Creating an instrument handler/driver in CVI

I am reposting a question I had last week about creating a server/instrument in an app, with a slight change. I have an application that I have to interface to. This existing application is a LabView based app which connects to and controls different instruments connected to the system. I need an interface to a tool that is an application under development in CVI, that needs to exist as an instrument would, connected to the system. I am looking for help/examples in what software interface in CVI is used in the instruments connected by a network connection. The tool must act as an instrument to minimize any impact to the existing LabView application.

While creating TYPE remove semi colon from end of the statement and also dont use extra / as / means execute last statement so you may encounter error..

I see no good reason to create a separate partition unless you're backing up with Time Machine. TM prefers to have it's own volume, so in that case partitioning would probably be a good idea.

No, probably not. As long as you're not getting the drive too full - opinions vary but about 20GB remaining should be plenty for most uses - you probably won't see any overall change in performance just from moving the iTunes content.

HI tasclix, it depends what you mean by an OS X boot drive.
If you want a recovery disk from which you can reinstall (by re-downloading) or recover from a time machine backup, then nbar is correct.
If, however, you want to boot and run the OS X installer from the USB drive (so that you don't need to download again), then you will need a copy of "Install OS X Mavericks.app"; see this article:

Before downloading again, search your system to see if the installer is still there - it's usually in the /Applications folder unless it has been deleted, but check your whole system for it anyway, you never know, you might still have it somewhere.

How to create a system recovery USB drive?

My U845-S406 crashes every 15 minutes with a BSOD referencing iastor.sys.
Multiple diagnostics say it is all good.
Multiple virus softwares say it is clean.
It crashes even quicker in safe mode.
I have the latest Toshiba raid drivers, but updated to a more recent Intel set. The error changes to iastora.sys, and goes back to iastor.sys when I switch back to the Toshiba drivers.
I booted holding down 0, and told it to restore; but it promptly crashes.
I made a W7 disk and tried to load it, but it promptly crashes.
As a last resort before throwing the computer out, I want to create a system recovery USB drive, format the harddrive and try recovering from the USB; but I don't have the Toshiba Recovery Media Creator (or any Toshiba software at all...) I downloaded a copy and ran it, but it says I don't have a HDD Recovery Area.
I know I have one because 1) I can access it by hold down 0, and 2)Partition Wizard showes it.
So, how can I create a system recover USB drive (or make Recovery Media Creator find the HDD recovery Area...)
Interestingly, the other day it spent 90 minutes installing a W7 update without a problem, but crashed immediately when done. Maybe that means something.

For generic error handling framework or common error handling framework...create a bpel process which takes the error details payload and sends the inf/data as email to the particular receipients.
create business process with bpel process and proxy using business service.so wen ever error occurs at stage or route or proxy level ..call error handler action in OSB.Assign error handler details to the bpel input payload.

Passing Engine Handle to LabWindows CVI

Hi All,
I have run into a situation in test stand where I want to use it in conjunction with a DLL that I have developed in CVI. In order have them interact properly, I wanted to pass the current TestStand Engine handle into my CVI DLL. Afterwards, the plan is to use that engine handle along with the tsapicvi activeX control to do what I need to do.
However, I cannot seem to get this working correctly, as I keep getting an invalid handle error from my CVI activeX controls with the handle I have passed into it from teststand. Here is what I have so far.
In TestStand Sequence A calls the CVI DLL:
Sequence A has a single parameter called Engine.
Parameter Engine has the teststand Category TSObject with type TS::IEngine passed By Value.
The value passed into the parameter Engine is RunState.Engine
The CVI DLL has a single function GetHandle
GetHandle has a single parameter which is TSObj_Engine *ts_engine.
This function calls TS_EngineGetLicenseDescription (*ts_engine, NULL, 0, &desc); (just a random function that I use to test it).
Any suggestions on where I might have gone wrong with this?

To answer your question, yes, I do set the Engine parameter in TestStand to RunState.Engine.
However, all I know about the TS:IEngine containter is that it has one (or more) data fields that get passed to my DLL. I don't know what those fields are, so on the DLL end I am not sure what I should be getting. i.e. the function prototype in my DLL should probably contain some struct, but I don't know what the struct is. The only guess I can make is that teststand is passing me a TS_IID_Engine type struct (defined in tsapicvi.h). However there are 4 data fields in this struct convienently labeled Data1 - Data4, all of which i tried using as a handle, and none of which worked.
