Question by Adobe Creative Cloud. So, I'm already on this computer for a long time to check in with one mailbox, and now I need to change it, because I forgot my password from the mailbox that I worked with. How to change the mailbox in Creative Cloud?

    (If there is a forum specifically for Creative Cloud questions, please direct me there)
    One of the features of the new Adobe Creative Cloud is "upgrades to all new versions upon release, plus new features and services between releases."  Does this mean that if Premiere comes out with version CS6.01, those who bought the non-cloud CS6 software will not get the update?  Or that we'll have to purchase it?

    Part of the upgrades thing is that of course, as a subscriber, you will always be current on whatever version is out there (CS6, CS7, CS8, etc). But another thing is that as new features are developed, Creative Cloud members will see those features deployed to their software as soon as they are ready, whereas perpetual license members likely won't see some features until CS7 is released 2 years from now, and even then, only if they purchase the upgrade. That's how that works.
    For updates like 6.01 or 6.1.2 or whatever, those are typically small updates (not upgrades) and are no additional cost. In the past, when there has been a "X.5" version, that is when Adobe has designated it as a purchase upgrade.

  • Are there any legal issues against sharing a single Adobe Creative Cloud username and password among other coworkers for work related projects?

    A coworker of mine shared his Adobe Creative Cloud password and username with me so that I could download Adobe Premiere onto my own work computer to do some video editing projects. Before, I download this onto my computer, I want to make sure there are no legal problems in doing this.

    Notre besoin principal est de travailler avec InDesign en collaboration avec notre agence qui jusqu'alors gérait seule nos documents PAO avec InDesign. Nous nous orientons donc vers l'acquisition de Creative Cloud (car nos besoins pourraient s'étendre vers d'autres logiciels que InDesign).
    Première question: si notre agence et nous-mêmes utilisons Creative Cloud, pouvons nous partager un espace de stockage commun ou ces espaces de stockage sont-ils liés à l'abonnement et donc dictincts si nous acquérons deux abonnements? (deux espaces distincts enlèveraient à mon sens tout intérêt à travailler sur le Cloud)
    Deuxième question: corolaire à la première question, notre agence et nous-même pouvons-nous utiliser un seul et même abonnement Creative Cloud de façon à n'utiliser qu'un espace de stockage? Autrement dit, si nous-même ou notre agence acquérons un seul abonnement Creative Cloud, pouvons nous donner l'accès (et combien d'accès) à une autre entreprise?

  • Creative Cloud  Questions

    I just bought the Creative Cloud upgrade and have a few questions I can't find answers to.  First - do I still need to leave the CS5 apps on my Mac or can I uninstall them?  and second, can the new CS6 apps be installed on an external drive as opposed to the main Macintosh HD?  This is mostly just a space issue.

    Here are the answers to your questions.
    1. Yes, you can uninstall CS5 apps from your machine. as you already have CS6 installed which is the updated version. So, in case of space issues, you can uninstall CS5.
    2. Until that external drive is not a removable one, you can install CS6 onto that. But its always recommened to install on local drive.

  • Fonts and creative cloud questions?

    I have been a CS Design user for many years, more then I want to admit. I have always owned my own Adobe product's version and my own font collections. I have over a thousand fonts, some of which are very old. So far, using CS 5.5 Design and Web Premium, I have had NO problems with these fonts.
    My question is, if I go to the "cloud" version, what happens with my fonts. Will they sync? Will they have a problem with version'ing? I am a freelance designer and my clients have become a custom to the unique font options I provide. If I can't pull up 5.5 files with these fonts and have them work, it will be a VERY costly upgrade that I would NOT be happy about.
    Can someone tell me their experience going to the "cloud" versions of InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop with their personally owned fonts?

    For fonts that you have personally licensed and installed on your computer system(s), there is no difference in terms of how you access them with the Creative Cloud versions of the applications.
    Please note that the “Creative Cloud” does not infer that the applications run “in the cloud” but that additional, optional cloud-based services are now offered and that your installation is via download from a server. After that, assuming that you neither need nor want any of the cloud-based services, the software runs in the same manner as the CS versions.

  • Creative cloud licenses, forgot to deactivate one and formatted the drive.

    I recently put one of my creative cloud licenses on a Lenovo laptop. My other is on my MacBook which I use primarilly.
    My Lenovo was malfunctioning, so I took it in to exchange it and formatted the drive, not thinking that I should deactivate my applications.
    My question is, will I be able to use my second license now on my new computer?

    Also the process is different for subscription users so we can not just allocate an additional activation as can be done with our perpetual versions.

  • Creative Cloud Question- Do you need it to use a Premium Creative Suite?

    I recently purchased the Premium Creative Suite : Web Design Package under my school. I installed it and it wont let me use it unless I renew my cloud membership. Which I dont need , does anyone know what I  should do in order to use the product I bought? If not its $600 bucks down the drain... Thank you!

  • OT. Creative Cloud question

    A client has sent over a job produced in Adobe InDesign 6 but I can't open it as I only have InDesign 4.
    Is it possible to join the 'Cloud' on a monthly basis without them renewing the contract every month? I've been reading the month-by-month page and in small print you agree that it's a 'rolling' month to month payable contract which is not what I require as I don't use InDesign very frequently, if at all these days. I'm a Quark user. This job will take less than a month to complete so I don't mind paying the £60 to access it for a month.
    It also says in the small print that you can select an option which does not renew the contract on a monthly basis BUT I can't see that anywhere. They also say you can contact 'Customer Support' to cancel the subscription but the link just leads you around and around to the same pages and NO telephone numbers at all. Smacks of Adobe making it almost impossible to cancel the subscription.
    So the question is 'has anyone else accessed the cloud for only a month and where can I find the customer support numbers for the UK cloud.

    Actually that's not what it suggests when I read the options pior to posting. It clearly says 'we will re-new the month by month option' unless you cancel by contacting Customer Support  but then doesnt really go into too much detail about how you do that.
    It also does say you can choose NOT to renew the month by month contract but again conveniently avoids explaining how to do that. Don't you just hate it when these big companies put a firewall inbetween you and them.

If I need to update the job I'll sign up for another Adobe ID and do it again.   • Upgrade to Creative Cloud 7 days ago - still no access to full products customer service not helpful

    I upgraded to the full Creative Cloud access on the 13th of April through customer service. I saw a promotional offer for $29.99/month for access to all the CC apps, but since I was already signed up for Premiere Pro CC at $19.99/month it said I needed to speak to customer service to upgrade.
    I did that. The customer service rep upgraded my service to $29.99/month and assured me that I would now have access to the full creative suite.
    You can see that I was billed for $29.99 on April 13th:
    After that upgrade nothing changed on my end. I had full access to Adobe Premiere CC like before, but otherwise all other programs(photoshop, illustrator, etc) still downloaded and ran as trial versions. I contacted customer service two more times. They were unable to resolve the problem and only escalated the ticket.
    I have not had any response from either ticket. And looking at it now it looks like one of them is listed as "withdrawn" with no notes from Adobe's end and no resolution to my problem. The other ticket is still open pending Adobe's response.
    To top it all off today in Premiere CC I received a notice that I would lose access to Premiere in 5 days because of some error in the billing information. So in 5 days time I will be paying $29.99/month and have access to zero Adobe products.
    So I'm writing this post in hopes of actually getting someone that can solve my problems to take a look. I don't want to spend another 2 hours in a chat-box with an overseas customer service rep who only copys and pastes pre-formatted responses to me. I don't want my ticket escalated and then ignored. I want the service that I paid for, or I want my money refunded.
    What I think happened is that the customer service rep who upgraded my membership to the full creative cloud suite forgot to flip some switch. It seems like they increased my billing rate but didn't actually change my subscription.

    Please don't tell me to try logging out of creative cloud, or deleting files on my end, or check my DNS settings, or any of that. I've been through it - twice - with your customer service reps already. It did nothing. The issue is on Adobe's side. Somewhere in some database my account is not set to full creative cloud access. There is nothing I can do on my end to rectify this.
    Please - I would either like this rectified, or have my money refunded. Anything else is unacceptable. And as a whole my experience with customer service has been frustrating, unhelpful, and not up to the standards I expect from a high-class company like Adobe.

    Have you logged out of your Cloud subscription and then back in?

  • Creative cloud wants to make changes

    I get an annoying popup that tells me "Creative Cloud wants to make changes" and asks for my CC password. But when I enter the password it won't accept it. But if I press CANCEL, the popup returns in five seconds. I know the password is correct because I can log into CC and also my adobe account.
    I thought maybe it was a virus, but if so, it has infected both my work and home Macs. The only way to rid myself of this popup (which sits on top of everything) is to quit creative cloud. I have asked Adobe for help but they've shrugged their shoulders.
    Anyone else had this issue?

    catker, you might be right about the latest InDesign update. My Mac's /Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers/Adobe InDesign 9.2.1 log file tells me that I Installed the InDesign update on 3/25/14, which is around the time I started seeing Creative Cloud requesting my password everytime I booted up. I've recently opened the Mac's Console utility and watched it as I enter the password when Creative Cloud asks for it. What I see is this:

    As you can see, there are lots of crashes of a process called ExManEscalatedPrivilegeServer, whose crash reports tell me that its parent process is Creative Cloud Helper:

    I don't really know what any of this means, other than I see it happening every time I've opened Console after I've booted up and Creative Cloud requests my password, and repeated references to ExManEscalatedPrivilegeServer and old pieces of InDesign tucked away in the /Library/Application Support/Adobe/InDesign/Version 9.0/en_US/Extensions/REMOVED_CC/ folder.

  • Lightroom 5 to Behance Publish Service doesn't recognize Creative Cloud login

    I'm trying to publish to my Behance service which I have access to via Creative Cloud. When I try to set up the publish service in Lightroom 5 it gives a wrong password error when I enter the Creativer Cloud name and password. I can log in to Behance with those credentials and have already set up a simple page.

    Unfortunately, a recent change made to the Lightroom integration has caused this feature to be inaccessible to some users.
    The feature should continue to work as normal for those who had previously used it, but new users won’t be able to authenticate.
    The Lightroom team is working hard to fix this as soon as possible, but it will be inaccessible for a number of weeks, so we suggest that you use Behance directly in order to share your work there. Simply login to Behance with your Adobe ID, and add a Project or WIP directly to your portfolio instead.
    Note that the other Creative Cloud integrations (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator) will continue to work as normal - more instructions on how to use those here.

    So apparently, you know why we can't login from Lightroom with valid credentials and you asked us to wait for a fix. The initial post in this thread reports the very same problem but you are giving us a different answer. Has this problem been fixed? Is it another problem with the same symptoms? I guess it's time to clear up the confusion.

               After a restore, the iOS device displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. For updating
              to iOS 5 or later, follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant. For earlier versions of
              iOS, keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or
              you see "iPhone is activated."
         9. The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup. If you do not have a
              backup to restore or have forgotten your restrictions passcode, then restore as New.
    If you are restoring to fix a forgotten Restrictions Code or as a New device, then skip Step 9 and restore as New.
