Creation of Event Parameters With Event Creation

Hi all,
I'm triggering an event via change documents. This works very well. Now I need the old and the new value from the field, which triggers the event.
So I found a very good doucumentation on the sap help:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_webas610/helpdata/en/72/11386ce58a11d1951f0000e82dec10/frameset.htm
I implemented all step's and I sent the event container via email to my user.
But unfortunately it dose'nt work. I never get the values in my event container.
Please help!
Regards, Stephan

Hi Mikko,
thanks for your answer. With you help I could debug the container processing. And I found my problem.
Now I get the values in my event container.
It's a little bit strange, the change documents based on the structure CRMA_CUSTOMER_H not on the data base table CRMD_CUSTOMER_H. So I defined my object attributes for this structure and not for the data base itself.
But unfortunatly I get the next problem. When I use the event to start my workflow, the values never transferred to my workflow. I checkt the event - workflow binding again and again, but I can't find the problem.
If I send the event container to my user via the FB SWE_EVENT_MAIL the container is filled.
Any thoughts?
Regards, Stephan

Need to monitor event ID with Event Level :Critical , Also how to generate (powershell or otherwise) an event with Event Level :Critical

    Hi
First, we Need to clarify what do you want.
    1) You want to Monitor a Windows Event with the severity "Error" (there is no Critical for Windows Events, only Error").
    2) You want to create an Event in SCOM. I think you if you talk about "Event" in SCOM you mean actually an Alert.
There is no direct way like a tool/powershell script  of only creating an Alert in SCOM only if you are going to use the SCOM SDK
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh329086.aspx or using the Orchestrator Create Alert activity.
If you want to create a SCOM alert depending on a Windows Event you either can create a rule
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff730470.aspx or a Monitor
    http://jimmoldenhauer.blogspot.ch/2013/03/scom-2012-how-to-generate-alerts-from.html

  • Missed event monitor with event reset

I have pretty simple request for Scom monitoring, but I don’t know how to do it. My application generates an event in custom log with name Mpis. Event level is Informational, Event ID is 10 and source is Mpis. This event is created every
5 minutes. If application failed, event isn’t created. I have a need to create an alert, if event isn’t created more than one hour and monitor must go into unhealthy state (red). If same event come back, monitor must resolve itself and go back to healthy (green).
I try doing this with missed event monitor with event reset, but they don’t work as I expected, probably because I use the same event for trigger an alert and resolve an alert. Any idea ?

There must be something misconfigured. Missed Event Detection -> Windows Event Reset is the correct one.
Use Event ID 10 and Source Mpis as expression in both Simple Event Expression and Missing Event Expression. in Missing Event Detection, use "Based on fixed simple recurring Schedule" and choose 60 minutes/1 hour.
I have configured this in my environment, and this works perfectly; if no events are logged within an hour, i get an alert. If i then create the event, the alert Closes.

  • Event Structure with Event source: This VI and Event: Mouse Up

I downloaded an old example from 2008 on this forum and would like to duplicate it.  It uses an event structure with an event case of just Mouse Up.  Under Event Specifiers:  the Event Source is <This VI>  and Event: Mouse Up.  This works like I want in LV 2009.
In LV 2009 if I choose for Event Source  <This VI>   under Events Mouse Up is not an option!    I tried Event Source: Pane,  and  then Event  Mouse Up is an option, but this does not trigger the event if you drag the mouse off the pane before you lift the mouse button.
I can copy the Event Structure over to my VI  and rewire every case but that does not seem to be a good solution cuz I want this in several VIs.
I have attached the original VI with the Event Specifier I want.  How do I get this Event Specifier in LV 2009?

So what you can do is monitor the 'Mouse Leave' event for th pane, and then start polling the mouse state.
Technically it is correct that there is no Mouse Up event detected since the Mouse Up is not happening on th epane.

the fact is that i want to put some parameters on that event.
I already try this on my bean : event.getParameterNames() but it is totally empty.
I can't put parameters on form because of the event name="*".
Can you help me ? is it possible to put parameters ?

  • Event structure misses events

    Hi,
I've got an event structure with events reading all my inputs, and one dynanmic event running every 10 ms.  The dynamic event is a pretty heavy piece of code.
It works swell, except that sometimes the events generated by inputs from the front panel are ignored.  Is there a way around this?  A screen shot of my code is attached.
    Thank you!

This suggestion is based on partial information and a picture so apologies if this is not relavent.
I would change your structure with queues, it looks like you generate a notification every 10ms. You could replace all of this with a single consumer loop which essentially is a dequeue loop with a 10ms timeout and do all of the dynamic event processing when the dequeue times out. You can also enqueue any front panel activity to the same queue in the event structure. Look for producer consumer examples, it is very elegent

  • BOR BUS2012 problem with event RELEASESTEPCREATED

    Hi every one.
I have a situation with transaction ME21N when I create a Purchase Order, the event  BUS2012-RELEASESTEPCREATE is triggering but i get a error : 'Import container contains errors (are any obligatory elements missing?)'.
In my workflow (copy of standard WS20000075) i need to get the ReleaseCode (in fact the step of validation chain) ; it's a parameter of event in standard, but it don't work.
I searched on SDN and Google, but i don't understand the solution. A lot people talk about the SAP note 0000797775, i check it and all is ok.
Sometimes it is said that we must remove the following line or add it, but who to believe?
    EINKBELEG -> BUS2012 -> RELEASESTEPCREATED
    Thanks for your help.
Edited by: ToraTora on Apr 23, 2011 4:15 PM

    I add some informations.
In transaction SWEC i add the following line :
But the system give me a message :
"Some parameters of event are not assigned values during creation
    Message no. W8710
    Diagnosis
Parameters are defined for the event RELEASESTEPCREATED of the business object type BUS2012. These parameters defined in the Business Object Repository are not assigned values when the event is created.
    System Response
These parameters are not assigned values when an event is created when a change document is written or when status changes are made.
    Procedure
If the parameters defined for the event are important for event receivers (e.g. a workflow task), this event should not be linked to the writing of a change document or to status changes."
Strange, in BOR event ReleaseStepCreated there is a parameter 'ReleaseCode' and the system tell me now that it can't assign it when the event is created, so how can i get this Release Code ?
With Purchase requisition it's work fine and it's the same mecanic.

  • Floating boxes applet with drag events need click event

I Have an applet cobbled from the net & modified. Is works but needs one major event added. It draws "Graphics.drawline" boxes with a text "String" inside each box ( the text string represents an URL location). These "boxes" are objects which are "draggable to other locations on canvas & therefore can be independently positioned by user. Each box redraws itself periodically to a slightly different screen location & becomes stationary after a 5 or 6 seconds. The point is, all of this "drag & mobility" behavior must remain intact & is not part of the "problem task".
Task: Need to have an "event" behavior added in one of two ways ( or a 3rd way if there is another ) whichever is quickest/ easiest. "Clickable mouse events" must be added to each box. ( boxes are built in a loop so adding to one will add to other locations & create as many "buttons" as there are boxes) . At each box's location, clicking one box should be an event which fires & clicking a different box should be a separate event which fires. Separate , so that URL location can be "hotlinked" to each box. That URL is currently displayed in the boxes (visible when running applet).
1st possible solution: Exchange these "boxes" which appear on canvas into clickable event "Graph panel.buttons" ( for example or some other clickable object) which maintains existing "drag" behavior of boxes. These buttons must each have "clickability" with mouse events to enable placing "getAppletContext. showDocument()" code with these events ( e.g., "hotlinked" to http locations).
    or
2nd possible solution:. The drawstring boxes are currently dead string text with no event model other than the "drag" feature associated with each box. Must add an additional mouse event behavior to existing boxes so they are "clickable" ( or text inside is clickable) and can then execute "showDocument()" URL when clicked independently.
Maybe there is a #3. I don't know what that would be. Open to try anything without losing the drag & placement mobility of existing boxes.
These "boxes" could be images, or event buttons - doesnt matter.
Not sure if #2 is possible & have not been able to accomplish #1. Must stay within existing AWT framework so IE browsers can run it natively ( which of course IE cannot run Swing graphics unless a Sun plugin loaded ).
Applet is a single file ( creating 4 classes).
html file (which invokes it) passes a string param which is broken into above noted URL strings in each box.
Running this applet, you see a "button" event ( at base of canvas labeled "NewUrl" ) which pops up an url location when clicked ( using "showdocument"). This button is not attached to locations or text of each box object ( which is the "task" to accomplish) . The button does represent the kind of event behavior which each "box" should have when task is achieved. So the box can be exchanged with buttons or the boxes can be imbued with events to hyperlink like a button.
In spirit of solution #1, here is the bonehead attempt I tried which did not work: copied entire "if" block of logic from the button event (sited in preceding paragraph) into region of code which builds boxes ( "for" loop of "drawstring" method).
    "g.drawString(doit, x - (w-10)/2, (y - (h-4)/2) + fm.getAscent());"
I copied all the "if" block of logic for button creation into the area immediately after the above line ( for loop which builds the boxes). Hoping that I could create buttons with events, along with all the boxes (which are getting created using "drawstring" above in a "for" loop). These "buttons" must also have positioning info of each box to appear in different locations on the canvas. Positioning data is not in that "if" block of code but it would have been a start to get the multiple buttons created ( even if all drawn in one spot). The "if" code block I've provieded for an example begins with the line:
    " if ("NewUrl".equals(arg)) { "
    and ends with with lines:
    " return true; "
    " } " //< -- end of above if block
This full "if" block can be seen in the listing below:
This "if" block creates the "NewUrl" button. Of course, I got a bunch of errors when I tried to copy this block to the above location:
variable: "arg" "not found in class GraphPanel".
    methods: "getcodebase, showstatus, getappletcontext()"
    "not found in class GraphPanel".

    instructions to compile :
0 : The discussion becomes easy to follow after 1st compiling
    & viewing the applet.
    1. : cut out applet code.
    2. : the post somehow deleted all references to "" <--- HERE
see, the data has been deleted again as I preview this post.
( that "" should contain an "i" array increment argument:
"open square bracket" "i" "close square bracket" ) array
    so "javac Box.java" will get 10 errors. These "[" "i" "]"
array args must be replaced to compile the code.
    3. : All array variables inside the 10 "for" loops ( the bare words
"edges" and "nodes" ) without array increment "i" should
    read "edges" "[" "i" "]" & "nodes" "[" "i" "]".
The 10 location lines are approx:
    line #65, #129, #136, #149, #195, #283, #311, #331, #477, #522
    4. : These 10 edits reqresent a missing "i" to all 10 for loop arrays.
for eddges & nodes. fix this & javac Box.java" will get
    4 class files.
    5. : cut "Box.htm" from post & do "appletviewer Box.htm"
or put in an apache "htdoc" or tomcat "servlet" http delivered
    directory & call "http://localhost/Box.htm.
    6. : of course, selecting the event button "NewUrl" will not
work in appletviewer but will work in an http web location.
    7. : post your questions to problem or fixes to problem as I'm
    monitoring closely. TIA.

Thanks for code post tip to fix array deletion problem.

  • Floating "boxes" applet with drag events need ckick events

    "g.drawString(doit, x - (w-10)/2, (y - (h-4)/2) + fm.getAscent());"
Of course, I got a bunch of errors when I tried to copy this block to the above location:
variable: "arg" "not found in class GraphPanel".
    methods: "getcodebase, showstatus, getappletcontext()"

TIA.

Thanks for code post tip to fix array index deletion problem.

  • CUOM 2.3 sends multiple notifications for Event StoppedGSUPerformancePolling with same time stamps

    Hi Alll,
I have a CUOM Version 2.3 which shows mutiple notifications per Device for Event StoppedGSUPerformancePolling with same time stamps. The message below is generated from the default All_Events for all devices.
Does anyone have a solution for that.
    Regards Michael
This message is generated 8 times with the same time stamp in all messages.
** This message is generated from Cisco Unified Operations Manager **
    ALERT ID                = 00012OW

if you get SNMP timeout on multiple devices then the fault usually lies in the path that the polling follows to get to these devices and back to the server.
The problem obviously lies in the part path they have in common.
It is not unusual to see the highest backbone loads during the night, due to backups being taken.
Make sure the most important inter-switch links have no errors.
I would rather fix this then turn off alerting.
    Cheers,
    Michel

  • Event Parameters in WDA from Flash

    Hi experts
I've alredy created a WDA with Flash inside in wich i send data from WDA and Flash make graphics.
Now i need to interact from Flash to WDA sending an event with values.
I found how to send event from Flash (fireEvent) and how to detect that event in WDA (adding and event) and get the values in WDA ; but that values are transfered just like the other context nodes, just with 'readOnly' property empty and in Flash these values are just public variables  (not  parameters in fireEvent).
I see we can add parameters in WDA Event ,  does somebody knows where can i search about how to manage parameters in WDA Event received from Flash  (and how to send these parameters from Flash in the 'fireEvent') ?
    Any help will be usefull.
    Best Regards
    Frank

    >does somebody knows where can i search about how to manage parameters in WDA Event received from Flash (and how to send these parameters from Flash in the 'fireEvent') ?
You can add the parameters into the fireEvent method.  In this sample I have the Event name newDirections. I am adding the event parameter named dirString and the value is the variable dirS.  You pass event parameters in this name/value pair format.
    FlashIsland.fireEvent(this,"newDirections",{dirString:dirS});
From the ABAP side I can retrieve the event parameter from within the Event Handler method of the controller as follows:
    data dir_results type string.
      dir_results =  wdevent->get_string( 'dirString' ).
      check dir_results is not initial.

  • Easily fixing parameters for instance creation script

    H all,
In the classical instance creation scripts numerous parameters are repeated even if they are similar. For example, the directory into which saving the different tablespaces is often the same. Also i'm looking for passing them as parameters. My first tries give the following:
-> In the .bat launching the creation:
    set MY_DB_USER=sys
    set MY_DB_PWD=change_on_install
    set MY_DB_NAME=DragNFly
    set ORACLE_SID=DragNFly
    set MY_DB_CREATION_SOURCE=F:\Oracle\oradata\Instance_creation_scripts
    set MY_DB_CREATION_DESTINATION=E:\Oracle_DragNFly
    set MY_ORACLE_BIN=F:\oracle\bin
    set MY_ORACLE_HOME=F:\oracle
    mkdir %MY_ORACLE_HOME%\admin\%ORACLE_SID%\bdump
    mkdir %MY_ORACLE_HOME%\admin\%ORACLE_SID%\cdump
    mkdir %MY_ORACLE_HOME%\admin\%ORACLE_SIDD%\create
    mkdir %MY_ORACLE_HOME%\admin\%ORACLE_SID%\udump
    mkdir %MY_DB_CREATION_DESTINATION%\%ORACLE_SID%
    %MY_ORACLE_BIN%\oradim.exe -new -sid %ORACLE_SID% -startmode m
    %MY_ORACLE_BIN%\oradim.exe -edit -sid %ORACLE_SID% -startmode a

    %MY_ORACLE_BIN%\sqlplus /nolog @%MY_DB_CREATION_SOURCE%\StartCreation.sql
-> Then in the first sql file, fixing all the variables and calling the other ones:

    spool off;
As you can see a first problem is that i have to set the variables the first time in the .bat and a second time in the first .sql. I don't know how to use an unique file for setting all the variables i need.
Second difficulty is: fixing names and directories is a first step but i would like to fix all the different size values in this same file. The goal is to have only one file with dozen of values to change before creating new instances instead of checking all the different parameters inside of the different files.
What is your mind on this?
Probably there are better examples that i don't found?
    Regards,
    Tif

One error i didn't suspect -> don't using SID with lowercase and uppercase in the name.
Thing i've forgotten to say: variables have to be set both in the .bat and the first .sql but they have to match too with values in the init.ora. That why i would like to simplify all these declarations with unifying them into a single file.
If somebody can help me, please

  • How to Enter Event Parameters in FM SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT_EXTENDED

    Hi,
I am trying to trigger theEvent 'START_RM_WEBREQ' for an ABAP Class 'CL_HREIC_RM_WORKFLOW' using the above mentioned FM.
Usually this can be done using SWUE, however I am asked to do it create a custom program that would do the functionality for SWUE.
Problem is I cannot figure out how do I enter the Parameters of the Event via this FM SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT_EXTENDED.
The event parameters for the event 'START_RM_WEBREQ' is Object Type and Key. Usually when doing it via SWUE we are prompted with a dynamic screen which asks us to populate the values.
    Please help.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Thank you for your response. But I am facing the same problem there. I am not able to populate the value of the Parameter for the event START_RM_WEBREQ.

  • How to pass background event parameters to ABAP program in SM36

    Hi team,
I want to pass background event parameters to ABAP program on job scheduling in SM36. For example, Background jobs will trigger, once background event triggered from Non-SAP system using SAPEVT command with parameters.
I want to pass the event parameter values to the ABAP program . Can you please help me on this.
    Regards,
    Anand Krishnan

    Hi,
Which ABAP program - the one that will be executed as a job step? If yes, I don't believe you can "pass" something to it because it will be started by "job starter" of SAP background processing run-time system. The ABAP program executed in background can, however, get the job run-time information using FM GET_JOB_RUNTIME_INFO, which also returns EVENTID and EVENTPARM. Is that the event parameters you were looking for?
    cheers
