  • FM EDI_PATH_CREATE_CLIENT_DOCNUM is creating XML ONLY for control record

    Hi Experts,
    We have configured a port of XML type and used EDI_PATH_CREATE_CLIENT_DOCNUM function module to create XML and put that XML in a directory path (Configured in FILE transaction).
    IDOCs are being generated using sales order output type and EDI partner for the same is using above configured XML port.
    The problem here is, it does not create a complete XML, it just creates XML for control data.
    Could you please help us here...

  • What is the recommended approach to create XML input for forms service

    Context:
        As part of our development project, we need to retrieve data (eg. Policy details) from different modules and using this data we need to generate PDF document using a particular template (what we have uploaded to live cycle)
    Solution we have tried:
    We have created Java classes from XSD (for a particular template) using JAXB complier. Using these Java classes we instantiated all the parameters using data from different modules and got XML after marshalling. We send this XML as a byte array to forms service to get PDF. No issues in this context.
    After displaying the PDF, under writer will modify some of the data and submit back to the application. Application again uses forms service to retrieve XML back as a byte array. This is where we had issues. We tried un-marshalling using same JAXB classes but we are loosing data for all the rich text fields.
    Can you please guide us to handle this issue ASAP, because we are completely stuck in the development stage. We really appreciate if some one can respond to this issue.

  • How to create XML string for an object matching the result of a marshal?

    I'm trying to create a XML string representation of an object which exactly matches the XML which results from marshalling the object into a request. I'm almost there except that the XML string I come up with is missing the attribute "standalone=\"yes\"" in the topmost xml element, and this attribute is present in the marshalled XML. I'm using the XML string to create a payload signature which must match exactly with the XML payload of the request, so the two XML representations of the object really do need to be identical.
    Here's what I'm doing to create the XML from the object:
       private String myObjectToXmlString (final MyObject myObject)
           throws Exception {
                 try {
               DocumentBuilder documentBuilder = documentBuilderFactory.newDocumentBuilder();
               Document document = documentBuilder.newDocument();
               myObjectMarshaller.marshal(myObject, document);
               Source source = new DOMSource(document);
               StringWriter stringWriter = new StringWriter();
               Result result = new StreamResult(stringWriter);
               TransformerFactory factory = TransformerFactory.newInstance();
               Transformer transformer = factory.newTransformer();
               transformer.transform(source, result);
               return stringWriter.getBuffer().toString();
           } catch (Exception ex) {
               throw new Exception("Unable to convert a MyObject object to an XML String -- " + ex.toString(), ex);
       }The XML which is produced looks like this:
    <?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?>
    <ns2:myObject xmlns:ns2=\"http://sunconnection.sun.com/xml\">
       <myObjectId>0</myObjectId>
       <objectType>1</objectType>
       <description>Test Object</description>
    </ns2:myObject>The payload object is marshalled to the request like so:
        // marshall the MyObject to the output stream
       OutputStream outputStream = myHttpUrlConnection.getOutputStream();
       myObjectMarshaller.marshal(myObject, outputStream);
       outputStream.flush();
       outputStream.close();When I view the XML payload of the request it looks like this:
    <?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\" standalone=\"yes\"?>
    <ns2:myObject xmlns:ns2=\"http://sunconnection.sun.com/xml\">
       <myObjectId>0</myObjectId>
       <objectType>1</objectType>
       <description>Test Object</description>
    </ns2:myObject>As you can see the two XML representations of the object are identical except for the standalone attribute in the xml element.
    It'd be a hack to make the assumption that the standalone attribute will always be there in the marshalled object and to just hard code it into the XML string returned by my object to XML method. Since I'm using the same Marshaller to create the XML string as I am to perform the marshalling to the request I assume that there's some way to make it give the same XML in both cases, and that I'm doing something wrong in my method which converts the object to an XML string. If anyone can see where I'm going wrong in that method (myObjectToXmlString() above), or can suggest a better way of doing this, then I'll certainly appreciate the insight.

    It turns out that I was taking the wrong approach in my object to XML string method. A cleaner/better way to do it, which gives the correct result, is this:
        private String myObjectToXmlString (final MyObject myObject)
            throws Exception {
            try {
                ByteArrayOutputStream stream = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
                myObjectMarshaller.marshal(myObject, stream);
                return stream.toString();
            } catch (Exception ex) {
                throw new Exception("Unable to convert a MyObject object to an XML String -- " + ex.toString(), ex);
        }--James

    I am new to creating eText templates. My Understanding is to get XML output then build a template based on the XML output. Right or wrong I am not totally sure. Either way, here is what I need to accomplish and I am not sure where to start.
    (We are in R12....)
    Select EFT payments and create EFT output to send to the bank. I am looking for some guidence. Is there a generic payment program I can relate to an eft payment bank to generate the xml output? Is there a template already built for EFT payments? Does anyone out there have a solution that they are willing to share? Any guidence would be greatly appreciated.

  • Help in creation of XML file for IDOC postings

    Hi All,
    Need help if anyone has knowledge/experience in creating XML files for IDOC processing.
    We need to design an input file (in XML format) for creation of IDOCu2019s for purchase Invoices through Interface.
    We have an existing input file, which is working correctly.  We are trying to modify this existing input file for a new Tax Code (Non-deductible inverse tax liability).   This tax code is working fine for manual postings.   But, through IDOC, tax postings are not correctly triggering.
    Could you please confirm if any one has experience on this, so that I can share more details for resolving.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hello,
    you can use CALL TRANSFORMATION id, which will create a exact "print" of the ABAP data into the XML.
    If you need to change the structure of XML, you can alter your ABAP structure to match the requirements.
    Of course you can create your own XSLT but that is not that easy to describe and nobody will do that for you around here. If you would like to start with XSLT, you´d better start the search.

    I am getting error as "Error loading in DLL" when I use msaccess_exporter to create XML file for migrations usind Access 2003 DB. Does anyone know about this? If yes, could you please let me know how to resolve it?

    Hi Daniel,
    I believe you are seeing the message "Table'_OracletblDatabase' already exists" because you are attempting to export an MDB file that you previously attempted to export, but that initial export process may not have run to completion. I recommend opening your .MDB file, and delete any "_Oracletbl..." table objects that exist under the list of Table objects. Close the MDB file and carry out the export process again. You should now be able to use the 2000 mde file.
    I hope this helps.

    You may want to look into getting Xtools ps-scripts - Browse Files at SourceForge.net then.  Most of the support is for ActionManager script code where XML code is use as an intermediate step.  There are quite a few Photoshop script in XTools .   Ross Huitt is an expert javascript programmer though is is fed up with Adobe's lack of support for Photoshop scripting particularly the bugs in ScriptUI he is still maintaining tool he  has created for us free of charge. Tools like Image Processor Pro. None of his scripts are save as binary so you can read all of his code there is a wealth of knowledge in there....
    Also there is a scripting forum Photoshop Scripting

  • XML creation for UPS.

    Does anyone here have any experience with using foxpro to create XML files for the purpose of exporting to UPS?
    It seems I can't use something like cursortoxml() because the UPS xml requirement are obviously more than field names.
    I'm trying to avoid writing a totally custom xml code, and I was wondering if anyone has experience with a similar situation.
    thanks.

    Its very unlikely that you will have a table(s) in your application that will have or need the exact fields, etc. that are used by UPS. A lot of the UPS info can be defaulted or will be completed from various tables like product info, customer address, and
    packaging info from any warehouse/distribution functions.
    Also the XML for UPS is multi-layered whereas the export of a table is single layered.
    I therefore suggest the following:
    a) learn to use VFP Collections
    b) build a procedure with a Collection of at least 4 parts i) XML tag, ii) XML attributes, iii) the XML tag data value (as a string of course), iv) an object link for any lower Collection in order to replicate the multi layer XML requirement.
    c) as you process through your data/function building/obtaining the relevant "XML" elements required by UPS call the procedure you created under b) above.  So that tag names, attributes, tag values, and whether the item is to be appended at
    the existing level or at a lower level can be used by the procedure.
    d) Having completed the building of the UPS data within a Collection have another procedure that can take a Collection and build the entire XML string from it. Use recursion to step down and back up the XML levels.  At this stage you may also decide
    to import a text file containing the constant XML leading text/string; plus closing string. That way when the XML parameters etc. are changed by UPS, you only need to change a text file and not your program.

  • How create XML example file from DTD

    Hi,
    I'm using for good tips/solution (I didn't find anyone) how to create example xml from existing DTD?
    Best Regards,
    Rafal

    Various tools are available generate an XML document from a DTD.
    http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/community/tutorials/XMLWizards/XMLWizards.html
    http://www.altova.com/products/xmlspy/dtd_editor.html

  • What should i put in Schme while creating Data server for XML

    I am new to XML and ODI also.
    I was trying to create a data server for XML technology.
    I don't know what should i specify as a schmea in JDBC URL.
    e.g. jdbc:snps:xml?f=../demo/xml/1/file.xml&ro=false&ldoc=true&case_sens=true&s=LEO_FIZ&dod=true
    here schema is LEO_FIZ, so my doubts is LEO_FIZ is a database schema or what ??
    Please help me out.

    The schema referred to here is going to be used by the XML driver for the instantiation of the temporary schema used for the xml data. It can be any name, I recommend you keep it short, as if you use an external database for the XML data instantiation it is used as a part of the "table" names.

  • How to create an XML File for Gantt?

    Hi Everybody.
    I need a Gantt in Web Dynpro ABAP. I need it for the boss to do a Forecast for Vacation. I Hope this is understanding.
    Did Anyone know how can i create a XML File for the Gantt at runtime?
    Thanks
    MSi

    Hi Marcus,
    the following link is to the JNet/JGantt developer doco
    [JNet/JGantt Developer Documentation|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/lw/uuid/f010ec31-9658-2910-3c83-c6e62904eceb]
    included in this is the:
    [Schema for XML|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/lw/webdynpro/jnet_jgantt%20developer%20documentation/schema/xml-spy/jnet-schema.html]
    You can use this to build XML to represent a gantt like chart.
    I did this to build XML to represent employee avaliablity - although we fronted the gantt through WD Java not ABAP - the java applet called is the same (I believe).
    Don't underestimate the work required to tweek your data into a decent layout. It took me days.
    There may be tools/api to help generate the XML - I don't know of them - I'd look forward to seeing any other replies to this thread from people who have used/built any.  An example of a class that generates JNet XML - CL_SPI_UI_JNET - but this does not seem to be a Gantt display.
    Cheers,
    Chris
