Creating a "Business Service" from a WSDL: Can't initialize WsdlEntryHelper

I'm working through a "HelloWorld" setup of Weblogic (10.0.3.5) and OSB (11.1.1.5.0) using OEPE 11.1.1.7.2.
I have a OSB Project with a Weblogic Web Service. I've generated a WSDL and when I try to copy/paste or drag-and-drop or load the WSDL file through the Business Service Configuration I always get the following error:
Description     Resource     Path     Location     Type
Could not initialize class com.bea.wli.sb.resources.wsdl.helpers.WsdlEntryHelper     HelloWorldService.wsdl     /HelloWorld_SB     line 1     ALSB Synchronization Error
If it helps, the WSDL is linked below. Any ideas? Thanks.
http://pastie.org/3438419

I was able to recreate the test WS project and get to the same error as before. The difference is I didn't create an EAR project nor endpoint interfaces. It published fine with this bare-bones setup.
Can someone please take a look at my steps and see if I'm doing anything wrong and if you know how to get around it? Trying to get just the most simple local WS on OSB has taken days and I really need to get to work on something productive!
I'm pasting my notes below, but since the forum doesn't cooperate with my spacing, I've pasted a more readable version at pastie:

STEPS FOR CREATING A TEST WS
============================
1) File -> New -> WebLogic Web Services -> Web Service Project
a) Project name: Foo_WS
b) Location: C:\workspaces\osb\TEST0_WS
c) Target runtime: Oralce WebLogic Servier 11gR1 PatchSet 4
d) Default Configuration
e) EAR Membership: unchecked
d) Finish
2) Under "Servers" tab, right click the WebLogic Server and add Foo_WS
3) In the "Foo_WS" project Right click 'src' -> New WebLogic Web Service
a) Name: Foo
b) Package: foo
c) Do not check 'Generate Service Endpoint Interface'
d) Click Finish
3) Load Foo.java
a) Change Foo.hello() to return a String and take a String argument
b) Change the class annotation to:
@WebService(name = "Foo", targetNamespace = "http://foo", serviceName = "FooService", portName = "FooPort")
4) Republish to the server
5) Check that it is running, load "http://localhost:7001/Foo_WS/FooService?WSDL". See output:
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?><!-- Published by JAX-WS RI at http://jax-ws.dev.java.net. RI's version is Oracle JAX-WS 2.1.5. --><!-- Generated by JAX-WS RI at http://jax-ws.dev.java.net. RI's version is Oracle JAX-WS 2.1.5. --><definitions xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/" xmlns:tns="http://foo" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" targetNamespace="http://foo" name="FooService">
<types>
<xsd:schema>
<xsd:import namespace="http://foo" schemaLocation="http://localhost:7001/Foo_WS/FooService?xsd=1"/>
</xsd:schema>
</types>
<message name="hello">
<part name="parameters" element="tns:hello"/>
</message>
<message name="helloResponse">
<part name="parameters" element="tns:helloResponse"/>
</message>
<portType name="Foo">
<operation name="hello">
<input message="tns:hello"/>
<output message="tns:helloResponse"/>
</operation>
</portType>
<binding name="FooPortBinding" type="tns:Foo">
<soap:binding transport="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/http" style="document"/>
<operation name="hello">
<soap:operation soapAction=""/>
<input>
<soap:body use="literal"/>
</input>
<output>
<soap:body use="literal"/>
</output>
</operation>
</binding>
<service name="FooService">
<port name="FooPort" binding="tns:FooPortBinding">
<soap:address location="http://localhost:7001/Foo_WS/FooService"/>
</port>
</service>
</definitions>
6) Back to OEPE: Create New OSB Configuration Project: name = Foo_Conf, ignored advanced settings, Finish
7) Add Foo_Conf to the server and publish. Now the OWL Server 11gR1 PatchSet 4 at localhost has 2 projects: Foo_Conf and Foo_WS
8) Create New OSB Project: Project name: Foo_SB, OSB Configuration: Foo_Conf
9) Under Foo_WS project, right click Foo.java -> WebLogic Web Services -> Generate WSDL (created a .wsdl and .xsd)
10) Drag-and-drop FooService.wsdl and FooService_schema1.xsd from Foo_WS to Foo_SB
a) ERROR:
Description Resource Path Location Type
Could not initialize class com.bea.wli.sb.resources.wsdl.helpers.WsdlEntryHelper FooService.wsdl /Foo_SB line 1 ALSB Synchronization Error
...I have no idea how to procede. I've been using "The Definite Guide to SOA 2nd Edition" to guide me along. I'm stuck here because I want
to create a business service and proxy service utilizing the first Web Service Project I made (Foo_WS).
Any advice please?

    Guys,
    You are asking about an issue that was a pain in the nick for me few months ago. The problem is that you won't find mych help here as I figured out that Apex geeks here either did not do much webservices or ended up hating it as i do :) . This is an error that can be due many different reason, let me ask you this:
    1- Does your the other system you are trying to call through webservices using HTTPS ?
    2- If yes, did you create a valid oracle wallet for that https connection ?
    3- Make sure you are using the correct URL ( am sure you do, just double check )
    4- If using a proxy, then you have to define that in the web service reference creation page
    provide more info and I hope I can help you with this,
    Sam

  • Calling an MFL business service from a WSDL proxy service

    Hi,
    I'm using Service Bus v2.6, and trying to call an MFL business service from a wsdl based proxy service.
    I have done the following so far:
    - Define an MFL-based business service that writes MFL messages to a JMS queue and reads reply messages off another queue, and it works when I debug this business service by itself.
    - Define a wsdl proxy service that routes requests to the MFL business service.
    Since the tutorials don't have MFL examples, I'm struggling to get this working. I've tried different ways, but no luck.
    Here's my definition of the route node in the Proxy Service at the moment.
    1. Call a custom XQuery (.xq file) to convert incoming message to an XML representation of the MFL message, and assign the result to a variable "param1"
    2. Use "Service Callout" to call the MFL business service, and set Request Document Variable to "param1" and Response Document Variable to "param2".
    When I debug the flow, param2 (reply) comes up as empty, and I don't know how to make it work.
    I've turned on the JMS trace etc and the JMS bit is working (i.e messages being written, and read by the business service).
    There seems to be something wrong with the way I call it from the proxy service.
    Any help would be much appreciated..
    Thanks

    Hello,
    Can you indicate the classpath that you use to run your client, version of weblogic and the version of jaxrpc api that you are using.
    As a quick experiment adding the jaxrpc jar files to your classpath one at a time.
    This [url http://www.javaworld.com/javaforums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=Enterprisejava&Number=3801&page=12&view=collapsed&sb=9&o=&fpart=1]chap seemed to have a similar problem to you and solved it by adding the jaxprc-spi jar file to his class path. It may be that the jaxrpc-impl is causing you greif.

  • Create XI web service from a WSDL with several operations

    Hi,
    We would like to implement a web service --> XI --> RFC Scenario.
    A external vendor has provided us the WSDL that we have to implement in XI, so they can make the web sevice call.
    The problem is that the WDSL that they provided to us implements 4 operations, and they are asking us to implement all 4 operations in the same web service.
    Is it possible to do such a thing in XI?
    Thanks in advance to all.
    Jorge Fernandez

    Hi Chilla,
    The receiver side will support alll 4 operations. Actually we will use only one operation, but the external vendor has as a requirement to implement all operations in the same web service.
    However, the other 3 operations that we won't use will be threated by the RFC receiver.
    Any help of how to implement this scenario? Actually my doubts are in building the web service that implements all operations.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How to create a mock service from WSDL through J developer

    Hi All,
    I want to create a mock service from available WSDL through J developer. The thing is, the WSDL doesn't have any endpoints associated with it. But, I have a requirement where I have to create a mock service from the WSDL and it should be deployed into local server for testing purpose. What is the procedure for creating mock service? The WSDL has two operations request and response, whenever the bpel sends some input to it, the WSDL has to return some response.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    Create a new web project then create a new "Java web service from WSDL"... This will generate the service for you in java... Edit the code to insert the mock data to be returned... Deploy the web project and should be all that you need...

  • Creating web service from existing WSDL - why wsimport?

    Hi folks,
    I'm using Netbeans 6.0 to "Create a web service from an existing WSDL..".
    The problem is: it creates a new service with a NEW WSDL. I don't want it to do this, since I'm relying on a client to send a message conformant to the old WSDL. I'd noticed that in the jaxws-build.xml file, it's using wsimport instead of wsgen.
    Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can tell Netbeans to create the service using the original WSDL (not generate a new one)? Do I have to use wsgen instead?

    If you are under support contract, could you file a support issue at
    http://support.bea.com/ and then post the case #? Thanks.

    Hello Mithun,
    Does this section in the documentation help you:
    SAP Cloud Applications Studio Help -> Developers Desktop -> Web Services
    The entry "Task -> Create a Web Service" describes how to create a Web Service on your own BO
    The entry "Task -> Test a Web Service" helps you how you can use it in a foreign tool / application.

  • Parse errors while creating a Web service from Java class!

    Can anybody tell me please, is it possible to create a Web Service from java class where the input from user is required ?
    I have the following program, which is successfully compiled, but when I'm trying to make a web service in JDeveloper, the following error occurs:

    Hi,
    Can anybody tell me please, is it possible to create
    a Web Service from java class where the input from
    user is required ?Yes, the parameters of your method will be mapped in WSDL.
    But i've some considerations about your code.
    I suggest you change the name of isPrime do Prime, its a good code convention to put the name of class starting with Upper case. and isn't good the name of class equals to name of method.
    I suggest you to change the "static boolean isPrime (int n)" to "public boolean isPrime(int n)" to publish a method as a WebService method it's must be public and not static. After this change try to generate your Web Service.

  • Any difference in creating a web service from a java class or session bean?

    Hi,
    The JDeveloper tutorial at http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe1013jdev/10131/devdepandmanagingws/devdepandmanagingws.htm demonstrates creating a web service from a plain java class. I'm wondering:
    - Is it possible to create a web service from a stateless session bean instead of a java class? If so, what's the proper way to do this in JDeveloper? When I tried doing so in JDeveloper 10.1.3.0.4 (SU5) using the J2EE Web Service wizard, the wizard did not list the session bean in the Component To Publish dropdown (it does list any java classes available in the project). I can proceed by manually typing in the name of the session bean. After the wizard completes though, the @Stateless annotation that had been in my session bean class code is removed and replaced by a @WebService annotation. The end result is that it looks like it made no difference whether I had tried to create the web service from a session bean or plain java class as the annotations in the resulting web service code are the same (although if I had started from a session bean, the class for the web service still implements the Local/Remote EJB interface that the session bean originally implemented).
    - Assuming it's possible to create a web service from a stateless session bean, is there any advantage/disadvantage creating a web service from a java class vs a stateless session bean? I'm creating the web service from scratch so I also need to either build the java class or stateless session bean the web service would be based on from scratch too.
    Thanks for any ideas about this.

    Hi,
    EJB Session beans (EJB 3.0) are deployed as WebServices by annotating the class with @WebService and the methds with @WebMethod (both tags require you to add the JSR-181 library to your project (available in the JDeveloper list of libraries)). Unlike the J2E WebService, the EJB session bean service is turned into a WebService upon deployment. This means you obtain teh WSDL file after deployment
    - Assuming it's possible to create a web service from a stateless session bean, is there any advantage/disadvantage creating a web service from a java class vs a stateless session bean?
    The difference is that EJB Session bean based web services are integrated with the J2EE container, which means that they can leverage container services like transaction handling, data sources, security, JMS etc.

    hi,
    Finally i have done it with the help of documentation.
    solution is :
    In the service configuration --> Policy -->select OWSM policy bindings (your domain should be configured with OWSM extention))
    select predefined oracle/wss_username_token_client_policy from in the OWSM configuration window
    next login to the em console: http://localhost:7001/em
    In the left hand side pane Go to Weblogic Domain -> select <your domain name>
    In the central pallete Weblogic Domain drop down goto secutiry --> Credentials.
    Here create a map with name : oracle.wsm.security (if not exists)
    Create a key by selecting the map as :oracle.wsm.security
    Key name : Sample_KEY
    Type : password
    Username: The username you are expecting in the soap header
    Password: The password you are expecting in the soap header
    Now go back to your service configuration -> Policy -> select the policy that you have added.
    there you can see the properties button enabled.click on it...
    there for the default_value = basic_credentials give the over_ride value as Sample_KEY (the key name you have mapped to the map)

    Thx for all replys! :)

    Hi,
    you can use this script as an example:

    [String]$SCObjectGUID = "6555226c-5e77-ea85-b79f-05dc8843dcb0"
    #Get Computer-Object by SC Object GUID
    [System.Object]$Computer = Get-SCSMObject -Id $SCObjectGUID -ComputerName $Server
    #Get Relationship Class "Is Related to Configuration Item"
    [System.Object]$Relationship = Get-SCSMRelationshipClass -Name "System.ConfigItemRelatesToConfigItem" -ComputerName $Server
    #Get defined Relationships by target
    [System.Object[]]$RelatedBSs = Get-SCSMRelationshipObject -ByTarget $Computer -ComputerName $Server | where { $_.RelationshipId -eq $Relationship.Id }
    #Create Arrray for Orchestrator Published Data
    $BusinessServiceDisplayNames = @()
    foreach($RelatedBS in $RelatedBS)
        #Add DisplayName of Business Service to Output-Array

  • Using a uddi key to create a business service in OSB

    I want to be able to use a service registry key when creating a business service in OSB. I've found documentation on how to do this in Oracle ESB, but not in OSB.
    From the documentation for OSB, I can only find a way to synchronize the business services imported from the service registry (when i search through the imported services there is no mention of the uddi key that i can see). I can choose to auto-import when setting up the registry, but I'm not sure exactly what this behavior does.
    From the console documentation (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/consolehelp/uddi.html)
    "You can use the Auto-Import Status page to synchronize changes to a service with those present in the registry. Upon any changes to a service in the registry, Oracle Service Bus provides notification of the change on the Auto-Import Status page which lists all out-of-sync services. You can then synchronize the service in the Oracle Service Bus Console with the corresponding service in the UDDI registry."
    This setting seems to automatically update the endpoint of the business service wihtout that administrator having to do anything, but what is actually being done? Is the service bus updating the endpoint as soon as it has been notified of a change or when i view/call the service is the endpoint being looked up?
    Am I missing something??

    I took your advice and re factored the Receive class so it had all the functionality I needed except two methods which would then be overridden in the derived classes. What I had a hard time understanding is once an object of class say SpecialReceive extends Receive it can be referred to as Receive yet still maintain that it's a SpecialReceive.
    What I mean is if I give a Receive object to some method and this method has no idea that this object is actually SpecialReceive and it calls a method say run() which gets overridden by the SpecialReceive. I thought that since this method has no idea what type of Receive this object is it will execute Receive's run(). But it actually does know what type of class it is and it executes the right run() method (the one that SpecialReceive overrides).
    After I realized this there is no more need for casting.
    Thanks everyone for your contributions.

  • How to generate doc/lit/wrapped services from existing wsdl?

    Hello,
    I am using workshop 10.1 to generate webservices from existing wsdl files from workshop 8.1. The existings webservices are based on an xmlbean utility project.
    When I generate the webservice from the existing wsdl file it generates automatically services with doc/lit/bare operations. I found in the known issues that this combination is not supported in combination with xmlbeans.
    See: CR283457
    XBeans are not supported as parameters or return type for doc/lit/bare operations.
    Use of Xbeans as a parameter or return type with doc/lit/bare bindings is not supported in operations or callbacks and will result in a failure during deployment.
    Platform: All
    Workaround: Use doc/lit/wrapped for services that use XBeans as parameters or return types.
    The workaround state to use doc/lit/wrapped for services. My questions is how to do that since workshop has all control over the generation of the webservices? ?:|

    Hi Martijn
    If you do generate web service from the wsdl on a 9.2 project, it always uses jax-rpc types and there's no xmlbeans involved.
    If the wsdl is in the schemas folder and the xmlbeans builder is on, then you also have xmlbeans types created by the builder they aren't being used by the web service. You will still have problems, because some of the xmlbeans types may conflict with the jax-rpc types.
    so when we generate webservice from a wsdl it will never use xmlbeans type, even if the xml builder is on, because WLS doesn't support start from wsdl with xmlbeans types.
    Can you please attach the wsdl and the steps so I can replicate and see the issue?
    Thanks
    Vimala
