Could you please explain why you need this for your personal, informational, noncommercial purposes ASAP, or are you violating the terms of use of these forums, or are you just rude and need to learn some manners?

  • How can i change column header value dynamically in IR report

    HI,
    I have created report with the help of collections. Report query has been changing dynamically but i got problem with report header names and headers names has not been changing dynamically it is always showing like c001,c002....etc so, i have created global item(G_ITEM) in shared components--->Applications items after that
    I have created process(before headers) and assigning some value to G_ITEM and used &G_ITEM to column headres in IR Report but here &G_ITEM is not showing any value.
    How can i achieve dynamic headers names by using *&G_ITEM(global items)* Please guide me to achieve this.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Defining "prior-week" timeframe dynamically for scheduled reports

    I have a number of reports that I need to execute each week.  But, the scheduling options don't allow me to kick off the report on a Sunday AND constrain the timeframe to the prior week (Sunday-Saturday).   I have a prompt built into the original query, but that's useless if I want to automate the output.
    I was successful getting the query to work against the upstream database using the following query fragment:
    BETWEEN CURRENT_DATE - INTERVAL '7 day' AND CURRENT_DATE - INTERVAL '1 day'
    But, there is no option to enter this query into the BI.Ondemand UI.
    Any insight would be helpful.   This issue is hindering progress with our metrics automation plans.
    Regards,
    -Joe

    I'm using the Web-based version of BI.ondemand.
    I don't have access to the OnDemand Desktop Publisher because the hosting provider I'm using doesn't support it.
    The scheduler is very unstable in the web version. I often get "page not loaded" errors in the prompt window within the popup scheduler.
    I've also just determined that the week-definition in BObj is Monday-Sunday and not Sunday-Saturday.   I'd need to make that adjustment as well.

  • Automatic creation of MS Word Documents within a Report

    Dear Experts,

  • Dynamic Query for a report

    Hi,
    I have to generate a report which contains a query with database link. This database link is not hard coded and would be picked up from another report which contans a link to this report. So this database link value for the query could be any. Can anyone guide me hot to write a dynamic select statement so that i could append database link value at run time.
    Thanks
    Salman

    Hi,
    You can not directly use a PL/SQL query to create an Interactive Report - that is not yet available.
    What you could do is create a collection from your query and then use that for the report. Have a look at: [http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B32472_01/doc/appdev.300/b32471/advnc.htm#BABGHJFD].
    In there, you will see APEX_COLLECTION.CREATE_COLLECTION_FROM_QUERY - this allows you to create a collection from a string. You could add a PL/SQL process to your page that runs "On Load: Before Header" that actually creates the collection. Something like:
    BEGIN
    IF APEX_COLLECTION.COLLECTION_EXISTS('MYCOLLECTIONNAME') THEN
      APEX_COLLECTION.DELETE_COLLECTION('MYCOLLECTIONNAME');
    END IF;
    APEX_COLLECTION.CREATE_COLLECTION_FROM_QUERY('MYCOLLECTIONNAME','MY SQL QUERY STRING');
    END;Your Interactive Report can then be based on:
    SELECT SEQ_ID, C001, C002, C003, ...
    FROM APEX_COLLECTIONS
    WHERE COLLECTION_NAME = 'MYCOLLECTIONNAME'The tricky part is the headings as these would tend to be the SEQ_ID, C001, C002, C003, etc column names from the collection itself.
    To get around this, make sure that the report's sql statement includes as many Cnnn columns as you will need for the widest of the reports. Before doing anything else, run the report once to make sure that all these columns are included in the output.
    Then, through Shared Components, Application Items, create items that will hold heading names - for example, G_HEADING1, G_HEADING2 etc - one for each possibile column.
    Now, update the process to:
    BEGIN
    IF APEX_COLLECTION.COLLECTION_EXISTS('MYCOLLECTIONNAME') THEN
      APEX_COLLECTION.DELETE_COLLECTION('MYCOLLECTIONNAME');
    END IF;
    IF ..test1.. THEN
      APEX_COLLECTION.CREATE_COLLECTION_FROM_QUERY('MYCOLLECTIONNAME','MY SQL QUERY STRING 1');
      :G_HEADING1 := 'ColumnHeading1Value';
      :G_HEADING2 := 'ColumnHeading2Value';
      :G_HEADING3 := NULL; -- column not used for this query, so set it to null
    ELSIF ..test2 .. THEN
      APEX_COLLECTION.CREATE_COLLECTION_FROM_QUERY('MYCOLLECTIONNAME','MY SQL QUERY STRING 2');
      :G_HEADING1 := 'ColumnHeading1Value';
      :G_HEADING2 := 'ColumnHeading2Value';
      :G_HEADING3 := 'ColumnHeading3Value';
    ELSIF ...etc...
      .. etc ...
    END IF;
    END;Finally, on the report itself, set the column headings to *&G_HEADING1.*, *&G_HEADING2.* etc. Then, on each column, set a Condition of "Value of Item in Expression 1 is NOT NULL" and in Expression 1, enter in the application item for that column - eg, G_HEADING1
    I have done all that here: [http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=16338:5] - select either Departments or Employees from the list and the report will change.

  • Dynamic name for a report

    Hi,
    I have a report query that print the emplyee report
    I use BI publisher.
    The report query name attribute is : employee.
    This name is static, in other word for each employee i get the same name (employee.pdf).
    But i want that the name of the report will be dynamic.
    for example if i have to print the jhon report i get jhon.pdf
    for david i get david.pdf
    My question is: is it possible?
    If yes how can I do that
    Thanks,
    Abdo

    Hi,
    Assuming that your link is just part of the page somewhere, then you could create a hidden page item that has the desired name in it (typically populated by a computation or process that runs Before Header). You should then be able to use:
    f?p=&APP_ID.:0:&SESSION.:PRINT_REPORT=&P1_EMPLOYEENAME.Where P1_EMPLOYEENAME is the hidden page item name.

  • How to Dynamically Select the Data File for a Report at Print Time

    How do you configure a Crystal report to ask for the file to be reported on as the report is being printed, and allow the user to browse to the file?
    The environment is Crystal Reports XI, SP3, with ODBC connection to Sage Timberline Office data version 9.7.  The client names their Payroll unposted time file each pay period, and also needs to report on their posted data file, depending on the time period for the report.  The client will need to select both the date range and the file name.
    I have created a SQL statement in Add Command in Database Expert, which prompts for a file name, but it does not let you browse to select a file on the computer.
    Therefore, in the prompts when they print the report, the parameter offers the user a default file name similar to the name they currently use, so they only have to change the payroll period end date in the supplied file name to run the report successfully.
    The client is concerned that sometimes a user will name their data file differently, and not know how to input the file name into the Crystal report prompt at print time.
    My research on dynamic prompts showed you can link to fields inside the data record, but I did not see a way to dynamically link to select the actual files used in the report.
    Another question is that the naming convention used by the SQL query is different than the basic Windows file name, but I think I can handle that issue.
    The actual file name is typically similar to:
    04-10-11 BP NEW.PRT
    However, in the SQL query, the record ID looks like:
    PRT_00-00-00 BP NEW__TIME
    The SQL Statement using a parameter is:
    SELECT
    "PRT_CURRENT__TIME"."Employee",
    "EMPLOYEE1"."Employee_Name",
    "PRT_CURRENT__TIME"."Date",
    "PRT_CURRENT__TIME"."Units",
    "PRT_CURRENT__TIME"."Job",

    WHERE "JOB1"."BP_Emps_Used" = 1
    AND

    {?As of Date} - 41 AND {?As of Date})
    UNION ALL
    ( SELECT

    Hello,
    Sorry you'll have to contact Sage on how to do this. We can help you once you get connected but we can't help you get around their connection methods.
    There is no Preview Set Database Connection method you can use in CR Designer. The Designer assumes you select it first or use the Set Location option before previewing or refreshing the data.
    If you are doing this in the Sage program itself we can't help you, you'll have to contact Sage for assistance.
    Sage is an OEM Partner they are responsible for supporting their product and CR. If they have issues help you then they will contact us directly for assistance.
    Thank you

  • Dynamic Title for Interactive Report?

    I have an interactive report where I am passing in interative report filters. This is great becase it allows me to reuse a single interactive report in different ways. However, one drawback I am running into is the report title. I'd really like to be able to change the report title based on the filters that I pass in. Is this possible? Can the report title be dynamic?
    Thanks,
    Andrew Watson

    It,s possible.
    I'm using item references to alter the report title.
    Set the item value to the title that you want for your report and the region name as the example.
    Example: Report &P1_ITEM. &P1_ITEM1. &P1_ITEM2. and so far.

  • Dynamic url link for Crystal Reports Enterprise?

    Hi all,
    We recently upgraded to SBOP 4.0 SP2 and are looking at migrating our existing Crystal Reports from Crystal Reports 2011 to Crystal Reports for Enterprise 4.0.
    Up to this point we have been utilizing the BW Publisher and role menus in BW.
    Our long term goal is to migrate users from the BW GUI to the BI LaunchPad but this will be a gradual process.
    Until we make the final switch to the LaunchPad we need to maintain the links in the role menus. I found the Document Link option for Crystal Reports so I have a URL to point to the report that we can put in the role menu, but the system value is not dynamic. Is there a way to make this dynamic like we can do with web template URLs?
    For example, when using a web template URL we can use the <bsp_server> parameter in the URL to determine the SAP system. Is there an equivalent that can be used in the Document Link for the Crystal Report to determine the respective SBOP system?
    Thanks.

  • Dynamic Logic for a report:  User Maintained Logic

    Hi All,
    I've come across a requirement that needs to build a report.
    However, the set of definitions defined for the report output might change over time.
    Now every time the Definitions change, the User might have to request the change in the report through a development.
    Is there a way, where the Users can maintain certain set of rules and which can be maintained easily, but also allow the report to dynamically pick up the logic that it needs to process the data to the required output layout.
    To explain a little more in detail;
    Data from ZTABLEA is reported out by issuing each line with a BucketID.
    The report will aggregate the data to each Bucket Levels in output.
    But, The Logic for issuing the ZTABLEA line with a BucketID can change over time.
    So, a ZTABLEA line which was issued a BucketID_1 initially when FIELD1 of ZTABLEA = A,
    can later be assigned to another BucketID when FIELD1 of ZTABLEA = A.
    And this assignment needs to be maintained by the Users.
    Some of these Logics can be complex in the sense that they Could span over several Fields for a condition.
    Please advice. Any and all suggestions are highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    RK.

    Following in from what Kev said.
    There's dynamic SQL available  (which you should put in a TRY...CATCH....ENDTRY block), so they can effectively define a WHERE condition, which would be stored in your table.
    I'd suggest that you have a check when they save the new logic, that the where clause is valid.
    If you need some kind of other dynamic abap look at GENERATE, READ REPORT and other associated keywords in the ABAP help.

      On All Devices    MI_ADMIN   ZMI0_EX1   01   Deployment with Next Synchronization    With Role Assignment    2005-12-29   19:14:23
    ZMI0_EX1 - MCD Name.
    01 Version
    MI_ADMIN - User name.
    the above statement was a result of role sync from the ABAP server side.
    So, what's next?

  • Creation of Spool for a Report Output in background.

    Hi Gurus,
    I am working on a Report and my requirement is that a Spool should be Generated for the Report Output in background. Instead of generating the spool manually, I need it to be generated in background.
    Please let me know ASAP.
    Regards,
    Amit.

    Get print parameters using 'GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS'.
      DATA : rep LIKE pri_params-plist,
    w_title TYPE tsp01-rqtitle,
    mstr_print_parms LIKE pri_params.
      CALL FUNCTION 'GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS'
        EXPORTING destination           = 'LP01'
                  copies                = 1
                  list_name             = rep
                  list_text             = w_title
                  immediately           = 'X'
                  release               = 'X'
                  new_list_id           = 'X'
                  expiration            = 1
                  line_size             = 132
                  line_count            = 65
                  layout                = 'X_65_132'
                  sap_cover_page        = 'X'
                  cover_page            = ' '
                  receiver              = sy-uname
                  department            = 'System'
                  no_dialog             = 'X'
        IMPORTING out_parameters        =  mstr_print_parms
      valid = mc_valid.
    and then use submit statement-
      SUBMIT
      zp1012_ar_rep_vendstat
      TO SAP-SPOOL
      WITHOUT SPOOL DYNPRO
              SPOOL PARAMETERS mstr_print_parms
      WITH s_lifnr IN s_lifnr
      WITH p_bukrs eq p_bukrs
      WITH s_gjahr eq p_gjahr SIGN 'I'
      WITH s_monat BETWEEN p_per-low AND p_per-high SIGN 'I'
                       AND RETURN.
      COMMIT WORK.

  • Transaction code creation for a report group

    Hi all,
    I created a transaction code ZF17 for a report group FI02 with the following parametrs.
    Transaction: START_REPORT
    checked the skip initial screen check box.
    D_SREPOVARI-REPORTTYPE = RW
    D_SREPOVARI-REPORT = FI02
    When i tried to run the T-code ZF17, it gives me
    a message : PROGRAM FI02 doesn't exist
    Any ideas why this message comes up?
    Thanks,
    Sobhan.

    I would think that its looking for a program name in the D_SREPOVARI-REPORT  field,   FI02 is not a program name.
