Creating a Site Map

Hi I'm following the tutorial instructions from http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/19/4554426dd13555e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
on how to create a site map through NWDS.  I have a few imports that are reporting "The import can not be resolved" as following....
import java.util.Hashtable;
import java.util.Iterator;
import javax.naming.NamingException;
import javax.naming.directory.NoSuchAttributeException;
import com.sapportals.portal.navigation.INavigationNode;
import com.sapportals.portal.navigation.INavigationService;
import com.sapportals.portal.navigation.NavigationNodes;
import com.sapportals.portal.prt.component.AbstractPortalComponent;
import com.sapportals.portal.prt.component.IPortalComponentRequest;
import com.sapportals.portal.prt.component.IPortalComponentResponse;
import com.sapportals.portal.prt.runtime.PortalRuntime;
import com.sapportals.portal.prt.session.IUserContext;
import com.sapportals.portal.prt.util.StringUtils;
How can I get the proper jar to be able to import the com.sapportals.portal.navigation.*
Thanks

  • Is there a way to create a site map of all RoboHelp topics in a published project?

    My company uses an external search of our published RoboHelp options (as well as the internal; the external search covers all projects instead of a single one). We're looking to change search programs, but according to our web developer a lot of searches have issues finding the topics inside the published projects because of the way it links to topics using Javascript.
    I think I know the answer to this question, considering it hasn't come up in any of my searches, but in case I need a second cup of coffee -- is there a site map or listing of links within a RoboHelp project that includes all the topics? Alternately, does anyone know of a service or program that can easily create a site map from a RH project? For reference, we're using RoboHelp 9.
    Thanks!

    Look in Tools > Reports.
    Some can be saved as files. Others you can copy and paste into a text file.

  • Can you create a site map with Dreamweaver?

    Greetings,
    Can you create a site map with Dreamweaver?
    Crawkers do not work because many of my pages are not linked.
    Thanks

    I'm not too sure what Crawkers is, but I do not think DW has that capability out of the box.  There are some web based solutions that will scan you site for you and give you a map for search engines.  I choose to go with a commercial option which is pretty good from WebAssist, it's called Surveyor: http://www.webassist.com/dreamweaver-extensions/surveyor/ .

  • Help creating a site-map for my iweb website

    Hello,
    I was able to list my site with google, no problem. However, following the instructions below to verify didn't work. #1- text edit has no choice for a simple text file. #2 - my mac will not allow me to save any kind of file except html file ending with html. #3 - I've tried using word and no matter what kind of save I attempt to save the google file name, I keep getting the same message, which is -> Verification status: NOT VERIFIED
    We've detected that your 404 (file not found) error page returns a status of 200 (Success) in the header.
    And the site map thing is simply over my head. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks ---- Roy
    Here's what I want you to do... your going to register with Google, submit your site for verification, and then make and submit a sitemap for your site. Okay? Here goes...
    Go to this page and login or register for a Google account... http://www.google.com/webmasters/
    This opens up a lot of tools to see how your site is doing. I have already confirmed that Google has none of your pages in its index using the Site Status Wizard.
    Once registered, click on "Webmaster Tools" and then enter your iWeb URL under "Add Site". I want you to type in your iWeb URL like this: http://web.mac.com/jlutz/iWeb/
    Click OK. Congratulations, your site is registered with Google. Now onto verifying that it is your site...
    Click on "Verify" next to your registered URL. You'll be presented with a choice of verification methods. Choose "Upload an HTML file". Google will give you the filename to use, like "googlef429021c837438ca.html" All you have to do is to create a blank file with TextEdit. Save it to your desktop as a plain text file. Then rename it with the filename that Google gave you (yes you want to use the .html extension in case you are asked). Then just copy this file to your iDisk/Web/Sites/iWeb/ folder. That's it.
    Click Verify...you should get verified immediately. Congratulations.

    The error you are seeing (We've detected that your 404 (file not found) error page returns a status of 200 (Success) in the header.) is something I have noticed on and off with my .Mac sites lately too. It used to work fine, but now sometimes .Mac verifies, sometimes it doesn't. Try both verification methods and see if one works over the other. If you are still having trouble, I know Max (

  • How can I create a site map using muse?

    I've been trying to optimize my page views-- finding SEO challenges using Adobe Muse.  Is there any easy way  to include a SITE MAP?
    THanks!
    nancy p.

    Hi there,
    BC creates the sitemap.xml automatically. Go to your URL and go /sitemap.xml should be there.
    Muse is not the best thing to use and build if SEO is important to you, the code output alone is not SEO friendly.

  • How do YOU organize pages, create a site map, and use hyperlinks?

    I had to get out of bed to bring this up with you all; I couldn't stop thinking about this next learning curve. It is: How shall I organize the topics I have in my website? One extreme is to have all of the topics showing in all of the nav bars at the top of all the pages. The opposite extreme is ............ I cannot truly visualize it.
    I think that the big obstacle for me is that i don't want to hide any pages so well, so slickly, that they can be found only by the most focused and persistent website visitor. I can see how some pages could be lost to a lot of casual website viewers.
    On the other hand, there are some pages that are natural groups. In my case, the U.B.R.O.L. group is that. It is made up of five people and me. I have one page for a photo slideshow which has one photo of each of us, but then I have a separate page for Nigel and his photos, a separate page for Vali and her long bio and photos, and a separate page for Helen, her short bio and her many photos.
    Tonight I tried making hierarchies using hyperlinks, so that U.B.R.O.L. shows up in the Site Menu, but Nigel, Vali, Helen, and Peggy do not show up. To get to their photos, one would have to click onto the U.B.R.O.L. group page. Once at the U.B.R.O.L. page, one can then click onto Vali's, Nigel's, and Helen's page, and then from each of their pages there are 3 hyperlinks: one to return to U.B.R.O.L., and three more hyperlinks to click onto the others who have personal pages. (Peggy does not have a personal page because she is shy and never gave me more photos or a bio of herself. She prefers anonymity.)
    But even though I put those hyperlinks on those pages, I am having an internal concept war, my friends, and a solution is not at hand.
    I am thinking of how I am going to deal with the pages made for me, my husband, and my husband and I together.
    I cannot imagine clearly how a Site Menu would look at the topmost level and much less of an idea how each page would look several levels down.
    I welcome any direction you could send my way. I would like to know how you organized your pages, how you decided which pages would not be listed in the nav bar, and what you did to/with the pages that were not listed in the nav bar.
    Would you please send me the URL of your website so that I can SEE what you are talking about? I am not good at imagining what people say; I have to see it rather than imagine it.
    Lorna in Southern California

    Lorna, mostly from reading books, Iearned the following things.
    •Don't make me think (actually the title of an excellent book on webdesign)
    •Every information should be available in at most 3 clicks
    •Tell them where they are, where they can go and where they have been.
    IMHO, iWeb lends itself fairly well for these last 2 criteria. The Navbar is a very useful tool and I suggest you do not go too far away from it.
    On my current issue of the toy theatre magazine (which is NOT a beautiful website) I wanted to go in 3 languages; English, German and Dutch. I knew i was courting disaster but one can be so ambitious. This in fact meant that I had to do 3 sites. Sites being defined as a group of pages structurally belonging to each other.
    So I made an Index/Splash page with a nice picture, a title and 3 flags. These being links to the 3 versions. (I did not want to make them think on the Splashpage).
    Clicking a flag brings the visitor to a Contents page on their version of the site. Just like the Contents page in a book. Here they can choose to go to any of the items and on each and every page of the site is a Contents button that returns them there.
    Pages are numbered in the middle of the website, and to the leftside the number of (and link to) the previous page and to the right the same for the next page.
    The current issue is number 25, ( http://www.vischmarktpapierentheater ), the previous 24 were done in Freeway and the design stems from there.
    The translation to iWeb did work well but in the end the result was disappointing mostly because I wanted some slideshows, hated the "None .Mac accounts" version and went overboard with Keynote slideshows, really ugly.
    The other problem stems from the triple language idea. This meant that I had to do either 3 versions of each slideshow, or make one version accessible for every language. This menat some convoluted linking which I will never do again.
    In short If you want to go "deep", make various sites and link each starting page to you Index/Splash, keep the starting pages of each site on the Navbar Make a Contents sidebar or something like that on each of the starting pages, and than you can go anywhere within the required 3 clicks.
    Good Luck

  • How to create site map in Dreamweaver CC

    Hi
    I have just built my first website and need to create a site map, any help greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    I use this online service to crawl up to 500 site pages.
    Create your Google Sitemap Online - XML Sitemaps Generator
    Also generates an XML site map for Search Engine robots and an HTML map for human site visitors.  I then use my Google Webmaster account (also free) to submit the XML site map's URL to Google.
    Also look at Xenu Link Sleuth software.  It checks for broken site links and creates an HTML site map.
    Find broken links on your site with Xenu's Link Sleuth (TM)

  • How do I print or export as a PDF a site map created in Muse?

    I created a site map created in Adobe Muse CC 2014. Now I want to print it or save it as a PDF so I can present the proposed website to my client. How can I print from Muse? If Muse does not have print capacity, can you suggest what Adobe application I can recreate the proposed website site map in and then print it?
    Thank you for your prompt response. This project has a very tight deadline.

  • Thumbnail images of the site map

    In my work flow I find it very useful to create a site map
    with images of all the web site's pages. I like being able to
    easily look over how a site looks so that I can post notes about
    the changes I would like to make to it in Acrobat.
    What I would like to know is if there is a extension that
    lets me do this without taking screen shots of every single page on
    a site and then individually laying them out in a flowchart program
    before importing it into Acrobat. Anyone know a extension that
    would work?

    If you get your answer please let me know, good luck

  • Submitting site maps for multiple sites to Google

    I sort of glommed on to the end of the thread "meta and google-ing...i give up," but I'll start a fresh post here with this:
    I have three sites in iWeb, all of which have their own registered Go Daddy domain names and are forwarded to .mac without masking. I followed James Tseng's instructions and successfully submitted to Google and verified my "www.mac.com/user/iWeb" url.
    I also successfully uploaded a site map for one of my sites (let's just call it Site 1), which is in my iWeb folder (not the Site 1 folder).
    My question: I assume I can create separate site maps for Sites 2 and 3. Do they also go in the same iWeb folder as the first one? Is that possible if they're all named "sitemap.xml" or do they have to be given different names?
    Also... if I want to submit these three sites to other engines like MSN and Yahoo, can I submit the forwarded domain names, or will these engines not follow the forwarding to my .mac url?
    If that's the case, is it best to submit the single "www.mac.com/user/iWeb url" as I did with Google, or should I submit each site's .mac url separately?
    Thanks in advance for your help!
    Mitch

    <As posted in the the other thread...>
    Hi Mitch....
    I hope you've been finding all this helpful so far! It's always fun to see just how much feedback you can get from Google. Sort of gives you a feeling that "you've arrived". haha.
    Regarding your question about sitemaps and multiple sites.... My strategy is this... I like to give Google sort of the broadest catch that I can. That's why I really suggest to people that they register the most general URL... http://web.mac.com/username/iWeb/ . You see how that really leaves the door open for the possibility of multiple sites, without having to register multiple sites. Google really doesn't care that you call them separate sites...to Google they appear as part of the same site...with the same base verified URL.
    So with that registered URL, there really is only one place where the verification file and sitemap.xml file can go. And that place is in the iDisk/Web/Sites/iWeb/ folder. And there is really only a need for a single verification file and a single sitemap.xml file, no matter how many sites you have. The point here isn't telling Google that you have more sites...it's just about telling Google that you have more LINKS in the site that it already knows about.
    So how do you do this? Just spider your new site or gather the links in your own way and then copy and paste the links (just the links section...not the first two lines or the last line of the code) into the sitemap.xml file that you have already submitted before. Then resubmit it to Google.
    Does this make sense? Let me know what you think.

  • Site Map with Adaptive Tags??

    Hi all,
    I seem to remember a session at the Developers Conference in Florida (Oct, 2005) where an example was given on how to create a site map using nothing but adaptive tags. I'm searching all over but haven't found this. Any help on how this can be archived would be greatly appreciated,
    ~Kevin.

    Iam using pt:ptdata.joincurrcommunitydata
    here is some code
    <pt:ptdata.joincurrcommunitydata pt:id="menutabsjoin" />
    <pt:logic.foreach pt:var="temp2" pt:data="menutabsjoin">
    <span class="CommunityPage">
    <pt:core.html href="$temp2.url" pt:tag="a">
    <pt:core.html pt:tag="img" src="$temp2.img" alt="$temp2.title" border="0" align="absmiddle" height="$temp2.imgheight"      width="$temp2.imgwidth" />
                        <pt:logic.value pt:value="$temp2.title" />
                             </pt:core.html>
                             </span>
                             </pt:logic.foreach>
    But the URL that is generated is not having the CommunityID, hence it errors out saying object not found.
    Any help would be appreciated?
    Thanks

    Do I have to add something to the given code or settings to fix this?

    I have some Admin privIedges but they are limited.  This error is occuring in another dynpage project I have as well.  I have uploaded the PAR files to the system and created iViews.  When I preview the iView I get this error.
    One of these PAR files had been previously uploaded by a co-worker and everything worked fine.  When I upload i get this error.
    How would I check permissions on this service?
    I did notice when I build I get this warning:

  • Schedule generating site map with KM Scheduler

    Hi everyone, as it takes a long time for a user to generate a site map and then get it displayed on the client side. From SDN I found all the solutions for site map are implemented in DynPage class.
    I know executing DynPage is iView or browser window dependent. So it seems impossible to schedule this kind of portal component application with KM Scheduler.
    I do hope there is a trick to do this. If there is no is any solution by now to execute like DynPage class with KM Scheduler ?
    Kind regards.
    Wang

    Hi,
    generally you can create a service which will implement ISchedulerTask (in NWDS create portal application object -> RF Component Wizard -> Scheduler Task Wizard). This service will be accesible in KM configuration so you can schedule it as you wish. This service will "cache" the data for your sitemap iview.
    Alternatively you can create a "standard" service, which will fetch the data in periodic intervals. In run method of the service you use something like this:
    while (true) {
      try {
        Thread.sleep(WAITINTERVALINMILISECONDS);
      } catch (Exception ex) {
      // now call the method for fetching
      // the data for your sitemap...
    Hope this helps a bit,
    Romano
