Can we create pushbutton or menu item in standard program using screen varient or transaction varient.
No , u cannt . But u can do it by changing its PF-STATUS that to by using user exits.

How to create a transaction variant
Transaction variants are created with transaction: SHD0
In the field Transaction on SHD0 enter the transactioncode for the screen you want tpo modify (E.g. VA03)
In the field Variant on SHD0 enter the name you want to give the transaction variant (E.g. ZVA03)
Press Create
Now the screen for the transaction is shown and you can enter default values in the fields of the screen
Press Enter. Now a screen that enbles you to make further customizing (Hide, Output only, Invisible, Mandatory) if the screen fields is shown.
After you have finished customizing the screen press Enter to go to the next screen or ave and exit to save the Transaction variant
To run the transaction varian, you must create a new Transaction code in SE93 that referes to the Transaction variant. Choose Transaction with variant as Start object.
Note:
The transaction variant can also be called from a program that imcludes a call to function module RS_HDSYS_CALL_TC_VARIANT
Screen variants
To create a screen variant, use transaction SHD0. Use menu Goto -> Screen variants
The process to create a screen variant is similar to creating a Transaction variant. The difference between the two types is that a Transaction variant covers the whole transaction and therefore can have more than 1 screen, while a screen variant only can have 1 screen.

We just wanted to know on how to hide/disable menu items for e.g. 'Open' menu item under 'File' menu in Acrobat 9 or later on Mac using Javascript. It would be useful if you could provide if any other option is in place already.
Not sure it will work, but you can try using the app.hideMenuItem() method. See reference here.

Trouble selecting menu item using AppleScript

How can I control the order of iDVD menu items using the Arrow keys?
I have a submenu screen containing 10 selectable buttons plus the Return Arrow button. I have ordered all the slideshows in the correct order in the DVD map. However, when I run the program, the arrow keys jump the selection focus in an apparently random sequence. How can I control the order of the selection focus?
I'm using iDVD v 7.1.2

There is one thing You might miss in iDVD - So do I - the ability to re-arrange in the DVD map (block diagram)
The order things will be pplayed or addrssed is same as the order each item is introduced into iDVD.
To my knowledge ther is no way around this.

Help Menu item using Snow Leopard 10.6.2
I used the HELP menu in 10.6.2. When I requested MORE INFO. the computer indicated that I had HELP from Version 10.5. Is that what I shoud be getting or how do I get HELP on Snow Leopard?
Under ABOUT THIS MAC it definitely says 10.6.2. Tha is why when looking uo something using HELP I was surprised to see 10.5 as the version number. I still have not been able to duplicate how I got there. When I use HELP I get the blue box and am allowed to enter a search term. COMMAND I does not work on the Help screen. Hence--I must have been under an application beyond the FINDER level when I used COMMAND I.

How can I change the order of menu items using Term Store Navigation?
A cool new feature in SharePoint 2013 is term store navigation. However SharePoint seems to be ordering my terms (menu tabs) alphabetically. This is not a desired action.
I tried to enter the terms in the order I wanted them to appear (IE - Home, About, Contact etc. ) but my menus are still sorted by alpha (About, Contact, Home). I have tried to change the order using the interface but it doesn't seem to work.
Any suggestions on how to obtain the desired effect? If there is no workaround this feature is practically useless.

Group Policy question about setting Start menu items using devices and not users
I am using Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 R2 servers set up for use as Active Directory Servers.
What I am trying to do is lock down thin clients start menu options and I have been able to get this to work down to the user level. However, what I want to do is have it locked down on the machine level.
We have multiple users that use both "Thin Clients" with Windows 7 Embedded and we also have them using other PC's with using the same log in.
So, for example when you create an OU for "Thin Clients", I want thin client devices in there and when people log in to these thin clients then the start menu will be locked down. I want this to be user independent and thus I don't want Users
in the OU, but I want to lock down the start menu.

you need to have a userexit for this one, so that you can write the code to Disable the menu items, so first find the user exit for this,

so see which one is useful for you. after finding the user exit you need to write the code in that to exclude the menu items
Use excluding option when you call the PF status from your program, to do that declare an internal table and populate the internal table with the fields that have to exclude from the menu and call the PF status using the syntax given below,

Remove the space between Merge & Organizations as I did and mergeOrgs.button.display should be method in getKeyMethod() of your code

Preferably xlWebAdmin.properties and xlWebAdmin_en.properties should be updated as well. But doesn't matter much as usually internet explorer is set to en_US. Just confirm.

Changing only 1 menu item background color in a VerticleSpryMenu
Im working on this Verticle Spry Menu Bar (seen below) . I'm trying to figure out how to change the 'Get Started!' Item to be a different color than orange. Home, Support and Get Started! are clickable links with no submenu whereas the other menu items have submenus. Is there a special code to customize just Get Started!. Through CSS stylesheet I can get Get Started to change color but then Home and Support also change color and I dont want that.

Question: How do you remove Menu Items from showing up in LC

If someone can please point me in the right direction in how to convert app.hideMenuItem("Toolbars"); to the XFA SOM?
I am creating the form using Adobe Distiller from an access report. I change the Interface Options in Acrobat to hide file and toolbar menus, but when I convert it to LC, the options are removed.
I also scripted app.hideMenuItem("Toolbars"); in the Page.Open event using Acrobat and when I convert to LC the code does nothing at the subPage1.Initialize event. Not even when I reopen the converted form in Acrobat does the script run...
What is the best method of hidding menu items using LC Designer?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is what liitle I know on this topic.
The attached doc was created when Designer 7 was released and it has a table of the Acrobat JavaScript APIs and there equivalents, if any, in Designer. According to that doc, app.hideMenuItem() is supported in Designer and there is no Designer JavaScript equivalent.
My brief look at this matter leads me to believe security constraints since Reader 6.0 have changed the rules.
I recommend you take a look at trusted functions and context in the Acrobat 9 SDK.

I was using open office spreadsheet today and inadvertantly clicked on a menu item that caused the Apple toolbar to disappear when I am in open office. How do I get it back at the top of my screen? I am currently using OS 10 Lion.
Click on the Menu bar and go to View . Or, hover over where the Menu bar shiuld be and click on it when it appears. Try quitting and relaunching Finder.

Disable certain fields during the creation of SC using "create limit item"
Hi,
I have a requirement to disable certain fields from the role "SHOP" associated with the operational purchaser role. I would like to disable the fields "Unlimited check box", "Service Agent", " Invoice Only radio button", "Unknown account assignment radio button" from the screen I get during creation of SC using the option "Create Limit Item". Also i need to disable the option "Good / Service" entry box as we are using only free text items and donu2019t want this option to be seen in the screen when using the operational purchaser role.
Please advise how can I achieve this.

I would like to disable the fields "Service Agent", "Unknown account assignment radio button" from the Detail screen. during creation of SC using the option Limit Item . Also i need to make default Value "Known" and "Invoice Only". But this is in SRM 7.0. Notes You have mentioned supports only Release 5.5, But I am in Release 7.0. Any idea?
