Creation of web service of the timesten application ( linking problem )
Hi ,
i have created the C application ( cardVerifyTxn.c accessing timesten db ) as dll.
I have compiled it and linked it .I want to deploy it as a web service in apache axis server .
Compilation and linking of service file ( ie CardVerifyTxn_svc.c )
Compilation OK .obj file created .
But on inking it's having problem . I will copy and paste the commands i used .
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VC98\Bin>cl.exe /D "WIN32" /D "_WINDOWS" /D "_MBCS" /D "AXIS2_DECLARE_EXPORT" /D "AXIS2_SVR_MULTI_THREADED" /w /nologo /I %AXIS2C_HOME%\include /c C:\Dev-Cpp\MAPI\CardVerifyTxn_svc.c
its creating obj file .
Now im linking using VC++ linker.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VC98\Bin>link.exe /nologo /LIBPATH:%AX
S2C_HOME%\lib axutil.lib axiom.lib axis2_parser.lib axis2_engine.lib /DLL Ver
ficationCardDetail.dll /OUT:cardVerify.dll CardVerifyTxn_svc.obj
o/p
D:\axis2c\lib\VerificationCardDetail.dll : fatal error LNK1136: invalid or corr
pt file
Whether the syntax of the link command is right ? I have to link the obj file with a dll (ie my timesten appication ) , also with static libraries like *.lib(plz luk in the command)
I know it's not relevant to timesten , problem with the usage of Link command
( in VC++) .
plz suggest the right command .
Thanks
sanal
Well, I'm not an expert on this but my experience is that you cannot link a DLL directly into another DLL or even into a .EXE. You need to create an 'import library' which is a .LIB file that contains definitions of all the entry points into the DLL and then link that .LIB into the DLL or .EXE. Then the DLL will be dynamically loaded at run time.
If I recall correctly (it is a long time since I have done this) you can create the import library at the time you create the DLL by including the /IMPLIB directive on the link command that you use to create the original DLL.
Hope that is some help...

Wlst command listWebServices() does not show all web services in the domain
Hi, I am trying to use wlst command listWebServices() to display all web services of a domain. It seems that it only displays the web services of enterprice applications (ear apps), but it does not show the web services of web applications (war apps). If I pass ear appliication name and one of its web module to listWebServices, it will show the web services that belong to the web module of this application. However if I pass war application name and its web module name to listWebServices, it will return "Unable to find the SOA Composite or Service. Oracle UCM Native Web Services", although I can see from wls admin console or em that this web application does have a couple of web services.
I also tried to call listWebServicePolicies, again it returned "Unable to find any Web Services with the specified Application".
My purpose of doing above is to use wlst to detach/attach web service policies for some web services. Since I cannot find the web services, I off course cannot detach/attach policies.
Does anyone have any clue how to find web services using wlst command that belong to a war application, and then detach/attach policies ? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jian Huang
From Oracle fusion HCMAs of UCM version 11.1.1.6, Oracle UCM Web Services are managed from Enterprise Manager in Fusion Middleware Control, not Weblogic Admin Console!
A document at Oracle support explains this in more detail: https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/ui/km/DocumentDisplay.jspx?id=1456506.1 :
Setting up GenericSoapService in WLS to use WS-Security:
Go to FMW Enterprise Manager. http://wlshost:7001/em
In the tree, navigate to Weblogic Domain -> <Domain Name> -> and click on UCM_server1. (If the managed server for WCC is named something other than UCM_server1, click on that name.)
From the UCM_server1 drop down menu, select "Web Services".
On the "Oracle Infrastructure Web Services" tab, click the GenericSoapPort link.
Once there you can set the policies you want and restart the server!

Calling ABAP Web Service on the system with two application servers
Hello all,
I try to figure out, how to setup a web service in the TC WSCONFIG in the multi application server environment.
Basically the requirement is that when WSClient calls my WS, it should not care about accessibility of one or another application server. In other words the WS's URI should contain the IP/domain name of "SAP Web Dispatcher" or other component, which handles the loadbalancing.
I think it could be done in ICM within WSCONFIG transaction, but I'm completely lost inside the setup. Also I was not able to find proper helpsap page with the description.
Is there a WEBLOG or any other document how to setup this ?
Thank you for your help in advance.
Regards
TomHello,
You do not have anything to do in SAP transactions.
The HTTP load balancing is the SAP Web dispatcher job.
Just install and configure the web dispatcher. Follow HELP.SAP.COM, it is well explained.
We use this config to load balance 200 000 web servce calls/day on 5 abap application servers.

Error while creation of web service model in web dynpro
Hi,
I am getting following error "no services available or local server not accessible" while creation of web service model.
I have already created my web service nad deployed it. It was deployed successfully.
In the web service model creation wizard I am not able to see neither my web service nor any other standard service.
Regards,
Anubha PandeyAre you using the deprecated Web Services model or the new adaptive web services model?
Take a look in this document: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/b2bc0932-0d01-0010-6d8e-cff1b2f22bc7 -
Invoking a Web Service from a mobile application
Hi all,
I have installed Sun Wireless Toolkit 2.5.2 for CDLC and MTJ.
I want to invoke a web service from an MTJ Application and I have not a clue of how to start.
First let me say I am working with RSA (which is over Eclipse)
My first attempt was creating the web service client and then try to convert it into a mobile application (through the use of MTJ --> Convert to Midlet Project)
I found 4 errors when doing so:
First was solved changing the jre to 1.6.
I am still dealing with the following three:
* Error preverifying class mipaquete.MiServicioService
java/lang/NoClassDefFoundError: javax/xml/ws/Service
* Error preverifying class mipaquete.ObjectFactory
VERIFIER ERROR mipaquete/ObjectFactory.createMiOperacion(Lmipaquete/MiOperacion;)Ljavax/xml/bind/JAXBElement;:
Illegal type in constant pool
* Type mipaquete.MiServicioPortProxy$Descriptor Error preverifying class mipaquete.MiServicioPortProxy$Descriptor
VERIFIER ERROR mipaquete/MiServicioPortProxy$Descriptor.getDispatch()Ljavax/xml/ws/Dispatch;:
Illegal type in constant pool
I only started to solve the first one. I assumed that I have to add the right .jar to manifest file (please let me know if I am wrong). I tried to do by adding the textual classpath rt.jar, however I am not able to give it the right path:
C:\Archivos de programa\IBM\SDP\runtimes\base_v7_stub\java\jre\lib\rt.jar (even though I split the too long sentence into two and I include an space at the beginning of the second, I still get an error when saving)
I would appreciate any help
A) to solve the existing problems
or
B) To create a web service client in an EclipseME application through any other method.
Thank-you very much in advance,
Guadalupe
PS Any clue is welcomed!!Hello rss,
If you want to invoke a web service from a JCD you will have to build the SOAP message using JAX-RPC or AXIS and then programmatically creat an HTTP connection.
Or you can leverage the HTTP(S) eWay and then you only have to build the SOAP message.
Or use eInsight. You can import a WSDL into eInsight and eInsight will offer you a business process Activity to invoke the web service operations defined in the WSDL. -
SocketTimeoutException when calling a web service from a WD application
I'm trying to call a method of a web service from my WD application. The execution of the method longs more than 60 sec, so I'm always getting:
Service call exception; nested exception is: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out
I've got this post, which tells to change the property "socketTimeout" of the client.
Read Timed Out Error
But I don't know what is the client in my WD application, does this refer to the logical port ?
I've tried inserting this into wdInit:
com.hesa.hesanet3.h3wsmodel.proxies.Hesanet3Impl service = com.hesa.hesanet3.h3wsmodel.H3WSModel.getServiceImpl();
logicalPort =(com.hesa.hesanet3.h3wsmodel.proxies.Hesanet3ViDocument) service.getLogicalPort("Config1Port_Document", com.hesa.hesanet3.h3wsmodel.proxies.Hesanet3ViDocument.class);
logicalPort._setProperty("socketTimeout", "30000");
But it doesn't work.
I've tried getting the logical port from the model object corresponding to the method of the webservice unsuccesfully.
I've tried with Visual Administrator -> instance -> Web Service Container -> Settings -> WS Clients Socket Timeout, increasing to 120 secs. No result, still stop at 60s.
I've tried with Visual Admin -> global configuration -> Http provider -> KeepAliveTimeout, increasing to 120 secs, and still stop at 60s.
I can't change model object code, but I've tried to debug it and setting the property in stubForLogicalPort and in _getGlobalFeatureConfig(), without change.
I'm using a HTTP Destination, does this have something to do?
I'm getting insane with this and I'm in urgent need of help.
How can I change the time the WD waits for the WebService to answer ?
Thanks in advance.Find solution. Check this thread:
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/wdjava/faq%2b-%2bmodels%2b-%2badaptive%2bweb%2bservice
The com.sap.tc.webdynpro.model.webservice.api.IWDWSInvocationModifier interface can be implemented by an application using the Adaptive Web Service model in order to modify the web service invocation object just before it's execution. Invocation modifiers need to be registered with the executable model class for which invocation is to be modified:
Request_NumberToWords requestMO = new Request_NumberToWords(model);
requestMO.wdSetInvocationModifier(
new IWDWSInvocationModifier() {
public void doModifyInvocation(Object port) {
HTTPControlInterface httpItf = HTTPControlFactory.getInterface(port);
//timeout for this WS invocation is 120 sec; don't use global config. setting of WS-Runtime
httpItf.setSocketTimeout(120000);
public void doModifyAfterInvocation() {}

Unable to consume secured Web service from a Dynpro application
Hello,
I have followed <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/c3/bac36a469e4c75aba646077e71516d/frameset.htm">this tutorial</a>
in order to protect and consume a secured Web service from a Dynpro application using SAP logon ticket.
The problem is that after implementing everything needed I receive 401 Unauthorized when I am trying to consume it from the web dynpro side.
If I manually transfer the request the credentials, before the execute i.e:
modObj._setUser
modObj._setPassword
modObj.execute();
I am able to call it, meaning the dynpro application doesn't transfer these credentials to the Webservice even though it's authentication property is set to true.
Any idea how to solve it?

Roy CohenTry below steps
Add jars
o security.class
o tc/sec/destinations/interface
Setting WebDynpro project property
o Project>Properties>Web Dynpro References-->Interface references
 Name=tcsecdestinations~interface
o Project>Properties>Web Dynpro References-->Service reference
 Name=webservices

Dynamically Set httpdestination and Call web service
final InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext();
final DestinationService dstService = (DestinationService)ctx.lookup(DestinationService.JNDI_KEY);
if (dstService== null)
throw new NamingException ("Destination service not available");

Error during creation of web service from abap rfc
Hi,
I'm creating a web service from abap rfc (SE37), but at the end of Creation Wizard I have this error:
"web service object already exist".
This is my first web service creation. Into WSADMIN there are not web services with the same name.
How can I solve this problem?
Thanks!Hi,
What system/release/SP do you use ?
Beginning with Netweaver 7.0 SP14, you configure Web services with SOAMANAGER and you don't see them with WSADMIN...

Error when generating Web Services Proxy for SCA Application Module
Hello,
I'm trying to create Web Services for a simple Application Module with JDeveloper 11g (11.1.1.3.0).
I start a new ADF Project, I create an Application Module as simple as possible : it contains only a simple View Object on the DEPT Entity.
On my Application Module, I choose "Service Interface" and I add my View Object in the service interface.
I test my Web Service in the Embedded Weblogic Server, it works well. (I succeed in using the Get operation, for example).
But when I try to generate a Web Service proxy (right-click on the WSDL File -> Generate Web Service Proxy), It always fail with such errors :

Can someone help me to understand this error ?
i never manually edited the WSDL File, so I don't understand why the generated WSDL or XSD files might contain errors.
Thanks for your Help,

The wdsl import a schema that import other schema, the second import use a relative path, that was wrong.
So check the xsd import sequence.... -

Hi Everyone,
I am connecting to an external web service from my biztalk application through a dynamic send port.
When my biztalk application is trying to send the request message to the web service through the send port, I am getting the following error :
The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.
The external web service team have provided a certificate and a private key to install in my server.
I have installed the certificate by double click the .pfx file using the private key and have added the certificate in the host ProcessHostx64.
Still i am getting the same error.
Can someone help on this issue ?
Many Thanks,
Anand
S B AThe Private Key should be installed under the user running the BizTalk Server Host. Please confirm that you have done this?
If so, try to make this work in a small .NET test Application before porting it to BizTalk, so that you can confirm that you do have sufficient credentials to call the Service.

Problem deploying web service with the deploy tool (J2EE)
Hello,
I am trying to deploy a sample Web Service on the Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 8.1 2005Q1.
I run into a deployment problem ("jaxrpc compilation exception") when I have one of the web methods declared (in the endpoint interface) to throw a service-specific exception. The problem disappears when I change the declaration to throw an Exception.
Here is the exception class:
public class StockNotFoundException extends Exception {
private String message;
public StockNotFoundException(String message) {
super(message);
this.message = message;
public String getMessage() {
return message;
the endpoint interface:
public interface StockServiceIF extends Remote {
// the service methods
public boolean sellStocks(String ticker, int quantity)
throws RemoteException, StockNotFoundException;
and here are the error messages I am seeing:
in the deploy tool dialog:

deployment started : 0%

Is it possible to call web services in adobe connect application?
I have facing one security issue in adobe connect
Error Description is "Security error accessing url
Unable to load WSDL. If currently online, please verify the URI and/or format of the WSDL (http://xxxxxx/WebService.asmx?wsdl)"
Is it possible to call web services in adobe connect application?
Thanks and regards
SelvanOK, so it's a plain Flex security issue, not related to the Connect application, probably due to crossdomain misconfiguration.
Please read http://www.adobe.com/devnet/articles/crossdomain_policy_file_spec.html and http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/fplayer9_security.html
You may want to ask for help in the proper Flex forum. Also, download Tour de Flex and look at the example under "Flex Data Access3 -> "WebService".

MDM web services and the MDM BP services
Hi *,
I need to know what is the difference between the standard MDM web services and the MDM BP services. How do I decide which set to use?
- KrisSorry but what are BP services? Do you mean Business package?
If yes the approaches are completely different - you use Web Services when you have to customise the application and build your logic/functionality into the app. CRUD operations are procided by Web Services - you need to form your wrapper application from scratch and develop!
With BP - it involves least development effort bearing in mind that its all standard content and not yet completely customizable. So based on your requirements plan whether to go for Business Package or Web Services or Java API completely...
