Creation of Hierarchie In BI.7

Hi BI Experts,
I searced the forums before posting but i did'nt get any answer as per my question .The data is coming from R/3 i need to create the hierarchie here the hierachie is not defined before . I know how to create hierarchie from flat file .Can any one suggest me how to create the hierarchie .
1, waht are the steps i need to create in ECC.
2,what are the stpes i need to create  in BI.7
Regards
RK

Hi,
Regarding the steps for creation of hierarchy in BI 7:
1. Create a program in SE38
in this program use a data target which stores information of node & its higher levels.
In program
Declare the hierarchy structure
Declare the active table of data target
Declare int tables, structures & work areas
Get entire data from data target into internal table
Store the main node in one variable & read all levels into another table
append the levels into work area &
write these levels along with main node into a flat file in application server.
Once code is activated execute the program, you can have a selection screen for flat file name which will be generated in application server.
Once program is executed successfully flat file can be viewed using tcode AL11, in tmp directory.
2. Create an Infosource based on that main Infoobject of type flat file.
3. Once you create the Infosource you can select the data source as <Node Obj name>_HIER and then activate the InfoSource
4. Then create an Infopackage to laod that flat file into master data object i.e. the node object
5. Right clicking on Hierarchy of that Info object you can select Maintain hierarchies & you current hierarchy will be listed below.
Hope it helps.
Thanks,
Rashmi.

  • Creation of hierarchies and categories for automotive on CRM 7 standalone

    Dear Experts,
I am on CRM 7.0 standalone and I need to create a hierarchy and categories for automotive.
    Following http://help.sap.com/SCENARIOS_BUS2008/helpdata/EN/e7/f3795e2af04a96bcaa7c990f37ef5e/frameset.htm
in COMM_HIERARCHY I have created a hierarchy ISAM, then a top category ISAM and subcategories ISAM_THIRD_PARTY, ISAM_MAN, ISAM_OWN_UPLOADED, ISAM_OWN_MANUALLYwith product type "Material" and set types assigned to them.
I also performed customizing in COMM_PRAPPLCAT, assigning my hierarchy to application "Product" and to product type "Material".
My first problem is: if in COMM_HIERARCHY I assign an object family (e.g. "Automotive - vehicles") to a category/subcategory, then I am not anymore able to see it in COMMPR01 and therefore to create products belonging to this category/subcategory. Moreover, without assigning an object family, I cannot assign the partner determination procedure to the category/subcategory: how can I assign an object family to a category and be able to see this category in COMMPR01 when I try to create a new Material?
Another problem is: at the moment I tried to keep my categories without an object family assigned and created some materials in COMMPR01. But then I need to assign a Business Partner to my product. I need to create a relationship of the type PRDBP (Partners for Product/Individual Object): I have assigned PRDBP to my category in COMM_HIERARCHY, but this relationship type does not appear in COMMPR01 (while other relationships types, e.g. Object Relations, are assigned in COMM_HIERARCHY and appear in COMMPR01) Any idea on why relationship type PRDBP is not displayed in COMMPR01?
Thank you in advance and best regards,

  • Creation of Hierarchies and Categories - Batch Upload

    Hello Experts,
I have a requirement to create a batch of catories under each hierarchy of a set. I found the standard recording method for batch(BDC) program lil, difficult by locating a parent level category and then click on NEW Category. Because we had a wrong one entered(Errors spl. characters in the name,etc).. it will not proceed with SAVE option in the end. I have an approach of identifying the possible errors from the source file, but still felt not a valid mechanism.
Can somebody help me out any other way of batch upload, whether any BAPI or standard program.

  • Hierarchies dependent on more than one table

    Hi,
I am using OBIEE 10.1.3.3 and my question relates to creation of hierarchies in the Business Model and Mapping layer.
I have two tables Countries and Customer (which has a foreign key relationship with Countries). These tables are from the SH schema that comes with the Oracle 10g database.
When I create a dimension on Customers, OBIEE automatically creates a level for Countries which is the parent of the Customer Detail level. However the Countries logical table has columns related to Region and Subregion and I would like those columns to be assigned to their own respective levels. So I create levels Region and Sub Region and assign the appropriate column to those levels.
Howver when I run the consistency checker I get the following error -
"[nQError: 15019] Table Countries is functionaly dependent upon level Countries, but a more detailed child level has association columns from the same table or a
    more detailed table"
If I delete the region level and assign the region columns back to the countries level, the model becomes consistent.
I am not sure I understand the exact meaning of this message and I would appreciate it if some one could guide me about it ?
    Thank you

    I don't think I understand .
This is how my hierarchy looks like
Total -> Countries (All columns from countries) -> Customers (All Columns form Customers)
When it is structured as shown above, the repository is consistent.
Now if I change the hierachy to this -
Total -> Countries (All Columns from Countries) -> Region (All Columns from Countries) -> Customers (All columns from Customers)
I get the error mentioned in my earlier post. Why does OBIEE not like this hierarchy ? It looks pretty OK to me ?
I would appreciate if you elaborate a little

  • Hierarchy (In the attributes of a characteristic)

    Hi all,
Plz tell me about the creation of hierarchies  using 3rd type as 'In the attributes of a characteristic'  . Is anybody having detailed example of such type of hierarchy ........
    Plz let me know .
    Thanks .....

    Simple example.
    Country has many states.
    Every state has many districts.
    Every district has many cities.
To maintain this hierarchy, you can create a hierarchy on city configuring district, state and country as text nodes.
Or in the master data of city, you can add district, state, and country as the attributes.
In the report, if you keep country, state, district and city in rows, it will be equivalent to having a hierarchy display.
    Thanks,
    Krishnan

  • Duplicated wbs elements

    Hi exports,
I create a lot of WBS elements in the same project. The project always has duplication of the last item. When I call function 'BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN' to maintain WBS element hierarchies. It didn't work. when I used CJ20n to open the project, it occurs a fatal error. The system message is ITAB_DUPLICATE_KEY_IDX_OP. I can use CJ02 to open the project but WBS element is few than I created. Please help me.
    Thanks in advance.

Hmm ..as you are not able to open the project in CJ20N the inconsistency looks like duplication of WBS elements while creation
    1) Go to PRPS table and check whether all the WBS elements you created exists. If not then they were not created. Also check the numbering for any inconsistencies.
    2) If they were created check whether the Deletion flag indicator is set. If this indicator is set the WBS will exist in the table but will not be displayed in CJ02 or CJ20N
    3) finally creation of hierarchies using Project Maintain is a bit complex. While creation, you will have to provide the entire WBS elements using the Hierarchy table in Project Maintain in the same order they should appear.
    i.e. WBS 1 - Lvl 1
            WBS 2 - Lvl 2
                WBS 3 - Lvl 3
WBS 4 - Lvl 3will be represented as
    WBS element -
    Top--BottomLeft--
    Right
    WBS1----
    WBS2
    WBS 2--WBS1----WBS 3
    WBS 3--WBS 2--
    WBS 4
    WBS 4--WBS 2--
    WBS3

  • Convert Non-Hierarchical data into Hierarchical data for Tree creation

    Hi guys,
I've been trying to figure this out for about two entire days now and I'm still stuck and see no possible solution which doesn't involve a new table creation.
Thing is that I want to create a Tree to navigate through Projects and Tasks, I'm using the "Task Manager" demo app, which I have customized a bit to fit my needs.
Basically I cannot create the Tree 'cause the relation between Projects and Tasks is not a hierarchical relation, it's a 1:N relation as this:
    __Projects__
    ID (PK)
    PROJECT_NAME
    ___Tasks___
    ID (PK)
    PROJECT_ID (FK references Projects.ID)
So what I need to do is "force" that 1:N relation to a a hierarchical relation by creating a query (view) that joins the two tables into a single one and that have 2 columns I can use as ID and PARENT_ID for the tree creation.
    This is the Data Model:
    CREATE TABLE "EBA_TASK_PROJECTS"
    (     "ID" NUMBER,
         "PROJECT_NAME" VARCHAR2(255),
         "CREATED_ON" DATE NOT NULL ENABLE,
         "CREATED_BY" VARCHAR2(255) NOT NULL ENABLE,
         "UPDATED_ON" DATE,
         "UPDATED_BY" VARCHAR2(255),
         "FLEX_01" VARCHAR2(4000),
         "FLEX_02" VARCHAR2(4000),
         "FLEX_03" VARCHAR2(4000),
         "FLEX_04" VARCHAR2(4000),
         "FLEX_05" VARCHAR2(4000),
         "PARENT_ID" NUMBER,
         "IS_ACTIVE" VARCHAR2(1),
         "DESCRIPTION" VARCHAR2(4000),
         CONSTRAINT "EBA_TASK_PROJECTS_ACTIVE_CC" CHECK (is_active in ('Y', 'N')) ENABLE,
CONSTRAINT "EBA_TASK_PROJECTS_PK" PRIMARY KEY ("ID") ENABLE
) ;ALTER TABLE "EBA_TASK_PROJECTS" ADD CONSTRAINT "EBA_TASK_PROJECTS_FK" FOREIGN KEY ("PARENT_ID")
         REFERENCES "EBA_TASK_PROJECTS" ("ID") ON DELETE CASCADE ENABLE;
    CREATE TABLE "EBA_TASK_TASKS"
(     "ID" NUMBER NOT NULL ENABLE,
         "PROJECT_ID" NUMBER NOT NULL ENABLE,
         "TASK_PRIORITY" VARCHAR2(400) NOT NULL ENABLE,
         "TASK_DIFFICULTY" VARCHAR2(400) NOT NULL ENABLE,
         "TASK_NAME" VARCHAR2(4000) NOT NULL ENABLE,
         "TASK_DETAILS" VARCHAR2(4000),
         "CREATED_ON" DATE NOT NULL ENABLE,
         "COMPLETED" DATE,
         "CREATED_BY" VARCHAR2(400) NOT NULL ENABLE,
         "STATUS" VARCHAR2(4000),
         "UPDATED_ON" DATE,
         "STARTED" DATE,
         "TASK_PREDEFINED_ID" NUMBER,
         "UPDATED_BY" VARCHAR2(255),
         "USER_NAME" VARCHAR2(255) NOT NULL ENABLE,
         "FLEX_01" VARCHAR2(4000),
         "FLEX_02" VARCHAR2(4000),
         "FLEX_03" VARCHAR2(4000),
         "FLEX_04" VARCHAR2(4000),
         "FLEX_05" VARCHAR2(4000),
         "PERCENTAGE" NUMBER,
CONSTRAINT "EBA_TASK_TASKS_PK" PRIMARY KEY ("ID") ENABLE
) ;ALTER TABLE "EBA_TASK_TASKS" ADD CONSTRAINT "EBA_TASK_TASKS_PROJECTS_FK" FOREIGN KEY ("PROJECT_ID")
         REFERENCES "EBA_TASK_PROJECTS" ("ID") ON DELETE CASCADE ENABLE;
    I'm using APEX4.0
That's pretty much it guys, hope you can help me with this. I'm really stuck on this and am about to give up.

WOW Odie! You're awesome !! It worked like a charm, I created a view as you suggested:
CREATE OR REPLACE FORCE VIEW "VIEW_TASKS_PROJECTS_TREE" ("ID", "PARENT_ID", "NODE_NAME") AS
    SELECT to_char(id) as id
    , null as parent_id
    , project_name as node_name
    FROM eba_task_projects
    UNION ALL
    SELECT to_char(id)
    , to_char(project_id)
    , task_name
    FROM eba_task_tasks;
And then I created a new tree with the defaults and customized the Tree query a bit (just added the links really):
    select case when connect_by_isleaf = 1 then 0
    when level = 1 then 1
    else -1
    end as status,
    level,
    "NODE_NAME" as title,
    null as icon,
    "ID" as value,
    null as tooltip,
    'f?p=&APP_ID.:22:&SESSION.::NO::P22_ID,P22_PREV_PAGE:' || "ID" || ',3' as link
    from "#OWNER#"."VIEW_TASKS_PROJECTS_TREE"
    start with "PARENT_ID" is null
connect by prior "ID" = "PARENT_ID"
    order siblings by "NODE_NAME"
Thanks man, you saved me a lot of time and headaches :)

  • Tree interface concept for hierarchical data creation/modification

I am designing an interface for hierarchical data creation and maintenance. The interface will have to provide all basic data modifications options:
edit an existing node, add new child/parent/sibling, as well as removing, sorting, dragging and dropping nodes around. Flex tree control is fully capable of all these functions while coding is not going to be a simple task. Has anyone worked on something like this? Any conceptual ideas?

  • How to use Multiple Product Hierarchies in Shopping Cart creation

    Dear SRM Experts,
We have an issue in using multiple Product Hierarchies while creating a shopping cart. Need your help to resolve this.
Our SRM system is integrated with 2 ERP back-end systems. In material replication we have created 2 hierarchies for different ERPs and their product categories are stored in respective hierachies.
    Example:
    EBPMATCLAS is for ERP1
    EBPSERVCAT is for ERP2
Now when I create shopping cart, it allows only those products which are part of EBPMATCLAS because of below configuration..
We cant configure multiple hierarchies for purchasing so we are not able to use both Hierarchies simultaneously.
Request you to help with the possible solution to use multiple hierarchies.
    Thanks
    Rajan

    Hi Rajan,
You not need to create 2 hierarchy ID. Inside the R3MATCLASS you can see the reference with both banckends.
    Ex:
    R3MATCLASSECCCLNT001
    R3MATCLASSECCCLNT002

  • Creation of Material Documents With Mvt Type

On Performing Post Goods Issue (PGI) in one Plant in case of Plant to Plant Dispatches, there should be Inbound delivery created for already created Purchase Order (PO). In addition after creation of inbound delivery, there should be material document created with 103 movement. This Material document is triggered when the inbound delivery is saved. Once Warehouse processes are finished, then Post Goods Receipt (PGR) happens, so 101 Movement Type happens for Purchase Order. PGR document should trigger one more material document with 104 movements; this document is reversal for material document with 103 movement type.

    Hi Nitin,
Before creating the Service type of product, you have to define the Base category for Service type product. Generally the category for service will be created under the R3 hierarchy R3PRODSTYPE. You can create this category using the TCode:
COMM_HIERARCHY. Here you have to select the product type as Service and have to assign the set types to the category.
You can create a service product using the transaction : COMMPR01 -> Click on Service ICON -> Select the Category for Service Type. Then fill in the details for Service Product description, Service ID(Based on number range settings for products), Language.
Also fill other details like Base Unit of measure, Pricing condition for different sales areas for the service product.
Since you are using CRM7.0, you can do all these activities using a POWER USER role.
For more information about Set types and hierarchies please refer the following help link:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm70/helpdata/EN/46/57672501a208e7e10000000a114a6b/frameset.htm
    Hope this helps!

  • Creation of new product hierarchy and products in SAP CRM.

    Dear all,
please help with resolving of following issue:
In CRM system base hierarchies were replicated from R/3 system with materials. Current requirement is to create new materials in CRM directly (as standalone scenario). As far as I understand, I have to create new hierarchy with required list of set types in order to allow creation of products in CRM directly (product type = material). Can anybody describe changes in the system step by step, what should be changed and where?
As a result I need to have a possibility to create products in CRM directly for sales scenario processing.
    Thank you in advance!

    Hi Jorge,
thank you so much for your reply!
Here what I tried to do:
    1. I created new category in hierarchy R3PRODSTYP, added 3 set types: COMM_PR_MAT, COMM_PR_SHTEXT, COMM_PR_UNIT as basic set types.
    2. In the SPRO - Cross-Application Components - SAP Product - Settings for Product Type - Number Assignment - Define Number Ranges for the Product Type "Material" I found my new product category is unassigned, so I assigned it to the "CRM Products" group.
    3. Farther I tried to create a new product for created category in CRM Web UI, but was not able to find it in the Base category search field. All categories correctly displayed from R3PRODSTYP, but my new category is absent. What can be the reason of category absence? Btw, it cannot be found even when I try to display whole hierarchy in Web UI, however, in SAP GUI, it can be seen via tcode comm_hierarchy.
Here is the setup of hierarchies in the system:
I have no idea how to check #3 "Ensure the hierarchy is assigned to CRM application".
Can you please suggest, what should be changed in addition? Thank you!
