQueueSession()".
When I step over this function call, I get the following:
oracle.jms.AQjmsException: JMS-109: Class not found: com.attws.it.bsa.felix.mci.common.ServiceInfoRequest
(The indicated class name is the type of the "request" object.)
What could I be doing wrong?

Errors with CF 8.0.1 hotfix 3 and hotfix 4, "Object Instantiation Exception.Class not found"

We need to get our servers up to date with the latest ColdFusion hotfixes in order to pass our security scans and policies. We have been following the Adobe instructions for installing the hotfixes, but we’re getting the same errors each time. The CF 8 hotfix 2 works fine, but once we install hotfix 3 and/or hotfix 4, we get the following errors:

We have dozens of servers running Windows XP, Netscape Enterprise Server 6.1 (I know, don’t laugh), ColdFusion 8,0,1,195765, and Java Version 1.6.0_04. Just about the only good thing about running XP on our servers is that it matches our development boxes, so we have almost mirrored environments for dev, test, and production. We do NOT have the CF install with the J2EE configuration.
The crazy thing is, on tech note 51180 (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/511/cpsid_51180.html), it says that the fix for bug # 71787 (Fix for "Object Instantiation Exception" thrown when calling a Java object constructor or method with a null argument under JDK 1.6.) was added in cumulative hotfix 2. However we don’t see this problem until we go to hotfix 3 (or 4).
I’ve also been reading that other people had this same problem, and that the CF 8 hotfix 3 was not compatible with certain versions of JDK, then when you read the Adobe site for CF 8.0.1 hotfix 3, it says “Added the updated cumulative hotfix to make it compatible with jdk 1.4.x, 1.5.x and 1.6.x.”, so that makes me think that Adobe was supposed to have fixed this CF 8.0.1 hotfix 3 JDK incompatability issue - but unfortunately it's still not working for us. We have followed the instructions for removing the jar files and starting/restarting the CF server as directed, we’ve tried this 5-6 times, and still no luck.
Recommendations? Seems like this is a ColdFusion bug to me – one that says is fixed on the Adobe site, but is not fixed in our environment. Please advise, thanks.

For what it's worth, we had an MXUnit user describe a similar, though not identical, problem after installing the latest hotfixes. In his case, he's getting "NoSuchMethodExceptions".

POWL- Create object for feeder class not found

Getting class not found error running java application using OIM libraries

I have created a java application in which I access OIM libraries to fetch user list and then assign user roles. As i run the application it generates exception and program crashes. I resolved the problem by making spring.jar part of my executable jar file. I have added oimclient.jar, spring.jar, wlfullclient.jar, commons-logging.jar, and eclipselink.jar part of my executable jar. Now I am getting the error below. I googled it and it mentioned that i should add path of authwl.conf in my run configuration in eclipse. So i added the following line in " -Djava.security.auth.login.config=/u01/oracle/Middleware/Oracle_IDM1/server/CustomExec/authwl.conf " under the VM Arguments section of run configuration, but it continues to give the same error.

Tried to download Firefox twice but get "page not found" when I double click on the desktop icon

Have no idea why Firefox won't download. I have Windows XP (home version) with plenty of space on my hard drive. I want to change from using Internet Explorer to Firefox.

Lookout 6.0.1.: Class Not Found when trying to open project on another PC

I am familiar with lookout, however I have taken this project over so I am not sure what I need to do from here.

There are two object (DirectLogic and Meter) that are not present on the amchine you are moving the process to. If the same version of Lookout, you might be able to just copy the cbx files.

Not able to start the remote server - class not found exception

That's a remote exception coming from the registry. You need to learn to recognize remote exceptions and their source, it's a mjaor source of confusion in RMI.
In this case it's the registry that can't find the stub class.
The stub class needs to be in the CLASSPATH of (i) the Registry and (ii) the client as well. Ditto the remote interface; ditto any application classes it refers to, and so on until closure.
The easiest way to achieve (i) is to start it in the server's JVM, with LocateRegistry.createRegistry().

"Class not found" error at runtime when ExternalLib DC is included in WD DC

Hi All,
I am getting "Class not found" exception at runtime when external library DC is included in Webdynpro DC.
I am following the below steps..
1) Created a Webdynpro DC - "testProj" to which i need to add the external library DC.
2) Created a DC of type "External Library" called "externaljar"
3)Added Public Parts of type assembly and compilation to the "externaljar" DC (Component Properties Tab -> Public Parts)
4) Right click on the assembly Public Part name -> Manage entities, and added the JAR files as archive.
5)Right click on the compilation Public Part name -> Manage entities, and added the JAR files as archive.
6)Go to Webdynpro DC "testProj" .
Under Component Properties Tab -> Dependencies tab -> Add -> selected the "externaljar" DC -> Next -> for "externaljar" DC checked Deploy time and Run time.
For assembly Public Part and compilation Public Part "build" is selected by default.
7) I did build of both the DC's and deployed it.
Im getting "Class not found" error.
Please let me know where i am going wrong.

If I add Jar files in build path, at run time I dont get any errors, but I get error at comple time. So an external DC is made which includes all jar files in its public part and this DC is added as dependency in the webdynpro project (at deploy time,run time) as in below blog.

Class not found exception for the startup class defined.

iam using weblogic server 10 and bea jrockit 1.5.0.12.
i have created a startup class in the admin console for a web project and i have deployed the war file using the console in a user defined domains, user project directory.
when i start the server, iam getting class not found exception for the startup class.
But, the startup class is available in the web archive (war). how should we add the classes and jars in the war to the classpath in setDomainEnv.sh or is there any other setting available in the console to enable this.

I was hoping that someone from SAP SDN already tackled this problem and if not someone specialized in J2EE Engine could troubleshoot me from the class problem I'm getting. I don't know if it's specific from the agent or if this ClassNotFound is a general SAP J2EE Engine error relating to a library not correclty defined.

Class not found error on Firefox browser

Requirement:-
We have Apache server on the top of a tomcat container where we have deployed application Webnow. This application will provide SSO to another application Imagenow. The requirement is we have to authenticate and authorize a user based on the client certificate which will be installed on the client side browser.
Issue:-
We have achieved the requirement for the browser IE. But for browser Firefox ,we are getting an exception "Class not found". Basically an applet class from the jar is not getting loaded on the Firefox.
Further investigating on this we came to conclusion that Firefox is not able to read the SSL certificate.
In order to eliminate this, we have imported the client certificate in java console as well. After this step, we were not getting "ClassNotFoundException" in FF. But right now, user is getting prompted for certificate/keystore password each & every time while trying to login onto the application (both in IE & FF).
So, we are trying to find ways to remove class not found exception without importing client certificate to java console. Also , is there any way to eliminate the authentication pop up for keystore (though we might not go for this approach as it will be very difficult to manage Java console for end users). Need your urgent help on this issue.

We have a similar set up where we have a web app and an applet in a JSP page. You have to put your applet classes up above WEB-INF. So, if your structure for your webapp was:
tomcat/webapps/mywebapp
you'd want your classes under mywebapp instead of webapps/mywebapp/WEB-INF. In your case, if I read your package structure right, you'd want a Log directory under webapp that contains your LogApplet.class file.

Class Not Found instantiating IP

[Portal 4.0 on WLS 6.1 on Win2K... ]
I'm getting 'Class Not Found' when instantiating my IP class. The only way I can
work around it is to put "WEB-INF/classes" in the startup classpath, which makes
it not re-deployable.
I've read newsgroups/docs extensively and believe that:
* IPs (as opposed to PCs) are scoped to the web app, not to the enterprise app
* For web apps, the WEB-INF/classes (for exploded files) and WEB-INF/lib (for
Jar'd files) should be 'auto-included' in the classpath, hence the classloader
that portal is using for IP instantiation should find my class...
But that's not what's happening... so where is my understanding faulty and, more
importantly, how can I make portal find my IP class and still have it be hot redeployable?

with a dummy EJB into a separate JAR (unless you programmed the actual EJBs
which you want to package with your PCs) and deploy as a separate component

We include pipeline.jar and p13n_util.jar into the classpath in the ANT
script only. WLP starts without these jars in the class path with no
problems.
Just for a reference: we use WLS 6.1 sp2, WLP 4.0 sp2.

Yes, putting anything in the enterprise application or the web applicationin
the system classpath is not a good idea.

Glad you like it! I wrote that a year ago, and it has helped me onnumerous occasions.
Whenever you have a classloader problem, this thing works magic.

Regretably, yes. There have been several ideas on a better solution, butit hasn't
found its way into the product yet. Until that happens, the secondapproach (changing
the manifest classpath entry) is the preferred approach.

Class not found - ie

When, I compile applets, I continually get class not found errors when I run it from IE... (Status bar says Class (name) not found)
But when I use appletviewer, the applet works fine
The files are where they are supposed to be...
Here's the kicker... I downloaded a class file from the internet, and that works!! Is there something wrong with the compiler??

Class not found during deployment

I'm getting "class not found during deserialization of descriptor" during deployment of an EJB. What does this mean?

The problem is I am trying to use JavaMail in an EJB and it gives me the error if I create a javax.mail.Session. If I comment out the Session, deployment is fine. I am thinking that maybe the problem is I am using 8i version 8.1.5 and it only supports java 1.1.8.

Bean class not found error...

I am using Tomcat 4.0 on windows 98, when I try to use my bean class from jsp program, I get class not found error. I read/followed all the similar problems in the forum but still have not been able to solve the problem.
The error I get is as follows:

Not certain but try putting the classes folder in your classpath:

Class not found error over HTTPS connection

Problem: Facing problem in downloading signed JAR file over HTTPS connection.
While downloading the jar file over a https connection, i get a certificate with following message
" Do you want to accept the certificate from web site <server name> for the purpose of exchanging encrypted information? "
If i accept the ceritificate immediately without any delay, all goes fine. The jar file gets downloaded and the applet runs withoput any problem. But if we accept the certificate after some delay say after one or two minutes i get "Class not found error"
Has anybody come across any such issue ?

I got the same error. I believe the ssl connection has a short timeout.
But I don't think this is a bug because there is no sense in letting a ssl connection open in the initial state before accepting the server's certificate.
