Creating Alerts in Area People Centric CRM
Hi,
I need to create and display Alerts in the portal in Area People Centric CRM.
My role is that of a Servicemanager and a Salesmanager.
Could you please let me know how to do this?

Hello all,
for which version of Business Package and which SP Portal 6.0. is SAP-Reference note: 659881 "Compatibility of the navigation of the People Centric CRM with EP6" valid.
We brought the note for portal 6.2.0.4 (BP 60.2.3) and
navigation functioned not.
Does anyone know this problem and can help me?

Go ahead and do as per the instructions given in the note. Download the zip file and proceed as instructed. Everything works fine. This note is applicable to the SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 and any level of the support package.

I m woking on CRM 5.0 I want to create a new layout in people centric UI. Let me describe u: I want to add a new field in my BP.Lets say SSN NO. can anybody tells me wheather I can do in STATIC MODEL OR DYNAMIC MODEL. What is the diff b/w this two.

You have to first check whether your field to be added is available in the structure assigned to that Field group. In this case structure COMT_BSP_BP_SEAREQ_BUS1006. You can check this in SE11.
If available then you have to add that particular field in SPRO transaction for Field Group structure (Application Element-> Field Group -> Field group structure. In your case for Field Group BUP_BUS1006_SEARCH_04. Specify your View, sequence and other field details while doing so.
Then generate the field group in SPRO ( Application Element-> Field Group -> Layout generation) for your view.
Then you can view the field in PCUI.
If the field is not available in structure then it is a complex process.

Our current forms use the MESSAGE built-in to display
error messages. When people are doing data entry and a message
comes up, they might hit the enter key as part of their
processing and never see the message. What we want is
an alert-type screen that has more than one button so that
we can place the focus on something other than OK in order
to make it more difficult for them to miss the error message.
Something like this:
while key pressed != 'OK'
loop
display message
end loop
With this scheme they would have to change the focus from the
non-OK button, ensuring that they have seen the message.
An alert would work just fine for this. In order to make
the integration of this new message processing easier we had hoped
to put the creation of the alert and the loop in a .PLL file so
the only change to the application would be to change MESSAGE to
NEW_MESSAGE in the application's code.
I can't find any documentation on creating alerts at run time.
Is there a way to do that, or some other ideas on how to handle
this situation?
The applications run in a noisy environment, so having the
application make a different sound might not work.
nullYou just need one alert created in each form, rather you can reference one alert from a template and change the alert text runtime.

Definition of people centric?
Dear all,
forgive my ignorance and if this is off topic but I came across that expression when I read an announcement concerning mySAP CRM and wonder what is all about.
From the expression I would expect that the user not the process is on focus of the design, am I right? Is it just that and what, if any, is the difference to user-centered?
When I searched SAP Help I found the expression only in context with CRM - but I would expect that concepts like ESS have also a people centric approach. Are there more (to come?)?
I really would appreciate if somebody could help me out with some details or comments on the subject.

Customer Prospect in People Centric UI
Hi together,
can somebody explain to me, how to create an iView to create customer prospect in Portal?
I found two OSS-notes where I found the information, that I have to copy the BSP and to add my own view on to the customer (ie. OSS-note 712481).
In the iView "account", of the crm business package, there is called the BSP bsp_frame. In Customizing of the application CRMM_ACCOUNT (which is also defined in the iView) there is the package CRM_BSP_MODEL_IL_BP assigned. In this package I only found only the BSP-Application "crm_prn_acc_ov" - but I think this is not the account BSP.
Have anybody an idea, which BSP-Application I have to copy? Where I'll give in the new iView the information for the new BSP-Application? Which steps I have to do in customizing?

I'm working with CRM 4.0 and Portal-Application. The proplem is, that I wan't to create(!) business partners in the role prospect (BUP002) and additional in role general (00000). SAP delivers only two iViews one to create business partners in role "sold-to" (CRM001) and one to create competitors (CRM005) (see OSS-Note).

Create alert for subscription remainder
Hi all,
could somebody share about how to create subscription alert from ECC 6.0 (i'm using IS-Media Sales and Distribution), and display alert in CRM 2007 dashboard. For example if subscription is for 1 year for w eekly magazine and remaining weeks are 4 weeks, then something in CRM or ECC triggered to create alert in CRM 2007 so sales admin will see that subscriber will remain 4 weeks (editions) in the next delivery...

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to create an alert for a user at a list.
You can use the following PowerShell command to achieve it:

Based on your health analyzer rule, you can change EventType. You can also change the DeliveryChannels option to SMS and AlertFrequenct option to Daily.

For this service ticket, kindly check the Org Unit maintained in Transaction and table OFIC_BILLORG_SRV are same. If not same kindly make changes in the following path in SPRO.

==> Cross-System Assignment of Organizational Units
==> Assign Billing Units to Service/Sales Organizations

How to create a Sales BOM in SAP CRM 7.0 system? What is the transaction code for it ? I want to define a high level Package material in the BOM and 3-4 low level items in this BOM. What are the steps to achieve this ? We do not have ECC system connected to CRM and we are using CRM 7.0 as stand-alone system.

How to read outlook mailbox and create corresponding e-mail activities in CRM
On premises CRM 2013 SP1:
current configuration for incoming and outgoing:
all of the users in our organization use Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook as the incoming
and The E-mail Router is used to send outgoing e-mail that users create in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
my requirement:
We have a mailbox that sits on outlook 2013.
Requirement is to read all email messages reaching this mailbox and then create corresponding e-mail activities in CRM.
what are the possible solutions for this?Create a Queue in CRM with the same email address as that Exchange mailbox.
Set that Queue's incoming mail option to "Email router".
Go to the Email Router, confirm that your incoming settings work, then load the CRM settings. You should see that Queue as an incoming option.
Validate and publish the Email Router settings with the updated Queue.
That will let CRM receive mail on that Exchange mailbox. And if that mailbox is for a CRM user and not a generic mailbox, change the CRM settings on their User account instead of a Queue.

Find the Exact exits and badis for ur requirement.
How to fine the exact badi:
1) Goto se24 (Display class cl_exithandler)
2) Double click on the method GET_INSTANCE.
3) Put a break point at Line no.25 (CASE sy-subrc).
Now
4) Execute SAP standard transaction
5) Press the required button for which you need to write an exit logic, the execution will stop at the break point.
6) Check the values of variable 'exit_name', it will give you the BADI name called at that time.
7) This way you will find all the BADIs called on click of any button in any
transaction

Scenario is to Create or update Business partner in CRM from thirdparty system via PI
It would be great if you could clarify the following
Hope we have BAPI to create and Update Business partner in CRM system but my question is
1. Can we use any predelivered PI content - Message Interfaces - as proxies ( Server proxies ) to create BP from system ?
2. Same interface will work for Update as well ?
IF so what is that content ? where to find for our PI System ?
3. Can we use the same way for Client proxies as well when we want to update the business partner ?
4. What are the inbound and outbound Message Interfaces are available ?

I think that i am not described my question properly , Say i have CRM system where i have to create BP for this input comes from external system (forget about the system ) , Here i want to use Proxy (Server proxy ) which helps me create Business partner in CRM system .
Here my question is If sap delivers the Inbound interface ( where server proxy already generated by SAP) , which i will use to create BP ?
Can we do in this way ?
