Creating a custom worklist, WLI 2.1
Hello,
Please advise how best to create my own custom worklist. I intend to use a
worklist
in a pane - not as an application so that I may call methods upon it from an
application
container.
I need a worklist which works exactly as is (i.e., receives tasks, completes
them
etc etc), but all I need to do is add a new column to the list of columns, and
filter tasks in a task list by that column.
So:
1. how do I create my own custom columns (columns which are displayed on the
worklist
like "Status", "Workflow Name" etc), and how do I populate data in those columns
during my workflow processing in WLI studio and then subsequently displayed on
a worklist.
2. how do create a custom worklist which has the look, and functionality of the
original worklist but with the custom features of point 1, and my own methods
which I can then call from outside the worklist.
These custom methods must have access to the data stored in the worklist (i.e.,
the list of tasks).
3. i need to then filter the tasks by a particular value in a column - say show
all tasks that have the value X in "workflow label" - what can anyone advise on
the best approach for this?
Cheers.

How to create a Custom Worklist VIew ?
Hi,
We are currently integrating oracle workflow with our existing product , and we wish to use our own application views for displaying the worklist.
However, we have not found any open API to the Oracle Workflow Engine which would allow us to retreive the worklist items for a user, as is done for the html pages of the default implementation.
Any help is welcome.
Thanks in advance,
Kaushik.Kaushik,
There isn't a public API for this, but you could examine the wfa_html.worklist code. -
OB55 Customer worklist REMADV IDOC Payment advice
Hello,
We are using REMADV IDOC to enter payment advices for customer open items. We have for ex 3 customers A, B and C. Customer C is entered in Customer's master data A & B as the alternative payer. (company code, payment transaction tab). Customer C sends in payment advice with payment for line items of customer A & B. The aim is thus for the system to clear them by creating a batch input. When viewing the REMADV IDOC (FBE3) we should have in field "account value "C" but in field "alternative account" we should have either customer "A" or "B".
This is done through the help of customer worklists. I am unable to understand how this works. How do I create a worklist?
I tried creating one in OB55 by naming it Worklist "Customer C" REMADV. Then in Edit > Automatic Worklist > Alternative payer. In there I did not enter anything in the prefix, in offset 2, display length 8. I tried many options prefix RE, offset 2, length 6.
but nothing is working. When integrating the REMADV IDOC, impossible for me to see in FBE3, in Alternative customer account A or B. It is always customer "C"
Can anyone explain clearly how to create a customer worklist.
Thank you in advance for your help.
JosetteHi
Can you please share any IDOC file for the following: On Accout Posting, if the invoice is not found, Debit Memo and Credit Memo with text fields populated?

Error in creating connection of worklist in custom webcenter application.
Hello All,
I am creating a custom webcenter application and i need BPEL worklist connection to be set up in that application.I have created the connection from Jdeveloper as:-
In ResourcePallete-> new -> connection->worklist and has given the worklist url as well as the name of the connection.
In TestConnection -> success!!
And then i had dragged the worklist region from taskflow but in runtime it is showing as :-
The Worklist Service is unavailable .
* Warning*
* Either no BPEL Worklist connections are configured, or there is an issue with the existing connection configuration. Verify that at least one BPEL Worklist connection is configured for this application, and that no unresolved ''ConfigurationExceptions'' exceptions are logged.*
and in log it is giving :-
*<WebCenterConfig><getConnection> Connection not found SOA Connection*
*<BPELConnectionUtil><getWorklistConnections> The BPEL Connection named 'SOA Connection' was not present in the connections.xml file. This will prevent the Worklist service from being able to interact with the required this BPEL connection.*
I am using only the Jdeveloper and i am having webcenter framework extensions in it.Also I have created the ADF Security but SOA server is on another machine. Are there any other steps which i had missed??
Please suggest !!!!
Thanks.Hi Deepak,
You can check standard configuration in client 000.
Meanwhile you can use this settings:
ISTYP TPLKZ FLTYP NUMKI NUMKE
C AO_GP A 01 OC
D AO_GP G 02 OC
This is where you define structure indicator for isu technical location category.
ISTYP correspond to the type of technical location in ISU, C for connection object and D for device location
The content of TPLKZ is defined in the following menu in SPRO.
Plant Maintenance and Customer Service
Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service
Technical Objects
Functional Locations
Create Structure Indicator for Reference Locations/Functional Locations
Hope it helps,

Calling ADF BPM form from a Custom worklist
Hi There,
I have my BPM project that uses the ADF forms for all the human tasks, in the other hand i have built a custom worklist, but when i list all my task i need to view the detail of my task using the ADF forms created in my BPM project, is it possible to do this call, and if it is possible how can i do it?
Thanks for your help
YuriTo call and display external forms in BPM here is what you do:-
1) In an Interactive Activity, right click ,select Main Task
2) In the Implementation Type change from Method to External
3) Edit and write the Prepare and Commit Methods
4) Write a PAPI Code which calls these Prepare and Commit Methods
5) So the Prepare method will call the PAPI code which in turn will call your external UI.
6) When everything is finished i.e. when the user hits the submit button on the form, redirect it to the PAPI Code.
7) This PAPI code will then call the Commit Method in the Interactive activity of BPM
8) Once committed, the activity ends and the process moves forward.
That's how you connect to external UIs.
Include this PAPI code in the directory where the process is deployed on the Enterprise Server. -
Building Custom Worklist application in 11g using wlfullclient.jar
Hi,
Can anybody mention me the detailed steps to be followed to build a custom Worklist application.
I have created a Web application jdev 11g
I placed the following url to create
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E1552301/integration.1111/e10224/bp_worklistcust.htm_+
placed the following jars in classpath
Wsclient_extended.jar
Bpm-services.jar
Bpm-infra.jar
Wlfullclient.jar
xmlparserv2.jar
xml.jar
I did not find this bpm-services-client.jar* anywhere in the SOA stack. I am missing this??
and also place wf_client_config.xml under src folder the content is as below
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<workflowServicesClientConfiguration xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/services/client">
<server name ="default" default="true" >
<localClient>
<participateInClientTransaction>false</participateInClientTransaction>
</localClient>
<remoteClient>
<serverURL>t3://localhost:7001</serverURL>
<userName>weblogic</userName>
<password>weblogic123</password>
<initialContextFactory>weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory
</initialContextFactory>
<participateInClientTransaction>false</participateInClientTransaction>
</remoteClient>
<soapClient>
<rootEndPointURL>http://localhost:7001</rootEndPointURL>
<identityPropagation mode="dynamic" type="saml">
<policy-references>
<policy-reference enabled="true" category="security"
uri="oracle/wss10_saml_token_client_policy"/>
</policy-references>
</identityPropagation>
</soapClient>
</server>
</workflowServicesClientConfiguration>
And I have placed web.xml and weblogic.xml under WEB-INF folder.
I do not have any compile time error.
But when I am trying to deploy the application I am getting the following error.
If i remove the wlfullclient.jar I am not getting this error as it is trying to load something while deployment.
Please can anybody tell me what exactly I am missing.

ADF/SOA custom worklist viewFilter
Hello Folks
I am posting for the first time is this part of forums and i have a feeling it will not be the last.
I have a situation integrating ADF application with bpm worklist.
I saw other similar posts like customise Worklist application in BPEL
from people trying to customise Inbox, or show a custom view as default for a user.
I feel i am close to a solution but i hit a posible bug:
I have managed to create a ADF application with a custom worklist region following instructions of :
Developer's Guide for Oracle SOA Suite &30.13 Creating Reusable Worklist Regions
I also see that there is a parameter you can pass to the worklist task flow, the viewFilter:
Developer's Guide for Oracle SOA Suite &34.4 Passing Worklist Portlet Parameters
'viewFilter Specifies the selected view for which the tasks are displayed.'
Yet when I use it with values like:
value="Due Soon"
value="My Work Queues/Standard Views/Due Soon"
I get the the following error 'One or more views could be invalid'
Only if i pass value="Inbox" it works.
Anyone has any idia how should i pass my custom view value?

Building a custom worklist client in 11g R1 fails to authenticate [Solved]
Release: 11gR1
Hi,
We're trying to build a custom worklist client using the APIs exposed by the workflow service described here:
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/integration.1111/e10224/bp_worklistcust.htm#BHAHBHID
I created an ADF/webcenter application.
Created a page and added ADF security to the page which in turn authenticates via OID - this works.
However when I try to use the workflow API to retrieve the workflow context I receive this exception:
========= get tasks =========

admin pw : weblogic1
realm : myrealm
user : harry
exception : ORABPEL-30501

Further Notes:
The out-of-the-box worklistapp included with BPEL authenticates correctly through the same OID instance.
The above was when I used REMOTE_CLIENT, I get a similar error when I use SOAP_CLIENT.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Edited by: user1330597 on Jul 15, 2009 8:54 AMHi Guys,
Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions, from your replies I gathered that I was barking up the wrong tree.
I'll comment on my solution below for the curious.
thx
Bud
I left my wf_client_config.xml file as is. (shown in the original comment above - I have this file in the ViewController project's src directory - not the global src directory)
I reverted my workflow-identity-config.xml file to its original state (ie removed the multiple configurations and defaulted to the jazn.com realm):
<?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
<ISConfiguration xmlns="http://www.oracle.com/pcbpel/identityservice/isconfig" >
<configurations>
<configuration realmName="jazn.com">
<provider providerType="JPS" name="JpsProvider" service="Identity">
<property name="jpsContextName" value="default" />
</provider>
</configuration>
</configurations>
<property name="caseSensitive" value="false"/>
</ISConfiguration>
It seemed to me that the worklist client service (API) always uses jazn.com as the realm, even though I added users to myrealm (weblogic's default realm) via oid.
When I browse for users in a HumanTask.task file in JDeveloper for instance the users I had added to myrealm show up in the jazn.com realm - which is okay since they're all in there.
Since this is a client and we don't really know the password of a user logging in I used the authenticateOnBehalfOf() method to get the IWorkflowContext of the user after getting the IWorkflowContext of an Administrator.
In order to get an administrator IWorkflowContext you need to authenticate against a user who is in the 'Administrators' group.
The code I used is below:
public class worklistService {
String adminUser = "harry";
String adminPassword = "welcome1";
String realm = "jazn.com";
public List getTasks() throws WorkflowException, StaleObjectException {
String user = ADFContext.getCurrent().getSecurityContext().getUserName();
try {
IWorkflowServiceClient iWorkflowServiceClient = WorkflowServiceClientFactory.getWorkflowServiceClient(WorkflowServiceClientFactory.REMOTE_CLIENT);
ITaskQueryService iTaskQueryService = iWorkflowServiceClient.getTaskQueryService();
System.out.println("admin user : " + adminUser);
System.out.println("admin pw : " + adminPassword);
System.out.println("realm : " + realm);
System.out.println("user : " + user);
IWorkflowContext directUserContext = iTaskQueryService.authenticate("ben", adminPassword.toCharArray(), realm);
System.out.println("------ directUserContext : " + directUserContext);
IWorkflowContext adminContext = iTaskQueryService.authenticate(adminUser, adminPassword.toCharArray(), realm);
System.out.println("------ adminContext : " + adminContext);
IWorkflowContext userContext = iTaskQueryService.authenticateOnBehalfOf(adminContext,user);
System.out.println("------ userContext : " + userContext);
Hope this helps someone else ... -
Regarding SPRO "My Customizing Worklist"
Hi,
There are a few question about the SPRO "My Customizing Worklist".
How can I create customizing project IMG according to "SAP Reference IMG"?
How can I activate which customizing project IMG to use in "My Customizing Worklist" of SPRO?
After the ativation, the configuration in customizing project IMG will always take the priority over the SAP Reference IMG?
Thanks a lot!
Best Regards,
AdrianThe configuration in customizing project IMG will always take the priority over the SAP Reference IMG?
For this Yes, After creation of customizing project, you should make settings through this customized project.It has the first priority.
What if there are more than one finished project in the worklist?
You should select a particular project while configuring the system.After entering into SPRO you should double click on the customized project,through this path you should configure the system. -
BPM Custom Worklist Implementation
Hi everyone,
I am working on BPM custom worklist application. I followed the steps to create a sample page with using TaskList task flow as explained in [BPM User's Guide|http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/user.1111/e15175/bpmug_ws_taskflows.htm#BACFBHAE]. But when I browse to the sample page that contains TaskList task flow, it just renendered a blank page and the below exception trace is thrown on SOA console. I guess it's coming from security related issue. Does anyone know what the cause of the problem is? Thanks in advance.

Web logic and SOA server are up and running.
I guess there has to be at least some config file but in the link I gave at the beginning I can't find any explanation how to write it.
Is there any better tutorial or explanation?
Please help :) -
Exception adding attachment from custom worklist client
I am building a custom Human Task Editor for BPEL. This is a java standalone (at the moment) and runs on my local Mac machine. The SOA Suite 11g is installed on Linux hosted box.
A BPEL process is already deployed and an instance created. The instance has reached the 'human task' activity. I can also verify this from <host:port/integration/worklistapp>. However, we plan to build our own worklist app.
In this custom worklist app (which is configured through REMOTE protocol ), I make use of the taskQueryService to fetch a list of all human tasks assigned to a particular user. This returns me with a list. All works well.
However, when I try to add an attachment to one of the tasks, I get an exception.

Has anyone tried adding an attachment from the custom worklist client using remote ejb interfaceHave you tried working with the addAttachment() method of the Message interface (http://help.sap.com/javadocs/pi/SP3/xpi/com/sap/engine/interfaces/messaging/api/Message.html#addAttachment%28com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.Payload%29) ... It may require some (major) redesign of your JAVA mapping (I'm still on XI, so I can't validate this assumption)

How to Create the Custom print Quote Report ?
Hi All,
I want to create the custom Print Quote report . I know the below details and referred the below metalinks .
Note: 780722.1 - How to Create a Custom Print Quote Template in Oracle Quoting ?
https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=780722.1

https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=468982.1.
Oracle Metalink:
Note: To add a column to the print quote report, following files need to be updated:
LinesVO.xml --- xml files containing the sql query and attribute definition
LinesVORowImpl.class - public class extending the framework class OAViewRowImpl.
This class contains the set and get for the attributes defined in xml file.
ASOPRINT.xsl - this is the xsl stylesheet file used to describe the report layout.
This file needs to be modified to include the new column being added to the report
QUESTION :
My question is,
1. wether my approach (below iare the details)of trying to extend the PromptVO is the right way or is there any other way to add the new columns.
I want to add new fields on to the report . When i looked into the it says the below
Here we find that to add a new column, oracle says to update the LINESVO.xml, do they really mean to update the base files.
This report uses following VO's
PROMPTVO
HEADERVO,
LINESVO.
To create new Headers & Prompts, i tried extending the PROMPTVO. Once the extended VO is substitued , i dont even get the data for standard oracle Prompts. is this the right way to add columns?

https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=468982.1.

Is there a way to create a custom screensaver with pics/slides that display for different amounts of time? Or even add a "video slide" into the screensaver?
My business has 3 TVs displayed in our lobby, each with its own apple TV and they are all linked to the same photo stream. Currently the Atv screensaver displays the photostream pictures of our products for the default 3 seconds. We just added pics/slides that now display messages and useful info for our customers but I want that info to be displayed for a longer period of time than the pictures to give people a chance to read it.
I tried using flickr and powerpoint as a work around but no luck. I created a slide in powerpoint with play length of 15 secs and saved it as a wmv file. I added that file to a "screensaver" set in flickr and pointed the Atv screensaver to that flickr set. It still displays everything, pics and the wmv file at the default 3 sec.
I know I can increase the duration of all pics in the screensaver to display for longer but the goal is to have the pics display at 3 secs and the info slides to display at 15 secs.Welcome to the Apple Community.
No that's not possible.
If you have any suggestions that you think might enhance the Apple TV you can send Apple your feedback here -
I am changing from Word to Pages. I have created my custom template with all my styles etc and that is what comes up when I go for a New Document. Fine. How do I get it to use the same Custom Template when I use Pages to open a Word document?
The template is a document in itself, it is not applied to an existing document whether it is a Pages document or a Word document converted to a Pages document.
You would need to either copy and paste content, using existing styles, or apply the styles to the converted Word document.
You can Import the Styles from an existing document and those imported Styles can be used to override the current document's styles:
Menu > Format > Import Styles
The process is simplified if the styles use the same names, otherwise you will need to delete the style you don't want and replace it with the one that you do want when asked, then the substitution is pretty straightforward.

Create a custom web template using VS 2012 with web features,site features sections applied
hi,
Want to create a custom web template using VS 2012 in my SP 2013 environment. i know "Vesku" has posted a great artice on this [ based on prev. version of SP].
here -
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/vesku/archive/2010/10/14/sharepoint-2010-and-web-templates.aspx
i am looking for a code based article which has step by step process which provides how to add the site features, web features and attach the eventreceivers etc etc on sitecollection creation when i apply this template from central admin.
can anyone provide me any links / any source how to create a custom web template with one / two custom features - site features element and web features element , / master page etc ....
I am stuck with this. as part of my reqmnt, i need to create a webtemplate with all the customlistinstances, custompagelayouts, custom masterpages, custom appln pages, custom web parts.
help is appreciated !
DasThe problem is that Web Templates are deployed to a gallery in a site collection and aren't available in Central Admin when creating a new site collection. YOu have to create the site collection without choosing a template and then choose your web
template when you first access the root site in the site collection. Here's an article that discusses that process here:
http://sharepointchick.com/archive/2011/02/10/using-web-templates-to-create-site-collections.aspx
Other than that Vesa's article is still the best one and works essentially the same in 2013 as it does in 2010.
