CRM2007, Fact Sheet, Long Texts (STXH/STXL)

Hi Folks
We are in the middle of an upgrade from CRM 3.1 to CRM2007. And then I am looking at the new Fact Sheets. In our old CRM 3.1 system we have a lot of self developped Info Blocks (Assignment Blocks in CRM2007). And in the new CRM2007 the users want the same data displayed in the Fact Sheet.
When i'm looking at the existing Assignment blocks in the new Fact Sheet it seems to me that all the views are of type Table. What if I want to make some different views, each containing one Note (Long Text) entry? Is it possible?
What is the best to do? In the old CRM 3.1 system I copied the Class CL_CRM_CCKPT_IO_OPENLEADS to a Z-class. And then this class was my skeleton for the rest of the Info Blocks we have developped.
One of our needs is that we have to make a Viewset with example 4 viewareas, 2 rows and 2 columns.
Each viewarea should then containe one view. And in each of these views we want to display one longtext (Note)
In our old CRm 3.1 world we read the specific Longtext (from STXH/STXL) with the functionmodule READ_TEXT. The ID could be Z23A, Z23B....Z23H and the Name = Customer Number.
  call function 'READ_TEXT'
    exporting
*   CLIENT                        = SY-MANDT
      id                            = zzid
      language                      = sy-langu
      name                          = w_name
      object                        = 'BUT000'
Is it possible to have one view displayed in the four viewareas, and then in a kind of way just change the ID to display four different texts??
Best regards
An Mery Xmas
Carsten

Hi Folks
I have now been able to display Notes in the Fact Sheet

    What to do in CRM2007?
    - Enhance the component BP_FACTSHEET?
    - Copy views from BP_FACTSHEET to Z-component, and then make some changes?
    - Create own component and own views from the bottom?
    Hints needed!
    Have a nice day.

    Hi Carsten,
Would you mind sharing how you did this. I need to create some custom views and populate these with data from ECC6.  I am struggling with finding out where in the view it should be populated with data.
Your help would be much appreciated.

  • Need to assign char in o12c to show long text of the char in PI sheet

Hi, Trying to learn PP-PI.  in o12c t-code, created instruction category u201Ctextu201D under instruction cattype (0) and trying to assign a characteristic (test) which is having char group as u201Cprocess instruction characteristicsu201D and willing to select u201Clong text indictor- Tu201D against this characteristic, but getting the error that u201Cthis characteristic is not supported for long textu201D. Please advise how to set long text indicator so that we can show long text in the pi sheet. Thank you.

    Hi,
To Maintain Long text for characteristic in O12C , you need to
    1) create the Char in T-code O25C with Data type character and click on Proc.Mgmt tab
    2) Tick unlimited field situated right of Length and SAVE the char
    3) Assign this char in O12C under instruction cattype (0). You can see the indicator in the field Text. Now it will allow to main long text for that char in O12C.
    Hope this will help

  • Name of Fact Sheet in Customizing - CRM2007

    Hi Folks
Does anyone now where I can change the name of the Fact Sheet shown?
In standard the name of the Fact Sheet is: BP_ACCOUNT_FS.
I have made a copy of the Fact Sheet, named ZBP_ACCOUNT_FS.
But I can't find any place where I can change the pointer to my own Fact Sheet!!
    Bet regards

    Hello
To my knowledge, CRM does not store any statistics. Some telephony software (BCM, Genesys, etc.) provide such statistics. Even I think that BI has a "reporting agent" report.

  • Recording Differences in Long Text Changes via Table Logging and AUT10

    Hello,
I am trying to record changes to Long Text generated in a DMS DIR.  (This field is the Language Dependent Description field.)  We have set the system profile param rec/client.    We have enabled table logging for STXH & STXL in SE11.  When we make a change to the Long Text, we try to display the results in AUT10.  A change is indicated but when displayed, the text seems identical.
When displaying Logging status in RSTBHIST, the Active box for STXL is not checked despite the fact that we have set the "Log changes" box in SE11.
Note #573291 talks about installing a PH-ELR add-on.  Is that necessary if we are already running SAP_APPL 6.04?
Also, is Table Logging the best approach to capture these changes to Long Text?  Is there any way we could use Change Docs"?
The field width of DBTABLOG-LOGDATA = 16000 if that matters.
    Thanks for any responses.

Below is the portion of HTML template code in which I'm defining the web screen pushbuttons, providing the pushbutton names, and linking same to the function codes defined in the R/3 transaction.

  • From which table i can get the long text

    Hi All
I have created some long text through function module CREATE_TEXT And i am able to see the text in the transaction .
My requirement is from which table i can get these stored long text???
    Any suggestions please.
    Thanks

    Appreciate your answers.
I have checked the both the fields stxh as well as stxl but i am not able to find any text fields out there.
My actual requirement is some third party software needs to b mapped the table fields in order to import it.
So if i know the table fields that would be easier.
Can you tell me y we can not read it from the tables?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
I had similar issue and resolved it.
In our case the issue occured for only specific BPs. So this solution may be helpful where the issue occurs for specific BPs.
The issue occurs because of special characters Ex : "#" entered in Long text.
Once you delete these special characters in the text field the issue will be resolved.
    Hope it helps..

  • FACT SHEET Configuration not saving in transport to move to QA system

    hi Experts
I am setting up the Account Fact Sheet BP_ACCOUNT_FS for my users and the only configuration that is saving is the configuration of the layout of the fact sheet to a transport.  The actual settings or configuration within the fact sheet is not saving.  For example, I used a BI report and added my query and parameter and while this saves in our development box, this will not save in the transport to move up through the systems.
Any thoughts?  I already have a message open with SAP but checking to see if anyone has an immediate solution.
    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hi,
P-table is an time independent attribute table ie it contains all the attribute info. in that table. so when u added a characteristic to that infoobject, u can find that entry in the P-table.
Also M is a view on P & Q tables. It is not a table.
T- ie Text table will contain only short, medium and long texts related to that info object.
so when u add a characteristic  to infoobject it will be refelcted in P-table or Q- only. Not in Text tables.

  • How to get Long text in IW33

    Hi Everyone,
I have a requirement where I need to display the Longtext that is displayed in transaction IW33.
Its is not the KTEXT feild pf table AUFK as this feild contains data upto 40 characters.
My requirement is to fetch all the characters that are in Longtext.
There must be a table where the long text is saved.
Please let me the table ???
    Regards,
    Raj

Press Display Text button in front of long text. You will go to editor. Then from the munubar select Go to->Header.Use these header details:
    Text Name   <Order no.>
    Language        EN
Text ID         KOPF Order header text
    Text Object     AUFK       Order text
Pass this to FM READ_TEXT.You can also refer the tables STXH and STXL but i guess FM will solve your problem.

  • Reading long text for more records at a time

    Hi all,
We have a requirement for which that data like textid textname textobject  and language  must  be taken in to an internal table and for each record in the internal table i  have to read the long text inorder to compare the long text for the given search text.
If i use Read_text inside the loop and endloop it works but it may not be appropriate in performance point of view.
Is there any function module which can read long texts for more records at a time.
The long text data in STXL will be in raw data format right? is there any way to convert raw data to normal so that by hitting the STXL i can read the long text data for more than one record at a time.
    Thanks in advance
    sanju.

    HI Sanju,
Below is a code snippet which describes reading a long text frm the screen and appending it into the internal table. This code is actually to read the text from the screen and inserting a record into STXl and STXH.
From your query what i understood is that you are storing the long text from the screen into a internal table and so you not want to use the read_text FM due to performance issue.
Since tdline(tline table) is 132 char long format i use this small logic to read the screen data and append it to my internal table.

  • How to track changes to longtexts (in tables STXH, STXL) ?

    Hello everybody,
I need to track changes made to the long texts in sales orders.
Reading change documents tables (CDHDR, CDPOS) does not work for the long texts tables STXH, STXL as no relevant data is written.
Only the latest entry is stored in STXH and STXL.
Where to look for changes made to the text tables ?
    Many thanks and kind regards,

    Hai.
    check this.
Long Texts are stored in tables
    STXH - header
    STXL - details.
if you want to read the texts you can use Fun Module  READ_TEXT
Any Application document Header and Item Long texts are stored in STXH table with the 4 parameters OBJECT,ID,NAME and LANG
These texts are fetched from database using READ_TEXT fun module by passing the above 4 parameters.
Double click on the text, from the text editor menu GOTO-> HEDAER
you will find the all above 4 parameters
so accordingly you have to pass to the fun module READ_TEXT to fetch the texts.
