Creating website and changing computers

Alright,
I am new to website creation and look forward to using iWeb.
Here is my question:
Currently I have iWeb on a Powerbook G4.
Eventually I intend to buy a MacBook Pro.
If I create a website on my Powerbook, will I encounter problems with access and updating my website when I switch over to a MacBook Pro? I hope to use the same software. If I understand, iWeb is universal. Currently I have 1.1.2

When you eventually get your new computer, just make sure to copy over the iWeb Domain file from the old computer. This single file is all you need to transfer over to preserve your iWeb work from the old computer.
In fact, this file is responsile for keeping all of your iWeb work, so if you haven't already you should start keeping backups of this file whenever you make changes to your site.
The file is located on your hard drive. Look inside the Users/username/Library/Application Support/iWeb/ folder. It should be the only file there. Make a copy of it and put it somewhere safe on a regular basis.

I am unable reproduce the error you are reporting with EA 1.0 on my Mac.
To clear your Edge preferences, delete this folder: /Users/username/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Edge Animate/1.0.0
Let us know if clearing the prefs fixes it. If not, please provide more info if there are any other steps to reproduce the error, as well as which version of MacOS X and your EA version (in the about box).
Also, I'm not sure if your plug-in is causing the problem (especially if it happens with a new project and you haven't referenced the plug-in in the HTML file) - but can you provide more information about the plug-in you're using?

IPhone now does not go to Website, and changes address.

I used to be able to access a website:
www.rescueridge.petfinder.com from my iPhone, but now
it changes it to:
http://m.petfinder.com/
The www.rescueridge.petfinder.com website works from my
computer, but not the iPhone. Is this related to the quirk
that you can't access MobileMe from an iPhone also?

Safari isn't changing the URL for this website on its own.
The provider of the website includes a full version, and a mobile version of the website - for cell phones with a browser. With the exception of flash content, the iPhone is close to being a full browser on a mobile device, but Safari on the iPhone is a mobile version of the browser, and is detected as such when visiting a website that includes a full and mobile version of the website. The website provider is automatically directing Safari on the iPhone to the mobile version.
I just entered www.rescueridge.petfinder.com with Safari on my iPhone and I was automatically directed to the mobile version.
Most website providers that include a full and mobile version of their website include an option to select the full version after being redirected to the mobile version with a cell phone. At the bottom of the mobile version of this website is a Full Internet Site selection. Selecting this should take you to the full version, and this should be saved as a cookie with Safari on your iPhone - if you have selected to store cookies from visited websites.
If not, after the full internet site is selected and the full version of the website is loaded, create a webclip of the URL on your home screen, and/or save the URL for the full version as a bookmark.

I create with VBA an Illustrator sheet with custom size:

Yet another how-to on ITunes and changing computers

I had to set my laptop back to factory settings, causing me to lose my iTunes library. I'd backed it up to an external hard drive, so I reloaded the library from that to avoid wiping out the library on my iPod (which I've done in a past life and was none too happy about despite reading up on how not to make that mistake). I haven't figured out how to recover my playlists (not yet the question) or how to safely synch with my big iPod (not yet the question). All I want to do at this stage is be able to copy a newly-made playlist from my iTunes library onto my iPod shuffle, as I don't care about losing the music on it. However, when I try to do this, I get a message stating that no songs can be copied to this iPod. I suppose this may mean iTunes doesn't realize all this stuff is authorized and legal and certainly paid for, but I don't know how to get all this straightened out to work again. Is there a straightforward how-to on how to get all my iStuff talking to each other again?

I've had to set my laptop back to recovery quite a bit lately due to different reasons. My entire mp3 collection is held on an external HD not organised in the iTunes library as it is larger than the HD on my laptop. All it means is I have to have my external HD attached and turned on whenever I use iTunes.
What I do to recover iTunes is the following steps:
1 Copy the complete 'C:\Users\username\Music\iTunes' folder onto my external HD.
3 Rename the folder on the external HD as 'oldiTunes'
3 Recover my laptop to factory settings
4 Install a new copy of iTunes
5 Copy the 'oldiTunes' folder from the external HD to 'C:\Users\riobravocmd\Music' on the laptop
6 Delete the 'C:\Users\riobravocmd\Music\iTunes' folder completely
7 Rename the 'oldiTunes' folder as 'iTunes'
This way when I next open iTunes all my library is in place including my playlists. Also when I next plug in my iPod it syncs perfectly.
I also make a copy of the ITunes folder onto the external HD once a month so if anything does go awry with the library I have a recent backup available.
Might seem long winded to some but it works for me.

We have a business case where in, I need to update the installation facts using BAPI_UTILINSTALLATION_CHANFACT. But our development environment system does not have any installation facts created earlier. So I am trying to create one and change the same using the BAPI.
So I want to know how to create the installation facts using which T-Code and how to use the BAPI for change.

Hi,
For creating/changing/displaying change requests, you need to give access for SE01, SE09/SE10.
You needn't give access to transaction SE03 to all users, only super users should have that access from security point of view.

If the remote files are in a subfolder such as www or

or similar, put that folder name into the "host directory"

open the Files Panel of dreamweaver.
Connect to the remote site.
Select the remote files and GET them.

On my windows Itunes I changed computers and ended up with two of every song. How do I delete the duplicates without doing it one at a time?

I have duplicates of all the songs on my windows 7 computer. I changed computers and ended up with duplicates of all of my songs. How can I delete them all without having to do it one at a time? thanks!

Apple's official advice is here... HT2905 - How to find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library. It is a manual process and the article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls.
Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items to display duplicates as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks, however this works best when performed immediately after the dupes have been created. If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin.
Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this thread for background and please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping.

Can you change the FTP URL for Azure Websites and link to a Domain Name FTP?

I have created an Azure Website, and have regisetered the correct Domain Name details for the site. What i want to understand is can i do the same for the FTP address via Azure?
Rather than use the default ftp://waws-XXX-XXX.ftp.azurewebsites.windows.net/ i want to change to be FTP.<Domain Name>.comi do not see the option to do this via Azure?
would i have to create a CNAME on my domain registrar to deal with this instead?

are you able to ftp to domainname.ext?
if you can ftp to domainname.ext and instead you want to ftp to FTP.domainname.ext then yes you need dns map

Created and changed columns strategy in HtmlDb?

I have two date columns on all my tables created and changed. Created is not null. The columns are maintained by database triggers. I would like for these two columns to be displayed but not changed in a form.
I have tried different ways to do this:
1) Text Field (Disabled, does not save state)
Create works fine but updating gives an error because the created column can not be null.
2) Text Field (Disabled, saves state)
Create works fine but updating gives ORA-01821: date format not recognized. I use a format mask like this: DD.MM.YYYY HH24:MI:SS
3) Date Picker (use application format mask)
Works fine but it ignores my format mask and the user can now change the dates.
Has anybody done this with success? Also it would be nice with a solution that does not involve a lot of code sine I have to do this lots of places :-)

I have a Nano, where I changed computers and moved my library. Now my nano doesn't recognize the location or the song on the nano. How do I update my library so the nano will recognize.

I have an IPOD Nano. I had it originally set up on another computer where I would down load my songs that I purchased from ITunes. My Nano would sync up with my PC when I would plug it in. I had to change computers, so I moved all my songs / library to my new PC. I downloaded the ITunes process to my new PC and then purchased a song. I saw the song in my download area of my PC under ITunes Media / downloads. However, my nano would not sync as it is still referencing the prior location, which was on my old PC. I moved the song directly to the Nano when it was plugged in. I see the song on the Nano directory when I have it plugged in to the PC via the USB cable. I even click on the song and I hear it play from the Nano on the PC. However, when I go to look for the song directly from my song listing from the Nano music screen, it doesn't list he song or the artist as being on the Nano.
I have tried to follow the online instructions for erase and sync the old library to the new, but that doesn't happen. Any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong in moving from one PC to another. Seems to me this should be a much simplier process. But I find working with Apple products they are all harder to deal with. I would appreciate your help.

I am not doing it in ITunes, but i did down load the song from ITunes. I loaded the song on to my Nano, but in my menu selections it doesn't show the song or the artist in any search format. However, when i plug in my nano to my PC I see the Nano library on my PC drive listings and that song and artist are there. I can click on the song and it will play in Windows media on my work PC. I did notice that the format for most all the songs in my library on my Nano are MPEG - 4 audio Files.

I open a calendar on a vendor website and when i try to change the date Firefox crashes.

I use a vendor's website to change retails on products that I sell. The default date for the changes is the next day. I can make the changes happen on a future date. When I open the calendar to change the date, Firefox immediately crashes when I click on a future date.

i have had a similar issue that u r describing with my ipad, but wirh a slight variation. my calendar is working fone, but if i try to use the search function, my calendar completely freezes, and the only way i have been able to resolve this is to go into my settinsgs tab, then go to set the date, and set the date to a prior date. for example, i was stuck on jan 7th 2014, and when i changed the date to a date in 2011, the calendar unfroze and allowed me to jump to any date i wanted. i was then able to go into the settings tab and enter and set my ipad to the correct date. there seems to be a defect on the ios i am using, 4.xx, with using the search function in the upper right hand corner. the only way to prevent this is to refrain from using the search function within the calendar.
