Creating a custom menu on a canvas

Is there anyway that I can dispaly a custom menu on canvas?

Tony, the oracle toolbar is fine. Let me describe what I am trying to do. Currently
we are not doing single sign on yet.
I have a login form where a user(s) type in his username & password.
I now have a bunch of forms my user(s) can choose from depending on there job function. I was thinking if I had some sort of a menuing system my user(s) would
be able to pick what form they need. In a previous post I said that I got the pop menu to work and I asked if there is a way to control where the popup menu is displayed(x,y) and is there a way to make it look like it is a separate form or take up the whole window? Could you suggest another way to do this?

Creating a custom menu / security issues

Hi Guys
I am fairly new to R12 Ebusines Financials, and just been on training.
However, its all a bit daunting at the momment.
Currently i am trying to create a purchasing responsibility, with very basic access. Basically I only want them to access PO Change History.
So I have maanged to created this responsibility , create a new menu .
However when the users click on Po Change History and search for a PO, , when they click on the PO link it says that they do not have access to this with the paramaters used?.
Is there a step I am missing to give a user access to this?

Hi Ryan,
Have you done all the setup for the new responsibility created?
Normally, you should assign profile options for custom responsibilities, like e.g. MO: Operating Unit, HR: Business Group, HR: Security Profile etc..
Search for a PO BR100 to identify all the setup required to create a PO Resp.

Can I Create a Custom Menu In Premiere Elements 12?

It's great that Elements 12 has a way to automate menus for a DVD, but so far I can't find one I like. Specifically I want a picture background to fill up the whole screen, just like I can do with a title. Maybe my question should be can I turn a title into a menu by adding markers?
And a related question is do I have to have a main menu and a separate scene selection menu? I am used to creating menus (with Pinnacle) that allow just one menu screen and buttons that can be added (and the "button" can be text or a picture).
Now I'm getting ahead of myself but if I have a scene menu and someone selects a scene, at the end of the scene will it just continue playing or return to the scene menu? It's an option in Pinnacle. I'm hopping it is in Premiere as well because once the scene is done I would rather have it continue to play on like commercial DVDs would if you jumped to a scene in the middle of the movie to continue watching.

The disc menus come as a set of main menu page and scene page.
The main menu page has buttons for Play All and Scenes Selection (to get to the scene menu page if the viewer does not want Play All.
The scene menu page has buttons for the Scenes for the viewer to select what to view first. But, remember that after the viewer watches the selected scene, the viewer in not going to be taken back to the main menu unless he/she selected the last scene to watch.
The number and sequence of the scenes in the scene menu page will be directed by where you place the
menu markers on the Timeline content. The main action for disc menu set up is going to be in Tools Menu/Movie Menu/Movie Maker Customization.
The main menu page comes with a designed in number of buttons. So does the scene menu page.
a. main menu markers on the Timeline to place main menu buttons
b. scene menu markers on the Timeline to place scene menu buttons.
Now here is the consideration. If the number of scene markers on the Timeline exceeds the number of designed in button for the scene menu, then the excess spills over to additional pages. Same situation for the main menu and main menu markers.
Example...if you have 6 scene markers placed on the Timeline and you use a menu with a scene menu with only 4 spots for buttons, then you are going to end up with 2 scene menus, the first with 4 buttons/page and the second with 2 on the page. In the end
a. 1 main menu...Play All Button and Scene Selection Button
b. 2 scene menus....lst with 4 buttons
Let us try this. Go back to my blog posts and see if the introduction in any of them describes what you want to do.
If one looks promising, then we can go step by step through the how to provide for smoother sailing through the details. The details may look better on the second read.
Based on all that I will see if I can customize something beyond which I have already written about.
Right now for practice look at 8 Timeline scene markers for the Memories/Memory Box theme which should give you
1 main menu page with a spot to insert a picture
2 scene menus page (each with 4 buttons per page)

Note: If all your scene markers appear to have similar scenes, make sure you have put a few frames distance between menu makers.
Also, in the Marker's dialog, use the Offset to move the view a little. This will not affect the position of the marker on the Timeline, just the
view of what you are seeing in the scene thumbnail.
We can get rid of thumbnails but it will take us into the theme's psd editing in Photoshop CS or higher or depending on the circumstances
Photoshop Elements.

Canvas event handling with a custom menu

Hey guys!
OK, first off i have been trucking along quite nicely on this midlet but i think i have hit a fork in the road.
I designed a custom menu that extends Canvas.
I keep track of what is selected (there are 4 items) as an int value (0-3).
When the midlet first starts, I have it go to the menu canvas.
Now the problem I have is that I cannot figure out a way to signal the midlet to load another screen (a form Displayable) when the 'FIRE' button is pushed. (Note: the up and down buttons work fine)
What is a good aproach to signal to the main class midlet that I want to load the corresponding screen??
I have tried boolean with accsesor methods, and cannot get that way to work.
If there is a a good link you guys have handy please pass it along also!

hi,
i used the sample javacript "ScriptMenuAction.jsx" to create a custom menu.
that script has this command: var mySampleScriptAction = app.scriptMenuActions.add("Display Message");
which adds submenu called Display message.
my question is how to add a submenu to "Display message" submenu... i mean when we click on "File" menu, it shows "New" as the 1st element..if we click on "New" it shows another window giving option to create a new document, book or library....how to create such structure for my custom menu using javascript?

The command you quoted is not the part of the code that adds a Submenu. This adds a ScriptMenuAction. The key is that actions are decoupled from menu/submenus/menuitem stuff. Take a look at the menu/submenu hierarchy to add the structure you need. This page may help you:

BPC Custom Menu

We have created a Custom Menu in SAP BPC V5.1 SP7, BPC for Excel . When we run it, each
time we open a report or schedule accessed from the custom menu it does
not automatically expand and refresh on open so does not update the current view. We need to manually expand and refresh each time. This is despite the fact that we have set this in the workbook options of each of the reports and schedules. However if we try opening the same reports or
schedules from the eAnalyze or eSubmit menus respectively they expand
and refresh on open as expected. If we use the custom menu in test mode then it also works as expected by expanding and refreshing. Is there a known bug with the custom
menus or is there a setting that I need to change to get this to work?

You want to have something like an "Execute Query" in your menu. Add a menuitem of type PL/SQL and put the code
DO_KEY('EXECUTE_QUERY');Same procedure would be for other "query-menu"-items

BPC Custom Menu Excel 2007

I created a custom menu in BPC. In this menu I inserted several reports in the Highlight area. When I open this custom menu afterwards, the background of my report is black.
Has anyone already encountered this problem?

How to create a menu in the canvas

Hi,
I want to create a menu in my canvas, like this:

Yes you can create menu in form canvas
First create menu under main form property just above program units. and then create menu items for displaying menu item.
After creating you menu item you just click on Canvas property by selecting canvas and F4
then under Function property select your menu under "POPUP MENU"
when you right click your canvas runtime you will see a menu just like web.

I like the templates I have, but is there a way I can create a custom DVD menu in PP 2.0?

I would also suggest using the same general naming conventions for your Main and Scene Selection Menus. Names, like this: NTSC_abstract_s_mm.psd and NTSC_abstract_s_sm.psd. In this case, I would change the word "abstract" to indicate your Project, or similar.
Also, in PrPro 2.0, your Menus will be in Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0\DVD Templates\[Your New Folder].

I built a custom menu in BPC 7.5 using the step-by-step procedure available in u201CHow Tou2026 Create Custom Menu within BPC NWu201D. It uses the OPENFILE option with EvMnu to open dynamic templates describing this limit:
The OPENFILE option within the NW Version can only open workbooks from cached directories in local PC. Therefore, it is a best practice to ensure that OPENFILE only refers to templates that are available as dynamic templates that are cached (updated template version) on all client PCs that are using the EvMnu based workbook.
At the moment Iu2019m working with more than 40 users, which surely will increase. So, I have to find others solutions or automate the local saving:
- Do I have to ask our users to save locally all dynamic templates?
- Do you know if I can save automatically (not manually one-by-one) all dynamic templates in all client PCs allowing the OPENFILE option to work correctly?
- Do you know if there are others solutions, like commands or macro (not BPF), to open dynamic templates from custom menu without local saving?

Thank you for your quick answer. I need to open a single dynamic report for each link, not the complete report folder.
OPENWEBFOLDER works correctly, but unluckily it doesnu2019t cover my issue.
OPENWEBFILE could be the solution, but it doesnu2019t work. I used this syntax:
=EVMNU("OPENWEBFILE"," optional text ","REPORTS\TestReport.xlt")
Clicking it, the system shows this message u201COPENWEBFILE: macro not supportedu201D.
Do you know if OPENWEBFILE works correctly in BPC 7.5 NW?

[Solved] Create a dmenu custom menu

Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to create a custom dmenu's menu.
For example I would like to have a special 'session' menu with logout, shutdown and reboot actions, with these actions bound to special commands like 'sudo shutdown -h now'.
Is this possible? How?

Placing a custom menu over Canvas

Hello Forum,
since I dont know what describes my problem, I cannot google it. This has been bothering me since weeks now, so I hope someone here could point me the direction:
I�m working on a painting tool. The user draws shapes on a canvas, draws relations between them, assignes names and so on.
The user must also be able to edit further attributes of each shape. Therefore I want a small custom menu to pop up when he double clicks a shape.
The upcoming pop-up menu (containing some textfields and a button) must be special shaped (bouble or rounded e.g.) and there must be a visible connection to the shape that has been clicked. Like a line between the menu and the shape.
The well-known context menu seems to not fit my plans, since I dont know how to customize it so far.
Could you please give me a direction to google in? Im thankful for every advice :)

Apply the image as a background image to <section> and have two divs following normal document flow called <header> and <nav>
The html will look like
<section id="pageHeader">
<header> .... </header>
<nav> ... </nav>
</section>
The style rules look like

#pageHeader header { height: YOUR HEIGHT; }

The main menu items will have transparent backgrounds to allow the background image to show through

Creating a custom programs menu

We have nld9 sp3 workstations in a k-12 environment that are being managed
with ZLM 7. the NLD policies available in ZLM does not allow for enough
granular control of the contents of the Gnome prorgams menu. For
example: NLD policies allow me to remove the system monitor and IRCxchat
but do not have a provision for removing the contents of the internet sub-
menu which contains chat applets etc.
My question is... is there a way to remove unwanted items from the
programs menu or is there a way to create our own menu and have it
substitute for the original menu.

The template is a document in itself, it is not applied to an existing document whether it is a Pages document or a Word document converted to a Pages document.
You would need to either copy and paste content, using existing styles, or apply the styles to the converted Word document.
You can Import the Styles from an existing document and those imported Styles can be used to override the current document's styles:
Menu > Format > Import Styles
The process is simplified if the styles use the same names, otherwise you will need to delete the style you don't want and replace it with the one that you do want when asked, then the substitution is pretty straightforward.
