Creating Tcode for Custom Table

Hi all,
I have created a custom table ZSALESMANAGER, I have created a Maintenance view for this table ZSALESMANAGER_MV. I have to create a custom Tcode for this maintenance. so that when the i enter this tcode i should get the maintenance view scree of the table.
Please help me, how to do this.

Hi,
You need to create search helps based on this table for each filed or one for all the fields with proper import and export paramters. Or else you can give check table entries for each of the table fields for which you need the F4 help. Check table us assigned to a field using the Foriegn key assignment.

Creating TPR for customized table

I want to create transport a customized table to QA from Dev box.
I know how to create transport request for reports and smartforms and all.
But How do I create transport request for customized table ?
Is it thorugh SM30 ?
Please help me...

this depends on the Table maintenance dialog for the table. (utiliteis->table maint generator).
If it has the recording routine set as 'standard' then SM30 will automatically create a transport when you hit the save button after perfroming maint on the table.
For 'no, or user..' you will have to manually add entries to a transport.
Go to SE10. Display your transport. Double click on the development/correction line. Now you can see a list of objects belonging to the task. Hit the 'display/change' toggle button. Add an entry with program id R3TR and object TABU. Enter the table name in the object name. Double click opn the function icon to the right of the object name. Double click in the empty table key area. This pops to allow you to enter the keys you require to transport.

Create BAPI for Custom Table in BW - Urgent

Hello BAPI gurus,
I am Portal Developer and not an ABAP developer. I am creating a Web Dynpro screen to insert data into a transparent table in BI ODS.
I need to create a BAPI to insert/update/delete and select the values from the custom table. We dont have an ABAP developer in house, so I am trying to create the BAPI my self. I would really appreciate if some one can give me steps to create a BAPI, and links to any documents.
I think I have to create a Function Module using SE37. Is there a way to generate code based on the table structure or do I have to write Manually. If any one has an example of code to do insert/update/delete and select, I would really appreciate.

Hi Raghu,
Yes you can create a BAPI using Se37 and for deleting,Update or selection we have UPDATE,DELETE,SELECT statements. Just do F1 after writing those keywords and you will get the syntax. All the data you need to update needs to be passed using the IMPORT parameters.

Check table
check table and value table
For example you have Employee master table & Employee Transaction table.
When ever an employee Transacts we need to check whether that employee exists , so we can refer to the employee master table.
This is nothing but a Parent & Child relationship . Here data can be maintained at client level , no development involved.
As per DBMS what we call foregin key table, is called as check table in SAP.
1. The contents of the check will be used as an input help(F4 Help) for a particular field on which a check table is assigned.
But the contents of Value Table are never used in Input Help.
The Heirarchy which decides from where to used the Input Help is:
1. Input help defined explicitly in ABAP Program or Dialog Module.
2. Input Help Attached to the referenced Database Table field.
3. Using the contents of Check Table as an input help if neither (1) or (2) help are there.
4. Input help from Fixed value or Value range given in Domain.
Check Table: The ABAP Dictionary allows you to define relationships between tables using foreign keys . A dependent table is called a foreign key table, and the referenced table is called the check table. Each key field of the check table corresponds to a field in the foreign key table. These fields are called foreign key fields. One of the foreign key fields is designated as the check field for checking the validity of values. The key fields of the check table can serve as input help for the check field.
Value Table: Prior to Release 4.0, it was possible to use the value table of a domain to provide input help. This is no longer possible, primarily because unexpected results could occur if the value table had more than one key field. It was not possible to restrict the other key fields, which meant that the environment of the field was not considered, as is normal with check tables.
In cases where this kind of value help was appropriate, you can reconstruct it by creating a search help for the data elements that use the domain in question, and using the value table as the selection method.
Check table will be at field level checking.
Value table will be at domain level checking ex: scarr table is check table for carrid.

You can create new Tcode from Tcode SE93
Fill all the attributes
Give your custom txn name 'ZTXN'.
Give the Short text for it .... (This short text will appear if u choose this txn as favourites on SAP Easy access)...
Select the Object type of your program from the 5 radiobuttons that come up..Select 2nd option if its a report program. Press Enter.
When you go to the next screen, Enter name of the Program(ZPROG) you are intending to make the transcation for ...
Save the Transaction.
Now you can type the transaction ... 'ZTXN' in the command bar that will take you to the selection screen of the program ZPROG...

Hi,
You need to create a custom message type and custom IDOC type for this with whatever fields you want send. You need to create segments (WE30), IDOC type (WE30), Message types (WE81) and assign the message type to the IDOC type (WE82).
You will have trigger the IDOC using a Report or something after doing the partner profile settings.
Similary in the target system also, you will have do all the settings.

Tcode for any table

I have created a ztable and maintained table maintenance generator . On production server user want a Tcode for particular table that auto maticaly open the screen where data will be posted.

Hi,
There is no tcode for any table.
Itu2019s only other way that u use tables in your transactions.
Press F1 in the field for which u want the table.
Then it will show some description... there clicks on technical settings button
in properties it will show some info including table name....

Tcode for customer deletion

What is the Tcode for customer deletion and what is the process, like VD01 for create customer and VD02 for update customer.
What is the Icon we use for update like ICON_DELETE for deletion.

Hi,
You can mark a customer for Deletion and not physically delete it from the database for business continuity purposes.
Go to VD02 and enter the customer you want to delete.
Then Click on Extras->Deletion Flags.
Then it will take you to a screen with various options for Deletion.
Select the option Deletion Flags->All Areas to delete all data.

You can add to an existing function group, there's nothing technically to stop you doing this. However, consider that this is creating generated function modules in this function group and you would be wise to avoid using a function group containing manually created modules.
I personally always create a new function group, using the name of the table as the name of the function group.

Hi,
Try to create custom t-code for KE30report using transaction with Variant.
go to t-code SHD0 and create a transaction variant for the t-code KE30..
and next go to se93> select transaction with Variant> enter transaction and transaction variant and
-->save and activate..

Creating TCode for Maintanace View

I created a maintenance view for a ztable.
Ex. ZVIEW.
I dont want to give authorization of SM30 to User.
now i want to create a tcode for this.
in se93 i created a tcode by using parameters option.
But in this i have to give Tcode : SM30. but there is no authorization for sm30.
How to create tcode for this without authorization of sm30.

1) Create a table maintainance/View for the Z* Table.
Once you create the view goto SE93>Select Parameter transaction and give the short desc.>
Give the transaction as SM30(Skip the first screen-optional)>Check all check boxes under GUI support>In the default values(grid)section first row give the VIEWNAME as you created initially and the second row UPDATE as X.
2)The SAP naming convention reserves underlining in the second or third position for special objects. The object which you are processing does not belong to these special objects.

Table Maintanance Generator is used to create/change/delete table entries in a particular table.
In the production system, end-users will not be having access to transaction codes like SE11 and SE16. Developers will not be having access to many transaction codes including the above two.To view the contents of the database table, we will use SE16n in Production system. All these authorizations will be maintained by BASIS team, by creating access profiles.So in order to edit or create the contents of a database table, we should go for table maintenance generator. In real time, authorizations will be maintained in production system.
The second reason is, we can edit or create multiple entries at a time, using tablemaintenance generator.
Apart from that we have options like 'Enter conditions' in table maintenance screen SM30.

For this i followed this navigation.
From Se11
Given the table name
Clicked on change
Clicked on Utilities
Clicked on Table maintainence Generator
Clicked on Environment
Then It showing Transaction code in diabled mode
How i can enable?
Is it possibel to create the tcode for the table or not >
If yes, How ? Plz clarify.

Hi Prashanth,
If your purpose is to provide a T-code for entering values directly in to table without going to SE11 , create entries like that. Then What Sravathi suggested is the right approach . This is the standard approach to provide table maintenanance to the users who require it like Functional people and end users .
1.T-code SE93
2. Give the Tcode according your naming conventions.
3.choose Create then it will ask for the description
in the lower of the screen you can see 4 options select the last one .
4.In the Transaction Input box give SM30 and make a check mark in the below check box , skip intial screen.
5.In the end of the screen you can find subscreen lablled Default value
select VIEWNAME in the column NAME OF SCREEN FIELD and in the next column type your Z-TABLE.
If your requirement is to provide this T-CODE for inserting/modifying values then Type UPDATE in NAME OF SCREEN FIELD Column and the next column 'X'.
If your requirement is to just show the table then you can select SHOW .
