Creating a DB view in OIM schema

For one of my requirement I am asked to create a Database view in OIM schema.
Now since I cannot share the password for OIM schema, one user will also be required to create in DB having read access on DB view.
What would be impact of this in IDM application?
Will there be any impact of creating a user and Database OIM Schema? OIM version is 9.1.0.2.
Thanks,
MS

You mean this?
select products.name, sum(suppliers.quantity)
  from products, suppliers
  where products.name = suppliers.product
  group by products.name-Arun

  • Table T1 in Schema A, Synonym T1 in Schema B, View V1 in Schema B.

    Hi,
    There are two schemas Schema A and Schema B
    Table-> XML_TABLE is in Schema A.
    If I create a view V1 with the following query:
    SELECT *
    FROM XML_TABLE t
    WHERE XMLEXISTS (
    'declare namespace nmsp ="name:namespace"; fn:collection("oradb:/PUBLIC/Table2")/ROW[ColumnName=$d/nmsp:Colmn2/nmsp:id]'
    PASSING t.textxml AS "d")
    My XML Indexes are used and output is fast.
    BUT in Schema B also I have a synonym for table XML_TABLE pointing to the table in Schema A.
    And I create a similar view v1 in schema B also using the same query as above.
    BUT this doesn't use indexes. I can see that in the plan and also query never gets executed.
    So IS IT correct to have table in schema A, Synonym in Schema B for this table and View in Schema B for this.
    How should I make it work
    OR
    Should I remove the view to Schema A only?
    Thanks..

    So IS IT correct to have table in schema A, Synonym in Schema B for this table and View in Schema B for this.Well, it's not incorrect. Perhaps more tidy to just have the view defined in schema A along with the table, if it's going to be used in schema A as well, and then have a synonym for schema B to use that view.
    How should I make it work
    OR
    Should I remove the view to Schema A only?Perhaps you could post an example of your table with some example data for people to use, along with the views and statement to set up the synonyms, so it can be reproduced by others to see what's going on. Also, post the explain plans you're referring to.

  • Create trigger on view belong to different schema of same db

    Hi Guru's,
    I have two different schema in the same DB.
    Example : schema1 and schema2
    I have one view on schema1 and i have grant select to schema2 and create synonym for that view.
    Now i need to create trigger on synonym which created from view in schema1 and insert the data into different table from trigger when insert happen on view.
    first of all , is it possible?
    if its possible then do i need to give create any trigger on view to schema2.
    Or is there any other we can get this done..
    Many thanks.

    Triggers operate on tables and views (but I'll just say "table" from now on). It doesn't matter if the statement that caused the trigger to fire used the actual table name or a synonym.
    which created from view in schema1 and insert the data into different table from trigger when insert happen on view.
    first of all , is it possible?I'm not sure I understand you here, either.
    It is possible to have a trigger on a view in schema1, which INSERTs data into a table. That table can be in any schema, just so long as the trigger owner has privilges on INSERT into it.
    if its possible then do i need to give create any trigger on view to schema2.It's very dangerous, and usually a terrible idea, to grant the CREATE ANY privileges to users.
    Schema2 needs the CREATE ANY TRIGGER system privilege only to create a trigger in another schema, such as schema1. There's probably no reason to do that. Let schmea1 create the objects in its own schema.
    Post a test script that shows what you want to do. Include CREATE TABLE, CREATE VIEW, CREATE TRIGGER, CONNECT and INSERT statements, and the results you want (the contents of tables where the trigger INSERTed data). If you don't know how to code something, post the closest thing you can, and explain what you really want to do in that place.

    Hi Peteg,
    Try to use 11.1.1.4 version.
    8.1 RCU Supported Platforms:
    "RCU is available only on 32-bit x86 Linux and 32-bit Microsoft Windows operating system platforms. You can run RCU from these machines to connect to any certified versions of Oracle, IBM DB2, or Microsoft SQL Server database in order to create the schemas required by Fusion Middleware components. The database server can be running on any platform that is supported by its respective database.
    For Release 11.1.1.4.0, RCU can also be run on 64-bit x86 Linux and 64-bit Microsoft Windows operating systems. On 64-bit Linux operating systems, you must run the following command before starting RCU:"

  • Error creating OIM schema with RCU 11.1.1.3.3 (RCU-6135)

    Hello!
    I'm trying to install Oracle Access & Identity Management 11g on Windows Server 2003 32bit machine
    As main guide I use the article from onlineappsdba.com ( [this one|http://onlineappsdba.com/index.php/2010/08/05/oracleidm-11g-step-by-installation-of-oam-oim-oaam-oapm-oin-111130-part-i-load-schema/print/] )
    I have installed Oracle Database 11.2.0.1.0
    After that I try to create required schemas using RCU 11.1.1.3.3 and constantly get failed on creating OIM schema with error RCU-6135:Error while trying to execute Java action..
    All other schemas were created successfully.
    I've checked oim.log and there were no sql errors.
    In the rcu.log I found next messages:

    I've searched through the OTN and Internet but did not found any solution.
    Please help me.
    Any advises will be appreciated.

    I've tried to run RCU 11.1.1.3.3 on Ubuntu 32-bit and OIM schema creation failed again but with another error RCU-1636 Failed to start PL/SQL engine.
    After that I found RCU 11.1.1.4, downladed it and this version created all schemas successfully.
    Hope all other components will be ok with new version of RCU

  • A problem when I try to create a application view throug a Bea MQSeries Adapter8.1

              Hi, guys!
              I have installed Weblogic platform 8.1 beta, and try to use the MQSeries Adapter

              is an application include the MQ Adapter, on a domain which provide the Integration

  • Creating a materialized view for another user

    I don't seem to find the correct setup for this....
    With the user "dummy"
    CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW dummy.thetable BUILD IMMEDIATE REFRESH FORCE ON DEMAND AS select * from real.thetable;
    And the materialized view is created ok.
    With a DBA user:
    CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW dummy.thetable BUILD IMMEDIATE REFRESH FORCE ON DEMAND AS select * from real.thetable;
    ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
    I don't want to be switching back and forth from the user to create materialized views, am I missing a permission here? DBA of course has create any materialized view

    From the SQL Reference Guide:
    To create a materialized view in another user’s schema:
    - You must have the CREATE ANY MATERIALIZED VIEW system privilege.
    - The owner of the materialized view must have the CREATE TABLE system privilege. The owner must also have access to any master tables of the materialized view that the schema owner does not own (for example, if the master tables are on a remote database), and to any materialized view logs defined on those master tables, either through a SELECT object privilege on each of the tables or through the SELECT ANY TABLE system privilege.
    I suspect that, if you first GRANT CREATE TABLE TO DUMMY, you will be able to create the MV.

    I appreciate your help. Many thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Radic

    You'd have to rename the table (using ALTER TABLE tablename RENAME TO othername; ) before you create the MV.
    You can't have both existing with the same name in the same schema.
    What you see in the GQ schema is that the "table" is the underlying table for the Materialized View.
    When you do a CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW MY_MV AS ...
    Oracle creates two objects with the same name, one being the Materialized View MY_MV and the other being the table MY_MV which is the physical storage. {Remember that a Materialized View is a means of getting a physical representation of a View}.
    In the QQ schema what you have is either
    a. a real Table
    or
    b. an improperly dropped MV, resulting in the underlying Table still present.

  • Creating a Materialized View in Oracle 8i

    Hello -
    What are the steps and privileges required to create a materialized view in Oracle 8i?
    Thanks

    To create a materialized view in your own schema:
    You must have been granted the CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW system privilege and either the CREATE TABLE or CREATE ANY TABLE system privilege.
    You must also have access to any master tables of the materialized view that you do not own, either through a SELECT object privilege on each of the tables or through the SELECT ANY TABLE system privilege.
    To create a materialized view in another user's schema:
    You must have the CREATE ANY MATERIALIZED VIEW system privilege.
    The owner of the materialized view must have the CREATE TABLE system privilege. The owner must also have access to any master tables of the materialized view that the schema owner does not own (for example, if the master tables are on a remote database), and to any materialized view logs defined on those master tables, either through a SELECT object privilege on each of the tables or through the SELECT ANY TABLE system privilege.
    Thanks

    I want to show all elements/attribute values in xml files to relational view.
    Is this possible to create one big relational view to show everything
    or I have to create three separate relation views then use UNION to put together? Thanks a lot. Cow

  • Error in RCU 11.1.1.5 OIM Schema Creation

    Hi,
    I am trying to install OIM11g on Win2008 server, 64 bit VM. I have successfully installed and created Oracle Database 11.2.
    Before running RCU 11.1.1.5, I have altered the needed database system parameters. viz.
    open_cursors=800
    processes=500
    session_cached_cursors=100
    shared_pool_size=144M
    sga_max_size=1648M
    db_block_size=8192
    When i am running RCU 11.1.1.5, all schemas except OIM are getting created successfully. For OIM schema creation, I am getting error
    RCU-1630: Action failed -
    RCU-6136: Error while trying to execute SQLPlus action.
    The rcu.log says there are IOExceptions.
    I have searched a lot about the resolution but haven't really got any solution.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Kulesh...

    Hi Kulesh,
    Try copy msvcr71.dll from *<your installer directory>\rcuHome\jdk\bin* to C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and C:\Windows\System32
    And then run RCU again to create your OIM schema.
    Thank you,
    Ivan P.

  • OIM 11g R2 installation Issue. OIM Schema creation failed using RCU 11.1.2

    I have been trying to install OIM 11g R2 on a Windows server 2008 R2 64 Bit and have been encountering the following error during the OIM schema creation. The other schemas, such as Metadata, SOA, user messaging services and other associated schema creation was successful. But, the OIM schema creation was taking more than 2 minutes and finally it fails with the below error.
    RCU-6130: Action failed
    RCU-6135: Error while trying to execute java action.
    Components used:
    OS: Windows Server 2008 R2 64 Bit
    DBS: 11gR2 (11.2.0.1)
    RCU: 11.1.2
    The first error occured was ora-12637 packet receive failed followed by Table or View does not exist. I could not fetch much information from the oim and rcu.log.
    I have set the processes, open_cursors and session_cached_cursors as suggested in the preinstallation step of OIM 11g R2 installation.
    Any pointers on this will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Srini

    Copy the msvcr71.dll file from rcuHome\jdk\jre\bin inside rcu installer and paste it in C:\Windows\SysWOW64.
    Try running the rcu again with the new user i.e. instead of DEV_OIM, run it with DEV_OIM1.
    Or drop the DEV_OIM user first and then use the same user.

  • Sdo_filter fail when query against a spatial view in different schema

    We have a table with X,Y coordinates and would like to run spatial query against it. We do not want to change the table structure, so we opt to use a function based index. USER_SDO_GEOM_METADATA is updated and index is built. Then we created a view with spatial column from the table. Everything works fine with the user who owns the table and view.
    When we try to run a spatial query against the view from a different user, it failed with error. However, if we substitute the select from my_view* with the actual SQL statement that created the view, it works. So it looks like Oracle refuse to acknowledge the spatial index if accessed via view. Here is some simplified scripts:
    --- connect as USER1.
    --update meta data
    INSERT INTO USER_SDO_GEOM_METADATA ( TABLE_NAME, COLUMN_NAME, DIMINFO, SRID ) VALUES
    ('LOCATIONS', 'MDSYS.SDO_GEOMETRY(2001,2264,SDO_POINT_TYPE(NVL(X_COORD,0),NVL(Y_COORD,0),NULL),NULL,NULL)',

    FROM USER1.LOCATIONS WHERE X_COORD>0 AND Y_COORD>0;
    -- run spatial query from view, works fine by user1 by failed on user2.
    SELECT SHAPE FROM (
    SELECT * FROM USER1.MY_VIEW

    -- run spatial query from table directly, simply replace the view with actual statements that created the view. works fine by user1 AND user2.
    SELECT SHAPE FROM (

    When run against the view by user2, the error is:
    ORA-13226: interface not supported without a spatial index
    ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.MD", line 1723
    ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.MDERR", line 8
    ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.SDO_3GL", line 1173
    13226. 00000 - "interface not supported without a spatial index"
    *Cause:    The geometry table does not have a spatial index.
    *Action:   Verify that the geometry table referenced in the spatial operator
    has a spatial index on it.
    Note, the SELECT SHAPE FROM (****) A WHERE SDO_FILTER(....) syntax is a third party application, all we have control is the part inside "(select ...)".
    So it appears Oracle is treating view differently. Have attempted fake the view name into USER_SDO_GEOM_METADATA, did not work. Also, granted select on the index table to user2, did not work.
    if we re-created the view in user2 schema, it worked for user2 but not user1, so it's not something we can do for every user.
    Searched the forum, no good match found. A few posts talked about "union all" in view caused the problem but I do not have the union.
    We are only use Oracle 10g Locator, not full spatial edition.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!
    Edited by: liu.284 on Oct 4, 2011 12:08 PM

    It seems a bug, where a function-based spatial index is not correctly handled in a view query transformation.
    Not sure if the following works for you or not.
    add a new column "shape" (mdsys.sdo_geometry) in table locations, use a trigger and x_coord/y_coord
    to set values for this new column, and just create a normal spatial index on this new column. (drop the
    function-based spatial index). And create a view like:
    CREATE VIEW USER1.MY_VIEW2 AS SELECT ID , X_COORD, Y_COORD, SHAPE
    FROM USER1.LOCATIONS WHERE X_COORD>0 AND Y_COORD>0;

  • Exporting views from a schema

    Hi Gurus,
    We have a problem while creating a replica of a remote DB in local.
    We were able to export all DB objects except views.
    As they are critical for making the local DB 'complete', we are looking for a solution.
    We have tried the below query for getting the definition for a single view on a schema, but the query is taking too much time, even if run on the server.
    Select dbms_metadata.get_ddl('VIEW','<VIEW NAME>') from dual
    Please suggeest us a solution for the same.
    NOTE: Unfortunately we don't have any advanced tools and we are just relying on the Oracle SQL developer, even for developement.
    Thanks & Regards
